  1. Re: Gold Championship 10 Match Report Thread New Signing After many attempts to bring in a new center back at Benfica, a deal was finally reached with Feyenoord as a straight swap with Benfica midfielder Costas Katsouranis going to Feyenoord and in return Kevin Hofland arrived at Benfica. There were many attempts in bringing in a new center back with deals for Marco Materazzi and Cleber Anderson accepted by their respective clubs but only for my muppet of a chairman to reject because he didn't want Costas Katsouranis to leave in those deals but my chairman saw fit to allow Katsouranis to join Feyenoord in the deal which saw Kevin Hofland sign for Benfica. There has been a further two players that have left Benfica with Gilles Binya joining Mexican side America and Pedro Mantorras joining Ukrainian side Dnipro. There has been only one other deal at Benfica which saw youngster Sherman Cardenas join Benfica from Atletico Bucaramanga, the Benfica manager hopes that Cardenas will develop into a good player but will have to be patient for the player to mature.
  2. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 2-1 FC Groningen Scorers Charles Aranguiz (Feyenoord), 2 mins Michael Mols (Feyenoord), 25 mins Erik Nevland (FC Groningen), 78 mins Feyenoord won 2-1 at home to FC Groningen tonight to go 1st in the league for the first time this season, Feyenoord got off to a great start in this game by taking the lead 2 minutes in with a strike from midfielder Charles Aranguiz and then there was a moment of madness in the 20th minute by FC Groningen's Rasmus Lindgren who made a shocking tackle and was rightly red carded for it, only five minutes after that Feyenoord scored there second goal as veteran striker Michael Mols scored a poachers goal, The last ten minutes was nervous for Feyenoord as Erik Nevland pulled one back for ten man FC Groningen but Feyenoord saw out the game to take all three points. Feyenoord reached top of the league tonight because of a shock result in Amsterdam, Ajax lost 3-0 at home to Gent as they put out there second string side so they can concentrate on qualifying for the next round of the SMFA Champions Cup and FC Twente who were second before tonight also lost against Anderlecht in what was a slight shock as is the great turnaround in fortunes of this club since GeorgeECFC took over.

  5. Re: Gold Championship 10 Match Report Thread Tried to get Roma but ended up with Benfica!
  6. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Gent 1-3 Feyenoord Scorers Nicky Hofs (Feyenoord), 16 mins Andwele Slory (Feyenoord), 47 mins Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Feyenoord), 53 mins Marcin Zewlakow (Gent), 78 mins 24 hours after reaching the SMFA Shield semi finals, Feyenoord were away from home to Gent and the manager named the same starting 11 as the night before although they weren't fully fit but it paid off as Feyenoord ran out 3-1 winners, Nicky Hofs scored on the 16th minute to give Feyenoord a 1-0 half time lead and after the break it got better as Andwele Slory scored immediately to put Feyenoord 2-0 up and shortly after that it got even better as Aiyegbeni Yakubu scored the third and final goal for Feyenoord on the 53rd minute, there was a consolation goal from Gent on the 78th minute from Polish striker Marcin Zewlakow.
  7. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 1-0 Racing Santander Scorers Kevin Hofland (Feyenoord), 39 mins After two abysmal league performances, Feyenoord upped their game for the visit of Racing Santander in the quarter finals of the SMFA Shield, it was always going to be a tough game for Feyenoord as Santander boasted stars such as Shevchenko, Pires, Makelele and Beckham in their first team but Feyenoord got through in the end with a 39th minute header from Kevin Hofland. Feyenoord will now battle it out against Tottenham for a place in the final of the SMFA Shield at the De Kuip.
  8. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 1-6 Heerenveen Scorers Carneiro Keirrison (Feyenoord), 84 mins Martins Afonso Alves (Heerenveen), 14 mins Gianni Zuiverloon (Heerenveen), 19 mins Thomas Prager (Heerenveen), 43 mins Michel Breuer (Heerenveen), 46 mins Thomas Prager (Heerenveen), 69 mins Martins Afonso Alves (Heerenveen), 78 mins Feyenoord put in their worst performance of the season and were comprehensively beaten by red hot Heerenveen, the result was 6-1 to Heerenveen and Feyenoord can have no complaints because they were rubbish, Martins Afonso Alves and Thomas Prager both bagged a brace while the other Heerenveen goals came from Gianni Zuiverloon and Michel Breuer and the only consolation for Feyenoord was a goal from young Brazilian Carneiro Keirrison. Feyenoord have now lost two games on the trot and it does not bode well for their SMFA Shield tie against Racing Santander, if they want to progress to the semi finals then they will have to get the finger out because the team has been absolutely mince in the last two games.
  9. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Nope, wrong again, Feyenoord is winning the SMFA Shield, you can have the other one if you want!
  10. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread FC Twente 3-1 Feyenoord Scorers Diego Biseswar (Feyenoord), 69 mins Orlando Engelaar (FC Twente), 13 mins Karim El Ahmadi (FC Twente), 28 mins Nicolas Domingo (FC Twente), 42 mins Feyenoord travelled to face FC Twente a day after progressing to the quarter finals of the SMFA Shield, and it proved too much as Feyenoord went down 3-1 to FC Twente in what was an abysmal first half performance from Feyenoord which saw FC Twente 3-0 in the first 42 mins, the second half was slightly better as they pulled one goal back but it simply wasn't good enough and FC Twente ran out comfortable winners. Feyenoord now have a well earned four day break from any competition and will be looking to bounce back from this defeat when they take on Heerenveen at home in midweek.
  11. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread SMFA Shield Round 3 Feyenoord 2-0 Pachuca Scorers Nuri Sahin (Feyenoord), 33 mins Andwele Slory (Feyenoord), 66 mins Feyenoord cruised into the quarter finals of the SMFA Shield with a comfortable victory over Mexican side Pachuca, Feyenoord had more attempts at goal and also dominated possession and Nuri Sahin put Feyenoord in front on the 33rd minute and the game was effectively killed by the second goal on the 66th minute by out of form striker Andwele Slory but he put in a brilliant performance and got his goal which was thoroughly deserved. Feyenoord will now play Racing Santander at the De Kuip on the 21st of December.
  12. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 2-1 Standard Liege Scorers Michael Mols (Feyenoord), 34 mins Mohammed Abubakari (Feyenoord), 77 mins Salim Tuaama (Standard Liege), 61 mins Feyenoord rested some of their first team regulars tonight ahead of their SMFA Shield match at home to Pachuca but it didn't affect the result as Feyenoord ran out 2-1 winners, Michael Mols opened the scoring in what was only his second league game of the season but after the break Salim Tuaama equalized for Standard Liege and the game looked to be heading for a draw until Mohammed Abubakari pounced on a short back pass to score the easiest goal of his career! The result had significant importance as Ajax dropped three points away to Anderlecht which now sees Feyenoord and Ajax locked on 32 points each but Ajax are three goals better off in the goal difference which sees them stay top but Feyenoord's next league game is a tough tie away to FC Twente who are third in the table and have a very disciplined defense so Feyenoord will have to work extremely hard to get a result there especially as the day before they play FC Twente they have a massive game in the SMFA Shield.
  13. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Ajax 1-1 Feyenoord Scorers Jonathan De Guzman (Feyenoord), 32 mins Fernando Belluschi (Ajax), 39 mins In what was billed as the game of the season in the Holland & Belgium league beforehand turned out to be an entertaining affair between the top two sides at the moment in the Holland & Belgium league, the game ended in a 1-1 draw but Feyenoord took the lead on the 32nd minute when Jonathan De Guzman hammered the ball into net but the lead didn't last long when seven minutes later, Fernando Belluschi equalized for Ajax in what was the last goal of the game but Feyenoord will be happy with the point as Ajax had twice as many shots as Feyenoord and they also had 56% of possession. What is worrying for the Feyenoord manager is the goal drought of Feyenoord's top scorer Andwele Slory, after what was an amazing start to the season for him has now fizzled out and is struggling for form.
  14. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread SMFA Shield Round 2 Rosenborg 0-2 Feyenoord Scorers Carneiro Keirrison (Feyenoord), 70 mins Domagoj Vida (Feyenoord), 89 mins Feyenoord cemented their place in the SMFA Shield last 16 with a 2-0 win against Norwegian side Rosenborg in Norway, Feyenoord left it late as their first goal came on the 70th minute when young Brazilian Carneiro Keirrison hammered the ball into the net and the second came in the 89th minute when a scramble in the box resulted in Domagoj Vida slotting the ball into the net which sealed Feyenoord's place in the last 16. Feyenoord will now take on Mexican side Pachuca at home in the next round, Pachuca have knocked out Fiorentina and Benfica to reach this stage so they will be no push overs as Feyenoord look to reach the quarter finals.
  15. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Anderlecht 0-2 Feyenoord Scorers Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Feyenoord), 21 mins Jonathan De Guzman (Feyenoord), 35 mins Feyenoord came through a tough away match against Anderlecht to stay three points behind Ajax who are in first place, Feyenoord won the match 2-0 with goals from Aiyegbeni Yakubu and Jonathan De Guzman. Feyenoord can now look forward to their SMFA Shield match against Rosenborg in Norway now and will be looking to book their place in the last 16 of this competition.
  16. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 1-2 FC Groningen Scorers Charles Aranguiz (Feyenoord), 32 mins Erik Nevland (FC Groningen), 15 mins Marcus Berg (FC Groningen), 24 mins Oot the cup, wit can I say!
  17. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 2-0 Heracles Almelo Scorers Luiz Andre Bahia (Feyenoord), 26 mins Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Feyenoord), 52 mins
  18. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread OB 1-4 Feyenoord Scorers Danny Buijs (Feyenoord), 9 mins Carneiro Keirrison (Feyenoord), 33 mins Luigi Bruins (Feyenoord), 41 mins Mohammed Abubakari (Feyenoord), 81 mins Johan Absalonsen (OB), 51 mins Feyenoord put out their reserve team for tonight's SMFA Shield 1st round match against OB but still managed to win 4-1 which sounds a very convincing result but the game was far from convinving, Feyenoord had 4 shots on target and scored all 4 shots so it was a display of clinical finishing from Feyenoord. Feyenoord will now be away from home to Norwegian outfit Rosenborg in the next round but that is far from the thoughts of the Feyenoord manager who now has to prepare his team for Feyenoord's league game tommorow against Heracles Almelo, the Feyenoord manager was furious in his after match interview about this situation that sees his team play two games in two days and is now struggling to put out a fit team for the league game tommorow.
  19. This setup will be ready at 05:30 (GMT). The setup is made up of 4 divisions of 10 teams, three will be relegated and three promoted to make sure the league's are very different each time a new season comes around. I have basically put the best teams in the bottom division to make it a bit of a challenge, so the first season there will only be 3 major clubs getting promoted to the next division, it also gives the smaller clubs who are in the top division a chance to catch up with the major clubs in terms of their squads: Division 1 Sporting Marseille Hamburg Newcastle Feyenoord Spartak Moscow Zaragoza Borussia Dortmund Zenit St. Petersburg Lazio Divison 2 Benfica Villarreal Schalke Celtic CSKA Moscow Fiorentina Shakhtar Donetsk Man City Rangers Fenerbahce Division 3 Lyon Sevilla Juventus Roma Porto Werder Bremen Ajax Atletico Madrid Tottenham PSV Division 4 Barcelona - my club Real Madrid Arsenal Man Utd Inter Milan AC Milan Liverpool Chelsea Bayern Munich Valencia It is a public setup and it's first come first served, I am not giving anybody clubs who ask.
  20. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Racing Genk 0-2 Feyenoord Scorers Jonathan De Guzman (Feyenoord), 5 mins Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Feyenoord), 40 mins Feyenoord kept the pressure up on Ajax with an away win against Racing Genk, Feyenoord really should have won by more than two goals with having eighteen shots to Racing Genk's five and with sixty two percent of possesion but Feyenoord will be happy to keep their winning run going.
  21. Don't know if this has been discussed but can't you do something about unmanaged clubs playing outfield players as a goalkeeper, can't you put them in there automatic positions if a club is unmanaged. There were two games that I noticed in GC9 that were won by 9 goals and this was because of the unmanaged clubs playing outfield players in the goalkeeping position.
  22. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 2-1 PSV Scorers Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Feyenoord), 31 mins Andwele Slory (Feyenoord), 55 mins Jefferson Farfan (PSV), 3 mins The game of the week in the Holland & Belgium league saw Feyenoord take on PSV at the De Kuip and the honours went to Feyenoord as they defeated their title challengers 2-1. Feyenoord got off to the worst possible start when Jefferson Farfan scored for PSV in the third minute but Feyenoord showed their resilience by coming back when Aiyegbeni Yakubu equalised on the 31st minute and then on the 55th minute, Feyenoord took the lead with Andwele Slory scoring and that was enough to win the game.
  23. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread FC Brussels 1-4 Feyenoord Scorers Carneiro Keirrison (Feyenoord), 6 mins Charles Aranguiz (Feyenoord), 21 mins Danny Buijs (Feyenoord), 39 mins Phillipe Leonard (Feyenoord), 57 mins Julien Gorius (FC Brussels), 8 mins Feyenoord made light work of FC Brussels tonight with an emphatic 4-1 win away from home, Feyenoord would have been forgiven for being tired after their exploit's in the Holland & Belgium shield on Monday where they were taken to extra time and penalties by Roda JC but eventually got through in the penalty shoot out against the league leaders. The game started very quickly with new Feyenoord signing Carneiro Keirrison scoring in the sixth minute but they were quickly pegged back when Julien Gorius equalised two minutes later, but it was another new Feyenoord signing that put them 2-1 ahead when Charles Aranguiz calmly slid the ball into the net, Danny Buijs and Phillipe Leonard added to the scoreline and it ended a very comfortable night for Feyenoord.
  24. Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread Feyenoord 2-1 FC UtrechtScorers Jonathan De Guzman (Feyenoord), 10 mins Nicky Hofs (Feyenoord), 55 mins Robin Nelisse (FC Utrecht), 27 mins Feyenoord got back to winning ways this evening with a 2-1 win over FC Utrecht, this win puts Feyenoord up to fifth in the table and moves FC Utrecht down to eighth. The biggest surprise of the match was that Feyenoord hitman Andwele Slory wasn't amongst the goals for Feyenoord as Jonathan De Guzman and Nicky Hofs got the goals for Feyenoord!
