Feyenoord stopped a run of two straight defeats tonight with a hard fought draw away from home to GBA, GBA were in good form going into this game while their opponents Feyenoord were looking to bounce back from their midweek cup defeat.

The game was a very even and tight affair with a draw a fair result in the end with Andrei Arshavin and once again Andwele Slory getting on the scoresheet which sees his prolific run of goalscoring continuing.

Holland & Belgium Cup Round 1

Vincenzo Montella (Racing Genk), 64 mins

Feyenoord crashed out of the Holland & Belgium cup this evening, going down 2-1 to managerless Racing Genk which sees Feyenoord lose their second succesive home defeat, Feyenoord fielded a weakened team this evening although it should have been a strong enough team to see off Racing Genk.

This was 16 year old Giorginio Wijnaldum's debut for Feyenoord and he will be personally happy that he had a solid game and also managed to get on the score sheet, what looks to be a star in the making will have to be patient for chances in the first team to come along but his undoubted talent should see him progress sooner rather than later.

Feyenoord's good run of results came to an end tonight with a 3-2 defeat to table toppers Roda JC, although Feyenoord had much more shots on goal than their opponent it was down to the clinical finishing of Roda JC that won the match and Feyenoord will not be happy at losing at home which now makes it two losses and three wins for the Dutch club in this season's campaign.

On a positive note, Andwele Slory continued his impressive scoring run that has seen him on top of the scoring chart in the Holland & Belgium league.

Feyenoord were looking for their second straight win and they got it in a hugely entertaining match, the two sides amassed 43 shots on goal between them and it was amazing how there was only one goal scored but the solitary goal came on the 77th minute with Andwele Slory scoring again this week after scoring four in one match against Vitesse Arnhem and it proved to be enough against a good AZ Alkmaar side.

    Feyenoord 6-1 Vitesse Arnhem

Feyenoord were looking to get their season started after losing their opening match and they certainly did that in great fashion by putting six goals past there opponent's, Vitesse simply couldn't cope with Feyenoord's flair and technical ability and in particular the performance of Feyenoord's Andwele Slory who scored four of the six goals and his performance will raise the awareness of clubs who are looking for a striker.

  6. Just wondering why the SPL format is a 20 team top division, is it too difficult to implement the correct format for the SPL with a 12 team top division and the split after 33 games and also with other leagues not just the SPL?

It would make the game a lot more realistic but obviously I don't understand how SM works, and would I be right in thinking it would be too difficult to implement?:)

  7. I was just wondering if anybody agrees with me that Kaka is a better player than Xavi, for me it is clear that Kaka is better than Xavi but in the game their ratings are 97 each, obviously is down to a matter of opinion but for me Kaka should probably stay at 97 but Xavi maybe should be rated at 94/95
