  1. Re: EC Anno Domini - the invaded‏ Great work Dan, some great signings there. Hopefully get to that stage with my squad but currently just finishing phase 1 of the the big overhaul. Having taken over with only 4/5 players rated 80 or above my aim was to get the first 11 over 80 rating. Done that now and still aim to sell 2/3 players so I complete this round of transfer activities. Exciting times ahead and hopefully still get a few results and close in the gap to climb the table.
  2. Re: EC Anno Domini - the invaded‏ 3rd win on the bounce for Telford which means 3 wins 1 defeat since taking over. Happy with the start as trying to build a team to be a bit more competitive and wasn't expecting anything till next season but happy with the start. A few new players arrive in the shape of experienced versatile defender Chris Baird, golden oldie winger Simao young midfielder Marcel Buchel and young keeper Matej Delac who comes in as the new no.1. Couple more players getting sold in the next day so will look to strengthen the squad a bit before the season is out.
  3. Re: EC Anno Domini - the invaded‏ Get my first win as Telford manager in my 2nd game in charge Telford 4-2 Gateshead Gateshead took the early lead through a berahino penalty but Telford hit back through Galloway, McManaman and a double on his debut from Ceballos, Gatesheads Alli scoring late to make it 4-2. Good win but Carroll picking up his 2nd booking of the game in 88mins means he now serves a ban. Signed a few players this week and with transfer bans coming off hopefully do some more wheeling and dealing in the next couple weeks.
  4. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread After starting the season with my newly promoted Notts County I was offered the job at Millwall, after a lot of thinking I thought it was just too good an offer to turn down. After 197 games in charge which included winning the 3rd division an English shield and a unbelievable European trophy in the shape of the Smfa shield I took the reigns at Millwall and am proud to say got promoted to the top league, even if it was on goal difference.....the pressure for those final games was incredible but the team stuck together and can enjoy some time off before pre season commences.
  5. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Well what was a tough start to life in division 3 for Notts County turned into a pretty satisfying season. Having occupied the bottom 3 at the half way point of the season and with a 7-0 defeat to Stoke relegation was certainly looking a strong possibility, but that result seemed to spur the team and manager on to be defeated only 4 more times and finishing 10th just 4 points off a playoff spot and throw in the English Championship Shield after beating Middlesbrough on penalties in the final for my first trophy and the fans are delighted. Thanks to everyone for the loans this season and best of luck to everyone in the playoffs
  6. Re: Ec - 5910 Hi guys Just taken over the Bolton hot seat
  7. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread A good hard fought 2-0 victory for Southampton against Burton Albion. Darren Bent with both goals coming in the last 15 minutes. Puts me up to joint top of division 4. A couple of new faces coming to Southampton with Scottish international James Morrison coming from Rangers along with Kolo Toure having agreeing a fee with Everton. Happy with the squad additions to help the push for the title.
  8. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Hi guys. Still keen to join this set up if there's a job going
  9. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Been a tough start to life in division 3 for my Notts County but after last nights 3-1 win away at Morecambe we come out of the bottom 3 for the 1st time this season. Had to re-shape the squad to try and get more depth plus get myself out of debt.
  10. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! After being offered the Newcastle job a month ago it was a tough decision to make but decided to follow my heart and stay with Notts County. Sitting mid table after our promotion to division 2 it was time to strengthen the squad a bit. In came Kone 88 in a straight swap for 87 Holt, Downing 89 for Bentley 85 plus 2million, Denisov 90 for Dossena 88 plus 200k Albiol 89 5.7 million plus Flint 78 Bodmer 89 5.9 million Kehl 90 McArther 86 plus 750k Pereira 90 for Denilson 88 + Perch 85 Makes the 1st team a bit stronger in all positions although still a bit light in depth.
  11. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Just took over as manager of Barnsley. Got a few good players but a bit light in depth. Anyone got any players I could loan 80+ would be great especially defence.
  12. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Well after taking over Notts County last season when they were in a relegation dog fight I managed to keep them in division 4 and finished 18th so proud to have achieved automatic promotion on the last day of the season pipping Bradford to 3rd spot this season. Got a good little squad together but will have to do some wheeling and dealing as just went into debt. Looking forward to the challenge in division 3 and with a few loans and some fresh faces fingers crossed for a good season.
  13. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Hi guys. Been keeping an eye on this league for ages in the hope of snapping up a team but have had no luck. Would love to be added to a waiting list if there is one or could someone let me know when a job is available. Many thanks in advance

  15. Re: .:GC 236:. - Transfer News,Discussions and M/Rs I'm still here with Aberdeen. Won the league last season and got a nice little squad together.
  16. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! Notts County secured promotion and the 3rd division championship with a hard fought 1-0 win against play off placed MK Dons. Macheda grabbing the only goal and MOM, had to rest a few of the big names as they wasn't match fit but the replacements played outstanding to clinch the title. Glad to get the title rapped up with a game to go as last game is against Leyton orient who are in the play off places as well. Now to plan for next seasons life in division 2
  17. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! A great result for Notts County last night against Hartlepool Notts county 4 - 1 Harlepool Bentley 3 James 4 Macheda 16,18 Leandro 80 MOM captain Grosso Transfer news, just confirming the signing of a big name for County that will be a big boost for the promotion run in.
  18. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! Shrewsbury 0-1 Notts Co A Morata goal on 57mins separating the two teams, Della Rocca sent off in the 86th min for his 2nd yellow. Another vital 3points that keep us in the play off spots. Up next a tough game against PNE.
  19. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Southampton 2-1 Crewe Riquelme returns to help the side to victory with a goal after 4mins Gary Hooper got the second after 15mins, Jones hit one back for Crewe on the 38th but Southampton held on for the important win. MOM Varane showing class throughout
  20. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Watford 1-2 Notts Co after going a goal down to a Reiss goal in 13 minutes County equalised just before half time through Alessandrini with Iaquinta getting his 6th goal in 5 games wrapping up the 3points. A hard fought win with County resting a couple key players for the game notably the influential Deco and Martinez but team played well. Up next Aldershot at home.
  21. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread A hard fought win against Dagenham & Redbridge. 2-0 was the final result with Iaquinta on the score sheet again Possession was 50/50 but I only had 7 shots with the 2 on target going in with D&R having 16 shots.
  22. Re: English Championship 27046 Discussion Thread The season opener saw a near capacity crowd at Bloomfield Road witness a 8 goal thriller which ended Blackpool 5-3 Hull. Blackpool took the lead in the 1st minute through Dragovic with Hull equalising in the 11th minute through Pedro Leon, Kerzhakov put Hull in front and made it 3-1 before half time for only the linesman to rule offside. Ht 2-1 into the 2nd half and Blackpool hit back through Markovic in the 51st but Hull took the lead again a minute later through Amat, in the space of 2 crazy minutes Hull were 4-3 down first Markovic again on target on the 61st then on the 62nd man of the match Aurier put Blackpool in front then on the 86th minute Ayew put the match out of reach for the away team. Well played mate.
