Over 200 games in charge now in Division 1 fighting for No1. Getting in the top four got us into Champions league but as im not a gold manager we got last in group stages with 0 points
Having got into the F.A Cup Final and lost last season we look forward to pushing forward and getting past the current 3rd round of games that we face both in the Cup and Shield in the next week. Currently in 2nd place in Division 1 with 22 points from 10 games, but a lot more of the season to come. Hopefully even more of my youth will develop. I won pretty much all the youth who are all out on loan. All together, including the loaned out youth the squad value is over £700million!

    Loaned out players (all U22):
    3x 90
    6x 89
    10x 88
    6x 87
    6x 86

    BURNLEY NEW SEASON!
    First Match
A great performance and an important win to start our season the best way possible!
    New signings
Three amazing signings to our squad! Depth and quality wise. Stefan Bell and Carriço will be important additions to our defence and they should both rise pretty soon! Schwegler is a replacement for Sergi Roberto, who was sold to Huddersfield for 12M.
    Our goal
    Promotion!!
    We're ready for it.

I think you're the one who has problems with reading. I didn't say you were generalising at all. I just found your 'litmus test' on detecting plastic fans to be hypocritical, as by definition, you're a plastic fan.
N.B. I don't have a problem with those from other countries supporting a club which isn't located in their own nation. You're free to support whatever team you want, whether it'd be Man Utd or AFC Telford.
The problem I have is when those fans who are plastic by definition, have a go at other fans for being plastic (as demonstrated by AniAniAni and Mullan). To quote the Dalai Lama, "It is far more useful to be aware of a single shortcoming in ourselves than it is to be aware of a thousand in someone else."

Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread
With only a handful of games remaining, the third season of EC28697 is drawing to a close. And the great news is that this remains one of the most popular game worlds in the forum.
After last season generated enough interest to deserve an encore, the Manager Of The Season Awards will return. Voting will open after the final league matches of the season have been played - giving people the option of having their votes influenced by the play-offs or not.
I'm posting this in advance so that people can consider managers from across the divisions for their respective awards.
In the meantime, a look at where last season's winners are now...
Dan Malone (Division 5 and Game World manager of the Season)
No longer a part of the Game World, unfortunately, Dan will not be able to defend his title. His old club Cambridge are currently 2nd in Division 4 though and look set for successive promotions. The new manager could be a strong candidate.
Ben Magee (Division 1 manager of the season)
Spurs have slipped into mid-table obscurity this season. However, Ben's side did reach the final of the English Shield.
Joseba Zilarte (Division 2 manager of the season)
After successive promotions to the Premier League, Bristol City are currently 10th and without doubt will be staying up - they could even make the Europa League.
Secasiu Calin-Mihai (Divison 3 manager of the season)
Just lingering outside of the play-offs, Secasiu's success has continued - a top 6 finish would make him a major candidate for another award.
Borges (Division 4 manager of the season)
Currently third in Division 3; the team is in the mix for a play-off place.

Would Uganda not be better off without its Protestant led oppression of homosexuals?
The Spanish inquisition and the crusades were represented as a religious wars and in a sense they were but their causes were not religious. In the same way I think the problems of the Middle East have other causes but in a place where everything is articulated through Islam so is the violence.
Think about it, a King who wanted to go to war in the1700s would always sell it, amongst other things, as a good Catholic war or a good protestant war, not matter what the main reasons were. The Romans even took the outcome of a battle as a victory of the winner's chosen god over the losers.
I think the essential problem in the Middle east and in much of Africa is the shape of the countries. When the imperial countries pulled out they left new nations that had been drawn out on a map. When they were in charge they destroyed preexisting power/territorial arrangements for the benefit of centralisation and 'civilisation' these boundaries, sort of like Europe's, would have come about through centuries of violence and would have been in a kind of equilibrium (lets not forget even in 1990 Europe's boundaries were being fought over. But the countries we left were a jumble of different tribes, ethnicities and cultures (often rivals or even sworn enemies).
In a long time liberal society this can be made to work (though I'm sure some people on here would disagree with that), but in places like Uganda or Iraq it was never going to, not for a long time at least. Its worth noting that more successful countries in these areas, such as Botswana, tend to contain fewer (in this case only 1) tribe or culture.
That's my rather tenuous theory, but you only need to look at oil, foreign intervention, poverty, high rates of autocracy, occupation and the stubbornness old ways of doing things exert in the face of globalisation to find non religious causes for much of this conflict .
In a region where almost everyone is Muslim, of course soldiers will be "fighting for Allah" or the enemy will be "non believers" and those selling their wars will frame them in religious terms.

All religions except yours then Dave?
There are plenty of peaceful religions but several of them don't mix. As Mia was saying, many Islamic views contradict hugely with many Christian ones. Yet, Muslims continue to migrate to traditionally Christian countries and demand that cultures change to suit them. The access to world news gives more insight than ever into countries of other religions and the problems they face. They've probably had these problems for centuries and the problems will only be considered as problems by overseas onlookers, unfortunately.

Another excellent win by the Dons, coming back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 with goals to Colback and Cardozo. The Dons charge to play-off promotion spots continues but we will be without defensive stalwart Joesph Yobo who picked up a minor injury and will be out for a week.
Our great run in the league continues with our 12th unbeaten match and Glory Days is breaking new ground at Doncaster. It's certainly a turn around from two losses that I had at the start of my tenor here.
