    MUNIAIN SIGNS FOR CHELSEA

    hi-res-117126184_display_image.jpg?1348585935

Chelsea complete the signing of Spain starlet Iker Muniain from Burnley in a deal worth in excess of £26 million with Rossi and Hubocan going the other way.

Muniain Joins fellow Spaniards Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta and Co as Manager Tom King looks to bring in a few fresh faces with a challenging season ahead in the 2nd tier of English football.

"He's a great lad. He's exactly the sort of character we would like around. His youth and passion will really fit in well with the rest of the squad, and joining the other Spanish lads he can really kick on and help us achieve something great." King told BBC Radio London.

After considerable negotiation it took the offer of fringe players Guiseppi Rossi and Tomas Hubocan plus a reported £3mil to prise Muniain from Burnley. "Its a shame we had to let those two boys go but they have been excellent for us over some difficult season's filling in where needed. But they need first team football and Burnley is a great team to play for and I wish them all the best."

When asked if there were any more signings in the mix King replied "We have our targets and we have a strong budget its probably only a matter of time before we get some more faces in".

    MAN CITY 4-1 CHELSEA

Manchester City hammered Chelsea 4-1 tonight in the Champions League final.

Van Persie' date=' Toure, Aguero and Valencia all scored for us and Fabregas got Chelseas only goal of the game.

Ben-SCFC couldnt manage his side for this game so Chelsea were the favorites, but turns out City didnt even need their proper manager for this game.

KOMPANY AND OTHERS AFTER THE GAME!

After the game though Ben-SCFC was caught walking out the stadium and he had this to say:

Congratz mate you were the better team on the night. I dont think I could have done much more the team was looking alright coming into the game, just one of those days.

  3. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

My assistant will be in charge for the match so unfortunately I wont be setting the tactics' date=' you should win, plus you have a higher rated team, then again that dosent really mean anything when you look at our positions in the league table.

On Gold -2 atm, It should run out soon.

When you went 0-2 up last night in the first 10 minutes I was worried. :P

    Thanks.[/quote']

Shame you wont be there to see the fireworks :D

    Chelsea 1 (1) - (0) 0 Sunderland

Higuain scored the only goal of the game to give Chelsea the chance to finish their season on a high.

FÀBREGAS shows some clever footwork to keep hold of the ball.

He plays a slide rule pass to HIGUAÍN.

HIGUAÍN tries to slot one under the keeper.

GOAL!! - The keeper has no chance as the ball rolls past him into the net.

Fabregas the architect who is now at the heart of the Chelsea engine room which has been reshaped in recent weeks. Overall Sunderland struggled to break Chelsea down, and the blues deserved to win the match 1-0 on the night and on aggregate.

This result lines up a tasty match for the neutrals with Manchester City making it through to the final at the Stade Olympico as well. The managers of both teams have been at loggerheads for the majority of the season and they would love to get one over on each other and claim the champions league in the final game of the season.

  5. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Dont think so' date=' all were part of a side what got relegated and Villa and Rossi couldnt score 20 goals between them this season (league). :P[/quote']

David Villa has 20 goals and 21 assists this season at a struggling side no mean feat. Rossi has scored many whilst playing a bit part role in the side as well. 2 excellent players.

  6. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Chelsea are looking to move a couple of players on:

David VÍLLA - ST 31 94 (Ready made 20-goal-a-season striker)

Patrice EVRA - LB 32 93 (A steady Left back for any club)

    Giuseppe ROSSI - ST 26 91 (Versatile Striker/ Midfielder)

Petr ČECH - GK 31 92 (Petr Cech. OP. Nuff said)

I dont have any issues with the players they have been brilliant but need to freshen up a bit.

    Respectable P/E bids appreciated. :D

    CHELSEA RELEGATED

I bet old Roman will be somewhat disappointed.

He'd be on his 9th manager of the season after a performance like that in real life...

Unrest in the terraces' date=' lost the dressing room, gong hunting in Europe for his CV....

    King must go

    (just kidding:))[/quote']

Haha everyone gets one chance. Roman should be happy i have already got him the Champions league twice.

Going to battle back next season. Might need to shake up the squad though

    CHELSEA RELEGATED

Distraught Chelsea fans after the defeat at Everton

Chelsea are relegated from Division 1 after losing 2-0 away at Everton.

Despite a recovery after Manager Tom King’s timely return it wasn’t enough to save Chelsea from being relegated after stuttering in the final part of the campaign after a partial revival.

At the start of the season Chelsea’s relegation would barely have been conceived but now it has become a cruel reality questions are going to have to be answered and the first person to go to is current Manager Tom King.

When asked where the Blue’s went wrong this season a subdued King replied:

“We just haven't been good enough this season. The team. The staff. The club as a whole have probably struggled to cope with the continued demand of this ever advancing league.
“Injuries have played their part we have had most of out key players out for extensive periods this season and that doesn’t help but we have a decent sized squad so that cant be used as the sole reason.”

When asked about where his absence had an effect on the team this season King responded:

“Yes of course it did, Martin [Keown] (Assistant Manager) did his best whilst I was away but when you look at it, it was that period there was where we lost most of our games this season and it probably cost us.”

King was philosophical about his future at Chelsea:

“We have achieved so much here. I feel some people have said some things in the press certainly from a Sky Blue Team in the North West that only look at what has happened this season not what has been accomplished in previous seasons. I have two seasons left on my contract and if the club wills it I will see those out and I will do my upmost to get this club back to where we have been and where we belong, but we will just have to wait and see.”

Tonight Chelsea Drew 0-0 away at Sunderland to setup a winner takes all game at Stamford Bridge to get to the Champions League Final against either Manchester City or Arsenal. After today’s results a European Final against Man City could very well be on the cards and in light of recent comments in the press between King and City Manager Mr Active it could be a fiery fixture.

A future in doubt. A sombre looking King walks off the Pitch at Goodison.

  9. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Would rather him just say hes changed the mind about the deal though if it was cause he then decided he didnt want to do it' date=' to say its cause he had too many midfielders then offer cash for one of my transfer listed players a couple of days later who plays in that position is stupid.[/center']

Keep your hair on. Its only part of the game negotiations happen all the time. How do you know that managers dont have other plans and ideas than the ones they tell you :P

£20mil for a 91 rated international midfielder at the top of the game with a few years left in him whats not to like.

    "Game on" Says King

    Preston 1 - 3 Chelsea

    Anderson 1'

    Van der Vaart 19'

    C. Ronaldo 50'

    Ivanovic 74'

Ronaldo prepares to take the Kick to put Chelsea 2-1 up

Two second half goals from Ronaldo and Ivanovic finally bring Chelsea's winless run to an end with a 3-1 away victory at Preston as King attempts the impossible.

Chelsea welcomed back Manager Tom King after a lengthy time away with a comprehensive win against Swansea in the cup on Monday and he got his side straight back to winning ways in the league as well.

King put out a makeshift side putting faith in youngsters such as Nolito and Anderson but it quickly paid dividends with a well taken goal after just 1 minute from Anderson.

Preston pulled a goal back through Van der Vaart before Ronaldo struck a sublime 30 yard freekick to give Chelsea the lead. Ivanovic settled the contest on 74 minutes with an excellent long range shot.

Chelsea managed to hold on despite late Preston pressure to end a club record 11 match win less run much to the delight of the travelling Chelsea faithful.

Speaking about his return Blues manager Tom King said "Yes its great to be back but its all about the results from here on in. To stay up this season will be a miracle but today's result is just what we needed the boys were magnificent, there's still a long way to go but game on".

With 16 games to go Chelsea are 12 points from safety there is still a mountain to climb but this is a result in the right direction.

Houdini??? returning Chelsea manager King celebrates away win

  11. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

Welcome back Kingsy. Hope to see you around a bit more' date=' as like you say, you are after all in charge of many of the great 7777 talent :P

Part of me wishes you go down, to make life easier for me, but I shall also wish you good luck to survive the drop :D[/quote']

Haha cheers for the support i guess

I have my doubts though. Not many fairytales in SM. :(

  12. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

And from the Shadows I return.

First of all my sincerest apologies to everyone here on the forum and in 7777 I have been inexplicably absent from lets be honest one of the best teams in the division and for this I am sorry. The reasons are many some justified, some not but nevertheless what does it matter.

It looks like my absence has not got without retribution. The team has stagnated and is literally in pieces.

    So here is my challenge:

    The Great Escape:

11 points from 21 games. Shocking.

14 points from safety 17 games to play. Houdini???

    -------------------------

My biggest mission to date on SM and it could well be my last hurrah. I am going to put in as much effort as I can to get this side out of the abyss. Updates in due course.

  13. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread

This feeder club scheme seems like a really interesting idea. I may consider investing in my own one at some point.

These loan offers are rather annoying I'm always at university when they happen!

If you are looking for loans I just put Sturridge and Hubocan on the list. This is a result of being knocked out of the cup. :)
