  3. Re: English Championship 7777 - Match Reports,Transfer news etc. King Handed Star Lifeline Struggling Blues Manager Tom King has been given a boost to his struggling side in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo recovering from a long term injury ahead of the cup clash tonight against Aldershot at Stamford Bridge. Ronaldo has been out of action for nearly 7 weeks with a serious back injury sustained against Blackburn on 19th Sept. Ronaldo has only made 6 appearances this season and Chelsea have been struggling without him with no win in 6 this news of Ronaldo returning to training is very welcomed by under pressure boss Tom King. We caught up with the manager and got his take on the recent Ronaldo developments. “Yeah its great to have Cristiano back we are in need of something fresh to really get the team going, his character and ability is exactly what can really get the side performing again.” “Its probably too early to say just yet its just great news to get him back into training some time tomorrow. I think Aldershot is probably too soon as he still needs to get back to match fitness but he may make the bench for the cup. We will have to see how training goes but he could be available for West Brom next week.” “Cris is a major way of how we play, he has been out for so long that getting him back is like signing a new player, this could be the break we get to improve our league position.” This recent good news for Chelsea has come just in time for tough times at the club which is precariously placed just 2 points the relegation zone, and with fans and chairman becoming increasingly frustrated could Ronaldo be the man to save King?
  4. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread I doubt that my form has been horrific as of late and I dont see it picking up any time soon. If i scrape by i will be happy.
  5. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Here is the press release reviewing Chelsea Manager Tom King current situation at CRISIS CHELSEA
  6. Re: English Championship 7777 - Match Reports,Transfer news etc. CRISIS AND CONCERN FOR KING AT CHELSEA Chelsea bench disappointed at 3-2 wolves defeat Chelsea manager Tom King claims club owner Roman Abramovich has promised not to sack him - even if he fails to win a trophy this season but he could if they fail to stay in the 1st Division. The Blues face Colchester United on Saturday with no win in the last 5 games and in light of Wednesdays defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers it has raised a number of issues that could accumulate in the dismissal of Manager Tom King possibly ending his 3 season tenure at the club. There are 4 major areas that could lead to the demise of the award winning manager, the clubs poor form, concerns amongst some of the stars of the club, the inabilities of manager Tom King and the tension between Manager and Chairman. The form of the club has been woeful for the past few seasons missing out on the title for the past 3. With the first season when King took charge half way through aside he has only taken them to two 3rd position finishes when he was expected by fans and chairman to win it and this season looks no better. Despite all the stars at the club they have been unable to gel together to win the league title. This could be put down to unrest at the club with the likes of Guiseppi Rossi looking for more first team football and key striker David Villa in poor recent form possibly due to his transfer listing, furthermore the long term injury of Cristiano Ronaldo has not helped the situation. Although they have won many cup competitions the main aim of the league title has eluded them and it is believed Abramovich is becoming frustrated. Being only 2 points above the relegation zone with nearly half of the season played it has been reported that Manager Tom King has been given an ultimatum by Chairman Roman Abramovich that if he fails to keep the team in the division then he will be removed from his position as manager of Chelsea FC. Some betting agents are already taking bets on who will take charge of Chelsea if King should be sacked with the odds suggesting Ryan Grosvenor being the favourite with Wrexhams Barnaby Dowling close behind. But the only thing that can be said for certain is that come the end of the season with or without King, Chelsea will be in need of a major overhaul.
  7. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Wolverhampton Wanderers 3 - 2 Chelsea Another defeat for Chelsea only 2 points clear of the drop zone. There will soon be an exclusive report outlining the current turbulence at Stamford Bridge, with information on the clubs recent poor form, concerned stars and more importantly the future of manager Tom King. More to come.
  8. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Eh i guess that is the right course of action. I will let it slide.
  9. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Hey guys does anyone know if the manager of Norwich is on the forums?? He sent me a rather aggressive PM then blocked me from replying which was rather off. Just wanted to question his motives really. Pillock.
  10. Re: Lavezzi vs Hamsik and Rolando excellent cheers guys much appreciated. I have put the bids in for Hamsik and Rolando. Just have to sit, wait and hope no one takes over the unmanaged clubs haha
  11. Hey guys I will give you a quick brief of my situation. I am in charge of a Division 4 side in a WC. I am sitting pretty in 1st place 8 points clear of 2nd with only 9 games left of the season. Why make changes to such a successful team? well this WC is rather competitive and I want to stay one step ahead of the game and looking to div 3 i will need a better side to get out of it. My current squad is (3-5-2): Gk. Viviano Def: Papadopalous - Toulalan - Monreal (being sold for 9mil) Mid: Belhanda - Naingollan - Sissoko - Martin (Being sold for 11.5mil) - Cazorla Fwd: Podolski - Huntelaar Sooooo.... in my WC two clubs have become unmanaged and with potentially 30mil at my disposal should i go for: Option 1: Lavezzi - 20mil with and extra 10mil to prevent anyone else from trying to get him or Option 2: Hamsik - 15mil and Rolando - 11.5mil with about 4mil to spare to increase the hamsik deal. or Option 3: Do nothing and not sell monreal and Martin and keep the current 10mil for a rainy day. Note: I reckon I can get rolando on the cheap and the competition for hamsik may be reduced by the competition for lavezzi --------------------------------- I am inclined to go for option 2 but this is a very crucial stage in the season and i thought i should get some other opinions on this. So any suggestions on the 3 options guys? cheers
  12. Re: Site speed so poor I managed to get on for a bit but its rather inconsistent. 9) Dodgy game engine???
  13. Re: Site speed so poor Same here mate. Guess we are just gonna have to sit it out haha. MOTD will be on soon............
  14. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread No hard feelings mate. You beat me to the title last season so I take the charity shield . Glad to have defended my trophy my eyes are firmly on the league title though its has eluded me and my Chelsea side and I want it haha. I am looking forward to the new season.
  15. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread maaaaaaybe
  16. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread I am very much interested but I would like to point out the ruling on loaned players. As the player I am considering to go up front is owned by a div 1 team yet is playing in div 4 does this player count as div 4 or div 1?
  17. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Villa 1 - 2 Chelsea A win away at a tough place to go helps Chelsea keep the pressure on Wolves. It also see's the blue's move into 2nd in the league after Man U drop point in a 3-3 draw away at Everton. Gap between 1st and 2nd? 5 points
  18. Re: English Championship 8888 Discussion Thread Sunderland 0-5 Swansea The Swan smash 5 past the high flying Sunderland. A great and unexpected result really expected a loss because of Sunderlands recent form but I will take it . Not sure where we are in the table as I am pretty sure its not been updated yet but the swans are definitely in a European spot which is much better than I was predicting. Also I have noticed there has been an exodus of managers in recent weeks is there a reason or just norm?
  19. Re: Fifa 12 - PS3 Pro Club. bahhh I am better than you at FIFA tom face it. You might try and play samba football but I win the games I think you would have to play on the wing to try and reduce the impact of your FIFA stupidity haha
  20. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread David Villa 95 rated fwd is available for transfer on P/E. I am looking for a decent offer though
  21. Re: Fifa 12 - PS3 Pro Club. That is very much up for debate. Infact I can categorically say this is a lie Anyway I have no idea what this pro club is but I am in. Is it the one where you are the one player with a load of other people? If so I am awesome so I can play everywhere
  22. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Chelsea 2 - 0 Preston Yet another win in the founders cup. I wish I could put this team out every week. Alas higuain and chiellini (still) are out for the next 6-8 games.
  23. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Chelsea 1 - 0 Wolves I beat the league leaders in a real six pointer at the bridge then I look at the league table to see I am rewarded by moving down into 3rd what is this!?!? The dirty red devils smashed spurs 4-1 to get +1 more GD than me so I guess I have yet another rival for the title. 1st is only 5 points away not far now but I will be without Higuain for 11 days and injury we could ill afford.
