  1. Re: Gc 171 I've got Karpaty in the Ukrainian League as I only joined today. Got some bids in for players that will improve upon current squad by 1/2 ratings. Feel like i've missed out on the opening round of transfer mayhem though, so I may try to get in earlier to GC172.
  2. Re: Manchester City Rises? Can't see any major rises just yet, but i'd be surprised if Lescott and Balotelli didn't get a +1 to 91 each. Kompany is also a possibility, seeing as he's the club captain. Genuinely think he's one of the best CB's in the world (from a Spurs fan) and has a great attitude compared to others at the club.
  3. Re: Serie A Ratings Changes 2011-12 (II) I'm surprised at the amount of drops for Inter. Many of their players already went down -1 in the last review so i'm not sure they'll get dropped again. Also bear in mind that Inter were very near the bottom of the table in the last review and they have come up a little bit to 6th recently.
  4. Re: Fluff's and Pazz' Ligue 1 Rating Thread I notice Diacko Fofana has made his debut for Nice last week and been on the bench for two other games.. Is he covering for injury and will be be worth battling for when he's added to the DB? Thanks!
  5. Re: Respuesta: Re: Marc-Andre ter Stegen
  6. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2011/2012 (I) Disappointed to only see small rises for Papadopoulos and Toprak as i've got both of those in some of my teams But fantastic ratings predictions, great presentation!
  7. Had a quick search and didn't see anything on this fairly simple idea. Basically, it gets quite annoying having to click through pages and pages of your shortlist trying to find the right player for your team. Over a few years of managing some teams and browsing the forums, there are hundreds of players that I am no longer interested in, but also players that have been added for different reasons. What i'm proposing is an idea similar to that used on social networking sites where you can create shortlists for different types of players (ie. short-term risers, long-term prospects, high-priority signing) or any other reasons people would use it. Something similar is already done in the Gold Shortlist feature, although it is done automatically rather than by the user, but I think this would be a very useful tool.
  8. Re: Thomas Carroll - 75 rated THFC cup starter Rose looked alright, but I think he's an out-and-out winger with a lot of pace and creativity, so being stuck at left-back isn't his strongest position. That being said, he had a few good games there and showed promise. For me, he was put under unnecessary pressure the second he scored that bullet against the scum. Everyone saw it and thought "oh here we go, superstar on our hands" but he was never going to score a better goal than that in his life
  9. Re: New Premiership Ratings By MaoaM 2010/11 Was sceptical on Parker at first but he's been outstanding this year for us. I'm a big admirer of Sandro too, i'm just hoping he'll be rotated with Parker so he doesn't become unhappy sitting on the bench. Tommy Huddlestone is out injured at the moment so it'll be interesting to see how he fits in when he's back, and then you take into consideration players such as Livermore who Redknapp wants to give time to, Pienaar who seemed to be a favourite last year and throughout pre-season, and Kranjcar. We've shown we can accommodate two defensive-minded players in the side (pushing Modric to RM) although I can't see Modric being happy out wide all season, and with Lennon coming back to fitness (hopefully he can rediscover his old form) it becomes very difficult to pick a midfield, especially when Van der Vaart comes into question as an AM when we play 1 up top. For the next changes, i'd say Parker +1, Sandro stay, Huddlestone stay (depending on how SM rate injuries, he may -1).
  10. Re: French Ligue 1 & 2 (Risers Edition) I don't watch the French league so can't give you any information on his style of play or anything' date=' but there's quite an extensive thread about him here where people have said that he is potentially the better of the two brothers. It all depends how his career develops really, and if his club get promoted then he'll have a chance to show off his ability in Ligue 1.Judging by Sow's stats, i'd say he should keep his 90 quite comfortably, he's played in all but one game, and is joint top scorer of his club (with Eden Hazard) who are third in the league.
  11. Re: Thomas Carroll - 75 rated THFC cup starter Our whole team is going to be a nightmare for SM to review because the PL and EL teams are entirely different Think themadcow was probably accurate with 80-82 but depends on whether they rate EL minutes as much as PL minutes and i've not been analysing ratings for as long as other people. It's a shame Caulker got injured because I was looking forward to seeing how he'd do for Swansea this year. He has looked impressive whenever i've watched him.
  12. Re: Phil Jones & Chris Smalling Fair point but I think if Utd were short on left-backs they could use him there, it's just they have Evra/Fabio.. People like Zanetti don't play in every defensive position and central midfield all the time, but if needed they could cover there. I'd agree with people previous, he should get Def/DM and rise to 89, Smalling could be 88 or 89 really, depends how much he features before the changes I think.
  13. Re: French Ligue 1 & 2 (Risers Edition) I'm sorry' date=' I forgot that every person in the world must agree about absolutely everything and not be able to input their own opinions on a forum.. Might I direct you to this thread, where it seems quite a few people share the opinion that moving to us isn't a great career move. On topic.. Is it possible for some Montpellier players to push on for 89 with their form? They seem to have come out of nowhere and i'm assuming have an 88 cap (Pitau who I presume is dropping, and Yanga-Mbiwa). Bedimo is currently rated 85 and has played every Ligue 1 minutes so far, so i'm assuming he'll get an 86/87?
  14. Re: French Ligue 1 & 2 (Risers Edition) First name that came to mind, I can quite easily pick hundreds of others that have moved too young and ruined their careers (look at pretty much every youngster that has moved to Chelsea, Liverpool, City over the years).Niang is getting minutes at a top-division club (as Coulibaly was tipped to do for Siena this year), if he moved to a bigger team it's unlikely he'd get any minutes (Coulibaly for example has not even been on the bench in the Europa League yet with the rest of our youngsters). Please stop following me round the forums picking at my posts.
  15. Re: New Premiership Ratings By MaoaM 2010/11 To expand on what Stuart said about him needing a move to a bigger club, he will probably be at one of the top 6 teams by the start of next season. He is strongly linked with Tottenham, Liverpool, and Arsenal (has been for around a year now) so if he moves a rise could occur
  16. Re: French Ligue 1 & 2 (Risers Edition) He's only been used as a sub three times in the second league so far, so he won't be reviewed in the French changes (unless they do division 2). Not sure how ratings work in lower divisions, but i'd 'hazard' a guess at +1 or +2 depending on playing time before then.On another note, has anyone seen M'baye Niang play? Obviously he's hyped massively because he's 16 but is he the real deal? I see he has played 9 games this year and scored once, so a possible rise to 81/82 in the next changes?
  17. Re: Thomas Carroll - 75 rated THFC cup starter Not everyone can afford £50 every home game and £100 every away game, so I can only get to around 50-60% of matches (incidentally, you seem to be home incredibly quickly from Blackburn). As well as Bremen and Milan last year, I went up to Manchester on a monday night and Stoke on a tuesday this year so not exactly a plastic fan like you're suggesting.. Carroll used to play in our U18 & reserve teams before they disbanded at the end of the season before last to form the development squad, and I put reserve ground because it might not be obvious to most non-Spurs fans that we play at our training ground.. Why question everything? Football is all about personal opinions, i've watched Carroll on numerous occasions and don't believe he is anywhere near the ability of other academy players. I highlighted Townsend because he's got bags of talent, didn't say he was in the first team anywhere? Pointless argument, I agreed with the opening post that he'll definitely rise, but gave my opinion on his future to anyone else that may be reading the thread and unsure as to his long term prospects.
  18. Re: Thomas Carroll - 75 rated THFC cup starter noobiescouter - No, i'm a Spurs fan and I go to the majority of the U18 & Reserve games because I live about 10 minutes away from our reserve ground. Salty - Not really, i've seen him play about 20/30 times, compared to most people who have watched 1 Europa League game where he played well. wo0dsy - He'll never be in the first team. Redknapp for some reason is disregarding the Europa League and that's the only reason he's playing. Having seen him for the past year or two, there's no way he'll ever make it. Just because a young player comes into a first team doesn't mean they're any good, don't get your hopes up. Riser: yes. Future star: no, Championship/League 1 quality at best. If you want a good academy player, Andros Townsend is the man, that guy is class.
  19. Re: Lazar Markovic, FK Partizan Good find, thanks. But can I ask about the other youngster playing for Partizan: Nikola Aksentijevic. What is his future like?
  20. Re: New Premiership Ratings By MaoaM 2010/11 Not sure if Van Persie will get 94, no doubt he's been on top form recently and become something of a one-man team, but Arsenal are struggling this year which might prevent him from going up. David Silva to 95 in one jump is a bit far-fetched, but definitely by the end of the season. He's proving this season (today in particular) that he's up there with the best in the world, his vision is unbelievable and his passing is superb, not to mention his movement and creativity. Still young as well, could genuinely see him getting 96/97 if City are successful over the next 3 years or so.
  21. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Anyone know how long Suarez Jeffren is out for? I checked TransferMarkt and it says 21/10/11, so i'm guessing he's still out and that was just the last game he missed or something.. Got excited when he signed from Barca as I thought he'd pick up some minutes and rise, but at the moment i'm assuming he'll stay?
  22. Re: Brazil Série A Rating Predictions Thanks for the info, will invest in Elton and see how his future looks after the next changes, don't think i'll bother with Dellatorre. How about the more famous Emboaba Oscar and Rodrigues Lucas? Would you agree that Lucas can achieve 88/89 in Serie A because he is an international player, and Emboaba is meant to be the next big thing so could move to 86/87 with his minutes played?
  23. Re: Thomas Carroll - 75 rated THFC cup starter Massively overrated because he's one of the only players to come through our academy recently. Livermore, Caulker, and Townsend are all leagues ahead of him but he's just filling up the teamsheet in tournaments we (stupidly) aren't bothered with. His passing is dreadful, he has no strength, and he often gets caught in possession. Just look at the games H vs. Hearts, A vs. PAOK, and H vs. Shamrock Rovers to see how poor he is. Nonetheless he'll get a rise because of minutes!
