  1. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread Pep takes charge of Bayern for the first time tommorow V Bresica in a friendly. Kick off 5.30pm BST. Avaliable on the streaming sites. Will be exciting to see how they follow last season's amazing treble.
  2. Re: Games of the Day Klopp has picked a strong team, with the likes of Gundogan, Reus and Schmelzer starting.
  3. Re: Official Arsenal Thread This is just laughable. We need a striker and that is an absoulte bargain for a class act. We could have had Gomez, now Villa has gone. At this rate, we will not get Higuain and will be stuck with Chamakh and Sanogo to back up Giroud. I will be looking forward to watching the Z list team with no new signings in pre season!
  4. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Just seen that Mario Gomez has gone to Fiorientina for a reported 16m euros. Can't help but think why on earth we did not make a bid? It's clear we need a striker and that is a fairly good price for what is a class player.
  5. Re: Official Arsenal Thread If this Suarez link is true, why do we want to spend 30m+ on 1 player, when quite frankly, we could get 3 or 4 good players for not far over that money who would be great additions to our team?! Alcantara Thiago is rumoured to be around 15-20m, Jovetic likewise, and then we could buy Julio Cesar (around 5-8m) and a couple of free agents, like Honda and Abidal, to add strength in depth (around 35m minimum for 5 players, not much over what we're bidding for Suarez). Not to mention Higuain, who would still fit comfortably into our rumoured 70m budget if we bought him
  6. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Lets think about this for a minute. People know Liverpool should be a bigger threat to 4th place than last season, especially with Suarez and the decent signings they have made. So we put in a relatively low bid knowing LFC will say no, as the bid is not what they are looking for and Suarez has already stated he wants to leave England anyway. This then sends Real Madrid into panic mode, so they get an accepted bid for Suarez, meaning we can open then negotiate for Higuain. This then gets rid of Liverpool's main threat, we can hold them off for CL and we can g
  7. Re: Games of the Day Good games I'd reccommend- Monday 8th July 2013: Actually not many matches on today, being a Monday, but these look the pick of the bunch: Sweden- Allsvenskan- Helsingborg V IFK Goteborg- 6.05pm kick off BST. 3rd V 2nd and the winner goes top of the league. Friendly- Madgeburg V Borussia Dortmund- 5pm kick off BST. Chance to see one of the best sides in the world in action for the first time in 13/14. Might be able to see their new signings, but it depends on the side Klopp picks. Friendly- Standard Liege V Anderlecht- 6pm kick off BST. Belgian rivals means that the m
  8. Re: Games of the Day Some more good matches at 10.30pm BST from the Brazilian Serie A. 3rd V 4th with Botafogo taking on last years champions, Fluminese (Fred in action in that match). Elsewhere, Athletido Mineiro (Bernard's team, linked to top clubs like Dortmund) V Criciuma (a newly promoted team).
  9. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... What other midfielders have you got currently mate?
  10. Re: Games of the Day Good games I'd reccommend- 7th July 2013: U20 World Cup Quarter Final- Iraq V South Korea- 4pm kick off U20 World Cup Quarter Final- Ghana V Chile- 7pm kick off Brazil- Serie A- Sao Paulo V Santos- 8pm kick off All kick off times BST. The U20 World Cup games can be watched live on FIFA's website and can be paused, meaning you could watch the first half of Ghana V Chile, pause it, watch Sao Paulo V Santos, and watch the second half of Ghana V Chile after the Sao Paulo V Santos game has finished.
  11. Don't know if this has been done before, but I wanted to start a thread on "Games of the Day". The idea is for forumers to discuss any good football action that is taking place from around the world that they may be watching or that they would reccommend watching. This then can give forumers some ideas as to what good matches are on on a particular day and what could be good games to watch. This is particularly the case in the summer, with little football on TV, and so people may want to know good pre season or competitive games they can watch online via streaming sites. From this, people c
  12. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Didn't know Chelsea bought Michael Van Gerwen, lol (darts fans would get the joke). Anyhow, Van Ginkel won't get much play at all at Chelsea. You can't tell me that he will play over Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Lampard, Mikel, Moses and Schurrle. Another great young player stuck on the bench and/or out on loan (probably at Vitesse). I mean this could be Chelsea's "loaned out/reserves 11" next season, which isn't that bad at all: Courtois Wallace, Bruma, Omerou, Van Aanholt Chalobah Marin, Van Ginkel, Romeu, McEachran Lukaku Chelsea are just hogging young talent
  13. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Just got what you meant by that statement. Apologies and indeed facepalms going on!
  14. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Well excuse me for my mistake then. But I wouldn't totally agree with that statement. Dortmund played a 4-2-3-1 with Gundogan and Bender as the two and Gotze the more advanced man in the midfield 3.
  15. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Luke Shaw. Only one who will get regularly played next season at their current club and so will rise faster.
  16. Re: Serie A Rating Predictions Both are class players, no doubt, but Carvajal wasn't even a starter at the U21 Euros, whereas De Sciligo is now an established senior international with Italy at the age of 20. I think that is the reason why there is a rating difference and I think it is justified for now.
  17. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion I'd still keep him because if he gets that 91, he'll be rated alongside Fellaini and better than Munain and wilshere (though he too should go up to 91) so he will be pushing for starts in your side. I'd only sell if you can get some good money.
  18. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Difficult one because Klopp seems to rotate around Gundogan, Kehl, Bender and (for the second half of last season) Sahin. With Sahin gone (back to Madrid, temporarily at least) Bender should get a lot more play alongside Gundogan in DM, so I'd say he can reach 91, and even if he does not, he's a good back up to have incase Fellaini gets injured in your team.
