  1. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Right guys, bit of transfer news then. Sanogo joining on a free. Decent business I say. Not the established first teamer we need, but a nice back up to have. Also, I think Higuain will be confirmed as an Arsenal player very soon. Jack Wilshere has just followed Gonzalo on Twitter. Given Wilshere only follows 92 people, I think this is a massive giveaway. Higuain is on his way!
  2. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Stindl has been linked to both via the source of Eurosport 2 correspondant Andreas Yorger (spelling may be wrong). It was in January granted, but is true. So only thing wrong about it was I should have stated that Stindl has been linked to or was linked to Dortmund and Bayern.
  3. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Kruse had a great season and can potentially do well at Gladbach next season. Keep him. Stindl is good and Rudy is a German u21 international, but it is hard to see them rising any further. But they might move clubs (Stindl linked to Bayern and Dortmund) so I'd keep them for now. Rudiger is a keep- he was a regular towards the back end of last season. Will rise from 82. Ulreich and Harnik are very good players but are unlikely to move or rise. Given your squad situation however, I would keep them both. Ulreich would be a good back up for Neuer (much bett
  4. Re: Official Arsenal Thread I'd happily take Negredo at the right price. He is one of the most under rated strikers in La Liga. Due to the strength of Spain's squad, he rarely gets a look in, but he is a clinical CF and would be a very good addition to our team. I like him a lot. You think, if we could sell Chamakh and Gervinho and get around 5-10m for the pair, we could use the money to put towards Negredo, getting rid of the rubbish and bringing in quality (good business). However, with Sevilla selling Navas and them looking likely to sell Kondogbia, I wonder if they would sell Negredo too
  5. Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread I see there is discussion over Isco and Neymar. My opinion is that Neymar might be a replacement for David Villa, in that he will play from the right with Iniesta on the left and that certain Argentine in the middle. Certainly a world class player who has been unfairly dubbed "over rated" due to the fact he has not played in Europe. As for Isco, I am uncertain as to whether he would get in the Real team every week. I see him as competition to Ozil in the CAM role behind the CF. He will most certainly get picked over Kaka however. I believe Kak
  6. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings Predictions thread Well, they were immense, so these are deserved. The strength in depth is amazing in Spain. They could soon end up holding the World Cup, Euros, U21 Euros, Confederations Cup, U20 World Cup and U17 World Cup (October). Just ridiculous. Slightly off topic, but do you think some of the European teams have got their squad selections wrong for the U20 World Cup? Compare some of their squads to players they could have had for instance and they would have much stronger sides. In other words, would the U21 Euros be classed as a bigger competition than a Wor
  7. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread Some good ties to look forward to on streaming sites in July. What I want to know is how UEFA determine what club plays in what round? Celtic for example beat Barcelona and got to the last 16 in the CL last season, Dinamo Zargreb are CL regulars and BATE beat Bayern (lol) last season in the CL.
  8. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 Agree Timesle. Sahin will probably leave Madrid and go back to Dortmund but his reputation has been ruined by Madrid somewhat. He was one of Dortmund's best players when they won the league title in 10/11, never got the chance at Madrid, and as a consequence would now struggle to get in the Dortmund side given Gundogan and Bender's performances. He was poor at Liverpool but I believe that was the system more than anything than liverpool play.
  9. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Haven't been on the forum a while, so sorry if this question has been asked before, but who do you think Arsenal should try and sign? My opinions are that Higuain would be a really good signing for our team, as he is a goal scorer with valuable experience of the big European and league games. Julio Cesar has also been linked to us. He would also be a decent signing who has a lot of experience of the big games- looked good at QPR. Good shot stopper. We have also been linked to Ashley Williams- he is a good player and would be a useful addition to our squad. I'm
  10. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 He is a Real Madrid player officially' date=' and I can't see him getting into their starting 11. Keep him because he might move to a new club where he starts regularly. Should stay 91. Will probably stay now that Schalke are in the CL.
  11. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Hello guys, Need a bit of help. This is what I am trying to do, but is it worth doing?: 1. Sell Kevin Grosskeurtz for around 7.5m- my thinking is that he won't start enough games for Dortmund to justify a +1 to 90? 2. Once I sell Grosskeurtz, I will then buy Courtois for 6m + Papadopolous (Schalke CB). Is this good business? As I say, I'm not sure whether Grosskeurtz, or indeed Papadopolus will reach 90 soon. Whereas, with Courtois, I'd say he could reach 91 very soon? By the way, I have bought Subotic off of a fellow manager for 1.5m + Luke Shaw and Giovi
  12. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... If you're getting Ronaldo, then that is 100% a good deal. If you've got Ronaldo, keep him.
  13. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Who should I buy- Tino Costa or Selcuk Inan?
  14. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Which one of these would you sell? Both are fringe players in my team: Pazzini Gustavo Thanks.
  15. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread No denying Iniesta's class, but if anything, Barca were well below par in the CL this season. Lost to Celtic in the group stage, who would be the equivalent of Norwich if they played in England. Should have lost to PSG. Could have gone out to AC Milan, after losing the first leg 2-0. If anything, Bayern have taken over the mantle piece (even if they lost to BATE in the group stages).
  16. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Ha ha ha. It's worth a go- I bought Hamsik for a relatively cheap deal off of this bloke and a 93 for a 91 might tempt him. Here's hoping!
  17. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Right, I haven't put this bid in yet, so I don't know whether the other manager would accept the bid... Do you think Ashley Cole for Neymar is a good swap (I'd be getting Neymar)? I have Leighton Baines and Alvaro Pereria as back up left backs, and I am thinking that Cole isn't getting any younger and Neymar is going to Barcelona and is only 21. Is that a good deal for me (if I could get it accepted)? Thanks.

  19. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread Seen the story on BBC about the Europa League winners getting entry to the Champions League a season after. Surely this idea is flawed (as I will explain)? For a start, the majority of Europa League and UEFA Cup winners qualify from their domestic league for the Champions League the next season anyway, such as Chelsea this season. What happens then, because even the runner up seems to qualify too for the Champions League via their domestic league? Secondly, teams are constantly dropping out of the Champions League into the Europa League, meaning
  20. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread Completely agree with this. Having said that, the playoff system in the Championship obviously features teams from the same division, that have experienced playing each other twice already in the season, so the 6th place team is better equiped to beat the 3rd placed team (for example), meaning it is hard to predict a winner. In the Bundesliga, there are 2 clubs from the top 2 divisions, and usually the Bundesliga club wins, due to this, making it easier to predict and much harder for the Bundesliga 2 club to win. Is it not therefore better to h
