  1. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread I was wondering what people thought of the current playoff system in the Bundesliga? Personally, I am not convinced by the relegation playoffs. For instance, In England, it would be like Wigan dropping into the Championship playoffs, which therefore makes it a bit unfair on the teams who have worked hard to get where they are in the 2nd division. In addition, there is usually a gulf in class between the top flight team and the second division side, which is proved by the stats- 9 of the last 14 Bundesliga playoffs have been won by the higher divis
  2. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I need some help please on the following: 1. Should I swap Jorge Rolando for Joel Matip or Daniel Carvajal? 2. I am going to buy Yaroslav Rakytskiy in a deal- what are his chances of reaching 90? Thanks.
  3. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread What time is the Bundesliga playoff game tonight? And is it on ESPN? Thanks.
  4. Re: Official Rugby League Thread Bit of banter before tonight's game- Stevo bingo: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/842/stevobingo.png/ Oh, and if you are wondering, this is the one for Phil Clarke: http://www.buzzbuzzbingo.com/images/bingocards/2/5/PhilClarkeBingo-3552.jpg
  5. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... On form yes, but they are clearly average when they have regular internationals, 5 World Cup winners and world class players like Ronaldo, Ozil, Alonso, Benzema, Casillias and Ramos (not)!
  6. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13 Yes' date=' but a 90 does seem a bit OTT considering his playing time at Chelsea. I suppose if Dede is a 90, Oscar should be though. Cleverley is not a "rotation" player! He starts most, if not all, games for Man U now. He has started 16/26 league games for United, which is much more than Anderson, Fletcher and Scholes in his postion. He is also now a regular England international. That, in my opinion, is 90 material.
  7. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13 Thanks for your kind comments and rep- I can't be the only one who thinks this?
  8. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13 Sorry if I am a bit late with this post- haven't been on the forum for a while. I find it amazing that Oscar is now a 90 and Cleverley only an 89. Now, I know you lot are going to turn around and say "well, Cleverley to rise +4 is a bit much in one review". But why not? Oscar is no more than a rotation player for Chelsea. OK, he has been superb last couple of weeks, but he isn't a Chelsea regular by any means. SM are just doing their typical thing of over rating young players. You have got to say now that Cleverley is now an established M
  9. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Got the option to buy Kyle Naughton for 4.1m off of unmanaged- worth it? He has been playing a lot for Spurs recently, so 88/89 on the cards? Cheers.
  10. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Although his current standards aren't good enough to fit into the Arsenal starting 11, who wouldn't want to sign Beckham?! He would bring in so much revenue in merchandise sales and more media attention to a club. I wouldn't mind signing him, even if it meant him sitting on his backside every game, as he would help to bring in lots of money to improve the squad in other areas.
  11. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Of the following Athletico players, who would you buy? Predictions as to ratings?: Cardoso Tiago Torres Juanfran Mario Suarez Raul Garcia I currently have 6.8m, but could raise money to buy Luis Filipe or Fernandez Gabi. Would you advise this over buying any of the above? Cheers.
  12. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 Wouldn't totally rule out +3 for next review, but +2 would be more likely, so yeah, agree with you.
  13. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 I disagree. OK, RVP plays for a much bigger club, but Falcao is scoring just as many goals in just as competitive a league. His goals practically won Athletico the Europa League and have got them to 2nd in the table. Both should be rated 95 eventually imo. Maybe not straight away mind.
  14. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 Falcao has scored 22 goals in all competitions this season and 18 in those 17 league games. RVP has 21 in all competitions, so if anything, Falcao is doing slightly better than RVP, so if RVP gets 95, so should Falcao.
  15. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 100% agree mate. Falcao has been world class for the past 2 seasons. He and RVP deserve at least 95 each.
  16. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 Pep's teams are all about passing and possesion, so the best passers in the team would probably be Kroos and Schweinsteiger. Woudln't be suprised if Bayern bought players like Villa from Barca now.
  17. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 I did say Falcao would most likely get 94, but if you look at the stats and recent reviews, he should and could get a 95. OK, 96 will probably be too big a jump, so I will say sorry to that, but certainly 95 could be on.
  18. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 Well, Messi is on another planet. I edit that to just behind Ronaldo then, who is the 2nd best player on SM on rating.
  19. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 This season (all competitions): Messi- 36 goals Ronaldo- 24 goals Falcao- 22 goals Falcao is only just behind the 2 best rated players in the game in the goals charts this season. Falcao should get at least +2, but if you look at the 95+ strikers in the game, these are their records (Falcao got 24 last season): Rooney- 8 goals (31 last season) Villa- 5 goals (has been injured mind) (13 last season) Ibrahimovic- 20 goals (34 last season) If you look at the records, Falcao has been doing better than these 3 this season, and Athletico aren't as dominant a
  20. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13 No chance. He will remain 90.
  21. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Got 8m to spend. I was thinking of buying an Athletico player, given their league position and La Liga being updated soon. Who should I buy out of the following and why? Thanks in advance. Torres Juanfran- 5m Mario Suarez- 5.6m Filipe Luis- 7.9m Fernandez Gabi- 7.4m
  22. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 I doubt it- final touches will probably take place tommorow. Mandzukic, Castro, Subotic and Kiessling should get +1 and then the rest would seem pretty fair to me.
  23. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 Spot on- the only real suprise with Dortmund for me is that Subotic didn't get at least a 92. Bender maybe could have got a +1 too, and same with Kehl. Apart from that, the ratings for Dortmund are more than fair. With these updates, I say Kiessling will get 92, Dante, Schurrle and Mandzukic 91.
