Little update on this lad seeing as its been some years since!
Koray Gunter currently plays for Genoa, having joined them from Galatasaray.
Very limited playing time. 14 appearances totaling in just 828 minutes all up.
He is only 24 and has been around for a while. Expect him to get a few more minutes next season, or don't be surprised if Genoa move him on
Ill be back in a couple more years to keep you updated with his progress

*this forum used to be so good, its utter trash now. SM sold out for all that money....* real shame

Kev good step forward giving the option on the interface and thank you for listening.
Now you have to realise that this option needs to be PERMANENT.
You will have the EXACT same reactions in 11 Jan if you make the new UI permanent for all.
For me from yesterday until the 7th December it's like the game is down, i don't even bother. From 7th i will have at least 1 more playable month. After that it's your choice to make it a permanent choice for all which UI to keep, or face the leaking of users. At least i won't bother with this UI for sure

I've been trying to get on with this now for 2 days but to no avail.
I'd read a number of comments over the last few days but didn't want to check my 2 pence in before giving it a chance.
I started playing this game almost 5 years ago (it will be 5 years in January) on a PC and now just play it via my iPhone on the desktop setting as it's intuitive and nice to use. This new one is ghastly, if this had been in place when I first played this, I wouldn't have lasted a day, let alone almost 5 years.
I also hope that come January they retain the original desktop site as otherwise I won't be sticking around, it'll almost be like I've wasted hundreds of hours of my life on this.
The simple answer is to vote with your wallets, it's the only thing that matters in a consumer driven service.

Alright. So i have played this game for 7-8 years. Over that period of time i have really enjoyed what you guys have been giving us. I paid to become a gold manager too. But as time went on you (SMFA) started changing website design every so often it seemed. Rather that focus on the actual issues the game has itself such as player concerns etc.. you went for rather pointless face-lifts.

I'm not a fan of this new design at all. Here's my reasons:

Everything is so god damn huge. I'm not a 5 year old i can see. There is no reason for it to be this big The dark background is pointless, what does it serve? it just seems really crowded and a far reach from a simple layout. The layout is really really bad and confusing. The dark colours make me feel like i have to search for everything, why not white? The different tabs for different actions seems wasteful and would make it difficult for newbies who aren't sure where everything is. Why not have it all on one thing to make it easy and simple to use? that's what soccermanager used to be.    Club messages are not clear anymore. These are the main cause of conern for all managers yet we have to click on club to see them. Back to my other point again, but there is no need for the club messages to be so huge. The tactics update has screwed alot of managers, not alot we can do there but i could only assume the orange around my player means they are out of position? and green means fine?  The star around the rating is cool but it dosnt stand out, i find myself looking at the photo of the player first, should look to make the ratings the first thing to stand out as this is what this game is all about, ratings There is a real sense of being alone. There is hardly any communication between managers. You took away the newspaper which was a great way to chat and have banter with other managers. You should look to make that a high priority or else you will lose heaps of players which you already are. My last point, like 97% of these comments are negative. LISTEN TO THE FANS AND PLAYERS OF THIS GAME We don't want this new clunky ugly slow update. instead of this relaunch nonsense you could have changed the way you do the ratings, like in regions as it used to be. Anyway thats what i think. I have loved this game for so long. Just saddens me to see these kinds of changes aimed at attracting new people to the game. Instead you should listen to what we want and keep it simple.

Be interesting to see if SMFA take notice and make the changes.

dgormand got a reaction from Miles P Nilges in Club Logos? Bring them back!
I hate how SM have removed the club logos
All we get to identify the club with is some t-shirts in the colour of the club
The point of a logo is to give an image to the club, something that everyone can relate to about the club. Some logos are iconic, such as the nike, and Mc donalds logo
In my view, soccermanager MUST bring back the club logos, this is disrespectful to the clubs by not having their logos next to the club name

A bit disappointed at all the concern over me spending 14 million on Leon Goretzka. I'm a real German fan, and Leon Goretzka is pure talent. I could not afford to miss out on this lad and made a decision to spend big. It could backfire if he doesn't take the next steps in his career but i hope he can. The future looks bright for him. Looking at my squad they are aging. This is because of the gameworld rules. No worries. I now have a top young prospect who can pick up games along the way. I have played SM for a while so i am experienced so to all you worrying that ill quit don't. I have no intention off quitting even if i lose 100 games in a row. Im all set for a long term project. I have my eyes set on some more targets.
Just signed Marvin Compper. Reliable defender and young.
Leon Goretzka spoke to the official website following his move..
"Im very happy about joining my boyhood club. Its true other clubs made offers but my heart was set on joining Schalke. Hopefully we can do great things together and write our names in the history books. Im very excited and i cannot wait to get started"

    ^this very true
The way he celebrated his 2nd goal against Germany was disgraceful. Taking his shirt off and standing there like he is god. Arrogant. And people say he was the reason Italy got to the final. I would say his goals proved invaluable but Cassano lead the team like a striker. Balotelli plays for himself, Cassano for the team. This is why Mario Balotelli will never be a great player in my eyes

Dortmund are a team experiencing all kinds of highs right now. It seems that every player playing for them gets the right kind of media treatment. Gotze, Hummels are a the top of the world right now. Koray Günter looks to follow the trend and become a big name in the football world. It will be a while till he clamps down a starting spot in the Dortmund team but is already captain of the Borussia Dortmund U19 side at the age of 17. Dortmund rate this player VERY highly. Rated on SM: 70
    Position: RM/CM
Saw this lad on soccermanager, did a bit of research and turns out he is a little gem
Only rated 70 you can get Harris for as little as 7,500 k in English Championships
He is sure to rise, i would expect to at least 77-78
Kadeem made his first appearance for Cardiff City development team. The livewire winger showed real pace and ability
The word Around Cardiff is that they see Harris as the future for the club

Re: Souleymane Coulibaly - New Drogba!!??
He scored in his first appearance in a spurs shirt
    Text form spurs website
The young Ivory Coast striker scored the equaliser within minutes of entering the fray as a second half substitute and later hit the post and forced a fine save out of Brighton goalkeeper Peter Brezovan.
Our team included David Button in goal, Jake Livermore, Andros Townsend, Ryan Mason, Tom Carroll and Harry Kane. Livermore lined-up at centre-half with Jake Nicholson.
Brighton took an early grip of the game at the Estadio Municipal in Albufeira and took a 2-0 lead inside 40 minutes through Will Hoskins and Torbojrn Adgestein.
We were back in the game within a minute though as Andros Townsend hit a thunderbolt into the top corner.
Coulibaly - pictured above in Ivory Coast action - replaced Jonathan Obika at half-time and took just 10 minutes to make his mark, firing home the equaliser.
Harry Kane then forced a fine save from Brezovan, Coulibaly struck the post and Brezovan completed a hat-trick of saves to deny Coulibaly late on.
"Andros scored a 'worldy' to get us back into the game and there was only one team that was going to win the game in the second half," reported Technical Co-ordinator Tim Sherwood.
"Souleymane did well. He scored, the goalkeeper made one outstanding save out of the top corner from him and he also hit the post.
"He has a one-track mind and that's to go for goal, he gets the ball out of his feet and smashes it. He did well. Massimo was the pick though, he was our man-of-the-match."

dgormand reacted to Sky_Blue_Gould in Undisclosed fee should remain undisclosed.
Just a little idea I had whilst unable to sleep
Currently on SM, we all know very well that you can bid 'undisclosed fees' which I think is a tool nearly all managers utilise. Personally however, I think this could be expanded.
Say I bid £4m undisclosed for a player in a brand new set-up. Once the bid is accepted it becomes clear to everyone what the figure is. This can be a terrible terrible thing if an eagle eyed manager has a bit of knowledge of set-ups. Not only will he know how big of a chunk I've taken out of my budget, he may also be able to piece together after a few transfers how I value players and what I bid for certain ratings and ages.
I think it could be quite interesting to see the undisclosed fee remaining undisclosed even after the transfer is complete. It adds a touch more realism to the game (in real life undisclosed fees rarely come out into the open, only estimations are made) and also adds an extra challenge to managers trying to figure out just what the other teams remaining budgets are.
This minor change could also make deals more fun. Currently you can take a good guess which manager will win a race for a certain player as all the bids get displayed once accepted. How much more fun would it be having to wait and hope that yours is that bid. You could never be even close to sure if you've got him or not this way.
Of course, if you exchange players you'll still be able to piece things together by looking at the other clubs after a deal is made, but I just think on the whole this could be an interesting little idea that would if anything really help those middle to lower division teams keep some of their cards closer to their chest.
