    Favourite Facebook Apps

Re: Favourite Facebook Apps Is that what FIFA Superstars is now? Needed something to fill the time now I quit all my SM teams' date=' and it is pretty handy for filling five minutes here and there. Take a look and become an addict like me if you don't play already! I even put a link in for you guys to check it out. [url']http://me.playfish.com/fifa/ref/stuart/luda1[/url]
  2. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread I'll try to keep this brief, as I don't really want a long goodbye; but just to let everyone know that I am leaving the game and so will be quitting all my Gold teams. This post is more of a post to everyone to ask that my teams that I have spent a lot of time and energy on are not either ripped apart, or taken over by someone who won't give them the respect I feel they deserve as my "babies". Teams that are coming available will include: Roma Gold 11: My favourite team, who have just wrapped up their fourth Serie A title in a row with a squad including Eto'o, Buffon, Chiellini, Fabiano to name just the best four. Arsenal Gold 40: Reigning SMFA Champions Cup champs. Number 1 manager in the setup. Atletico Mineiro Gold 86: A tiny team that have dominated Brazil since the start of the setup, doing the domestic treble every year starting from division 2. Currently 8 points clear at the top after only 8 games with a 100% record. Liverpool Gold 14: Awesome squad in a great setup where Dai is the main rival. League title almost tied up. Also: Napoli Gold 24, Werder Bremen Gold 119, Bayern Gold 44, Valencia Gold 74 and 136, and finally Milan in Gold 144. Good luck for the future for everyone, it's been a pleasure.

  4. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread During negotiations with another manager today I found out for sure why Gold Championships are dying on their backsides. I was interested in buying Robben from him, for which when talking via PM he stated that an offer he thought fair (and his final offer no less) would be Pirlo plus Boateng, and then I would have to sell him Antonini for £5M. In all fairness I could keep Boateng on loan for the season so I could watch his rating go up, and realise how poor a deal it was for the next few months. So basically in return for a 94 rated 26 year old (who has been injured all season) and £5M he wanted an aged 31 rated 94, a 28 year old 88 with a very good chance of rising to 89, and a 23 year old 86, who should get 88/89 by the end of the season. Needless to say I won't be dealing with him. The problem is is that all managers seem to be asking these stupidly inflated prices these days. Whatever happened to a mutually fair deal? And people wonder why managers resort to stripping unmanaged clubs? little wonder when so many "real" managers are such douchebags.
  5. Re: FA Cup Aldershot got past Brentford 1-0 to set up an away tie against the mighty Dover Athletic. If I'm honest, this was the result I was looking for, just purely based on the fact that Aldershot play in a division lower than Brentford, thus improving our chances of getting to the 3rd round, and a crack at the big boys. Still going to be one hell of a challenge though. Will be queueing for my ticket this weekend, fingers crossed!
  6. Re: Official Arsenal Thread Take it to a mod if it bothers you that much. But then remember that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones too.
  7. Re: Toni Kroos Help!! Welcome to Gold 86. Anyone else hear the vultures circling?
  8. Re: Methods to report in-game cheating It would be interesting to get some feedback in writing from the one person who stated that they thought the system as it stands is fine, just to get some perspective. Still no further word from the Devs I see also........
  9. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Who are you in GC144?
  10. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread All this talk of getting transfers reversed, does anyone actually know how to get a ticket raised to ask for this now? The reason I ask, is that I finally got my first deal in Gold 144 done, which went through, but it was part of a two part deal. Guess what? Yep, the second part has got blocked by the SMFA. And to rub salt into the wounds, the new ticketing system that I have been campaigning against in respect of cheating won't allow you to raise a ticket unless the issue is in respect of a bug or cheating. It even specifically says in the FAQs that if you use a bug ticket to report an SMFA blocked deal then they will pretty much ignore it! Oh well, looks like there's going to be some really good teams available in 39 days when my Gold membership runs out, because this sham of a company couldn't run a booze up in a brewery, and there's no way I would consider putting more money into their coffers at the moment to screw up further the Gold Championships, and the game in general with their money grabbing, cost saving measures.:mad:
  11. Re: Official Arsenal Thread The thing is why would you put your alleged 3rd choice keeper on £30,000 a week and a five year deal if you were planning to bump him to fourth choice? Szczesny is the future mark my words.

    etoo 96 >97

Re: etoo 96 >97 Even when eto'o was on fire from a goalscoring point of view in his last season at Barca he didn't get 97, so I think it very unlikely that he'll get it now.

  14. Re: Methods to report in-game cheating I sincerely hope that the SM Devs do not see this thread as an attack on the changes made, but merely as a means of the community providing specific feedback on specific changes; as as I have said before, the other changes made recently on the whole have been very good. As one other member of the forum did point out though, John's response did come across as being very defensive, but I think maybe the time has come for SM to acknowledge that we as customers are not happy with these changes as they stand, and that SM maybe need to admit they have got this one wrong, even if the intentions were good, which of course, they were. The poll so far kind of tells the story, that no-one is happy with the changes, with over 82% feeling the changes are for the worse. I'm sure everyone would be appreciative if SM could clarify what the position is further on this issue, be it that the system will stay as it is (further disgruntling customers), or if further changes are in the pipeline to imminently solve the issues raised by these recent changes.
  15. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Cheers fella. How embarrassed do I feel now?
  16. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread This is a complete noob question, but then I've never paid to reserve a team; but how long before a new gold gameworld opens and I can start doing some transfer deals?
  17. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread GOLD 144: New AC Milan manager Stuart Cowell is willing to offer some of his biggest stars in part-exchange as he looks to put his mark on the squad. Players can either be offered in 2 for 1 deals for the biggest stars in the game, or he will accept 2 lower rated players for 1 of his, as long as their ratings are at least 88, and they are aged 28 or below and are not imminently due for a drop in rating. Players available for p/e include Nesta, Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Zambrotta, Ambrosini, Seedorf, Flamini and Gattuso. So if you have a big star that you want to sell, and would like two of the above named players potentially, then drop him a PM. Also available for cash are a number of the squad. Just take a look and get your bids in once the transfer window opens. Highest bid within about 24 hours of the first bid being placed over the asking price seals the signature.
  18. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread First time I've paid for a team, but what the hell! GC144 - AC Milan - everyone available at the right price!
  19. Re: Does SM need to bring back the ability to report cheats with a support ticket? Thank you for taking the time to respond John, if nothing else the thread has got your attention like it was supposed to. If however, I could respectfully make a few points of my own to your response. If indeed it was so blatantly obvious, then why is that there have been several threads created across the forum querying how to report certain types of cheating? And how come no one seemed to know the answer? This assumes that the cheating relates to a specific transfer, which had you read through the thread in detail, would have been clear is not always the case. Sometimes cheats can use underhand means to manipulate the transfer market, not to mention issues with duplicate accounts or reneging on agreed "multipart" deals. I'm sure that this was your intention, and most of the recent changes made have been excellent, but it is clear that this is in fact, not the case. How long has the new system been running exactly? I only noticed the change a couple of weeks ago, and if it was bought in with the last raft of changes made, then statistically I would not regard that as a reliable enough statistical period to quote, as it is simply not long enough. When you click on the transfer that you wish to report, a very small text box appears to enter details. This gives the impression that you are limited in the detail that you can type. Is there a text limit to this box? If so, it might be advisable to say what it is.
  20. Re: Does SM need to bring back the ability to report cheats with a support ticket? Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to either vote, comment, or both. I think that we can see from the poll so far, that this is a situation that the community are less than happy about, and that SM need to do something to resolve the issue. I just wanted to pick up on a few points: I found this particularly disappointing too. In fact it was only when I tried to report an instance of cheating (which coincidently had nothing at all to do with a transfer' date=' but rather someone attempting to manipulate the transfer market) that I found out that the system had changed, and effectively my means of raising a ticket no longer existed. I don't think it's necessarily that SM have "given up", that's a little unfair given that a system still exists. What is clear though is the new system does not cover every scenario, and from the votes of the community, and the comments already made, is deemed to be woefully inadequate by us, the users.

  22. Re: Where is the link for multiple accounts reporting Please can everyone take a look at the following thread which I have started so that the community can get their opinions across to SM on the issue of support tickets for cheating. At the moment there are numerous threads with little direction, but if we can get one thread going to present to SM then maybe they may reverse this change if it is needed. http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?t=74383
