  1. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Stockport are the last Division 4 team standing in the Shield , after Avelar, Neves and Dehn fire the coffee lovers to a 3-0 upset of Hull.
  2. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread It's back to the drawing board for Chester as we tie our last 3 games (over 90 minutes). TBH, Nuneaton were the better side at the Deva, but we maintain an unbeaten record at home. Pritchard was named captain... and got a straight red.
  3. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Actually, I know why we lost. Sulley Ali Muntari here refused to be substituted by a jug of coffee, leading to him joining the transfer list. For just 7,924,000 you can get a defensive/left midfielder!
  4. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread 0-2 loss to Brighton sees us lose our unbeaten record at home. Fulham target Sako was the man doing the damage. Accidentally substituted Lima for Avelar and it cost us. However, we are on an upward trajectory away from home, and we will want to continue this against Shrewsbury. We do better against the good teams anyway.
  5. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread A fact lost on our impressive victory over Arsenal was that we remained winless over 90 minutes away from home. That fact haunted us here in a 1-1 draw against Braintree. No idea how we failed to win, but it seems like we faced John Cena in goal! Outnumbering the opposition on both possession and SOT, the GK saved everything but Zardes, the only visitor who beat him got MOTM. Also have the "convenient" injury of Ryan Williams to deal with. In better news, we've signed the midfield duo of Evans Nyarko and Josh Pritchard. Deliberated over which
  6. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! Hull end the rot with a 1-0 victory over the Saints, used myriad long balls to no effect but when we decided to pass with class, we score. Cambiasso got the winner after my dressing down during the weekend.
  7. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread A Gum goal gives us a 1-0 victory at Burton, have never beaten Burton before this so it's all good.
  8. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread What more to say about this, Shayesteh officially becomes a national hero. Stillo was a boss for the last four games #ThankYouStillo Unlucky to Jkerrs but it's Chester's day.
  9. Re: EC2933 Discussion Thread- VACANCIES SO JOIN THE FUN Brighton & Hove Albion available! Signature players Pirlo and Yilmaz!
  10. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Our forwards strike again, Zardes and Williams finishing Cambridge 3-0, after the last Boateng standing opened the scoring. However, another injury occurred, this time to SAKOR, robbing us of our first choice Norwegian connection in central midfield. Now we go on the road to the Emirates.
  11. Re: The MLS (Reality Based GameWorld) Haha this GW has legs' date=' albeit broken ones Good luck to everyone for today's league openers, Dallas face Los Angeles Galaxy Also won the Charity Shield, unlucky Club Tijuana, still better than Mexico at this year's Gold Cup.
  12. Re: EC2933 Discussion Thread- VACANCIES SO JOIN THE FUN The Forest Badasses win their first game under new management against Rotherham. Abbiati in the Rotherham goal was in inspired form, but we capitalized on the defender El Koutari giving away two free kicks. RUIZ opened the scoring and Granero made the points safe.
  13. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! Another 1-2 loss to Gonzodan's Sunderland. We are free falling at this rate, Cambiasso is a liability these days, costing us a win at Tottenham and now a point here with errant tackling.
  14. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Good game, Cassio saves us again as we remain unbeaten at Edgeley Park. Unfortunately our attack disappeared in this contest, playing both Lima and Jo up front certainly didn't work.
  15. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Lallana, can always get Kacaniklic if you love Swedes
  16. Re: English Championship 28697 - Match Reports,Transfer news etc. Top Class Penetration at the Deva After an awful sequence of 3 away games without a win, Chester FC are back in business. The "Chestnuts" certainly started slowly, but after foretyplay... whoops forty minutes of play, Seth Lark's men destroyed a hapless Macclesfield Town. Fabian Hurzeler headed the hosts in front after a pinpoint Vajebah Sakor free kick. Once the floodgates opened it didn't take long for a second goal to arrive. McGlashan of Town brought down Ryan Williams in the zone, making the ref point to the spot. Ma
  17. Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Shahid's Mustache! Shahid's Mustache! www.tumblr.com/tagged/cody's%20mustache Now Fulham can replace Dempsey and Dembele pronto.
  18. Re: EC2933 Discussion Thread- VACANCIES SO JOIN THE FUN No worries, I can understand why, considering Forest and Brighton are promotion rivals this season. Truth be told, my interest in this GW is waning, and I could so easily enter a password and get out, like many have done. But I wouldn't like that one bit. It's personal, as opposed to personnel reasons that convinced me to join the City Ground. The job presents me with the opportunity to manage Shawcross-Papadopoulos, my favorite center back pairing. With Javi Martinez and a whole clutch of youths at the club, it was just too tantaliz
  19. Re: EC2933 Discussion Thread- VACANCIES SO JOIN THE FUN Thus ends a storied career on the South Coast. I've left around 3 million in the bank at the AMEX, with big names like Pirlo, Yilmaz and FISCHER. What a way to end my tenure too, Fischer burying a free kick 4 minutes from time to rescue a point against resurgent Carlisle. The team looks good, but I could use a 90 rated D,M(L), with a couple million and Luiz Adriano, Esteban Granero and Benoit Tremoulinas available for PX.
  20. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread 4-0 destruction of Macclesfield maintains a 100% record at the Deva. We now have 9 different scorers this season, but none have gone on to score a second. Up next the schedule looks tough- early leaders Cambridge and ARSENAL in the Cup. *Sees Bismark Adjei-Boateng injury news* What in the world?
  21. Re: English Championship 7046 Match Report/Tranfer Gossip Thread Captain Crunch It's The Lima Show in Wales as captain ends goal drought in style For 8 agonizing fixtures, Stockport captain Lima kicked the kitchen sink at goal, but each attempt ended with increasing frustration as the Brazilian played 675 minutes without getting on the scoresheet. It would turn out that "The Coffee King" just needed a break, all 45 minutes of it. For the first time in over 30 fixtures, the Hatters' main man was left on the bench for the game at Cardiff City. The hosts had chips on their shoulders a
  22. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! 2-5 loss to Chelsea, we fought back to 1-2 and 2-3 scorelines, but ultimately stats were very much in favor of the hosts.
  23. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Welcome back Lima, now tell me which aliens abducted you Everything went right today, from the half time substitution of Jo for Lima and Avelar starting in place of a tired Elano. Good to see us hitting the right notes again following a minor slump.
