    d3
Three games to go...and nothing in it at the top of div 3,
Ipswich, the leaders, seem to have an easiest run-in - facing up against a succession of lower-table, miserable, under-performing, wretched, open to bribery, "linked-with-Asian-betting syndicate" sides.
The bog-dwelling savages are also on a run of 4 straight wins - so it would take a major downturn in form for Manager Secasiu's team not to clinch an automatic pomotion slot and perhaps the title.
Look out for "unusual betting patterns"
Northampton sit second and have the hardest run in - facing 5th place Rotherham and 3rd place Man City in successive matches. The Cobblers led the table for most of the season but have faltered badly in recent weeks.
A combination of cruel injuries, scandalous refereeing decisions, incredible bad luck and Acts of God are behind the slump - with absolutely no blame being attached to their talented and surprisingly good-looking manager, the truly excellent Butcher of Montevideo.
One last gritty push is required from the men in maroon - and look out for a Churchillian response from "the gaffer" who simply does not know when he is beaten (until someone tells him)
Man City (hiss, boo) sit third - a point behind plucky Northampton.
City are the division's top scorers and are a walking advertisement for the need for Financial Fair Play to be implemented as soon as possible.
A line up which includes Ronaldo, Messi, Thomas Muller and Angel di Maria would normally be expected to p*ss a division like this one - yet young English manager Steve Thompson has contrived to make heavy weather of it - and makes a compelling case for why clubs should buy-in foreign managers - with little command of the language but possessing a fit girlfriend.
One feels that the Man City v Cobblers fixture might decide one of the promotion slots next week.
First though, the Arab billionaire's overpaid playthings face a trip to Yeovil - newly crowned FA Cup winners. Can Thompson hold his nerve? Let's hope not.
Norwich sit 4th on 62 points. I know very little about the team from Carrow Road - other than I hate them and hope they burn in hell spending an eternity suffering from crabs and continuously listening to Eurovision Song Contest entries.
Ruts has come with a strong late challenge but has still to face Birmingham and Rotherham in his final two matches.
That's if the Canaries get past Rochdale tonight in what looks to be a nailed-on home banker. Surely Ruts can't cock it up from such a commanding position?
    Or can he?
Rotherham lie 5th - and could play a major part in deciding who goes up (including themselves).
Stewart Lauder's team are 7 points off the lead - so need a minor miracle to have a tilt at the title. Still, let's not forget that only 2,000 years ago a young Israeli international, J.Christ, managed to turn a loaf of Hovis and a can of tuna into a three course meal for 5,000 - so anything is possible.
No one outside the teams mentioned above is important or has anything remotely interesting about them.

    Regarding the Ramsey deal:
If you look at it in depth.
Ramsey was actually lucky to gain his 91. Ramsey is highly injury prone, and has played less season on season for Arsenal since 2011/2012. Is is quite a risk in my opinion. Arsenal also don't win much and are the 4th best team in the 3rd best league in Europe.
Alderweireld, took time to settle in Spain, but he plays in the top league in Europe, and plays for the top team. He plays for a World Cup quarter final team. Many people believe it was a mistake to leave him out of the Champions league starting line up . He will if he plays rise as high as Ramsey, if Atletico do well. Pizzi will go no further but is a solid enough 88 for now. We don't know Brighton's financial situation but under the new financial rules I doubt he could have got more cash AND better players.
I wouldn't have done that deal but it wasn't unfair to either side and both benefitted either financially , depth of squad or quality of player. So it isn't cheated and people need to move on

    Final Day preview
This is day that every football fan looks forward too (Unless your team is in a relegation scrap!). But this is the day when everyones hard work is payed off. Dreams are made up until the final minutes of the season, hearts can be broken with the last kick of match. Lets have a look at all the key matches from all divisions that can affect thousands of fans lives on Wednesday.
    Divsion 1
    Shorpe (12th) v Blackpool (1st)
    Sheffield United (2nd) v Arsenal (9th)
The premier league will have a new winner engraved onto the title. West Brom, Tottenham, Wolves, Mancester City and Manchester United are the only five teams to have lifted the prestigious title. Blackpool need a point at Shorpe, whilst Sheffield United must beat Arsenal and they need Blackpool to lose.
    Tottenham (3rd) v Plymouth (8th)
    Liverpool (4th) v Middlesbrough (17th)
    Sunderland (14th) v Manchester United (5th)
The race for Champions League football is also extremely tight. One point seperating Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester United. Manchester United will need one of the other two to slip up and win themselves if they want to compete in the Champions League for another season. However they can still qualify should the win this seasons competition.
    Wrexham (18th) v Leeds (13th)
    Everton (10th) v Charlton (16th)
In the relegation fight, Colchester are already confinded to life in Division two. Nottingham Forests bad goal difference also pretty much guarantees that they will be joining them. Charlton, Middlesbrough and Wrexham will fight to avoid being the third team for the drop. Charlton will only be relegation if they lose, and both Middlesbrough and Wrexham win. Wrexham must better Middlesbroughs result to stay us, should all three win then Wrexham need to win by sixmore goals than Middlesbrough.
    Division 2
Newcastle United crowned Champions tonight, and well deserved. Preston bounce straight back from relegation finishing second.
    Barnsley (10th) v Sheffield Wednesday (5th)
    Preston (2nd) v FUlham (6th)
    Bath (16th) v Birmingham City (7th)
    Accrington Stanley (22nd) v Chelsea (8th)
Four teams will dog it our for the remaining two play-off spaces. Only a point seperated all of them, and with each team playing away it is hard to predict which two will finish in the top six. Chelsea is the team that need to win the most, and they should have enought against Accrington Stanley. Will be facinating to see this on the goal feed, I can see all four being in a play-off spot at some point on Wednesday.
    Aston Villa (3rd) v Wolverhampton Wanderers (19th)
    Huddersfield Town (20th) v Newcaster (1st)
    Derby (23rd) v Peterborough United (21st)
Norwich and Derby were relegated to Divison three a few games ago. Four teams are in danger of joining them (Five if you count Gillingham, but would take something amazing for them to go down). Accrington Stanley are the side currently in the drop, and need to get a result against Chelsea. It would be a huge shock if former Premier League winners Wolves were to end up in Division three. Should they lose and the other three pick up one point or more then they will go down. With a Midland Derby away to Villa, im sure they would love to relegate them.
    Division Three
    Wigan (8th) v Crewe (2nd)
    QPR (3rd) v York (22nd)
The race for automatic promotion to Division two is still up for grabs. Due to Notts Countys much better goal difference, they will finish in the top two. QPR must win and need Crewe to lose if they want to leap frog them.
    Bristol City (4th) v Doncaster Rovers (11th)
    Cardiff (5th) v Walsall (20th)
    Fleetwood Town (6th) v Bury (23rd)
    Forest Green Rovers (7th) v Rochdale (12th)
It is so tight at the top of division three. Five clubs currently have the chance to reach the top six and fight for the remaining three places. Wigan and Brighton must win and need the other sides to lose. Forest Green Rovers need to better Fleetwood or Cardiffs result. Bristol City are not mathematically secure in the top six, the only way they will miss the play-offs is if they lose and three of the other clubs win.
    Leicester City (19th) v Blackburn (18th)
    Portsmouth (21st) v Swansea (16th)
Aldershot, Bury and York are already relegated to Division four. Three clubs (Leicester, Walsall and Portsmouth) fight it out to avoid the final relegation spot. Porstmouth must beat Swansea and need either Walsall or for Leicester to lose.
    Division Four
Swindon Town are crowned Champions, whilst Tranmere will join them in division three. Bradford look set to join them unless they lose and Hartlepool win.
    Tranmere (2nd) v Yeovil (7th)
    Oldham (22nd) v Port Vale (8th)
    Reading (9th) v Hartlepool (4th)
Yeovil, Port Vale and Hartlepool compete for the final play-off spot. All three clubs currently sit on 69 points (hehe ). Yeovil will maintain the final spot aslong as they match or better the other two teams results.
No teams in this division need to worry about fighting relegation on Wednesday. Wycombe and Rotherham will be playing in Division five next season.
    Division Five
Newport County have secured the only automatic promotion spot.
    AFC Wimbleon (5th) v Luton (12th)
    Darlington (7th) v Tamworth (6th)
The race for the final play-off spot is between Wimbledon, Tamworth and Darlington. A win for Wimbledon will secure 5th spot. The other two contenders face each other. Darlington must win to reach the play offs and will need Wimbledon to not win. A draw will be enough for Tamworth should Wimbledon lose.
Hope its easy to read and understand. Had a spare hour so thought i'd do a preview.

Some of the shine is taken off as Wolves are unmanaged but I'll not be worrying about that when we're playing our European ties
Can't believe it's only taken me 467 games to get there....!

So happy with my Rotherham lads who have done me proud this season comfortably winning Division 4
It's taken a bit longer to get out of D4 as we've played attacking tactics every game since I took over a couple of years ago but our success proves that it can be done!
We had a slight wobble towards the end of the season but bringing in Berezutsky and Krohn-Delhi steadied the ship, although due to the overly-large squad we are now in debt.
I'm really happy with the squad and reluctant to let anyone go, but will listen to offers for Van Buyten and Bergessio who both seem safe at 88.
There are external offers on both and any amount over the external bid will be considered.

In fairness (not that I am one to talk with my aging stars) it's hard to imagine Raul (35)' date=' Chamakh (29) & Park (32) being "a bit too quick off the mark" It's the only reason I buy a gold membership these days. I mean, winning the World Cup in season 7 (8?) is fun and all but really for me having one is all about trying buy a league win Just out of interest though, how come Stoke, Bury & Sunderland (all non-gold) finished above the 6 gold managers in Div 2 last season? Maybe it is just nothing to do with it all? (except when you lose. The same sort of thing as only noticing when the supermarket queue you're in moves slowly?)
Speaking about buying a win, non-gold member 1, gold member 5. A great win for our boys away at Bristol City. Another storming 2nd half performance and we're back on top

    Blackpool 2-0 Crystal Palace
Blackpool have put a big foot into the Fina of the Europa League after winning the first leg of the semi 2-0 away from home. Fans were surprised with Spicers team selection after eaving two of Blackpools most creative players in Navas and Nani on the bench. The pair have scored 26 goals and assisted in 26 goals in all competitions this season.
Raul Meireles and Borges Willian came into the team from Satursdays win over Liverpool, into a 5-4-1 formation.
    Handanovic (91)
    Zabatela (91) Koscienly (90) Garay (90) Filipe (90) Asamoah (91)
    Willian (91) Tevez (93) Meireles (91) Marchisio (92)
    Eto'o (92)
The decision to give Willian a game worked as the Brazilian opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Claudio Marchisio scored the second goal in the 75th minute, the Italian in good scoring form since his arrival after not scoring all season for Manchester City. In the last 15 minutes Tevez, Marchisio and Willian were subsituted for Vela, Danilo and Taiwo as we sat back to keep the clean sheet.

Jooles my friend better get on to SM quick as there is clearly some sort of glitch in the history - it says you won D1 in season 7 but weirdly it says that you were only the runner-up in the World Cup in season 7...?
To be fair it does say that you have won the World Cup in season 8 but as the season has only started you haven't (yet?) won D1 in season 8.
But like I say there must be a glitch as if the above info is correct then that would mean that you are not the first ever manager to win both D1 title and World Cup in the season...?!

    Some notes/facts
    • Noted down all PL teams wages on March 28th 2013
    • Decided to compare them with todays wages after recent changes
    • 6 Teams have decreased their wages since, 14 teams increased
    • My wages rocketed sky high, and I'm not proud of that
    • Liverpool decreased the most whilst Chelsea increased the most
    • Plymouth and Sheffield United increased quite a lot compared to the rest of the bottom teams

Well I'm away for a stiff drink after watching Rotherham v Brentford!
We go 0-1 down after only 12 minutes and then squander chance after chance, until the 89th minute:
    1-0
    1-1
    2-1
    Rotherham United celebrate the victory!
    Talk about nerve-shredding!
Really chuffed to get through, downside is we had to play Feghouli and Saviola the entire match so they'll really be struggling for fitness when we meet Chesterfield.
But at least we've made it!
Congrats to Chesterfield and commiserations to Brentford and Accrington.

Play-off Semi Final: Chesterfield 2 Accrington Stanley 0

Chesterfield are off to Wembley!! commiserations to Accrington who played their hearts out today. I was actually pretty nervous today as we couldn't beat them in the final game of the season however today was a different proposition.
Captain Courageous Mykhalyk gave us the lead in the 38th minute after a nervy start. Italian hitman Paloschi made up for his horrible performance last week with a brilliant goal to seal the game. Bravo was marvelous and gave us another clean sheet
I thought that we might be made to pay for our lack of finishing prowess on the final game of the season however luckily we had done enough.
Cheers Machine, I'm excited about going to Wembley and hopefully it will help my team financially. Like Rotherham, it's a race against time to get some of my players right for the final but hopefully it pans out for us.
    Good luck Machine!
Onward and upward to a Wembley Final!
