  1. Re: Jamie Vardy Ratings of players in SM are based on the strength of the league. outside the top divisions there are caps for players in those leagues, with the exception of some players who are internationals. English league rating caps: Level 2 (The Championship) : 85 Level 3 (League One) : 80 Level 4 (League Two) : 75 Level 5 (Conference National): 70 Below Level 5 : 65 You Will notice some players in the conference (i.e Darlington) have players rated above the cap. This is because The Conference has never been reviewed. So, Jamie Vardy or anybody else at that level won't get a review until he moves to league one or two (which were reviewed only last August and won't get another until the 2013/14 season). if he moves to the championship in the summer then he may get a review next easter when the league gets its annual review. dont expect a review of him anytime soon, basically.
  2. Re: RvP 95 without CL qualification? well, there's two ways to look at this. If Samuel Eto'o only gets a -1 when russia is done then some might say RvP has a case for a 95 rating. Still, its a different situation, a player at his peak versus one on the way down whose rating is based on Inter winning the CL two years ago. On that basis I dont see why SM would review RvP up knowing that he'll be reviewed down come the middle of next season when Arsenal don't even qualify for the Europa League. It'd be a pointless exercise, though SM actually do reward players performing well in underperforming teams. Otherwise Papiss Cisse wouldnt have been an 89 at Freiburg. There's probably other examples and better ones besides him though. Would SM have given Matt Le Tissier a rating of 90+ when he was playing for lowly Southampton in the 1990's. I would say yes and RvP is better than him. So, I see no reason why he can't be a 95, but he needs to keep up his hot streak to get it, that's for sure.
  3. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues) I have another great riser for you but not until i've signed him next weekend as i'm waiting for his transfer ban to run out. he's got nearly 2000 minutes and he's only rated 74. i'll be there with my bid at 12:01am when his ban runs out thats for sure
  4. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues) Michael Doughty, Queens Park Rangers: 72 ~ 75 (entry level PL rating - currently on loan at Crawley and playing. might get a review in March as he hasn't been on the database long) Jack Compton, Falkirk: 73 ~ 75/76 (on loan at Scottish PL side St Johnstone)
  5. New game set up today and everyone is welcome to join. Game World ID 89839 Based on the English league with 5 divisions. Even big clubs are available - Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs all still waiting for takers. come join
  6. New game setup today and everyone is welcome to join. Game World ID 89839 English league with 5 divisions. Standard setup rules but with the inclusion of two transfer windows. one at the beginning and another in the middle - exactly 20 turns apart so that as soon as a players transfer ban is up then you can sell him. Each window lasts 3 weeks, though I may increase this to 4, atleast for season 1 while people are sorting squads out Choose whichever club you like...even the big ones are available.
  7. Re: SLOVAKIA Thread Oct 2011 is this league ever going to be reviewed? I have about 40 players from the Slovak and Slovenian leagues waiting for there reviews.
  8. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues) i did a search for this guy and he is a 76 rating?
  9. Re: player refuses to sign? hmmm....maybe players wont go from a stronger club to a (much) weaker one then? though most of the ones i signed were from externals. any explanation from any boffs out there?
  10. I have never seen this message before in my life but i just took over a pants team with loads of money for a bit of a giggle and all 22 of the players i tried to sign refused. whats this all about? is there a maximum rating you can sign or something when in the lower divisions now?
  11. Re: SLOVENIA Thread Oct 2011 superb thread. the only thing i would say is that SM could be forgiven for putting leagues outside the top 30 coefficient rankings at the bottom of its priorities. that said, reviews of these leagues is certainly long overdue. nice work here and thanks.
  12. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues)
  13. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues) Florian Jungwirth. Dynamo Dresden player with 1500 minutes almost now. currently a 74 rating. given that a regular starter in 2.Bundesliga is 80 at the lower end and 85 at the top, i think he could easily be in line for a +6 to 80. which makes his 230k fee more of a bargain than it looks. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/jungwirth/profil/spieler_33078.html
  14. Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis 2010 Mbark Boussoufa at Anzhi. can he keep his 89? thanks!
  15. Re: Serie A - Ratings Prediction 2010/2011 (II) ahhh, I see. thanks again.
  16. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues) urghhh....you're joking, i thought hammarby were top division. my bad. apologies from me
  17. Re: Serie A - Ratings Prediction 2010/2011 (II) so is that italy done then? not seen any changes last two days. udinese, lazio and juve didnt get half or even any of the rises some were predicting.
  18. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2011/2012 hey guys, which league will be reviewed first - england or spain? any ideas? i know the database change says england and then spain but germany was done before italy yet italy was listed first :/ it is only important to me cos a game world im in i can only buy players at weekends and ive got a bid in for one english league player and one spanish atm but can only sign one of them until next weekend (both are potential risers). so need to decide which one to cancel and it needs to be the one which will be reviewed last. thanks!!
  19. Re: 60-74 risers (divided into leagues) this guy is currently rated only 70 in the game. 24 starts this season for hammarby....has to be getting a rise when the swedish review comes around in the next month or so? http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/fadi-malke/leistungsdaten/spieler_36328.html I think he'll go to about a 77/78 rating. a lot of first teamers at hammarby are in the 80/82 bracket tho, so maybe he can reach an 80?
  20. i got money for playing an away cup match...when did this happen? i've never had money for playing away in the cup before. woohoo, about time this happened
  21. Re: EPL Ratings does Kolarov really have enough minutes to rise to 90?
  22. Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread fair enough then. hopefully the game has technical difficulties and matches get rescheduled back a week like i've seen happen before, some of my players could do with a rest
  23. Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread looks like the big name arrivals at the cottage have caused the system to go haywire....well, no surprise really, dani alves and philip lahm playing for fulham? i think the game has given up the ghost. sorry fellas, blame me! btw...the system runs game worlds in order of the number of managers that are in them....those with the least managers are run first....apparently it speeds things up.....
  24. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread to be honest i think its a bit unfair to come on here and critcise DP for his work on the portuguese review. it bugs me seeing people coming on here and going "you said he would rise and he didnt!". get out of the blame game, DP is as human as the rest of us and isnt going to get every single prediction right. don't blame him for not getting them all right, its an impossible task in my opinion, especially if you look at how a few of players have risen (or not risen as the case may be). portugal is the 5th best league in europe and it seems SM have failed to consider that. I really dont understand how the rating cap in france is higher for lille and lyon than it is for porto and benfica. as the man said, if someone else can make better sense of the portuguese league than someone that watches it every week then they should give the review a go and then see how they feel when they are expected to explain why so-and-so didnt rise etc. i think DP's work seemed very accurate and i still think its the best review i've seen out of all the league predictions i've had a look at on here. anyway thanks to DP i made some nice cash out of Gaitan, Barbosa and a load of 74-80's so i'm pleased as punch. maybe a few others need to pay a bit more respect to the meticulous nature of the review, it really isnt the guys fault if SM are all of sudden being ultra conservative.
  25. Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread Fulham announce three big name signings: The press officer for FFC is pleased to announce that phillip lahm, dani alves and ever banega will very soon be strutting their stuff at craven cottage. "We have higher ambitions than just a relegation scrap and hopefully this will prove to people that we mean business. We are pleased to see the back of some dead wood signings from the previous regime and those have all been sold in exchange for these three guys sitting here today. Our only regret is seeing Clint Dempsey leaving, he's been in good form, but it's important that the club moves forward and the players coming in superseed the ones that have left for sure." FFC expect the deals to be completed later this afternoon. "Dani will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game, but Philip and Ever wont play until next week as they're suffering from a bit of exhaustion"
