  1. Re: Adem Ljajic - U17 Serbian Star.

Its good that both him and Tosic have signed for Man Utd, always good to have a former team mate around. Also Tosic's early move definatly gives Adem some more game to to develop before he makes the move.

Haha looks like i need to add to my sig "Discovered Adem Ljajuc" haha or not lol:p

  2. Re: U-19 UEFA Championship finals

Great work as ever Borogz. One thing that springs to mind about Ninis is if he's already starred at these championships 2 years ago' date=' and has appeared for the under 21s and full national side, it seems a bit of a backward step for him to play in these championships again. Surely it'd be better for the player to rest up ahead of the new season where he'll probably be a 1st team regular.[/quote']

    thanks:)

I cannot guarrentee that he is in the final squad, he did appear in the latter stages of qualfication which only finished this month so i wouldnt at all be surprised if he did make the final team. In saying that he didnt play much at all for his team this season so i would expect that he would want to play all the matches he could.

    Greece

    Michalis Pavlis

    pavlisM.jpg

Born on 22 September 1989, Pavlis plays as striker and is currently signed to AEK Athens. He made his debut for his club on 3 September 2007 in the second leg of the Champions League Fixture against Sevilla. During his debut he played for 30 minutes during this time he won a pentaly and also made life very difficult for the defenders. He scored his first Super League goal against Veria on January 12th 2008 after coming on as a sub. So far his club career as consisted of 6 sub with 1 goal. His career so far representing his country is a shade more impressive though he has played 15 times for the Greek U-19 team scoring 7 goals. Though during qualification he appearaed in all 6 games and scored 6 goals.

    Nikos Barboudis

    46802_jogador.jpg

Barboudis was born on 6 March 1989, he plays at right back is currently playing at Fostires on loan from AEK Athens. Fostires plays in Gamma Ethniki which is the lowest professional division in Greece it’s basically a 3rd division, any lower it is becomes semi-professional. He is one of the most capped players for the current U-19 Greek side having played 24 games and scored 2 goals. During qualification he appeared in all 6 qualifiers and scored 1 goal.

    Lefteris Matsoukas

This kid plays up front with Pavlis also as a striker. He was born on 7 March 1990 and is currently signed to Olympiacos. He has promoted to the first team from their youth setup and in doing was given his first professional contract by the club. The club moved quickly to sign him on a professional contract as Roma had made enquiries about the player. He made 1 sub appearance for his club this season. During qualification he made 5 appearances and scored 4 goals.

    Sotiris Ninis

    image-157.jpg

Another name on this thread that will be well known amongst forumers. Ninis was born on 3rd April 1990 in Albania. He joined Panathinaikos youth academies in 2004 from feeder club Apollon Symyris. He became an integral part for the youth squad and as such as offered a 5 year professional contract by the club on 22 December 2006. Only 14 days later he made his professional debut at 16 years of age. A month later he rejected a call up to the Albanian U-21 national side. He has since signed a new contract with the club that has a minimum release clause in it of 14 million euro. He has made limited appearances this season 2007/08 as he has been marred by injuries.

Ninis has already played at the last UEFA U-19 championship finals for Greece at only 17 years of age. During that tournament he was seleceted in the U19 names to notes which contained the best eleven players at the tournament. This qualifying campaign he has also played a key role in the success of the side in qualifying for the finals. Again due to injuries though he has only played in the later 3 qualifiers and scored 1 goal.

He was called up on May 16 to make his international debut for Greece against Cyprus. He scored within the first 5 minutes and with a terrific performance was named man of the match. To my surprise though he was left out of the Greek squad that went to Euro 2008. His fine performances at all levels have attracted interest from the usual big clubs in Arsenal, Man Utd, Real Madrid and AC Milan, all of whom have scouted his performances during the U-19 qualfication campaign.

Is on the DB rated 82, which is still a bargain for the potential this kid has.

  4. Re: arsenal players are underrated

As i said on my previous post, whenever i see this type of thread created by a fan it always makes me laugh. And reading more of these respones since my last post has made me laugh even more, their are some classic in there like gerrard is the best cm in the world haha...

  5. Re: arsenal players are underrated

haha i love these posts about how a team is underated. They are always able to make me laugh. With Arsenal being the best team in the world and all they havent won a title in the past few years;) I believe some of their players deserve higher ratings others maybe drop by 1 or 2. But generally they are about right considering they havent won anything.

And we all know rooney is overrated at 96.

  6. Now i have noticed in the last few days that unmanaged teas no longer appear in italics, i believe this has occured in conjunction with the job offers being implemented.

So when you like at the table now it appears as all clubs are managed, which is kind of annoying.

Well it annoys me that i cant tell straight away if a club is managed or unmanaged. Does anyone else feel that way?!! i cannot understand why it this simple feature has been taken away??????

    ITALY

    Alberto Paloschi

    paloschi.jpg

Another player well known on the forum after scoring within 18 seconds of his debut in Serie A with his first touch to grab a win for AC Milan. Born on 4/01/1990 as mentioned he is currently signed to AC Milan, though this season has predominantly played in their youth side. During this season in Serie A he made 7 appearances 6 as a sub racking up 298 minutes and scored 2 goals. There have been a number of rumors about saying he will be loaned out next season instead of being promoted to the first team. Defiantly a star of the future.

During qualifcation he played in 5 out of 6 games and scored 2 goals. Impressive as he is still only 18.

    Matteo Darmian

    103806.jpg

This kid is the captain of the Italian U-19 squad playing in the Heart of the defence. Born on 2/12/1989 he also currently plays for AC Milan. He has played throughout the Italian youth sides. On November 28, 2006 he made is Coppa Italia debut for AC Milan against Brescia replacing Kaladze at half-time. On May 19, 2007 he made his Serie A debut against Udinese. In the 2007-08 season he didn’t make any appearances in the Senior team playing for the AC Milan youth side. I would expect next season he if he doesn’t step up to the Senior squad, to be sold or at least loaned out.

During qualification he made 5 out of 6 appearances.

    Andrea Mazzarani

    andreamazzaranicc5.jpg

This kid plays for Cisco Roma, though he hasn’t had a large amount of attention on him as yet. I am tipping him now for a bright future. Born on 6/11/1989 he plays in centre midfield. He was a key figure in qualification for Italy making 6 appearances and scored 3 goals. Being the highest goal scorer for Italy from midfield.

    Stefano Okaka Chuka

Born to Nigerian parents who later obtained Italian citizenship. He joined the AS Roma youth system in 2004 only a year later on September 29, 2005 made his his first team debut in the UEFA Cup, in doing so he became the youngest footballer to debut in an international competition for an Italian team. At Roma he made a total of 14 Serie A appearances and scored 1 goal. For this past 2007-08 season he was loaned to Serie B side Modena where he made 33 appearances with 17 being subs and scored 7 goals.

During qualifaction he made 5 appearacnes scoring 2 goals.

Born on 29/9/1989 he plays in midfield and is currently signed to Sampdoria. Having previously made his professional debut at Treviso playing four games for the club. He is a noted playmaker with the tag already of the future of Italian football. Appearantly Sampdoria beat Milan, Inter and Roma to the young midfielder. During qualification he made 6 appearances scoring 1 goal.

  8. It has been this way for a few days now and i didnt say another as i thought it would just get fixed but....

It appears on the loaned out players page that all the nationalities of the players is incorrect well the flags anyway for example Marko Marin's flag is French but when you scroll over it, it still says german:confused:

Not a big deal at all i just thought i would point this out.

  9. Re: U-19 UEFA Championship finals

    Hungary

    Krisztián Németh

    5766.jpg

Nemeth already has a reputation on the SM forum as one to watch out for and with good reason. Born on 5/01/1989 plays in the striker role and is currently signed to Liverpool, playing in their reserve side. The striker who originally played for MTK Hungaria, signed a 3 year deal at Anfield. He started to make a name for himself, during the 2006 UEFA U17 tournament in Luxemburg as the star of the Hungary squad. In a recent U19 mini tournament in Cyprus he scored 7 goals in 3 matches.

He made his debut for the Liverpool reserces on the 27th of November 2007 scoring twice in the first half. Nemeth only made nine appearances for the Liverpool reserves since his move as a result of a dislocated shoulder at the beginning of the season, but he did score a number of crucial goals which help his side to secure the Prepier Reserve League North title.

During his time at the club he has already impressed fans with his creativity, technical skill and natural goalscoring instinct. Due to his performances he was award Liverpool fans reserves Player of the Year for the 2007-08 season.

He is yet to make his debut for the first team though, he is expected to make the step up to first team football in the coming season. In May 2008 he received his first call up to the Hungarian Senior national squad but remained an unused substitute in a 1-1 draw against Croatia.

During qualifaction he started the prelimary stage by coming on as a substitute in the first 3 games, in the elite round a started in all 3 games. So all up he made 6 appearances and scored 5 goals.

He is on the DB rated 81

    First info posted fraser mcinnes

    Peter Gulacsi

    profile.jpg

Another liverpool player, Peter came from the same club as Nemeth in MTK Hungaria. He is currently on a loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the loan. Born on 06/05/1990, He also impressed during his appearances in the Hungary U17 team. This keeper had a lot of interest from around europe in his signature but I would suggest due to the connection between MTK Hungaria and Liverpool is why they got him. He got his first call up to the Bulgaria National Squad but as did Nemeth remained an unused substitute. During qualifaction he played in all six games, which is quite impressive as he has only just turned 18 so he is a year younger then the rest of the squad.

  10. Re: Ars4nal_4ever's impressive list of cheap hot prospects/imminent risers...

If you have a third or fourth division side in an English Championship then i hv just given you a gold mine ;)

If your a higher rated club this list will make for some excellent money spinners' date=' hopefully reaching comfortably over £100 million from around a £7million investement [/quote']

A far bit of effort has gone into this post so i will rep for that, but i am just letting you know that its prob not the best idea to say people are going to raise over 100 million from these players as i that could take years to become true if ever.

  11. Re: Best young striker

Herby i am pretty sure no team except for the host country ie South Africa ever gets automatic qualification even if you are the defending champs:confused:

Italy are in Group 8 of Qualfying which includes:

    Bulgaria

    Ireland Republic

    Cyprus

    Georgia

    Montenegro
