  1. Re: Australia World Cup!! I didnt post on this thread when Australia played Iraq, after staying up half the night to watch it i was to dissappointed to lose 1-0 like that..to a fluke goal. Anyway we move on and Australia beat Qatar 3-1! i also stayed up till the 2am kickoff and watched the whole game so didnt get to bed until 4am. But it was all worth it to watch Australia make it to the next round of WC qualifying! Go Australia. And now i get to see Australia v China in a dead rubber next sunday:D
  2. Re: U-19 UEFA Championship finals Germany Dennis Diekmeier This kid who was born on 20/10/1989 is a highly rated Right Back is currently playing for Werder Bremen’s U19 side. He has signed a professional contract with Werder which lasts until 30.06.2009. He is the most expierenced defender in the U19 German team with 14 caps and 3 goals in total. During qualification he played in all 6 games and scored 3 goals. If Germany are to progress in this tournament he will be leading the defence. Not on the DB Dennis Naki Dennis Naki was born on the 9/07/1989. He is currently signed to Bayern Leverkusen. For the 2007/08 season he played in Bayern Leverkusen’s U19 side. Leverkusen have already agreed to loan Naki out for the season to 2. Bundesliga side Osnabrück on loan next season in order to gain first team expierence. Generally an attacking midfielder for his club side he has played more as a forward for the German U19 side. He has a fantastic goal scoring record at international level with 11 appearances for 9 goals. During qualification he played in all 6 qualifiers scoring 5 goals. Defiantly one to watch out for. Not on the DB Manuel Fischer Fischer will be well known to some of you already. Born on 19/09/1989 he is currently signed to VFB Stuttgart. Playing as a striker he made his debut against Barcelona in the Champions League coming on as a sub. He made another 2 appearences for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga both as sub and also managed to score 1 goal. There is a belief amongst personal at Stuttugart that Fischer will follow the path of Kuranyi and Gomez as products of the VFB youth program. He has been described as a modern day goal poacher with a highly sensitive scoring sense bundled together with technical ability, tactical understanding and electrifying pace. In the U19 German squad he is the most capped player with 18 appearances with an impressive 7 goals. During qualifaction he played in all 6 games and scored 3 goals. He is on the DB rated 78 Mario Vrancic Like many footballers these days Mario has a colourful history, being born on 23/05/1989 what is now Croatia but then was Yugoslavia. Having played for both U17 and U19 representing Germany, for some reason I cannot find his nationality on SM is Bosnian. (If all that makes sense!) He currently is signed to Mainz 05, he was widely regard as one of the biggest talents in Germany a few years ago, but hype has quieted down past year or so. Playing in midfield he has made 10 appearances for the U19 side with 1 goal. He is quite a flexible player being able to play as a LB and across the midfield. During qualification he made 5 appearances scoring 1 goal. He is on the DB rated 74 Lars Bender Lars was born on 27/04/1989, and in 2003 was snapped up by TSV 1860 Munich. On the 27 November 2006 he was handed his debut in the 2. Bundesliga. He plays in midfield and can direct the game brilliantly. He has a great passing game combined with his good dribbling skills combine to pose a potent mix. In November 2007 signed a new contract that will keep him there until 2011. This past season he has developed into one the of key players for TSV 1860 Munich with 28 appearences only 1 being as a sub racking up an impressive 2177 minutes, he managed to score 1 goal. For the U19 side he has made 5 appearances. During qualification he played the last 3 qualifiers. He is on the DB rated 83 Sven Bender Is the twin brother of Lars so he was also born on 27/04/08 and guess what club he plays for……..thats right TSV 1860 Munich. Sven was handed his debut on 18th December 2006 in the 2. Bundesliga. Sven is a not a spectactler player, playing as a defensive midfielder its not his job to be. He is the workhorse of any team he is in. He also signed a contract with the that last to 2011. This past season he pushed for a first team spot making 27 appearances with 10 as a sub racking up 1655 minutes and managing 1 goal. For the German U19 side he has made 6 appearances scoring 1 goal, during qualification he played in the final 3 games and scored 1 goal. He is on the DB rated 82
  3. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... it depends on whether you need a LB/RB and who your direct replact is for iniesta. I would suggest no.

  5. Re: U-19 UEFA Championship finals The two groups have been drawn: Group A Bulgaria Hungary Germany Spain Group B Czech Republic England Greece Italy Some interesting match up there both groups really anyone could get through.
  6. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... vargas was one of the best LB in the Serie A last season and will increase more in the future, he is worth it I have a question....I have ronaldinho and was offered Fabergas now i instantly accepted that offer but i was wondering if people would actually think it will go through or will the chairman stop this one? considering ronaldinho value is like 26 and fab is like 40.
  7. Re: U-19 UEFA Championship finals I have now completed the list of players from England:) Other countries players will be posted about in the coming days.
  8. Re: Job Offers I think this is a fantastic addition the the SM game, it is fantastic to see the element brought in 1. to reflect real life and 2. to stop cheats grabbing whole teams.
  9. NOTE: I have mentioned this player in my U19 UEFA Championship thread, and his name has been mentioned in passing on other posts, i felt he has great potential and hence deserved his own thread. Krystian Pearce Pearce who was born on 5/5/90 in Birmingham joined Birming City’s Academy when he was only 10 years old. He is an imposing centre-half, who was arguably England’s best player during the last U17 World Cup. He also played a vital role in the qualification of England during the 2007 UEFA U17 Championship that enabled qualification to the U17 World Cup. It was in September 2007 that he stepped up to the U19 England team even though he is a year younger. He has made his club debut while on loan to Notts County on 17 November 2007. Originally a striker he has been converted to play in defence. He was captain of the Under 18 side which reached the quarter final of the FA Youth Cup. In May 2008 he signed a new two year contract with Birmingham, this was given in recognition of his performances whilst on loan and his potential to develop into a first team regular. He is good in the air, and has the pace and composer that would be more seen in a striker. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet and does not lack confidence. He is on the DB rated only 70 worth 10K, he is a star buy for a future england defender, particulary as Birmingham City were relegated I am sure that that he will get some first team action for them the coming season.
  10. Re: Porto thrown out of Champions league 2008/09 season i know the difference. But even trying is against the ethics of the game.
  11. Re: U-19 UEFA Championship finals NOTE: These players mentioned here may not be in the final squad for their respective teams for whatever reason eg age, injury but these players did play a key part in the qualification of their side to the final tournament. England Jason Steele A bright future is forecast for this kid, originally from Newton Aycliffe. Born on 18/8/90 standing at 6ft 3ins, Jason currently plays for Middlesbrough. He is a highly regarded goalkeeper who excels in most departments, particularly his distribution. After making his debut against China in April 2006, the Middlesbrough stopper played ten times at U17 level, including all five European Championship games. Went to the U17 World Cup in Korea this summer but didn’t play due to injury and Alex Smithies’ fine form. He and was called into the U19 squad in September 2007 just a month after celebrating his 17th Birthday Jason joined Middlesbrough at the age of 13 from Newton Aycliffe sports club. Jason was a regular for his club's Academy side last year, even making the step-up to the reserve side. Made the England number one shirt his own last year, conceding just four goals in five European Championship games. At his school team he played centre midfield . Due to his progress he has been awarded with a two year professional contract on his 17th Birthday. During qualification he appeared in 5 out of the 6 games. Currently not on DB James Henry Born on 10/6/89, He is a quick skillful winger who turned down interest from Chelsea to join Readings Academy during 2005. This kid is a strange case having played for both England and Scotland, with actually playing against England at U16 level. Well the important thing now is it looks as though he has settled on England. He made is club debut for Reading against Liverpool in the League Cup at the end of September with displayed some impressive qualities. He is a right winger but also can play in centre midfield. He has risen through Reading’s youth academy and signed his first professional contract in June 2006. He was lent on loan to Nottingham Forest to gain some first team expierence during the 2006-07 season, but returned after only 3 weeks after not really making an impact there, with only making on late substitute appearance. At the beginning of November 2007 he was loaned to Bournemouth for 2 months. He had a fanatasic first game for the club scoring two goals in a 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers. He managed to score a total of 3 goals during 12 appearances at Bournemouth. He recently signed a contract extension with Reading to July 2010. Made 5 appearences during qualification and scored 2 goals. He plays in central midfuled but can also play on the left wing. This past season he has featured regularly for Arsenal’s U18 and Reserve teams. In September 2007 he signed a professional contract. He made his first team debut for Arsenal on October 31st 2007 when he started a League Cup game against Sheffield United. He is a versatile player that has a fine left foot. 19. Re: Giovani Dos Santos has signed for Tottenham I think he has made a massive step forward by leaving Barca but a two steps back signing for Spurs. Though it will all depend on how much game time a gets he has a decent coach who can see his potential so hopefully he gets some game time.

  23. Re: Aiden McGeady Rep Of Ireland and Celtic I agree with this, i believe that he should be defiantly rated a 91, is by far the best player at Celtic winnng the player of the season award is no small feat even if it is in the Scottish League. He should have risen to 91 last changes but with SM being conservative as they are they didnt should rise next time;)
