I've been playing in a custom Game World for a few seasons. The set-up had very rich economy and otherwise pretty standard rules. Suddenly, its owner leaves right before the start of a new season, disallowing buying any players rated over 70 and introducing every possible prohibitive rule (such as no buying from external/unmanaged clubs, etc.). Entry has also been set to private application. Effectively this means the death of the Game World, as managers will be sacked after 10 days of inactivity / for bottom 3 finish, and there will be no one to replace them. Besides, some managers will certainly become frustrated by the rules (a newspaper article from someone has already appeared).
My question is, is that an inherent risk of all custom game worlds? Should all managers take into account that their work may be ruined by such actions if they join a custom game world? And is there any way to reverse this (even though I don't think that any rules have been broken officially)?
