  1. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Another "fantastic" Spurs performance. Jog on, Sherwood; take Naughton & Bentaleb with you on your way out
  2. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Good to see an English man get a chance, doesnt happen enough these days. Captain of a title winning side, knows the game, the language & the clubs heritage, best of luck to him. He wanted the job, now he's got it, so up to him to prove it is the right choice, along with the support of the players and the fans Think he might not get away with yesterday's formation against to top teams but I'm sure he knows that already!
  3. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Sherwood confirmed as manager until end of 14/15 season by all accounts
  4. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Seems like a regular theme. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but: Jol went to levy with players HE wanted to improve the side, want supported. Same happened to Harry. Same to AVB. Suggests to me the "behind the scenes" lack of communication & relationships is more about levy than our managers. But that's how football clubs seem to run these days, like a business... A world notoriously cutthroat in process & decision making. AVB didn't do himself many favours towards the end on the pitch and I think he's man enough & clever enough to adapt his future tactical approaches, to become a very successful manager. But maybe levy needs to start adapting his future approaches towards managers and realise the most successful sides are built on stability, sympathy & perseverance, and that his relationship with our managers needs to involved much more than just what makes up the balance sheet.
  5. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Woeful. That in itself is a reason why Hoddle shouldn't get the job. 5 at the back? Plus that's a side that, as per our current situation, lacks creativity. Even with Eriksen in there.... We need to find a way to play Townsend, Lennon & Eriksen together which I don't think is hard. I feel sorry for Townsend, great early season form, great for England, then gets dumped to our EL team. Nice one gaffer!
  6. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Better not appoint Hoddle
  7. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread It was bound to happen, shame as success is built on stability in my opinion but the modern era of football demands not only immediate success, but style also. Dread to think who we will be linked with, not many available managers out there who are good.
  8. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Agreed Ray1981, credit should be given to Liverpool as they did a great job today. Suarez for Liverpool is like what Bale was for us last season; unplayable
  9. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Some places I've read suggest he's gone, probably b0ll0cks but wouldn't be surprised. Too early to write the season off? Will be if we have to get a new manager.
  10. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Tough result to take today, but for whatever reason we didn't seem up for it & you're always putting yourself up against it when you gift them a chance after 15 seconds. I didn't think we were 6-0 bad but the scoreline doesn't lie. Once again we kept the ball well at times but, once again did naff all clear cut with it. City got the ball from back to front a lot quicker to make use of the space that can create, along with their excellent movement. But despite the result, still only 2 points off top 4, but if actually want a chance of finishing there, we will need to find much better performances
  11. Re: Soccer Manager: The app is currently unreachable Same for me. Some game worlds haven't updated with last night's games either
