Re: European Nations Transfer/Match Report Thread

    !!FORZA MILAN!!

The Second season gets underway in 2 days, and Milan manager Sam Wainwright has made the time to talk with us...
and a Unlikely return from Dougal McDougall
Dougal: Well Sam, are you looking forward to the new season and what are your main aims?
Sam: First of all, welcome back Dougal we've bloody miss you. I am looking forward to the new season no doubt about it, It will be tougher, it will be rougher and you can bet your bottom dollar it'll be one heck of a season. I think our main aims are to get our second promotion in 2 seasons, so we can get up to the top flight with the best of them. Still, If we don't make it, I'd love for us to get the top 4 spot at least.
Dougal: Well Good luck to you in it. In the transfer market it's been relatively quiet for you so far, is this likely to change?
Sam: Well we bought in Monnet-Paquet and Albohassan Jafari to strengthen the youth, but I'm not so sure what position we need to fill, there has been alot of speculation that Kaka could well be on the move, this is partially true, we were quizzing a few managers about certain Player Exchanges and I feel that is the only way he will be going anywhere.
Dougal: Ah reet, You've been in the management business for an awful long time, is there anybody you respect? highly? as a manager and somewhat a friend?
Sam: Mark Farine and Mitu Ahmed. Definately. Us three have known each other a long time and have got on extremely well, i'd go as far to say as though i treat them like brothers, they are true friends of mine, despite Mitu losing it a bit with his Arsenal team, they are fantastic managers.
Dougal: Finally, whats this I hear about the Ezequial Garay situation?
Sam: Haha, well it's just a tell tale isn't it. Yep, we were going to bid again for Garay Bla bla bla. It isn't true of course, I haven't been in touch with the player, the team or his agent to be honest and I have no intention to do so either.
Dougal: Ok Sam, thank you very much.
Sam: Pleasure to see you after such a long abscence mate.

Albolhassan Jafari who was signed for a fee of £6,000,000 from Sepahan said: "I know me and Kevin will have to wait till we get first team opportunities, but when you join a club like Milan, Waiting is the last thing on your mind."

AC have loaned out Yoann Gourcuff & Daniel Bonera to Blackburn Rovers this week. Gourcuff who went on loan to Fiorentina last season said: "I don't mind going on loan, I can understand it, the manager wants me to play frequently but I am not good enough for the first team, I can accept that, I can't wait to play in England but I have heard it is cold so I am worried."

Dmytro Chyhrynskyi, who has gone on loan to PSV Eindhoven is said to be very happy with the fact he will get first team action. Dmytro said: "I played for Milan last season and this season I get to play in Holland, it is very good time for me. I love my career."

Milan travel to the Friuli in the first game of the season to take on Division 3 champions Udinese.

Milan will be without Brazilian sensation Ricardo Kaka for the game and assistant manager Gianfranco Zola said: "It's a big blow, but we have replacements."

Sorry about the long delay guys but I'm finding it really hard to make ones different to my standard ones. Here they are for now but i understand fully if you would like it changed or choose not to use it.

    Birmingham City:

I'll just apologize again for the first two because I know they aren't that great. The truth is I can only really make the standard type like the Birmingham one. So I won't be offended if you chose not to use it, or would like it edited.

Ok here we go. Could take a while. I presume that your talking about texas hold'em poker.
So you are dealt 2 cards and people put in a bet on how good they think that there cards are, or could be. Then 3 cards are dealt, you bet again, then another card is dealt, you bet, the fifth (last) card is dealt and you bet one last time before people reveal their hands and any combinations.
    Betting Terms
Check- Make no bet, only available when nobody else has betted/you have betted the same amount as the highest better
    Call/Match- Match the highest bet
Fold- Drop out of the current hand. Use when you either do not have a good hand or do not want to bet what is being proposed.
    Different Hands
These are all in order from worst to best. As a rule the most common hands are the worst, and if there are two players with the same hand the higher cards win.

Today We Will Focus On Group A,
    -------
    Group A
    Chelsea
    Real Madrid
    Hertha Berlin
    Pachuca
    CHELSEA

    CHELSEA
    :Last Seasons Perfromences:
Champions Of England Last Season & It Looked That Way Pretty Much From The Off, They Acumilated 81 Points Scored 80, Conceded 38 & Won The Premier League By 10 Points, Finished The Campaign As The Top Scorers & Had The Best Defensive Record.
However In The Champions League They Never Really Got Going & Despite Earning Qualifycation For The Knock-Out Stage A Game In Advance, They Were Dumped Out To The Eventual Winners Boca Juniors By 3 Goals To 1 @ Stamford Bridge.
    :Squad Hopefulls:
here Hope This Season Lies With Last Years Top Goal Scorer At The Club Didier Drogba, Last Season He Scored Just 14 Goals In 32 Starts & 1 Sub Appearence But This Was Due To Been Used As A Target Man Man For On-Coming Midfielders Were He Assisted a Very Credible 21 Assists.
    :New Signings:
Chelsea Have Not Made Any Signings Of Credible Note To Strenghten There First 11 This Season, However At The End Of Last Season They Added Egyptian Attacking Midfielder Mohamed Aboutraika, Who Impressed In His 3 Games At The End Of The English Season Scoring 1 Goal & Assisting a Further 2.
    :Conclusion:
If Chelsea Are Goining To Sucseed In This Years Competition They Need Other Players Scoring More Goals Else I Feel They Will Be Found Out At Some Stage.
    ------------
    REAL MADRID

    REAL MADRID
    :Last Seasons Performences:
Last Season Real Madrid Finshed 3rd In la Liga Finishing Behind Both Valencia & Barcelona, They Acumilated 74 Points, Scoring 87 & Conceding 49.
In The Champions League They Won There Opening 3 Fixtures, But Then Went Down To Toulouse & Then Internazionale Away By 6 Goals To Zero.. They Thaught They Had Qualifyied Before They Actually Had It Seemed & It Took A Last Day Victory Away At A Very Inform CSKA Moskva Side Managed By Adamski To Seal There Passage Into The Knock-Out Phase.
You Might Have Thaught They Would Have Learned From There Mistakes & Been Less Complacend Heading To Glasgow & Park Head In The First Knock-Out Round But Instead They Found Themselfs 4-0 Down After 50 Minutes & From There It Was Adios.
    :Squad Hopefulls:
Fernando Torres Is The Clubs Goal Scorer & With Lionel Messi & Robinho Supplying His With The Goals Aswell As Getting Involved Themselfs There Is A Clear Intent Going Forward From This Team, In Midfield Steven Gerrard Who Dident Settle In Last Season With The Spanish Side & Maywell Be Asked To Player In His Less Prefared Posisition On The Right Side Of Midfield May Find It Difficult & Thus Bring An Unbalanced Team At Times.
    :New Signings:
Daniel Guiza Was Brought In From Brazilan Outfit Cruzeiro & Has Made 3 Appearences, So Far This Season All As Substitutions.
Will Play 2nd Fiddle To Torres As Central Striker But A Handy Goal Scorer To Have On The Bench If He Can Settle In @ Madrid.
    :Conclusion:
As Always Real Are An Attacking Team, Often Leaving Themselfs Open To Conceding Goals, After Not Winning Last Years La Liga That May Be A Priority In The Early Stages Of The Champions League But With Been In Such A Tough Group If There Not Carfull To Also Concentrate On World Matches Could Find Themselfs Saying Adios Sooner Than Exspected Once Again.
    ------------
    HERTHA BERLIN

    HERTHA BERLIN
    :Last Seasons Performences:
Finishsed a Very Credible 3rd Place In The Bundesliga, They Acumilated 81 Points, Scored 80 & Conceded 43.
    :Squad Hopefulls:
Dirnei Renato In Midfield & Marko Pantelic As Striker. Thats If They Had A Hope In This Group In The First Place.
    :New Signings:
They Have Added 3 New Players, 3 Defensive Players, Which Will Give Them More Squad Dept For Competing In Extra Competition This Season.
    :Conclusion:
Havent a Hope, Just Havent Got Enough Goals In Them To Get Out Ofa Group Like This & Have Only Won 1 Game From 4 In This Seasons Bundesliga.
    ------------
    PACHUCA

    PACHUCA
    :Last Seasons Performences:
Finished 2nd In American League & Only Enter This Years Competition Due To Shels (Yes Me) Finding A Problim With Placements For Champions League Qualifycation For This Season, With Boca Winning Last Years Competition They Had Taken Pachuca's Place Domesticaly & Somehow St Etienne Found Them Selfs Qualifying For Finishing In 4th Spot In France Despite Lyonais Losing The Champions League Final To Boca..
After a Short Debate/Rant SM Found Favor With My Argument & Here They Are.
Last Season They Acumilated 67 Points, Scoring 65 & Conceding 56.
They Also Participated In The World Shield Were They Got To Round 3 Beating
Fiorentina 3-1 In Mexico, Beating Benfica 1-0 In Lisbon & Then Losing To The Eventual Finalists Feyenoord Losing 2-0 In Rotterdam.
    :Squad Hopefulls:
Have A Strong Squad But Juan Cacho Is There Main Player That They Will Look To Too Bring The Team Goals & So Far This Seasons Thats What He's Done.
    :New Signings:
No1 Of Note But Have Broght In 2 Good Players For Extra Squad Debt Aswell As Spanaird Jose Mari.
    :Conclusion:
Good Squad of Players, Could Challange For A Place In The Next Round For Sure.

Re: Gold Championship 13 News, Transfers and Match Reports!

    BLACKPOOL F.C NEWS

Alves Edmundo completed his move to Blackpool football club last night. Edmundo who was Transfer listed by Spanish team Palmeiras was apparently delighted to come to England, he claimed: "Well, after being ****** about by the manager at Palmeiras, I wanted to leave. 4 times we had a deal accepted with Blackpool and 3 times it was halted. It's a shame that I had to leave like that as I enjoyed my time there but I got fed up and wanted a new career."
Edmundo, who is 37 has been bought in obviously for experience, Manager Sam Wainwright said: "I hope Edmundo finishes his career here with us, I think we can get another 3 seasons out of him and I reckon he can give a lot for the club these next few seasons, and I look forward to how much."
Bio: Notorious former Brazil striker often referred to as 'The Animal', reflecting both his penchant for violence on the pitch and colourful antics off it. His catalogue of misdemeanours include incarceration for multiple vehicular homicide (he was allowed out to play football at weekends) and attracting the consternation of animal rights activists by getting a monkey inebriated at a children's party (although the kids apparently thought it was hilarious).
Edmundo started his career in 1990 at Vasco De Gama. He scored 82 goals in 113 games for the Brazilian Giants. He then moved to Palmeiras and scored a total of 34 goals in 88 games.
Now Blackpool want to see that attacking flair in the Championship. One fan said: "I can't wait for him to put on our shirt, he is awesome yuh? good luck to him an all that dude he gunna rock."

    Grrrr...

Blackpool also last night, signed Pedro Celestino from Estrela da Amadora. The deal was a Player Exchange for Stephen McPhee.
Manager Sam Wainwright said: "He is our first youth who will go up through the ranks and I can't wait to see how he turns out."

The 3rd and final signing of the night was Ankaraspor whizzkid Dermikol Ugur, on a free contract. Ugur claimed: "It's great to get a chance to play in England and cannot wait to start my first game, I really look forward to playing with Klasnic and Edmundo it will be an honour."
Manager Sam Wainwright said: "What a kid he is, I'm glad we snapped him up and I KNOW he will turn into one of the best full backs in the world."

    Ugur...Signed

Baseball Furie reacted to Insider in Every player has a story
This thread is for scouting complete teams, to prove that every single player has a story. Now, we don't want Arsenal's or Barce's here, teams that people need to know more about.
Ok, there are two reasons for this thread.
    1. With all the new standard setups, we need to learn more about unknown teams from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Australia, Holland, Germany, France, WHOEVER. I know after doing this first team, I'm looking for a Banfield.
    2. All the pretender scouts who have been roaming on here and just claiming to have found one player or whatever, come prove your worth. It takes some serious skill to field a short description about every player. I'd love to see MIR post something about Romanian clubs, anyone about clubs they know. I'm lacking a LOT of football knowledge, same for everyone here. So everyone, take a shot. Let's see who the real scouts are.
    So here's team #1.
    Banfield.
    #1. Cristian Luchetti
    Keeper
    Argie
    29 years old
    Rated 88
    Rating Should be : 88 or 89
    Squad Status : Idol
In 2005, Luchetti returned to the squad where he made it big. After single season stints with Santos (Mexico) and Racing (Argentina), he knew Banfield was the place for him. 88 appearances later, he is the Rogerio Ceni of Argentina, scoring 11 goals.
He has featured in all 6 matches in the new clausura, adding another 2 goals to his name. Banfield are one of the emerging clubs in Argentina, he is there leader.
    #2. Diego Herner
    Centre Back
    Argie
    24 years old
    Rated 88
    Rating Should be : 88
Squad Status : First choice defender
He was a big signing in 2007 from Gimnasia, where he started his career. The 6’1 defender has made a name for himself winning aireal challenges. In his 6 seasons a Gimnasia, he featured in 117 matches, scoring 5 times.
He is now part of a Banfield defense which is very solid, having three defenders who have played every single match. He has not scored this season, but had a goal in the Apertuna.
    #3. Ariel Broggi
    Left Back
    Argie
    25 years old
    Rated 88
    Should be : 88
Squad Status : First Choice defender
After 100 matches exactly, Velez Sarsfield decided in 2005 that he was no longer necessary. Marcelo Bustamante was playing very well, and Broggi was expendable. He played very little from 2005 to 2007 under a new coach. Banfield, who were looking to improve after a terrible 2007 Clausura, signed him and Herner to shore up the back. The 5’7 defender helped, as they finished 3rd in the Apertuna.
He is one of three defenders who have played every minute in the Clausura, 6 games in. Has yet to score, but that’s not why he’s there.
    #4. Julio Barraza
    Right Back
    Argie
    28 years old
    Rated : 86
    Should Be : 86/85
    Squad Status : Semi Regular
Julio Barraza is a synonym for Banfield. He has featured for the club since 2001. Has been a regular, until the arrival of younger legs like Diego Herner and now Martin Rodriguez. He is slowly losing his job, which is sad to say because he has 120 appearances for Banfield in his career.
In the Clausura, he has started twice, and featured as a substitute a further two times. However, the manager seems to prefer the younger Rodriguez and Galarza.
    #5. Daniel Quinteros
    Holding Midfielder
    Argie
    32 years old
    Rated : 87
    Should Be : 87
    Squad Status : Leader
Daniel Quinteros is a leader of this squad. His experience is very valuable. He started his career in 1996 for Rosario Central, featuring 60 times before having been sold to Independiente in 2003. 28 games later, he was sold to Club Libertad of Paraguay in 2004. Another decent season and Lanus came knocking. He only lasted 13 matches there before club Germinal Beerschot or Belgium came knocking. He never made it in Europe, playing just 8 matches.
That’s where Banfield come in. Another signing in the summer of ’07 (we can see how they got better from ’07 to ’08), Quinteros has played 30 matches since then. This season’s Clausura has seen him start 5 matches, often being a late substitute. His legs aren’t as good as before, but he is still valuable to his squad.
    #6. Javier Sanguinetti
    Centre Back
    Argie
    37 years old
    Rated : 84
    Should Be : 80
    Squad Status : Coach
Sanguinetti is Banfield’s history. He has the record for most apps, with oveer 450. Other than one season at Racing, all his career was spent at Banfield. He stayed for the relegation and helped them climb back up.
Admired by all teammates, Sanguinetti is more of a coach now. He hasn’t played yet, and isn’t expected to feature much. He hasn’t retired though, don’t get me wrong.
    #7. Jairo Patino
    Right Midfielder
    Columbian
29 years old, soon to be 30
    Rated : 88
    Should be : 88 or 89
    Squad Status : First Choice
Patino is another experienced player who has capped 12 times for Columbia and has 4 goals to his name. He started his career in Columbia for Huila, Pasto and Cali before transferring to Newell’s in 2003. Good start in Argentina, 31 apps and 6 goals in his first season. River Plate then came knocking in 2004, where he played 37 matches in two seasons. Crystal Palace, then in the Prem, made a 2.78 million pound offer, which was rejected.
He then left in 2006, going back home for Nacional. But he missed Argentina. Another buy in 2007, he has played pretty much every match for Banfield since. He isn’t scoring as much as in his prime for River and Velez, but he is still a key contributor.
In this season’s Clausura, he has played every match, but is stilll looking for his first goal.
    #8. Javier Villarreal
    Central Midfielder
    Argie
    29 years old
    Rated : 87
    Should Be : 87 or 88
    Squad Status : First choice
You may remember him as a super hyped up player at Boca Juniors. Transferred to Switzerland in 3004, where he failed miserably for Grasshoppers. Never found his form until 2006, when he lead Libertad to the Paraguayan league title. He was bought in the summer of 2007. He has played over 30 matches for Banfield since then, scoring once.
He is more of a defensive midfielder. Has started 5 games out of 6, and subbed in the other.
    #9. Nicolas Pavlovich
    Striker
    Argie
    30 years old
    Rated : 87
    Should be : 87
    Squad Status : Regular
Got off to a tremendous start for Newells, scoring 19 in 72 over a 4 year span (98-02). After a short stint at Racing, he decided Russia was the way to go. He was a star signing for Saturn Moskva in 2003, scoring 9 times in two years. It was a disappointment. The, Kaiserslautern of Germany declared interest, finally signing him in 2005. 6 apps and no goals later, he’s out of Europe. Morelia of Mexico swooped him up, but he didn’t last any longer there.
In 2007, Banfield picked him up. He had trouble adapting early, playing only 10 games in the Apertuna. This season, the Clausura is showing what he’s made of. Having started 4 and appearing as a sub in the other 2, he has knocked in 2 goals and has established himself as a regular. Keep going like this and he could hit 88.
    #10. Andres Diaz
    Right Mid
    Argie
    25 years old
    Rated : 84
    Should be : 85
Squad Status : Loanee getting some games in
You may remember him from the transfer that send Angel Di Maria to Benfica. He was the other part of it. After 73 games at Rosario, he was sent to Benfica with Di Maria for 6 million Euro. Never even got a look at Benfica, featuring only once before being sent on loan for the ’08 Clausura.
Has started 4 matches, often being subbed out. We havn’t seen him play much, so the jury is still out on him.
    #12. Christian Garcia
Not on DB, never has played.
    #13. Juan Carrica
Not on DB, never has played.
    #14. Jeronimo Barrales
    Striker
    Argie
    22 years old
    Rated : 85
    Should Be : 85
    Squad Status : Young Gun
You may remember him from a previous post of mine. He has only just started last season, where he established himself with a hat trick in a 3-0 win over I believe it was San Lorenzo. He had 30 apps in 2007, scoring 4 times. Was rated 80, SM fixed that.
Has had trouble with injuries this season, featuring only 4 times, all as a sub to test him out. He’ll stay at 85 for now, but definatly a dangerous player to keep an eye for.
    #15. Mauricio Pedano
    Defensive Mid
    Argie
    20 years old
    Rated : 73
    Should be : 73
    Squad Status : Reserve
Hasn’t played this season. Had four apps in the ’07 Clausura, mostly 90th minute subs. He’s still training with the youth.
    #16. Luciano Civelli
    Left Wing
    Argie
    21 years old
    Rated : 86
    Should Be : 88
    Squad Status : Key player
Renato Civelli, of Marseille fame, is his older brother. This player is a certainty to try his luck in Europe. Broke into the Banfield squad at 19 and hasn’t let go. Had 34 apps and a goal before this season, but he has really shown his worth now.
He started 5 games this season and subbed in the other, and he has 2 goals. Very much in the same mold as a certain Andres Guardado. His position will change to LM/LB though. He is a player to get, could certainly follow Renato’s footsteps.
    #18. Nilo Carretero
    Left Midfielder
    Argie
    22 years old
    Rated : 69
    Should be : 76
    Squad Status : Reserve
Interesting player this one. Broke into the C Division (3rd league) in 2006, and is now playing amongst the Banfield squad. He’s known for speed and heart.
His ascent has been amazing, and the Banfield manager has predicted an « Explosion » into the first team in the next 6 months. He got his start with 45 minutes against Estudiantes last week, though it was a loss. He is currently losing a battle with Laso for playing time, but still is to keep an eye on.
    #19. Diego Galeano
    Striker
    Argie
    22 years old
    Rated : 68
    Should Be : 75
    Squad Status : Filler
The tiny striker has featured three times, twice as a sub in the Apertuna, and once as a sub in the Clausura. Played once at LB, once at CM and once as a striker, where he played best. He is always on the bench this season, which is a very good sign. It’s his first year in the Primera.
    #20. Dario Cvitanich
    Striker
Argie / Croatian (Has yet to decide, Croatia wants him)
    23 years old
    Rated : 89
    Should Be : 89/90
    Squad Status : Star
There’s a reason Croatia wants him. He has been with one club only, since 2003. He has played 75 times, scoring 24 before the Clausura. He has declared that he would play for Croatia if he was picked. He also would like to try his luck in Europe. Croatia perhaps?
He has started all 6 this season, scoring 4 times. He is the star of this team.
    #21. Marcos Galarza

Though he’s just 23, he has played 105 times for Banfield. He has also played for Argentina in the Pan-Am Games as a U20 International. He is the 4th defender most of the time. Has started 4 times this season, and is involved in a battle with Rodriguez for that spot. If he loses, he’ll transfer and keep playing somewhere else. Very talented player.
    #22. Pablo Santillo
    Keeper
    Argie
    28 years old
    Rated : 78
    Should be : 78
    Squad Status : Backup
Hasn’t played in forever due to the spectacular for of Luchetti. He’s used to it, and probably will just keep that role.
    #24. Martin Rodriguez
    Right Back
    Uruguayan
    23 years old
    Rated : 84
    Should Be : 85
Squad Status : On the brink…
This player just transferred this season from River Plate Montevideo. Started two of 6, which is good for a defender who hasn’t gotten used to a new country. Trying to steal the Right Back spot from Sanguinetti and Galarza, and it may just work. Jury’s still out.
    #26. Fabian Santana
    Central Midfielder
    Argie
    22 years old
    Rated : 85
    Should be : 85
    Squad Status : Sub
Another who has played all his life for Banfield. 70 apps for a 22 year old is good, but his spot isnt safe. Lots of youth are coming through the system, and he’s only started a single match this season. Scored, though.
    #28. Jose Devaca
    Central Defender
    Paraguayan
    25 years old
    Rated : 87
    Should be : 88
Squad Status : First Choice defender
He has moved throughout his career from Paraguay to Argentina back to Paraguay. He has never played more than one season in a row with a club before.
His greatest moment so far in his career is his Silver medal in Athens with Paraguay.
He is the third defender who has started all seven matches so far. He should be 88 like the other two.
    #32. Maxi Laso
    Central Midfielder
    Argie
    20 years old
    Rated 76
    Should be rated : 84
    Squad Status : Young star
The 20 year old came out for no where to claim a spot in the squad. He was a substitute for the first few matches until he forced the manager to start him. In all, he has 4 subs and 3 starts. He has scored twice in those four matches and is more of a regular that even Barrales.
He is a must buy in every setup.

Blackpool Football Club, this season, are aiming for top flight football in the Premiership. Manager Sam Wainwright, In an in-depth interview told us: "I don't care how we do it, whether we win automatic promotion or win the play-off's, that is our aim for the season. I think if we focus on that top spot, we can get there, and then comes the big time. We won't get too far ahead of ourselves as there are a few teams who are better than us in the league so we need to get past them first."
Blackpool start their season off at home against Sean Willis' Plymouth Argyle on March 29th. Wainwright continued: "I've been watching their movements in the Transfer front and the only player that worries me is Javier Portillo, it seem's he has added to his youth more than focusing on getting up in the big time."
When questioned on the signings Blackpool have made, Sam said: "Well this season, we have gone for first teamers, I think soon as some of the listed players leave, we will bring in some youth into the team, I brought Taylor but it isn't enough yet."

Frank Baumann last night joined Blackpool F.C for a total of £2,700,000. It's said that Managers Sam Wainwright and Mitu "Pocoyo" Ahmed are great friends and thats what made this deal. Mitu claimed: "Baumann wasn't in my plans so I told him to jog on, I asked Sam if he was interested and they showed interest so it just happened, I wish him luck and Blackpool luck but they don't need it as they have a better team than I do."
Baumann claimed: "It is great to play outside of Germany, I thought everywhere would be horrible compared to Germany and when I arrived in Blackpool, I wasn't wrong."
Manager Sam Wainwright had this to say: "Frank is our 5th Proper signing this season, I think it will be the last one for a while too, we are running low on funds now and I hope we have used the funds wisely. All we can do is wait for the season to pan out to see if it all paid off."
Miguel Carlos Saleiro will join Blackpool tomorrow from Sporting Lisbon. Lisbon manager Tom Sinar is another good friend of Wainwright's and had this to say: "Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I like Cookies Blaaaaaaa."

Correct me if i am wrong but i think all the top 4 every season go out and try to win everything they enter ' date='also correct me again if i am wrong but every manager in the Premiership try to do the latter .
[b']we strengthen all the weak sections in our team.
    [/b]
Again whats the point your trying to make here ' date='all players need replacing and its not just because like the two above their ages ,you still buy players ever year like everyone else to strengthen all the weak sections in their team.
Also no ones even questioned the two youngsters ,i can assure you most knowledgable football fans knew how good they both were before you bought them hence the price tag paid .
As for expectations I dont think they have even crossed them ,maybe its some United fans that didnt realise what they were getting but i can assure you it was money well spent .
You can miss who you like because youve still missed the whole picture but i will put you straight shortly .

    Atletico Madrid Hire Friel

Early Saturday morning Atletio Madrid and Scotsman Friel signed a contract which will see him join up at the Vincent Calderon for the next 3 seasons. Journalists waited outside the stadium once the news broke but they would be disappointed as Madrid officials stated there would be no press conference in the near or distant future with Friel. It is thought the reason behind this is the Scot is still uncappable of Speaking fluent Spanish and doesn't want to have his words twisted in the media.

Although Friel has been quiet in regards of the media he has been reasonabley busy in the transfer market of late snapping up no less than 8 players in the space of just two days.

The more notable of the signings has to be the capture of extreamly highly rated 23 year old German Alder Rene from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Madrid boss has placed Uragyuan International Diego Forlan on the transfer list. Friel declared he was on the look out for replacements and the former Manchester United star will be allowed to leave if the club recieve the right offer.

However he did mention that no cash deal will even be considered or replied to in any aspect. Player/s exchange only will be negotiated. He also stated that a replacement striker will be need as 1 part of the deal.

Aguero on the other hand looks set to stay at the club after recent media news gathered he was set for a move to Arsenal. It remains to be seen however that other clubs could launch a bid but it seems unlikely due to the price what has been put on the Argentine sensations head.

The second signing is ex-Uruguyuan international Martín Beto Acosta, who signed for £8 million from Corinthians. Fenerbahce had a good first day in the transfer market, as new boss Ross Philp welcomed three new faces to Turkey. Philp has solved the problem in midfield and has found a decent right back that is capable of doing well this season. One player has left the Turkish giants, and Philp still has just under a sum of £19,000,000 to use from now.
First to join, was German internationalist and greatly experienced midfielder Michael Ballack. A fee of £5,000,000 along with unwanted midfielder Claudio Maldonado went to Chelsea to secure the services of Ballack. Philp was excited at the prospect of him.

Joining from Newell's Old Boys, defender German Re moved to Turkey to play at Fenerbahce. The player cost £4,000,000 and out of favour defender Deniz Baris who was ever-aging. Philp claimed that he will do well for their title claim this season here.

And his third signing was to sort out the weakness on the right hand side of the midfield. Luis Perez joined from Monterrey with £5,000,000 and players Sahin Salcuk and Aslin Kemal leaving. Philp is very happy that he has now got a player who can play on the right.
Philp would like to remind all managers that midfielder Stephen Appiah and also striker Mateja Kezman are available for sale and that all offers, not just cash only, will be considered greatly.
The boss has also made three more offers after missing out on several targets last night after being outbid. He was unhappy and knows it was careless of him not to offer more and he claims that he will know for the future, not to underestimate other bidders.

    BLACKPOOL WHO'S WHO

Blackpool Football Club this afternoon published a Who's who of the club for this season:
Paul Rachubka (Goalkeeper): Began his career in Europe, signing as a youngster for Manchester United. He only made one first-team appearance in his two years at the club. During his time there, Rachubka was loaned out to Manchester United's Belgian feeder club, Royal Antwerp and to lower-division English team Oldham Athletic. Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was willing to sell him, and when Charlton Athletic bid £200,000 it proved too good to turn down for a player who was essentially an untested goalkeeper. Whilst at Charlton, Rachubka was loaned out to a number of clubs including Burnley, Huddersfield Town and Northampton Town. After his contract expired with the London club, Rachubka took the option to re-sign for one of his old clubs, Huddersfield Town, in 2004. Rachubka was the first-choice goalkeeper at the Galpharm Stadium until Matt Glennon was signed during summer 2006 and seized his chance.
Rachubka was taken on loan to Peterborough United as cover for Mark Tyler and played four League Two matches over the Christmas/New Year period of 2006-07. On January 31, 2007, he went on loan to Blackpool as back-up for Rhys Evans, the ninth loan move of his career. He made his debut for Blackpool on February 27, 2007 and kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Oldham Athletic. On June 5, 2007, five days after his contract at Huddersfield expired, Blackpool signed him on a permanent two-year deal at Bloomfield Road.
Wes Hoolahan (Midfielder): started his career at Shelbourne where he won three League of Ireland championships and excelled during their run in the Champions League qualifiers in the 2004-05 season. He was the PFAI Young Player of the Year in the 2002-03 season.
On 21 July 2006, Hoolahan joined Blackpool on a season-long loan. He scored his first goal for the club on 30 September 2006, a penalty in a 3-0 win over Leyton Orient at Bloomfield Road. On 15 December 2006, he scored a goal and was sent off in a 3-1 win at Shorpe.
In June 2007, Hoolahan signed a two-year contract with Blackpool. Livingston, however, refused to sign the documentation sanctioning the move, stating that Blackpool had repeatedly breached the terms of the loan agreement. Blackpool denied any such default, and referred the matter to the Football Association.
Ivan Klasnić (Striker): He started his professional career playing for local side St. Pauli and impressed as a striker in the three and half seasons he played for the club in the Second Bundesliga since becoming a professional in January 1998. Prior to his spell at St. Pauli, he has played for less known amateur sides Union 03 Hamburg and TSV Stellingen.
After helping St. Pauli to gain promotion to the first division with 10 goals scored for the club in the second division during the 2000-01 season, he made the switch to Werder Bremen in the summer of 2001 and finally made his mark in the first team in 2003 with some powerful performances in the Bundesliga. His first two seasons at the club had been marked by erratic form (he scored only three goals in 36 Bundesliga appearances) and two serious knee injuries, but he laid old ghosts to rest as he emerged a key figure in Werder Bremen's march to the Bundesliga title in the 2003-04 season, when he also won the German Cup with the club. He scored 13 goals and made another 11 for his Brazilian strike partner Ailton. His expiring contract caused a scramble for his signature at the beginning of the year before he eventually decided to stay at Bremen.
Klasnić turned down an invitation from Rudi Völler to play for Germany. He also turned down an invitation from Blaž Slišković to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina and chose to play for Croatia instead as he already won three caps and scored one goal for their under-21 team in the spring of 2001. He also played five times and scored one goal for the Croatian under-19 team in 1998 and 1999. By a quirk of fate, his international debut came against Germany in February 2004 in a friendly match where the Germans claimed a 2-1 victory.
He was selected to play for Croatia in the 2004 European Football Championship. However, he was left on the substitutes bench throughout the tournament. Croatia did not advance past the group stage and the media often attributed that to the lack of inclusion of Klasnić, among other things.
Participating in the 2004-05 UEFA Champions League season, Klasnić scored 5 goals in the two group matches against Belgian side RSC Anderlecht, including a hat-trick in the 5-1 home victory for Werder Bremen, helping the team to advance to the first knock-out stage of the competition before losing to strong French side Olympique Lyonnais, who crushed them 10-2 on aggregate.
In March 2008, Klasnić joined Blackpool Football Club on loan and is expected to be their star player this season.
Vidar Riseth (Midfielder): currently plays for Blackpool F.C, which he signed a three year contract for in March 2008.
Riseth has previously played for Neset F.K., Kongsvinger, Luton, LASK Linz, Celtic, 1860 München and Rosenborg BK. He has been capped 51 times for the Norwegian national team, scoring 4 goals, and played for his country at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.
Sam Wainwright (Manager): The Manager at Blackpool after spells at: Ipswich, Everton, Benfica, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Rosenborg and Aston Villa. Has a total of 22 Honours including Meditteranian cup winners cup and Best of British F.A Cup.
Gabriel Batistuta (Assistant Manager): Has a list of honours as a football player for Fiorentina and AS Roma * First Division (Serie A) Italian Championship (with A.S. Roma) 2000-2001.
