Re: Gold Championship 8 - Transfers, Rumors & Match Reports

    Vs.

    Pre Match Analysis:
From Stamford Bridge Chelsea take on Bolton Wanderers in the Barclay's Premiership.
Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joe Cole and Alex come into the squad after Florent Malouda, Michael Essien and John Terry are all rested.
Claudio Pizarro keeps his place alongside Freddie Kanoute in order to impress manager Sam Wainwright and Massimo Ambrosini starts his 4 consecutive game for Chelsea this season.
New Boys Yoann Pele, de Carvalho Correia Kleber, Turan Arda and Craig
Bellamy all start for the trotters. Bolton come into the game on a 4 game winning streak and Chelsea come into the game on a 2 game losing streak!
    First Half:
We get underway here at the Bridge and that’s a beautiful through ball to Joe Cole who threads the ball into the path of Kanoute who smashes it across the bar! Fantastic start from the blues and Sam Wainwright's boys are up for this game. Pele boots the ball back up the field as Kleber finds Wilhelmsson who beats Alex with ease and chips Cech for surely 1-0 but Ricardo Carvalho clears the ball off the line! Excellent flow to this game with only 2 minutes gone!
Joe Cole picks up the ball and majestically passes Meite with ease and he pulls off a brilliant shot only to go inches wide! But in the lead up to the shot Kleber caught Cole and it’s a free kick, and in disgust, Kleber kicks the ball away which results in a yellow card for the Brazilian.
The free kick is hammered at the wall and Wilhelmsson picks it up! Bolton are on the charge its 3 against 2, Wilhelmsson advances with Kleber screaming for the ball but Wilhelmsson takes it himself and rifles it wide! Should’ve passed the Swede.
Chelsea launch an attack yet again with Ashley Cole near the corner flag, he shimmy's around Meite and gets in a brilliant cross and Lampard Kanoute and Pizarro all lack the final touch!
The ball is terribly cleared as it falls to Ambrosini who belts the ball and it's in off the post! 1-0 Chelsea and you could sense a goal was coming!
Bolton restart and Meite makes a terrible touch and it's a Chelsea throw. Wright-Phillips controls the pass from the throw and gets the cross in oh! And Joe Cole missed the goal with the simplest of headers! Should’ve been 2-0!
Bolton attack again but this time Nolan is caught napping! Chelsea break again with Wright-Phillips yet again as he crosses the ball and Kanoute pulls off a miraculous overhead kick! But Pele tips it over the bar!
The corner is taken but its short to Ashley Cole who crosses the ball but is taken out late from Meite and surely that’s a yellow card, and it is. Chelsea have a dangerous free kick on the edge of the box, yet again it's short and Ricardo Carvalho receives the ball who dribbles round Davies and Nolan and shoots! But he was falling and the shot goes wide.
Poor goal kick from Pele and it falls to Pizarro who makes a run into Bolton’s half who feeds it through to Kanoute whose onside turns and shoots and it's 2-0 to the blues! Freddy Kanoute with his 2nd of the season in a blue shirt and Chelsea look lethal out there.
Bolton restart as Kevin Davies urge's his team not to get too complacent and as he says it Nolan loses out to Pizarro who rifles it from 30 yards but Pele parry's it but Kanoute follows up and slots it under the keeper! 3-0 Chelsea and Kanoute bags his second of the game!
Bolton restart with 10 seconds of added time to go and Davies shoots from the kick off but disappointingly hits the billboards near the corner flag.
    Second Half:
No subs by either team at half time as Chelsea gets us underway for the 5th time this game.
Chelsea attack from the kick off straight away and Lampard found a lucky way through the defence! Only for his first touch to let him down and Pele gathers it oh no he doesn't! He’s missed the ball and Pizarro sprints in and pops it in from the tightest of angles! And it's 4-0 Chelsea! This is a white wash.

Piece Of Pizarro...Claudio bags goal for 4-0

Bolton pass it around at the back from the restart and it looks like they've thrown in the towel, but Shaun Wright-Phillips poaches the ball off Ivan Campo and shoots! But the balls tipped over for a corner. SWP will take the corner and it's swung in and Kanoute gets a head on it! But it's straight into the hands of Pele. Kanoute searching for his 3rd.
Pele boots the ball up the field as it bounce's over Carvalho's head and Davies heads it towards goal and Cech pulls off what has to be one of the greatest saves this season!
Corner for Bolton as Campo swings it in and Davies is there again! And yet again Petr Cech pushes it wide again with another superb save and Bolton have returned!
The Corner from Campo goes out of play on the way in, very disappointing for the trotters.
Cech takes the goal kick and finds Joe Cole who lobs Campo runs into the box and tries to lob Pele with a header but it lands on the top of the goal! And Joe Cole has gone down from that and it looks like he has pulled something.
The ball is booted up field and it finds Nolan who through balls it to Wilhelmsson who shoots and it flashes wide of the post.
Two substitutions one for either team, looks like Joe Cole is injured and he is replaced by Florent Malouda and for Bolton Kevin Davies who has been the driving force for Bolton in all fairness is being replaced by Nicholas Anelka.
Chelsea break yet again from a goal kick and this time Pizarro ambitiously shoots from 30 yards but it's just over the bar.
Bolton advance up the field again and Anelka turns and shoots! And yet again Petr Cech pulls off a superb save to deny Bolton yet again.
Cech boots the ball up field and it falls to Kanoute who bounces the ball off the floor turns and volleys and it’s just over! But he looks at the floor to say the pitch was to blame. The referee for some reason has given a corner and even Freddy looks surprised, the corner is taken and it falls to Kanoute who slips and really should've finished it off, still 4-0 here.
Malouda picks up the ball from another bad goal kick from Pele as Malouda produces a brilliant pass to Pizarro who is unmarked as he advances, shoots and it's past the keeper and in off the post! 5-0 Chelsea!

    No No Nolan...Nolan shows frustration.

Bolton attack straight from the kick off as it's crossed by Nolan and it beats Cech but Arda nutts it into the stands! Golden chance! And Arda knows it.
Chelsea counter attack yet again and this time Pizarro is lofted a ball to him but an alerted Gary Speed heads it over the bar for safety. Bellamy is complaining to the referee and receives a yellow card probably for his colourful yet funny language.
The final whistle goes and Sam Wainwright will be very pleased with his team today they pulled off a superb win against inform Bolton.
    Man Of The Match:
Even though he went off in the 60th minute, Joe Cole was absolutely phenominal on the ball and was unlucky not to score when he had the chance probably Chelsea's best performance of the season.

    10

Ho Ho Joe...Man Of The Match Joe Cole

    German Giants..

    Dual German Domination

    Leigh Danny

Two lower ranked German clubs have made a decision to join forces on a quest to become the best sides in Germany and two of the best sides in the world.Hamburg SV managed by Leigh Auston met with Borussia Dortmund manager Danny Williams last night in a conference that decided every that could be done to become the best will be done.
In recent seasons ;Bayern,Stuggart,Schalke have all dominated in Germany and the underperfomers Dortmund and Hamburg are tired of it.Together the unity of the two clubs could become lethal and the German league will be running scared.
Many changes have been going on in the two clubs with certain players going in and out of the two teams..

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Hamburg a takeover was complete and a massive cash injection has meant they are probably the richest team in Europe..Rafael Van Der Vaart left the club but Gilberto joined up along with a hefty 30 million Pounds.Aswell as Van Der Vaart Hamburg lost veteran Wing Back Juan Pablo Sorin to Palermo but gained 2 young Italians in the process.Three young defenders including Brazilian Betao also joined Hamburg with a young goalkeeper Daniel Fernandez also joining up with the club.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A different kind of story is imminent for Dortmund by bringing in 6 new players and losing only one to loan..The biggest of all being Stephan Kiessling who joined Dortmund for a fee around 10 million,Along with Kiessling Arda Turan the highly rated Turkish winger arrived for the same fee..Out of favour Werder Bremen Left back Christian Schulz also joined the club for 5 million pounds as back up to the first team.
Gervinho and young A.Traore also joined as part of the African development of the Ivorian link.Young Italian prospect Francesco Volpe also joined the Germans for a small fee.

    LET THE DOMINATION BEGIN

    Assman For Sale

Independiente manager Tom Mills has today announced that much celebrated youngster, Fabian Assman, is for sale. "We need money" was the reason given to journalists. The rumour mill is generating gossip at maximum pace in Argentina, as fans are bewildered that there star keeper is set to be sold, they have come to the conclusion that another keeper must be on the way in. "We are in talks with a number of managers about possible replacements for Fabian, but if we are left without a replacement by Saturday, I have faith in Anton (Shunin) to keep our sheets clean against San Lorenzo."
The price wanted for the young starlet is believed to be £12 million - which Mills has described as "a steal for such a young and promising keeper, he won't be rated 86 for long."

    Villa promoted!

Aston Villa's 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Thursday night was enough to confirm that they would be promoted ahead of Spanglish's Bolton.
Heading into the last game, Zaragoza had been confirmed as division 4 champions, but the 2nd promotion spot was still up for grabs with Villa and Bolton level on points.
Bolton did all they could, beating FC Basel 2 - 0, but goals from John Carew and Shaun Maloney at Villa Park were enough to seal 2nd place, despite Nikola Zigic's consolation strike.
    The table finished like this:
    1 Zaragoza 22 14 3 5 55 16 39 45
    2 ASTON VILLA 22 11 5 6 32 26 6 38
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    3 Bolton Wanderers 22 11 5 6 32 26 6 38
    4 Borussia Dortmund 22 11 4 7 40 31 9 37
    5 Fiorentina 22 9 4 9 38 36 2 31
    6 Zenit St Petersburg 22 8 7 7 30 29 1 31
    7 Newcastle United 22 9 4 9 49 50 -1 31
    8 Toulouse 22 8 6 8 44 32 12 30
    9 West Ham United 22 7 4 11 39 51 -12 25
    10 Besiktas 22 5 7 10 26 39 -13 22
    11 FC Basel 22 6 3 13 27 52 -25 21
    12 AEK Athens 22 5 4 13 33 57 -24 19
As you can see, Villa and Bolton won the same amount of games, drew the same and lost the same. They scored the same amount of goals and conceded the same amount, so the goal difference was the same
Therefore it looks like I went up through alphabetical order and as Bolton did better than me when we faced each other, I thought they should of gone up instead of us
But that obviously didn't happen so it's Villa's fans who are celebrating the prospect of division 3 football next season.

George's targets for next season are simple, and that is to acheive promotion again.
He said '' My target when I took over was to take the club to division 1 in 3 seasons, and we are still able to do that.
I would like to thank the fans and the players for a great season, one we can reproduce next season. ''
He also added that new signings were unlikely, although one or two might be made.

Here is the post from earlier, how do you feel about this:
    Guys,
There is a lot of ill feeling lately about the recent developments of the site. Lets not forget that we all should be pulling in the same direction. At the end of the day, we at the forum, the regular posters, it's plain to see that we all care greatly about SM and we only give our honest opinions, whether that is to the liking of the dev's or not.
But the dev's have a hard job keeping everyone happy and their fundamental role is exactly the same as ours, to make SM the worlds best online management game. They are trying to develop things and we're not always going to like it. I bet all of these guys who are in a position of power in business (which is what SM is) the likes of Gates, Branson, Sugar, Trump, Murdoch etc etc have made bad business decisions in their lives. It's how you deal with and recover from them and turn them into positives is what's key. An old saying "those who have never made a mistake, have never tried anything new" comes to mind (Think I might have read that in someone's sig, it's stuck with me though and it's true)
Our role should be not to just criticise what they have done, as I'm sure everyone is aware there will have been a lot of man-hours slaving over implementing these changes. What we need to do is give them feasible alternatives and act as a support to them, not to give em **** every time there is something we don't like.
I think there is a general feeling in the forum that there is not enough interaction between the dev's and the forum. I agree with this and I have an idea which may help.
What I propose is that we as a forum approach SM to see about the possibility of a group of "testers" to test the new developments before they are implemented. Say 30 people for example. People from the forum who are well-respected throughout the SM community and it is felt that they could act as a voice for the rest of us.
SM then come up with a "restricted access" part to the site, i dunno, www.soccermanager.com/test for arguments sake, with our designated testers having usernames and passwords to this area.
Basically what will happen here is that a very small database will be set up, 30 teams, 600 players for example, with the new implementations (whatever they may be) integrated into the scaled down database.
A testing period of 2 weeks using the new parts can then commence with an evaluation period afterwards between the people that have taken part in the testing and the devs, highlighting what was good, not so good and any bright ideas which the users have with regards to how to make it better.
I think although I know not everyone will be happy as we'd all like to have a go of the new stuff and have our say I think this would be a positive step in the right direction and the first step towards improving the interaction between SM and ourselves at the forum.
    The reasons for this are:-
2 heads are better than 1, 3 better than 2 etc,
It will be the start of working together with each other rather than becoming heated between both sides,
More comprehensive and open testing may become a possibility if it turns out to be a success.
Now I don't know how hard this would be to set up etc. but I for one certainly think it could work, it's by no means the definitive answer, it'd be foolish to think that but it could well be the "missing link" between SM and the forum and a stepping stone towards building better communications between both sides.
    Rant over!!

Re: Blind leading the Blind 2
Ok guys better late than never ,
First of all i will explain why if any do not know or remember the reason the original thread was created by me seems no one can read it no more and the reason for the title ,Just like the loan system was changed without prior knowledge ,the new transfer system was put into place and even though SM did notify us far quicker on Blog than the 2-3 months it took to let us know about the loan changed it was still to late .
Because from putting it into place and notifying us on blog of the change there were a few days in between where i and other forumers spent a lot of time trying to help newbies and even regular members that who like me knew how the system worked and suddenly wondered if there was a bug etc because theres were suddenly getting cancelled when would normally get accepted, also over this period i noticed there were a lot of threads that were suddenly appearing more and more complaining about smfa and chairman ,so i wondered if there was a bug and S/M hadnt realised seems as we all know they dont deal with SMFA rejections .
So i then did transfers myself knowing full well if did not go through must be a bug ,all got rejected so without sounding a know all i knew something was Amiss because for a year in all my set ups these deals went through .
Therefore i sent ticket telling them is there a bug or has the bar been raised,my answer was that there is a new easier system in place and i could now find all info on blog .
Well after the hours i had spent all in vain trying to help just a total waste over the previous days that did send my crazy bones rattling ,hence the creation of thread "Blind leading the Blind ".after all how were any of us
exspected to help if none of us knew a change was in process or already in place.
The posts to me by you members that were replying on there as far as i was concerned even though not all agreeing were all related to my opening thread so i had no problems with the progressing of it because i thought there were some very interesting ideas raised as well as diff views,(would be a totally boring thread as would every one on forum if their wasnt diff sides and points to it and we all just agreed and patted each other on back ).
Then last night/ early morning when i popped on noticed a couple were well out of order and between both of them they were breaking rules 1,2,4,9 and 10 so i tried to delete them but for some reason i could not do that also this is happening to certain threads in certain parts of forum ,so hopefully S/M will fix this problem ,therefore i closed it hoping to get a Dev or Admin to remove the offending threads before re opening it to carry on like you have now ,because with some of the offending articles the thread would have taken on a far different light with what had been said and insinuated ,at least i think what i did has been proved right to do because as seen by Stegores reply on the first thread ,Some of you beat me to it in getting him to delete them for me ,so it already shows the threads concerened were starting to have the disrupt of members which was the intended purpose.
So am sorry i didnt just close with a get back to you later with the reason seems time was the crucial element it wasnt done.
Anyway now for my intake on certain threads on " Blind leading the Blind 2".

Good point well made Alan,i take on board the points you make about different approaches by different members and i dont bear any forethought or malice to any forumer because they have a different point of view from me:p or because they have a different way of approaching the problem concerned
i have been called many things in my life most you couldn,t repeat on here but "shy and retiring" where never mentioned but contrary to popular belief i dont come on here just to bash SM,in fact if you check through the post and threads i have made on this forum there are more in praise of SM than there is criticizing them but this is not one of those times im sorry to say
As i have stated before in many posts there PR and customer service is abysmal and there communication skills are definitely in need of refinement and polishing up,thats why i was quite happy to walk away from the game and delete it from my PC and then i thought why should i?????,i paid good money and i encouraged a lot of my friends and family to pay good money for this game so we could have a bit of a laugh when we are down the pub and SM need to be told they are well out of order ......so i did just that
Anyway i dont need to justify my attitude to anyone,if people dont like it or if people dont like Joe Black......am i bothered:p not one bit!!!!! thats THERE problem learn to deal with it and i can honestly say i have nothing but respect for the vast majority of forumers, after all this forum is for people to air different opinions and most of you talk a lotta sense........most of the time....so SM should listen up
SO the way i see it the way forward for this game is (as i have already stated)for SM and x amount of senior forum members,admin/mods to get your heads together and come up with inative ideas,a Think Tank if you like, sort out the problems that already exsist (game engine AI going by last nights results, and a few other things)and for goodness sake make sure the great unwashed and general population of SM have a bit of an idea of what is going on, all it takes is a few lines on the Home Page ,Blog and Forum and then its problem solved
Nobodys trying to dictate to the SM Dev,s how to develope there game but surely they wont object too input from the guys who play the game everyday and know it better than anyone........nobodys trying to take your baby away from you:p
Well thats Joe Black,s solution to the problem and i know you all agree so dont even bother discussing it just, set the plan in motion and to SM and the guys involved with the Think Tank.....
PUT A MESSAGE ON THE HOME PAGE AND GIVE THE PUNTERS A WEEKS NOTICE WHEN CHANGES ARE GOING TO BE MADE...... NOT A WEEK AFTER THE CHANGES HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED
Im not saying im a genius at this game and i never will be but i have a bit of an idea on how to play it with a degree of success which my 8 teams league positions would indicate in the Gold Setups but when it takes me 8 attempts to buy a player from an unmanaged club and then i still dont get him there is something badly wrong
Better communication would sure solve a lotta time and frustration for all parties involved......not to mention temper tantrums;)

HERACLES ALMELO APPOINT NEW MANAGER AND ASSISTANT COACH.

Today Dutch outfit Heracles Almelo appointed two new faces to the club.
Firstly, New manager Sam Wainwright was appointed coach of the Eredivisie team at 17:21 GMT. He stated in the press conference that: "I will try to bring the most amount of possible silverware i can to the club and new players along with that to boost the teams support and we have now the full backing of the board and we shall see where we can go from here."
Secondly, Henk Ten Cate was appointed as assistant coach at Almelo. Ten Cate who has also worked at Chelsea and Ajax Amsterdam claimed: "Me and Sam cannot wait to get underway with the season both financially and physically on the pitch, we shall push the team to the limits but no further than they should be."
Heracles also today announced their new shirt sponsor for the season known as "Ten Cate". As you can see in the picture Horatio Hornpuffer (left), Jan Molby (Center) and Peter Piper are very pleased with the new sponsor and said "Ten Cate is a world famous firm, bigger than Disney and it is great to have their support for the club this season."

Heracles have also been busy in the transfer market straight away signing Jeremie Aliadiere on loan from Middlesbrough and Santiago Solarí on loan from Internazionale.
Tomorrow 3 players will be having Medicals at Almelo.
The first of them being Premiership veteran Jason Roberts who is joining Heracles from Blackburn for a fee of around £5,200,000. Roberts, who was unsettled at Ewood Park has claimed: "It's a perfect move, yes my first choice obviously wasn't the Netherlands but it's a chance all the same and will take it with both hands"
The second of the 3 is West Hams Hayden Mullins who will join for an undisclosed fee. Mullins stated: "same as what Jase said, it wasn't a first choice move but it's a top class team all the same"
The 3rd is a relatively unknown in these parts, but Vitor Castanheira of Sporting Bragha will join Almelo tomorrow. Castanheira claimed: "It is nice to be wanted once in a while and I will perform to my up most ability.

Ipswich needed to pull off an important win 3 days after their dismal defeat to high flyer's Cardiff City.
Ipswich have found it easy to score all season with James Beattie their top scorer with 12 and on loan striker Dean Ashton and Stefan Beinlich not too far behind both on 11 goals.
    First Half:
Coventry started well at Portman road when an in-swinging cross from Jay Tabb was mis kicked by Leon McKenzie within 40 seconds of the game.
The next attack didn't come until the 9th minute where Jay Tabb pulled off a stunning shot from 35 yards out only to be tipped over by Rolando Cristanté.
Ipswich finally broke when Jaime Peters fed in James Beattie but was brought down 5 yards from the area and as a result, Edgar Castillo was booked for kicking the ball away in disgust. Enrico Chiesa steps up to take the free kick but places the left footed shot just wide of the goal but the keeper was beaten.
Ipswich broke again when Dario Botinelli was crushed under a challenge by Chiesa but the referee waved play on and Chiesa attacked and slotted the ball under the keeper and Ipswich had the lead.
Coventry restarted very strong as McKenzie ran from the kick off to the area but blasted the ball well over and Cristanté laughed in his face. The Sky Blues were trying though and finally the breakthrough came for Coventry as Kevin Mirallas struck a beautiful shot from 20 yards across the post and into the back of the net. 1-1 and it's a fairly equal game.
    Half Time Analysis:
Ipswich look good with possession, but judging on shots and chances, this game could go either way as both teams haven't took there chances as they should have.
    Second Half:
Ipswich attacked almost instantly from the restart when James Beattie crosses the ball in and Peters managed to get his head on it but it was pushed over the bar for a corner. Peters stepped up for the corner, boxed it and James Beattie gets on the end of it and it beats the keeper for 2-1 to Ipswich town and what a start to the second half for the Tractor Boys.
Gaizka Mendieta looks absolutely fantastic today as he beats 3 players to get the cross in but unfortunately it's too deep. But the ball is dragged back into play by Fabio Caserta who crosses the ball back and Mendieta sprints in and volley's it! but Andy Marshall spectacularly tips it over the bar. Ipswich look increasingly dangerous as Mendieta attacks again but is tackled dangerously by a backtracking Leon McKenzie.
Beattie takes it off Jay Tabb's toe in the 55th minute and sprints towards goal and shoots but the keeper palms it away straight to Chiesa in front of an open goal! but skies it! disbelief on the face of Enrico Chiesa and manager Sam Wainwright.
Dario Botinelli attacks yet again for Coventry but Thomas Helveg throws all his weight at Botinelli and it's a fair tackle but Botinelli has stayed down and it looks painful.
Ipswich restart with it as Beattie shimmy's around the defender but puts his shot wide, it could at least be 6-2 by now.
Coventry attack as Botinelli heads the ball down only to be cleared by José Calvo and Dario Passoni is onside from the clearance as Passoni runs 40-50 yards and slots it under the keeper! 3-1 to Ipswich Town.
Coventry attack yet again as McKenzie blasts it and what a save by Rolando Cristanté and the Ipswich fans applaud a wonderful display of acrobatics. McKenzie takes the corner too and Jay Tabb gets his head on it and it comes back off the bar and Tabb heads it again! and this time Cristanté couldn't get his fingers to it 3-2 now and maybe a shock turnaround for Coventry City.

Ipswich respond almost instantly again as a cross from Calvo comes to Mendieta at 12 yards out and he strikes it! but it's straight into the arms of keeper Andy Marshall.
Minutes later Coventry get a corner and it could be oh so very important as Tabb crosses it Botinelli rises to it with a spectacular overhead kick but it flies over the cross bar and the home fans cheer.
Ipswich attack again with yet another cross from Calvo and Chiesa gets his head to it but it shaves the top of the bar and Ipswich could have bagged a cricket score today.
Ipswich move up the field as Helveg makes a fantastic run down the right wing but is hassled into making an early cross by Leon McKenzie but the final ball was poor and straight into the arms of the keeper.
Finally in the 88th minute Ipswich put the game to bed as Fabio Caserta pulls off a stunning 30 yard shot and into the top corner to finish the Sky Blues off for good and 4-2 looks a fair result.
    Full Time Report:
Ipswich came off victorious yet again this season with James Beattie performing to his best ability yet again and Man of The Match couldn't have gone to a more worthy player on the pitch today.

    Couldn't find a thread sooo...
I think so far this season Benjani has been a class act. his stats are below and as i'm not used to talking about ratings yeh i'll leave it there, I think he should be about 89/90 for me not 88 and that means SWP should be 91

Dortmund come with three points after a comfortable away win to Atletico Mardid of 3-1.
However the win came at a cost with Metersacker being injured for 8 weeks and Cannavaro set to miss 3 matches after being suspended. While Snjieder's return from suspension gave Memic a life after he really put up a show and got MOM. While At. Madrid kept Luca Toni and Kanoute quiet, Memic needs the midfield to produce something and they did just that.
Now Dortmund are to face Kiev and looking for their 8th straight league win.
They are currently 3rd so went from Relegation battlers to a team with a chance of Winning the title.

Heracles Almelo have a tough season ahead of them but manager Sam Wainwright is confident that his team can avoid the bottom half of the table. Today the Heracles Headlines brings an exclusive of manager and men.
Since the campaign started on Saturday, Wainwright has managed to lure 6 players to the club spending no more than £12,000,000. The first to arrive at the club was Jeremie Aliadiere who has joined on a season longs loan from Tom Greenfield's Middlesbrough. Wainwright said: "Jeremie is a very talented guy and I feel with his experience in the premiership he can bring a massive amount of talent to Heracles this season."
Second of those to arrive was Santiago Solarí who also joined on loan this time from Mitu Ahmed's Internazionale also for a season loan. Assistant coach Henk Ten Cate who pulled off the deal said: "Mitu was very professional and smart about the move and I think Santiago will be essential to our games this season."
The 3rd player to join the team was Blackburn's out of favour striker Jason Roberts. Roberts, who turns 30 in 3 months said to Heracles Headlines : "It's a delight to play for a team in a country you have not gained any experience in before and I hope to show my true playing style and love of football this season and however many seasons i spend with Heracles."
4th in line was West Ham midfielder Hayden Mullins. Mullins joined for a fee around £4,000,000 on Sunday morning and was said to be: "absolutely ecstatic" about playing for a new club: "I was out of favour at West Ham and it was obvious they did not want me around anymore and Heracles came in with a lifeline and I could not refuse."
5th player on the list to join was Sporting Bragha's Vitor Castanheira for a fee of around £3,500,000 also on Sunday morning. The deal for Castanheira was accepted almost instantly after the offer had been made for the Portuguese veteran. Castanheira replied with: "I am looking forward to the new experience and I didn't enjoy my time at Bragha but i already feel at home here at Almelo."
The 6th and final installment for the moment was ex Chelsea and Newcastle defender Celestine Babayaro who is on loan at Almelo for the rest of the season through another fine piece of work from Ten Cate. Henk said: "It was a surprise when Tom Eesha said yes to the deal and we look forward to him playing on Saturday."
Heracles out of favour players Kwame Quansah and Kai Michalke were both put on the transfer list last night as Ten Cate says that they are not included in the new team shape and selling Quansah will help for funds.

Out of Favour...Quansah and Michalke "Not Wanted"

In an Exclusive Interview with manager Sam Wainwright and new boy Hayden Mullins, Headlines finds out more...
First off is manager Sam Wainwright
Q: Hey Sam. When you joined Heracles, what were the things on your mind at the time and what were your plans?
A: Well when I joined Heracles, the first thing I did was a team meeting to boost the morale of the players with getting a new boss and all, we all got to know each other a little better and in my case I found the team I want to perform with.
Q: You signed 6 players in the space of two days, which is quite a lot of players considering how low your budget was, do you think these signings will help you reach your goal?
A: Ofcourse I thought they would help the team otherwise I wouldn't have tried to sign them in the first place, Henk recommended some players such as Babayaro, Santiago and Jason and I went with his opinions and they were pleased to join which I am happy to say, I think we went for experience in all fairness but the next signings will be fresh talent and hopefully players with a high reputation too.
Q: Quansah and Michalke have both been transfer listed due to apparently "not being involved" in the new plans this season is this true?
A: Partially, we are losing funds pretty darn fast and we need to flog some of our best players to get that cash back, it happened with Leeds United in 2003, it's happened with a few teams and we had to do something and sacrificing Kwame was not on my list but I feel for us to succeed it has to be done.
    Secondly is Hayden Mullins
Q: Hey Hayden, obviously the Eredivisie is a step down to the Premiership but how are you fitting in to life in the Netherlands?
A: I don't feel the move is a step down but rather a step up because when I joined the other day the Gaffer said I'm going to be an untouchable which is what I was far away from at West Ham it has to be said. Since I've been here the whole atmosphere of the team is absolutely awesome and it's like we have all known each other for years.
Q: When Heracles came calling what was your initial response?
A: Well straight away I said to the gaffer at West Ham that I'd like it if he accepted beings the manager put me on the transfer list anyway, but when Heracles were told yes I celebrated with my wife, kids and family and then I went on the Internet to find a house in Holland.
Q: You joined alongside with Jason Roberts and Vitor Castanheira, how have they fitted in to the team?
A: Well I've got to know Vitor really well since we joined and he is a great guy, Jase has been quiet but he is just fitting in i think we will all get used to the Dutch language soon enough but I feel it will be a bit harder for Vitor to pick up but as I said the morale of the team is absolutely immense and we all get along well.
Q: Do you know if anyone else will be joining the team?
A: I heard that Henk and Sam were chasing Manuel Rui Costa but it seems as thought the Benfica manager is extremely stubborn at this moment in time, but only time will tell to be honest with you.
