Re: SM laughing at me?
I mainly made this thread because of trouble with the ticket system and getting players added. Well, CREDIT to SM, it seems they have listened. Since this, all my players wanted have been added.
I've had no problem getting these added since then. SM don't always tell you when they listen, but it appears that this thread might've had an effect. Because some of them (Renatinho, Bernardo, Boquita, Welinton) had tickets sent before and after the post with the same stats, and it worked the second time.
Thanks for the support everyone.
August 31st 2008. Summer Transfer Deadline Day. The day began with the news which has shaken the idea of transfers, and the object of Money in football to date. An Abu Dhabi consortium rumoured to be owned by Sheikh Mansour, were reportedly planning a multi-million takeover, of the debt-ridden Manchester outfit, Manchester City. 2 Hours Later, with manager Mark Hughes at a Golf Course in Derbyshire, more Breaking News. City had apparently lodged bids for four major world superstars. German Striker Mario Gomez, Spanish Striker David Villa, Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov, and Brazilian Wonderkid Robinho. You could question, how and who was using this budget, but i'll leave that for another time. But still, In the space of 2-3 days City have gone from being the 3rd Biggest Club in the North-West (..if that) to the Richest Club In The World. Then, as 23:00 hours struck, All major news channels display the one line every City fan wished to hear. 'Robinho agrees contract at City, and joins for over £30 Million'. After a long series of events between Robinho and Chelsea F.C, City eventually persuaded the Brazilian wonderkid to join. Many question, including myself whether money was the object which persuaded Robinho.
Confirmation To The World. Robinho, had signed for Manchester City
With the hype surrounding the Brazilian, City faced the worst possible opponents for Robinho. Chelsea, the club which had faced a tug of war with Real Madrid, over the signature, eventually losing out to Manchester City. In true Robinho and Brazilian fashion, Robinho impressed on his debut, and managed to get a goal from a trademark freekick, helped by a deflection on it's way in. As the season continued, Robinho continued to impressed and found his way onto the Top Scorers list, ahead of another of City's targets, Dimitar Berbatov. By December 2008, Robinho had scored 11 Goals, in under 20 games, and highlights included a Hat-Trick at Stoke City, and a crutial goal in the UEFA Cup against Dutch team FC Twente. But, now we're well into 2009 and midway through March, and Robinho hasn't managed to find the back of the net this year. Also, with allegations of rape, and drug abuse, Robinho has definetly not being adding enough work to the team effort, and has definetly not peformed when City need crutial goals, or a spark of magic which we know he is capable of doing. So what's the problem, whats to blame for his lack of effort. Is The EPL to much for him to handle, or the fact that allegations are flying at him, here, there and everywhere. Lets analyse the possibilties:
On January 27th 2009, Robinho was questioned by West Yorkshire police, over an incident in a Leeds Nightclub in relation to an alleged sexual assault. Only in the last couple of days, have all charges been dropped and Robinho has been given the all clear. An event like this, i dont care who you are whether your worth £1 Million or £30 Million, will definetly effect the way that you play and especially when you've not fully suited to the English Lifestyle to have allegations of Rape is the least you need.
Pele, 68, was allegedly recorded making comments about Robinho and another un-named Brazilian player about Peformance Enhancing Drugs. Pele allegedly said: "It's unfair to talk of drugs in football just because of one or two cases," before naming Robinho and going into great detail about his use of the drugs. Along with Rape allegations and court cases, i'm sure this will have had some sort of effect on Robinho.
Reports earlier in the season from major Newspapers, suggested that Robinho found the language difficult, hence finding it hard to connect with team-mates. Robinho has spoke avidly about his connection with team-mates Jo and Elano, but with both rarely featuring in the Starting XI, Robinho according to sources is apparently in a team with players who can't connect with. However, I must say the bond between Robinho and Ireland in parts of the Season has been of top quality.
Other sources suggest that Robinho doesnt provide an 100% peformance every-game because he is at a team, in which he doesnt want to be it. With a move rumoured to Chelsea dominating all the headlines in Summer 2008, Robinho clearly had his eyes set on Chelsea and these sources suggest that Robinho is simply not showing his full ability because he simply doesn't want to be at Man City. Personally, i find this hard to believe.
These are just 4 suggestions to why Robinho's peformance have been lacklustre, and not of his standard which he shown at Santos and at Real Madrid. Personally, i think it's down to the relationship and connection with team-mates. I believe that Robinho has found it hard to settle into the English way of Life, and style of football. Also, i feel that he hasn't proven himself in the Premiership due to various allegations being spread, about his life, etc. Anyway, i'd like to hear your views and feel free to discuss this topic further.
Real Club: Alloa Athletic
Age: 16 years old
Born: 6 July 1992
Position: Central Striker
Is rated at 60. He has made 2 starts for Alloa as well as coming on as a sub 7 times. he has played a total of 259 minutes and scored 1 goal. I think his rating should be considerably higher.

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread...
I agree with Gozgoz, Sissoko is one of only 6 players to have played over 20 games in the league for Juvé and is performing well for a team 2nd in Serie A.
Belletti isn't playing like Gozgoz said, just trying to give you more of a help with 2 for the deal
