JUSTICE reacted to ukfootballfan101 in New Custom Setup Advanced Rules
I love custom setups but I would like to see an expansion of the advanced rules, here are a few I've come up with:-
    1) Customisable limit on the number of foreign players in a squad, I can't remember when the rules changed but the premiership used to have a limit of 3 non British players (plus 2 British), it would be fun if something like that was introduced, and if you could decide how many were allowed
    2) Customisable transfer bans. Alvin posted on another thread that a custom rule of a 1 year transfer ban should be introduced, I want to take it one step further and say a setup creator should be able to define the length of a transfer ban, this could be 0 to 99 turns?
    3) There is already a rule about buying players from the same country, I would like to add a rule where you can only buy players from the same continent as the club.
    4) A different version of number 3, I would like the option to determine which continents players could be bought (or not bought) from so in effect you could lock out players from the transfer market e.g. if you created a Latin America setup you could lock out all other contients so the managers could only buy players from north or south america.
    5) Option to add multiple leagues to a setup, currently all customs have divisions on top of each other with promotion and relegation, I would like the option to run leagues in next to each other like in a gold setup e.g. a UK setup with an english league (4 divisions), scottish league (2 divisions), welsh league and irish league, with a international (smfa cup/shield) club cup competition.
    6) Customisable starting balances. I like creating setups with a mixture of really big teams and really small teams. If would be great if it were possible to help the small teams out by giving them fairly big starting balances and giving the big teams really small ones e.g. if you had Gretna and Barcelona in the same league (or setup) you could give Gretna say £100m to spend and Barcelona £2m.
All my suggestions are for custom game worlds only and are meant to be options that the game world creator could turn on and off. What does everyone think? Are any of my ideas any good? Does anyone have any other ideas?

Lately as ive been going around Forum ive seen threads on server speeds ,slow develpoments by SM etc ,advertisements cluttering up home page .
Well servers and Developers cost money and wages .
Advertisements most members block yet im told with some of these they only pay out to the ammount of members click on them .
Well the way things are going there could come a stage that some of the Advertisers that help SM to run pull the plug as they as well feel the recession,so SM Bills are bigger than whats comming in .
So with the recession the way it is some members should be a bit more thoughtfull and be glad at this moment we can come home from work ,School etc log onto the internet and SM is still here to play .

JUSTICE reacted to BenReado in Meixcan Rating Review (Posts moved from other thread)
Just a few points I've taken from the changes in Mexico. 170 players rating was dropped whilst only 53 players rose!
32 players who were previously rated above 88 saw a drop in there rating. 0 players rated 88 or above before the ratings got a rise.
This means the league of Mexico has become a much lower standard then? Well not that I can see! The only resourse I can find that rated leagues over the whole world is IFFHS. In 2007 they rated the Meixcan league as the 8th best league in the world and at the end of 2008 (very recent), the Mexican league has been rated as the 8th best league.
If SM read this, could you possibly let me know which source you are using to rate players from Mexico, as the ratings seem very harsh.

    hey,
After a few months of searching through the forum and looking at great rating prediction threads like "Biggest Upcoming Risers Revisited (2008/09)" by Radebe20, Seftinho's threads, Insider's recent compilation, among other excellent ones ( i mean all of them, because any work is great.) i decided to make one of my own. Because I live in Portugal, I will give my best to make this thread a good thread and that it helps you.
I will post all the predictions from the Liga Sagres in the next couple of days.
Feel free to ask me any question about this league.
I didn't include the stats because they just make it harder and more complicated.
    I hope you like it

    Nicolas Alexis Bianchi Arce
    Early Days
This player was talked about during the previous rating changes, according to Hizzle, but is yet to get his own thread, which is what this post is for. Born in January 28, 1987, Bianchi Arce originated in the Villa Crespo neighborhood of Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires. The young defender began his footballing career in the youth squad of Boca Juniors, then of San Lorenzo, for whom he has been with to this day.
    Biography
On December 10, 2005, he played his first match for the senior squad, a 2-1 win over Arsenal de Sarandi that concluded the 2005 Apertura. He played 11 matches altogether in the 2006 Clausera afterwards, and in the 2006 Apertura, he made 5 appearances. In the Clausera of 2007, he featured in 10 games for the San Lorenzo, who recieved the championship trophy at the end. The 2007 Apertura was a quiet time for Bianchi Arce, who didn't get any time on the pitch at all. In the 2008 Clausera, he featured in only 3 matches.
    Current Season
The 2008 Apertura initiated on the 24th of August, with Bianchi Arce playing throughout a 3-0 win over Estudiantes la Plata. The following week beheld a goalless draw between San Lorenzo and River Plate featuring the center-back. The third match of the season for them, held on September 13th, resulted in a 2-1 victory over Rosario Central, with Bianchi Arce playing another full match. Three days past, and Bianchi Arce grabbed another start and San Lorenzo another win, this time the victim being Banfield and the scoreline being 3-1. Another three days' wait yielded in a match won 3-0 over Colon de Santa Fe, with the center-back starting as usual. On September 27th, Bianchi Arce stayed on the bench for the first time that season, only to come on 64 minutes in during a 2-0 beating against Arsenal de Sarandi. Just yesterday, Bianchi Arce played again and helped San Lorenzo gain their fifth clean sheet in seven matches. The team now stands on top of the table.
    Rating
Bianchi Arce's has 577 minutes, and his rating is 82, equivalent to German Voboril, who has only 108 minutes of playing. Rivero, rated 88, has played 606 minutes, and Romeo, rated 87, has played 400, so an 88 rating would be appropriate, given that the trend continues until the changes. Because of SM's consistency with recent changes, I'd say he would rise to 86 or 87.

    Profile
    Nationality: Argentina
    DOB: Jan 28, 1987
    Age: 21 years old
    Height: 188 meters
    Weight: 82 kilograms
    Position: Centre Back (CB)

JUSTICE reacted to Seftinho in Adriano Buss HENRIQUE *5-Star Buy*
This is my first post in this section.
Firstly, I do not take credit for this player, as he has been mentioned twice before, by Jinky and High as a Knight:
    http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?t=20121&highlight=henrique+adriano
    http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?t=23365&highlight=henrique+adriano
Both topics were quite a long time ago though, so I'd create a new one, rather than bump one, as he is a must buy.
I'm not gonna bother copying anything for Wikipedia as anyone can just look him up, and anyway it's not relevant. Instead I'll post his stats and some facts thay mat interest you.
    Name: Adriano Buss Henrique
    DOB: 14/10/86
    Age: 21
    Position: CB
    Nationality: Brazilian
    Club: Barcelona
    Rating: 81
    SM Value: £2,549,000
Chairman's value is usually around £2m.
    Facts:
    - Played 6 times for Palmeiras in 2008, totalling 546 minutes and scoring 1 goal.
    - Signed by Barcelona for €10m in July 2008.
    - As a result was not reviewed in the recent Brazilian Reviews
    - Palmeiras were 4th when he left them, their regulars are rated around 87.
    - Henrique was called up for Brazil in March, but did not play.
He should have risen to around 85 due to these facts in the past week, but as he moved SM didn't review him. No-one knows what Guardiola is doing at Barca at the moment, and who he's going to sell. But if the rumours are true about Marquez leaving, then Henrique could fight Caceres and Pique for a starting spot. He should rise to around 85/86 when Spain finally gets reviewed, possibly higher if he plays.
    Get him now!

The background is a mixture of things i never cut and paste anything what's the point? Everything is manipulated to create a different image
The original image is enhanced has additional light not a default light a brushed light.. added graffiti text including the user's name and mine both have overlays also you may have noticed that the main render's arm is imposed onto the background then there's the render itself a cut using the pen tool feathered 1px with two hits of the delete button for good measure and duplicated five times... 1 Gaussian blur layer 1 hard light layer a sharpened multiply layer at 45% opacity an image applied layer with a modified border and then a gradient map set to screen then I added a curves layer and a drop shadow on the render.. another image applied layer with a gaussian blur and set opacity to 25%
    Thanks for the comments:)
