  1. Re: Gold Championship 174 Thread KARDEC KEEPS THE MOMENTUM GOING French Shield Round 1 Stade Lavallois 0 - 2 Montpellier HSC Alan Kardec (6, 74) The reserve and fringe players got a chance to show me what they are all about on Monday night as they battled to a 2-0 win against unmanaged Stade Lavallois. The stats actually go in Lavallois' favour which isn't surprising given that Remy Cabella was sent off for us in the 37th minute and will now miss three games through suspension. Alan Kardec's finishing proved to be the difference though as the new £6m signing smashed home two goals on his debut and picked up the MOM award. We've been rewarded with a 2nd Round tie at home against Bordeaux who we faced in the league just a couple of days after this game... French Division 1 Bordeaux 3 - 3 Montpellier HSC Younes Belhanda (4) Cheick Diabate (23, 32, 40) John Utaka (38) Alan Kardec (49) Still without the injured Giroud, Yanga-Mbiwa and Bedimo, we had a mixture of first team players and reserves out for this game but we did well against a decent Bordeaux side. Based on the number of shots on goal, we should have been well beaten but we came from behind twice after taking an early lead to pick up a point to keep us top of the table. Kardec continued his fine start to his Montpellier career with a goal and an assist. The result could have been a lot worse if the Bordeaux manager hadn't decided to sub hat-trick hero Diabate at half-time! We lost Joris Marveaux to injury for three weeks which isn't ideal but we do have the injured trio back for tonight's clash at home to PSG. No transfer news to update you on. Belhanda and Giroud have both been taken off the transfer list for now.
  2. Re: The Official Npower Championship Thread Leeds in swoop for Jamaican international Rodolph Austin Looks like this could be a goer. Twitter has gone mad for him this afternoon pretty much based on the video below. He looks like he was born for Dirty Leeds! Pause the video at 19 seconds. There aren't many players that scare holes into their socks!
  3. Re: ♥La Revolution - Win Prizes!♥ ZZZ... ZZZ... ZZZ... ZZZ... Albacete 0 - 0 Mordovia A bore 0-0 draw. I watched the game using the new score centre and my 'keeper made save after save after save yet only got a '5' rating. Bizarre. Transfers in: A couple of youngsters bought in to provide a bit of depth when required. I've listed a couple of players to try and tempt the external clubs but none of them are biting just yet. I'm away on holiday for a few days from Sunday so I'll miss a few games but will be back next Friday. Hopefully the assistant manager knows what he's doing!
  4. Re: DvG World Tour: TEAMS AVAILABLE (challenge yourself) PETERHEAD PULVERISED BY PULIDO Peterhead 0 - 9 Qatar SC German Pezzela (28) Rajko Rep (36, 49) Steven Zuber (53, 89) Alan Pulido (56, 71, 81) Laurens de Bock (75) I think the new score centre has a bug. Do. Not. Tell. ANYONE! We scored 9 goals in 90 minutes having only scored 17 in 15 games before tonight. Pulido scored 3 in one game after going 10 games without a goal. We kept only our 2nd clean sheet in 18 games. We moved up four places to 12th and if my eyes do not deceive me, we are only 5 points off the "p" word. We've sold 12 players since our last game as the clear out begins. Turns out that external clubs do still take pity on desperate teams. I'm back in the black now but it's going to take a monumental effort to get this club going anywhere from a financial point of view. We're going to have to do an Arsenal to stay afloat until we start filling up the stadium a bit more on match day. Work has decided it'd be a good idea to send a few of us on an all expenses paid "team-building" exercise which involves sailing around the Med for 5 days so unfortunately, I won't be here to witness the mauling I'm likely to get against Thor on Sunday. I'll be back next weekend though!
  5. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread XAVIER WREX THE PARTY Wrexham 2 - 3 Ipswich Town Alan Kasaev (3) Chinedu Obasi (36) Fernando Belluschi (42) Jonathan Viera (79) Cleiton Xavier (82) Great game to watch on the new score centre! We went 1-0 up when Kasaev struck one into the bottom corner after beating two defenders. The plonker then gets sent off after 14 minutes for cropping Micael. Obasi levelled the scores up after linking up well with Dembele but we retook the lead when Belluschi slotted home just before half time. Viera thought he'd saved a point for Wrexham after latching on to his own header apparently but it wasn't to be as Xavier scored a free-kick 8 minutes from time. A much needed win for us after taking just 2 points from the previous 3 games. That sneaks us back into the play-offs at Wrexham's expense. We're struggling for depth at the minute so if anyone wants to make me any realistic 2-for-1 deals then get in touch.
  6. Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread CIRO IMMOBILISES DONNY Doncaster Rovers 0 - 3 Bolton Wanderers Ciro Immobile (23) Ciro Immobile (26) Markel Susaeta (68) Weird game. We had 66% possession, got battered 18-7 on shots on goal but won 3-0. Immobile marked his debut with two goals and an assist and rightly won MOM. That win sneaks us back into the top 6 after 3 games. Next up we face an unmanaged Sunderland who haven't had the best of starts but have an awesome team.
  7. Re: EC2933 Discussion thread- SPURS AND FULHAM FREE!! AAARRRGGGGGHHHHH... Lincoln City 1 - 0 Wigan Athletic Nicolai Muller (69) This game world hates me. My 90-rated side was beaten 1-0 by an unmanaged 82-rated side. We're 4 points off the play-offs now with 4 games remaining which feels like a stretch too far given our recent run. We've only managed 3 wins from 8 since I took over. Time for another tinker with the tactics I think! I've just flogged 11 youth players to get the balance back into the black. It's starting to look like a case of getting this season over with and then rebuilding the team into something that works. If anyone is interested in any of my players then feel free to drop me a message.
  8. Re: English Championship 8888 Discussion Thread EAGLES TOPPLE LEAGUE LEADERS Crystal Palace 3 - 1 Dagenham & Redbridge Stephan El Shaarawy (7) Aaron Ramsey (21) Aykut Akgun (76) Carlos Casemiro (85) Great result for us last night as we beat top of the pile, Dagenham & Redbridge, by three goals to one. That win takes us up into 5th as Rotherham lost but there's not a lot in it from 1st to 7th right now. Very pleased with that after failing to win the last two matches. A bit more activity on the transfer front for us this week: Cleverley will come in to provide cover in the centre of the park. His rating is on par with Casemiro's at 86 but Casemiro has been good in front of goal recently so Cleverley won't jump straight into the first team just yet. Wasn't sure whether to sell Jonathan or not but decided to chance it to free up some cash to bring more players in. I was really surprised that no one else went in for Hoilett after I placed my bid. Managed to steal him in a straight swap for Matt Jarvis. Both rated at 87 but but Hoilett is four years younger and can also play up front when needed. Now I just hope he makes the right move IRL and puts in some decent shifts to boost that rating! One rating change too: - Haritz Albisua - 72 -> 74 He doesn't seem to be all that so I may look to move him on now he's got a little bit of a value to him.
  9. Re: Gold Championship 100 Match Reports | Transfers GAME OVER FOR FIORENTINA? Fiorentina 2 - 3 Genoa Silvano Raggio Garibaldi (14) Andrea Caracciolo (17) Stefano Mauri (35) Michael Perrier (74) Victor Obinna (87) ---------------------------------------------------- Fiorentina 1 - 0 Catania Andrea Lazzari (83) A 3-2 defeat against lowly Genoa is likely to have ended our chances of landing the Division 1 title this season. We were outplayed from start to finish although I knew it wasn't going to end well as soon as we conceded a goal to a biscuit in the 14th minute. We did, however, manage to score a late winner against Catania last night and Claudio Marchisio is back from suspension for the final run in. We find ourselves 7 points off top spot with 6 games remaining so the title appears to be heading to Inter but we'll do what we can to try and close the gap!
  10. Re: GC19 discussion / rumours etc thread DONE AND DOSTED VfL Wolfsburg 2 - 0 FC Shalke 04 Bas Dost (6) Wolfsburg edged closer to an SMFA Champions Cup place as we made it four wins from four last night since I took over. Bas Dost scored his 10th goal of the season from 13 appearances to seal all three points in a game Schalke dominated. The goal came after six minutes when Ramsey swung a ball in from the flank which Dost volleyed home from the penalty spot. Hamburger, Bremen and Hannover all won to keep the pressure on Wolfsburg who currently lie in 2nd spot and this weekend's game versus Hamburger could well decide who finishes 2nd behind newly crowned champions, Bayern Munich. I'm currently taking offers for Romelu Lukaku (19 year old, 88 rated CF) if anyone is interested. I'm looking for an 89/90-rated winger ideally. Send me a message if you're interested.
  11. Re: English Championship 7345 Discussion Thread BJORN TO SCORE Chesterfield 2 - 0 Burton Albion Bjorn Sigurdarson (26) Gary Gardner (57) After our heroics beating Birmingham in the cup during midweek I had to rest a few of the regular first team players and it very nearly cost us. Despite winning 2-0, we managed 2 shots on goal to their 11. Thankfully, ours went in and captain, Joe Hart, played a blinder between the sticks. Bjorn Sigurdarson capped his debut with a goal and picked up the man of the match award. A long punt down field from Bjelland landed right on his nugget to break the deadlock. The second goal came just before the hour mark and was again created by Bjelland as he won the ball and fed in Gardner who lost his man and tucked it home. The result keeps us top by a point but Rick's Palace side are still breathing down my neck. I was watching the live scores hoping their game would stay 1-1 and allow me to pull away but I blinked at the wrong time and it was suddenly 3-1! We're ten games unbeaten in the league but face an unmanaged Rochdale side with a higher average rating than us next so we'll see what that brings.

  13. Re: ♥La Revolution - Win Prizes!♥ SIGURDARSON IS THE MAINZ MAN Albacete 2 - 2 1.FSV Mainz 05 Marcel Risse (9) Antonio de le Calle (43) Niko Bungert (77) Bjorn Sigurdarson (81) We upset the odds tonight as our 82-rated team stole a point at home against the 87-rated Mainz team. Debutant, Bjorn Sigurdarson, set up the first goal before scoring the equaliser himself nine minutes from time. With Sampdoria and Osasuna making up the other two teams in the group, I don't expect us to qualify. Mixed bag for us tonight as our team was reviewed by SM: - Antonino de la Calle (82 --> 80) - Chamorro Tete (76 --> 77) Granell Adria also lost his Mid position which is a pain because he's now an LM and I was playing him CM. I'm tinkering in the transfer market to repair that. Expecting a couple of players to join up and then I can start selling again. Money seems to be flowing well at the club so that's a good start.
  14. Re: English Championship 7345 Discussion Thread YOU'RE GETTING SACKED IN THE MORNING... Birmingham City 2 - 5 Chesterfield Adam Hammill (5) Jack Wilshere (10) Youssouf Mulumbu (36) Igor Denisov (62 pen) Borges Romulo (69) Tim Matavz (72) Correia Adriano (83) No, really, he is. The Brum manager hasn't logged in for 29 days which may explain why his 88 rated team were demolished at home by my 85 rated team. Hammill took just 5 minutes in a Chesterfield shirt to score his first goal for the club on his debut. We head to garymack's Bolton on 23rd July in Round 3 as a 'reward'. Next up is the visit of a pretty good unmanaged Burton Albion. Schrock will go straight into the team at RB with his 83 rating. Has just signed for Hoffenheim on a free transfer after four seasons in the 2.Bundesliga with Greuther Furth. Could get a rise if he breaks into the team there but the extra £1.3m on the re-sale value is more important. I'm still looking to move the following players on if anyone takes a shine to them: Toms Rajeckis - Def - 17 years old - 73 rated - £150k Michael Keane - Def - 19 years old - 75 rated - £450k James Wallace - CM/AM - 20 years old - 77 rated - £950k
  15. Re: English Championship 8000 - Discussion Thread BOLTON EDGED OUT BY A BUNCH OF ADDICKS Bolton Wanderers 1 - 2 Charlton Athletic Roman Neustadter (5) Borges Romulo (56) Sebastien Leto (75 pen) Dagnabit, I totally forgot about the 3 games a week thing when you're not in Division 1. Depth suddenly becomes a bigger issue than I'd hoped! We got off to a good start when Neustadter poked home from close range but we were pegged back just before the hour mark after a fancy chip from Romulo. Leto scored the winner with a penalty. That result drops us to 9th in the table tonight. Bennett has gone to free up cash. I'm just trying to shift Chris Eagles now and then I'll be in a position to bring in another player or two.
  16. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I've been offered Kevin Gameiro (90) for my Romelu Lukaku (88) in a competitive Gold setup. I only play one up front and rotate between Dost and Lukaku so Gameiro would easily fit in. Lukaku has moved to Chelski too fast in my eyes and Gameiro hasn't had a great time but could be a hit at Valencia. Looks a no brainer on paper but I don't know much about Gameiro. I think I should accept it but wanted someone to agree with me first!
  17. Re: Gold Championship 174 Thread MONTPELLIER HSC UPDATE Montpellier HSBC 1 - 0 AS Saint-Etienne Joris Marveaux (28) Another decent win for us on Saturday night. The stats were very evenly balanced so we can count ourselves lucky to come away with all three points from this one. Marveaux scored his first goal of the season from a strike that took a "wicked deflection" and picked up MOM in the process. The game didn't come without it's casualties though as we lose Bedimo, Yanga-Mbiwa and Giroud for tonight's French Shield game against Stade Lavallois and our mid-week league game against Bordeaux. A couple of tough games against Bordeaux and PSG coming up who have both had strong starts. The reserves will get a run out tonight to make sure the regulars are fit for Wednesday but our 100% record is likely to come to an end this week. For now, the table looks like this: A bit of transfer news too: Tinhan has been sold to Chateauroux. At 23 years old and only rated 78 with virtually no playing time last season, he doesn't appear to be a great prospect. Decided to cash in to boost the transfer kitty a little. Other than that, just the usual... What seems like hundreds of offers for Giroud have been rejected. I've taken him off the transfer list because people seem to think I will accept ageing 86/87 players and cash for a guy that has the potential to reach 91/92+ if he performs at Arsenal.
  18. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Theophile-Catherine (87) or Santos Dante (89)? Is Dante likely to play at Bayern? Does Theophile-Catherine have the potential to rise above 87 with Rennes? Both would make it into my starting XI.
  19. Re: Available GC Teams (This is NOT a Discussion Thread) I have just rejected an untouched Galatasary in GC173. Only 3 games into the first season. 2x 89 7x 88 2x 87 SM wants a slap offering them to a Leeds fan.
  20. Re: GC19 discussion / rumours etc thread VFL WOLFSBURG UPDATE Hertha BSC 1 - 2 VfL Wolfsburg Valeri Domovchiyski (64) Alex Sandro (67) Alex Sandro (89) The stats made this game look a lot more comfortable than it actually was. A double from Sandro wrapped up all three points with the winner coming in the last minute of the match. All but one of the top six won this weekend but it was 4th place Werder that lost allowing us to stretch the gap to 4 points. The top three qualify for the SMFA Champions Cup so this is a much welcomed result. We face 10th place Shalke in mid-week and Bayern can effectively seal the title if they beat Kaiserslautern. No transfer news to update you on. Still open to offers.
  21. Re: ♥La Revolution - Win Prizes!♥ ALBACETE UPDATE ASA 3 - 3 Albacete Granell Adria (1) Henri Lansbury (8 pen) Henri Lansbury (24) Joel Obi (36) Robert Snodgrass (40) Sergio Molina (55) I'm pleased with this result. gonich_losova has bought well and judging by the stats, we were well beaten here this evening. Thankfully, we had enough about us to come back from 3-1 to steal a point. The most pleasing thing has to be that we only lost £40k despite playing away from home which means we can go and dabble in the transfer market a bit more. Another player from my beloved Leeds United. Lees broke into the first team last season and was the highlight of a pretty poor defence. He's only 21 and next season he'll be playing alongside a much more experienced back four so hopefully he can establish himself and get a rating rise on his current 80. This one is a bit of a gamble. He hasn't had any playing time for Schalke over the past couple of seasons but has just signed for Zenit. Hopefully he can kick-start his career there and establish himself enough to make this transfer worthwhile. This young chap has just signed for Wolves from Lillestrom IRL. He's been a regular for Lillestrom for the past couple of seasons and has scored 16 in 57 games. He's not prolific but if he establishes himself at Wolves and scores a few goals then he may get a small increase. If Wolves go one better and get promoted then he could be playing PL football next season which is a big plus.
  22. Re: DvG World Tour: TEAMS AVAILABLE (challenge yourself) QATAR SC UPDATE Qatar SC 5 - 3 Zimbru Julio Alves (9) Rok Brajic (15) Julio Alves (21) Steven Zuber (39) Jordan Rhodes (44) Sasa Markovic (55) Tomislav Pavlov (80 pen) Sahin Aygunes (83) In the words of the Kaiser Chiefs, "Oh my God, I can't believe it, Qatar SC won a game and scored quite a few goals too" or something like that. My plan? Score more goals than the other team. The result? We scored more goals than the other team. How did I do it? That would be telling but it did involve a sprinkling of Viagrabix (an almost fatal mix of Viagra and Wheatbix). Truth be told, we beat a pretty poor Zimbru side by just about outscoring them. It doesn't look like it was much of a game for the purists but I'm sure the bumper 991 strong crowd were glad they turned up. That win now means we have been promoted to the 94th best team in the gameworld. We seem to be playing the 100th best team (aka, bottom of Division 5) on Thursday and I can't wait. We can score 5 goals past some Moldovan team, but can we cut it on a cold Thursday night in Scotland? Probably not. So, errrm, hope you all got the results you wanted and BUY MY PLAYERS. They're dead good. Well, they're good at playing dead for 90 minutes most weeks. Everyone is for sale because apparently they're worth £52.1m in total and I have only got two camels and a portable toilet (long story) left in the transfer budget.
