  1. Re: Gold Championship 173 Thread Rennes for me. Let the bidding war for M'Vila commence!
  2. Re: Gold Championship 100 Match Reports | Transfers 2-0 Bad result for us tonight against a real quality Napoli side. Ribery and Jovetic goals sealed the win for the home side in a result which sees us drop to 3rd. It's not the end of the world because Roma only drew so we're still only 3 points off the top spot. We could and should win the next two games so we'll see where we are after that. I'm happy to listen to offers for Zaccardo (88 RB/CB) at the minute because I seem to have 4 decent right-backs now. I'm after players aged 16-23 rated 84-86 in return (two players or one + cash). I'll be selling Gaspar (87 RB) when his transfer ban has ended too.
  3. Re: English Championship 8888 Discussion Thread 6-2 Aaron Ramsey (1) Carlos Vela (2) Carlos Vela (3) Moura Leandro (25) Pinheiro Kleber (57) Pinheiro Kleber (61) Jose Maria Lopez (75) Aaron Ramsey (77) I really wasn't expecting this result! Rotherham were 2nd in the form table going into the game but we found ourselves 3-0 up in 3 minutes which goes some way to settling nerves!! A brace each for Vela, Ramsey and Kleber sealed all three points and the four goal swing just edges me above Rotherham into 5th place in the table. TRANSFERS: It's gone a bit quiet. Vaz Te joined Southend on loan while I wait to see if he gets a rating bump now he's a Premiership player. I'm happy with my young starting XI, just a case of improving the depth now: --------------------- Rafael (86) --------------------- ----- Rincon (87) --- Jagielka (89) --- Insua (88) ----- El Shaa (86) - Suarez (88) - Casemiro (86) - Jarvis (88) -------------------- Ramsey (88) --------------------- --------------- Kleber (87) - Vela (88) ----------------
  4. Re: EC2933 Discussion thread- GOOD TEAMS FREE SO COME JOIN!!!!! 1-3 Andrea Pirlo (15) Serigne Kara (20) Mamadou Sakho (48) Mamadou Sakho (87) Decent win for us tonight against unmanaged Doncaster. It took two goals from CB Sakho to win us the game but a win is a win. Pirlo scoring on his debut was a nice touch too. The win keeps us 6th but closes the gap to Port Vale in 5th to 5 points. Cavani somehow picked up MOTM despite no goals or assists. TRANSFERS: Nothing exciting I'm afraid. John Rooney moved to Walsall for £101k to try and reduce the deficit a little. I'm always open to a bit of wheeling and dealing so if anyone wants to do any deals then give me a shout.
  5. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread 5-1 Alan Kasaev (38) Hugo Campagnaro (48) Javier Saviola (63) Bafetimbi Gomis (73) Alan Kasaev (82) Cleiton Xavier (83) Great win for us. Table hasn't updated yet but it should move us from 10th to 7th, just one point off the playoffs. Xavier got MOTM on his debut with a goal and three assists.
  6. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Cheers all. Repped where I can.
  7. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread IPSWICH LOOKING AT TOTAL REBUILD So, I've been here about a week and have had a think about where I want to go with the team and it looks like youth is the way. Everyone is for sale. In return for the higher rated players, I'm looking for a couple of younger players 20-24 years old rated 85-87. I'm open to offers (although I do like a counter-offer!) and feel free to message me if you're after anyone in particular. Squad is below if anyone wants a rummage.
  8. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... My Ganso in exchange for Gerrard? Ganso is the highest rated player in my starting XI. Would you do it?
  9. Re: European Championship 1934 SEVILLA UPDATE MATCH REPORT: I was knocked out of the Euro Champ Cup in Round 1 this evening against a very strong Bayern Munich side. We drew 1-1 away from home and went out 5-4 on penalties. I'm quite pleased with the result overall because we had our second string team out against a much stronger Bayern team and it went to penalties before we were beaten. Alex Teixeira scored our goal on his debut to level up the scores three minutes from time after Rossi scored their opener in the first 15 minutes. This gives us a chance to concentrate on the league now and trying to get promotion to Division 1. TRANSFERS: Since my last update, we've bolstered the youth ranks further with the signings of Mattia Destro (85) despite hot competition from Manchester United, Aleksandar Dragovic (87), Roberto Firmino (87) and Andre Carrillo (86). We've also sold Andres Palop (87) who is 38 years old now. A deal for a replacement and new first team 'keeper has been agreed and should go through tomorrow.
  10. Re: Gold Championship 100 Match Reports | Transfers MATCH: A new club record was set tonight as we beat Bologna 4-3 at home in Round 2 of the Italian Cup. With one eye on Wednesday's game at Napoli, some of the fringe players got 90 minutes but got the job done. We only managed four shots on target but when all four go in, you don't mind too much! We had to come from behind after conceding in the first minute and gave the lead away twice in a real thriller but goals from Raffaele Palladino, Roman Shirokov, Simone Padoin and Victor Obinna sealed our passage into Round 3.

  12. Re: European Championship 1934 SEVILLA UPDATE I took over at Sevilla on Tuesday and have been busy beavering away since then trying to get the squad sorted for a promotion push to the promised land of Division 1! MATCH REPORT: Last night we played a strong Roma side at home and drew 1-1 which was disappointing given that they only had one shot on target. Kalou opened the scoring for them on 27 minutes after "smashing it into the roof of the net with venom". We equalised on 63 minutes after Luis Filipe curled a shot around their 'keeper on his debut. The point drops us from 2nd to 3rd in the table after 3 games but we face Arsenal during midweek who currently sit top of the pile. TRANSFERS: It's been a busy first week as I try to work out who to buy, keep and sell. I've bought in a few loan players from Manchester United in Thibaut Courtois (88), Claudio Marchisio (91) and Javi Martinez (91) who all go straight into the starting XI. I've also bought in some players permanently with Oliver Baumann (87), Etienne Capoue (89), Henrik Mkhitaryan (89), Pereira Maicon (89), Luis Filipe (89), Sergio Assenjo (87), Tomas Necid (88), Alex Texeira (88) and Alex Sandro (87) all joining the club. I'm expecting the arrivals of 4 more players over the next day or so as we look to improve the starting XI and build up the youth ranks. I'm happy to listen to offers for Jesus Navas (92) who is clearly my strongest player but I'd be looking for a couple of players in return. Make me an offer or send me a message if you're interested.
  13. Re: EC2933 Discussion thread- GOOD TEAMS FREE SO COME JOIN!!!!! TRANSFERS: As expected, Paulo Henrique Ganso has signed for Sunderland in a straight swap for Andrea Pirlo. Sunderland looking towards the future with Wigan concentrating on the here and now. Pirlo will partner Sami Khedira in the Wigan central midfield. I'm currently looking for an AM and a LB at the moment. Happy to sacrifice Anderson (90 CM) and Kolarov (89 LB/LM) respectively as part of those deals. I'm still in the red (argh) so I'm relying on you wonderful folk to approach me if you're interested in doing anything. Darlo, I am a negotiator, but offering Palombo for Ganso wasn't setting my world on fire and the Pirlo bid came in around the same time and worked for both teams. Sometimes it happens like that.
  14. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Back again! I've recently taken over a team in a very competitive English Championship. I'm in Division 3 but the team is amazing for the league we're in. I've just accepted an offer to exchange my Ganso for Andrea Pirlo. I'm a huge fan of Pirlo and it will benefit the starting XI immediately. Can you have a look at my before and after teams and tell me which you'd go for? -------------------------- LENO (87) ------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- RICHARDS (90) --- SONG (91) --- SAKHO (90) --- KOLAROV (89) -------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- KHEDIRA (92) --- S.BENDER (90) --------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- MUNIAIN (90) --------- ANDERSON (90) --------- DEMBELE (89) -------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ CAVANI (92) ------------------------- I have Gonalons (89) and Ganso (89) on the bench that would act as cover for Kedira and Bender. If I sell Ganso then Pirlo would come straight in to replace Bender... -------------------------- LENO (87) ------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- RICHARDS (90) --- SONG (91) --- SAKHO (90) --- KOLAROV (89) -------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------- KHEDIRA (92) --- PIRLO (92) ---------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- MUNIAIN (90) --------- ANDERSON (90) --------- DEMBELE (89) -------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ CAVANI (92) ------------------------- I think Pirlo is a steady 92'er for a season or two more whereas the consensus seems to be that although Ganso is a good prospect, he might not make that breakthrough for a few years and may not have the pace to make him world-class. What do you think, good deal?
  15. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I have Antonio di Natale in one of my GC teams. He's still one of the better forwards in the game at 92 but he is 34 now and I don't know whether to stick or twist. I know if I get rid of him then I won't get a truck load of cash or world class players in return but I was wondering what you would accept if you were selling him? My next best forward is only 87 so do you think swapping him for an younger 89 rated striker would be good business or would you hold on to him and let him retire in a year or two?
  16. Re: Gold Championship 100 Match Reports | Transfers MATCH: We made hard work of beating unmanaged Siena this evening but eventually came away with a 3-2 win. Henning Hauger opened the scoring for Siena after six minutes but Raffaele Pallodino levelled up the game scoring his third goal in six appearances with a curling effort from 25 yeards. We took a deserved lead after 65 minutes when Simone Padoin got his shot off early to beat the 'keeper. The lead only lasted four minutes though after Emmanuel Villa headed home an equaliser on 69 minutes. The three points were eventually confirmed in the 74th minute when Captain Fantastic Claudio Marchisio bundled the ball home from close range to score his 14th of the season. Roma (1st) and Inter (3rd) also won so we remain 2nd on goal difference alone. We have a cup game against Bologna in mid-week before facing Napoli in a tough game away from home so we'll need to be at our best to keep the pressure on the league leaders. TRANSFERS: We've sold Sebastien Frey (90) to Borussia Dortmund with promising youngster Sven Ulreich (88) and £6m heading our way. Ulreich comes straight in as our number one as we turn our attention to building a team for the future. I'm still open to offers on all players so feel free to get in touch.
  17. Re: English Championship 8888 Discussion Thread MATCH: Aaron Ramsey turned in a man-of-the-match performance as Palace beat unmanaged Shorpe 3-0 away from home this evening. Ramsey opened the scoring on his debut before "talentless" Carlos Vela also capped his debut with a goal, making it 2-0 just after the break. Stephan El Shaarawy made it 3-0 with 15 minutes remaining to wrap up all three points. The only downside was that we converted just three of the 42 attempts on goal in a real display of dominance. The win sees us leapfrog Sheffield United into 6th place, 8 points off an automatic promotion spot. In Rotherham United, we face the second most in-form team in the league on Wednesday. They currently occupy 5th place so it's important we pick up at least a point to ensure we don't lose touch with the playoff race. TRANSFERS: Just one signing since my last update as hot prospect, Matija Nastasic joins the club from Spartak Moskva with out of favour Ivan Gonzalez and Adam Le Fondre heading in the other direction. No other deals are currently on the horizon.
  18. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread MATCH: My first game in charge at Ipswich ended in a 0-0 draw away from home against a decent Walsall side. They dominated possession but we fashioned more chances although the game looks like it was a bit of a bore in all honesty. That being said, the point takes us up two places to 10th and leaves us just 3 points off the playoffs. We're at home against a solid MK Dons side on Wednesday and I think we'll do well to pick up a point against them. TRANSFERS: I'm expecting Seb Larsson to leave within the next few hours with a replacement coming back in our direction. No other news to report. See my previous post about players I'm willing to take offers on.
  19. Re: EC2933 Discussion thread- GOOD TEAMS FREE SO COME JOIN!!!!! MATCH: First game in charge of Wigan tonight and we beat an unmanaged Swindon side 1-0 at home. Moussa Dembele got the only goal of the game, his sixth of the season. The win means we stay sixth and keeps the play off candle burning. We play a weak unmanaged Doncaster Rovers side on Wednesday evening so we need to make sure we're keeping the pressure on the sides above because we're 7 points off fifth place at the moment. TRANSFERS: The only personnel change sees Alberto Botia leave for Sunderland with Sergue Aurier and £3m heading my way. Cover at left back was required and Botia was expendable with Song, Sakho, Maicon and Otamendi already in the team. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Frederic Bulot are available for loan for the rest of the season. I'm also willing to listen to offers for Paulo Henrique Ganso but any offer must include a CM/DM/AM player in return.
