  1. Re: SM site loads slowly It's been largely unusable since 8.00am today - very frustrating. Would it be too much for a member of the management team to come on here and advise us of the problem?
  2. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread "Cobblers now hold a 7-point cushion over new challengers, Norwich..." Yep, The Butcher is definitely carving up the various GWs at the moment... Seem to be trailing you, wherever. Have to say, Northampton's senior squad is a thing of beauty despite the injuries. My lads are a decent, honest bunch if somewhat unspectacular and we'll try to keep you in sight - still another 14 games (42 points) to go...
  3. Re: English Championship 28888 Port Vale FC EC28888 League History Season 1: Division 3 - 1st (P) Season 2: Division 2 - 4th (P) Season 3 Preview (Div1): Back to back promotions see Port Vale enter the top flight and the somewhat daunting task ahead of survival. Isimat-Mirin and Tomovic (both 88) come in at centre half on permanent transfer as well as Kiko (85) to provide cover on the wing. Manchester United U21 trio Hinteregger, Silva and Keita add valuable depth and versatility on loan - the club wishes to extend its gratitude to Kev Junior (Pip) for facilitating this. Vale Park has seen the installation of a further 3,600 seats during the closed season taking stadium capacity out to 26,000. Tonight's friendly against last season's runaway Division 2 Champions, Leeds United, gives a welcome boost in confidence ahead of the new campaign. Vale's 1st choice XI, averaging just 24/87, ran out eventual 5-3 victors in a very open, entertaining encounter.
  4. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Northampton Town FC Are pleased to announce the appointment of ruts66 at Sixfields. The new manager took the reigns at 19:58 on 07.06.14, just 2 minutes prior to Saturday's kick-off. A 2-1 victory in the season's opener against visitors Cardiff City with an extremely hastily assembled side sent the capacity crowd home with optimism for the new campaign. ... Opening marker: 31 players x 83 avg. rating x 24 avg. age (£142.6m)

  6. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Is there a waiting list for 106 (a la 7046) or is it done by word of mouth or periodic checking on this thread? Wouldn't mind joining the fold if anyone wants to give me the nod when a team comes up... ruts
  7. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Good work, Noisy - best of luck against Chelski in the semi...
  8. Re: English Championship 28888 Cheers Daffers, The fact you gifted me an own goal (plus my keeper was MoTM) suggests the game was tighter than the 2-0 scoreline. If anything, I think the difference between the two sides was a slight edge on fitness in Vale's favour. Fair play to you for sticking with Bolton after successive play-off final defeats and I wouldn't be at all surprised if you gain automatic promotion next season. All the best, ruts PVFC
  9. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Sunderland Well done Stuart, back on top... If there's such a thing as a 0-0 hammering I was on the end of it last night to Will's Cardiff (67% possession) and was very lucky to come away with a point. Enjoying this...
  10. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Cheers Riece, I had a feeling it was only 2 days rest but wasn't 100% sure...
  11. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Live Score Centre for ALL competitive fixtures Match Report for friendlies I prefer to run the matches at 'full speed' unless it's a title/play-off decider or cup semi/final...
  12. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Wow - what a game that was, 5-4 to your lads !!! Really enjoyed watching that on score centre; 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3 and then you turned the screw to take a 2 goal lead before I pulled one back. Hate to lose but great stuff, thanks... ruts
  13. Re: Game Worlds With Hardly Any Managers You'll find decent competition in a number of English Championships which are populated by forumers such as; EC7777 EC27777 EC28697 EC28888 EC30000 Hope to see you around... ruts
  14. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Good win, Marc - this result doesn't surprise me in the least. Dale will be looking down the D3 table before long...

  16. Re: New Improvements Yep, SM are listening - they kindly put back the ability to increase the screen zoom level without it causing overlap on PC. My (poor, old) eyes are saved. Cheers, SM... ruts
  17. Re: New Improvements I'd like to endorse the point made about the text being too small to read without suffering eye strain. I previously adjusted my laptop's screen zoom level to 125% to play in relative comfort but the new layout prevents this due to overlap. Headaches aplenty for me (and others, I suspect) if this cannot be addressed... A second irritation is the upcoming matches calendar - why only four days in view? There's space in that grey panel for about 2 weeks. Come on, SM...
  18. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Sunderland AFC ... Pleasantly surprised to see the lads off to a great start in Season 3. ... 3rd - P3 W3 D0 L0 F6 A1 GD+5 ... Next up, a very stern test at OT on Thursday night - United yet to concede a goal...
  19. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Tight game, I thought you'd get a point after Fontas pulled one back with a quarter of an hour to go. Ipswich slowly finding their feet after a very slow start to the season and multiple injuries...
  20. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread ... Sunderland AFC Div1 ... Season 1: 11th - P38 W12 D12 L14 F58 A55 GD+3 PTS48 Season 2: 16th - P38 W12 D10 L16 F65 A66 GD -1 PTS46 ... Dropped 2 points and 5 places showing what a tough middle to lower order it is in Div1. Need to push on in Season 3 via one or two quality acquisitions. ... Great GW - congratulations to all the trophy/promotion winners.
  21. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Matt, Wigan looks to be in order right now - states 'today' on both your squad page and on the club list...
  22. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Good work, Adriano B... 28697 is deffo one of my favourite GW's despite not doing great with Sunderland to date. There's always next season...
