I remember all your work, and those huge discussions through all the treads! I'm here since 2012! Thank you for all that JMH!
And yes, this has been quite dead. But I'm happy to see that people are back! Now, for the end of this year, I think is not worth it, but I'll share my ratings starting next year!

    Cheers to all of you!

Nice effort with the minor leagues, the problem is the valuations formula is so poor for these leagues i dont think you will see much profit. I have been collecting many risers from the minor leagues over the past year or so the profts from sales are so minor, its hardly worth the effort if they are over 21 years old unfortunately.

I wouldn't say I hate him, but you are quite right, I don't like him. However, I don't like Ronaldo more than him. Both of them are not the kind of player that I enjoy watching, I don't own them in any of my teams. I prefer to see the constant hard work of a box to box, or a good full back. But this is not about me.
The point is this kind of epic battle became monotonous, and the SM team somehow likes it that way. We all know they are great, but seriously, does a 98 or 99 make a difference in this kind of gameplay? I don't think so, that's why it's only about the criteria for the rates. If these are supposed to approach the reality, I think that Ronaldo should at least be equal or higher than Messi, even if only during the rest of the season.
Anyway, I just wanted to one more point of view to this tread, in terms of gameplay, I couldn't care less. Actually, in my strongest and oldest Game World, both of them are in the same team! Cheers!

Re: Liga BBVA Ratings Predictions thread
I just love all this comments about Messi and Ronaldo. The truth is, and it has been said so many times: Most guys around here prefer Messi because he looks so harmless but yet he is one of the best of all time; Ronaldo looks like an arrogant playboy, so he should play the double he plays to get the credit he deserves.
That's why Ronaldo will always improve, until he brakes something, like a leg, or the rest of Messi's records he has to beat... He will always fight against this general hate that people have for him. Blaming him for the Euro '04 is just ridiculous, comparing him with Messi at international level is useless, since none of them won anything - and no, The Best Player of World Cup '14 trophy, shouldn't count at all...
    NOW WHAT MATTERS IS:
We should understand why was Messi 99 so far and Ronaldo 98. If none of them won a trophy at international level, and both keep breaking records, I guess the Ballon d'Or used to be the reason. Now that Ronaldo proved he is the only one able to beat Messi on that trophy, he should beat Messi also in this game. At least they should have the same rating, but it is clear that if Soccermanager only wants one player at 99, this season should definitely be Ronaldo. The best in the world = The best in the game, otherwise this ratings don't make sense at all.
But hey, just one more random opinion. Haters gonna hate.

I think the main thing here is: Soccer Manager is nearly stagnant. Nothing is going on, besides one or another business and the matches. This new review policy made almost everyone disappear, now everybody show up only for match days...

So, tomorrow we'll have 2 and 1/6 of a team evaluated...? Yesterday 2 teams...
    Before yesterday 3...
What the hell is going on? Do they really have to think so much about Frankfurt and Mainz, they can't finish for once the rest? I don't get it, even Slovenia and Uruguay were faster than this. I'm a recent player, but this has changed quite a bit in the last months...
Maybe it's this winter transition. After that extremely calm December we are starving for ratings =p

Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........
There are some issues that I agree, but I mostly disagree with this new method.
First, I agree with the ratings on the players that will be transfered in January, because they are moving away for some reason (or they are playing really good like Demba Ba, or not playing at all like Joe Cole or Sturridge). If they choose to do this rating they have my support.
But then I agree with most of you, when you say that it is unfair changing ratings to the "popular" players and left other players out. Other thing is, if the base is SoccerWiki (i really don't understand the connection between SW and SM yet) a lobby can be created, and we can vote massively on one player and have the certainty that the player will soon rise.
I don't think this new method will bring more efficiency to the database. If believe that some leagues will continue to be forgotten and not reviewed for about 2 or 3 years. Or worse, maybe two or three players (the popular ones) will be reviewed and the others will be left over until they move out or win the championship.
But hey, this is only an opinion of a unexperienced guy, that only recently understood the rating system =p
    Cheers

    UPDATE TO JMH_daggers LIST
Well, JMH_daggers, here it is my personal contribution to your list on the first page. I only looked t the UNDERLINED players you have there and made some corrections because some of them changed their clubs or for other reasons. All of the UNDERLINED players I don't mention is because I believe they'll rise as you said.
Again, I'm new at this and I'm just trying to help. If you can give your opinion I would appreciate. Here it is:
    ND GORICA
Goran GALESIC is now playing in Belgium
    Sandi ARCON " " " " Israel
Vicente FRANKLIN " " " Olimpija, but still a riser
    NK OLIMPIJA
Damir BOTONJIC doesn't have club in soccerway
(new Additions - Blaz BOZIC(75), 12 games this season, 893 minutes)
    - Andraz SPORAR(76), 16 years old, 12 games, 683 min.)
    - Aris ZARIFOVIC(78), 12 games, 1080 min.)
    NK DOMZALE
Nejc VIDMAR (will only rise to 78 or so, he lost his place to a 17 year old keeper but still has 5 games, 450 min)
Amer KRCIC is now playing in 2nd division
    (new additions - Ziga KOUS(76) , 19 years old, 13 games, 1060 min)
    NK CELJE
Denis POPOVIC moved to Koper, but still a riser (11 games, 808 min)
    Dejan KRLJANOVIC moved to Cyprus
Iztok MOCIVNIK moved to 2nd division (and he is not a first team players)
Roman BEZJAK moved to Bulgaria (and not a first team player there)
    NK MURA 05
(I would underline Nino KOUTER(75), 18 years old, 58 games and 3771 last 3 seasons)
    NK TRIGLAV

Yes some of them are older, but most of them applies for the present.
You can look to JMH and together with Watford and mine, you see in Soccerway.com if they are the risers you seek. Most of them are cheap or youngsters so there shouldn't be any risk.
By the way, it's a shame because I didn't see JMH list before... I saw the preview posts were old so, because I'm still a bit noob, I didn't go to the first page. I saw all the first division teams , I could edit all players. Now, to do that, I would have to check all of them again... Sorry for that JMH, it is in fact a great job what you've done.

    Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013
TIMESLE, I'm a new guy here and I'm AMAZED with all you ratings. I think you were a little bit hard with DUNCAN and BRAULIO, but I understand. You had a hard work doing the entire bundesliga ratings and it seemed they only used your work (when the first answered the second).
But I believe he didn't take profits from others because a few days ago, they both not only helped me with some ratings I asked, but also told me how should I know in the future (like consulting soccerway and other soccer stats, be aware the new teams and players and seeing some real games as well). And it seemed to work because when I saw your ratings today, I already had some of those players (and I'm talking about not-so-known players like SAKAI, KiYOTAKE and AIGNER).
So, thank you all for being so helpful and lets keep the forum pleasent, as a portuguese guy I really think SM and the forum makes everyone enjoy everywhere football!
