2 bad games against torres... going on that logic you should really bring up VVD backpass against napoli that lead to their goal... means he should go down to a 93 now surely using that logic

I'm not judging players based on what they won...? In comparison it seems like the only thing you judge a defender on is red cards. Ramos has scored more goals than vvd, might as well write vvds career off now based on your logic

Saying he is so much better than Vidic is actually very funny. VVD is a very good defender (no doubt), but he doesn't have any competition in the PL (that's a fact) because during the days of Vidic there were serious competitions in the PL with Ferdinand, John Terry (labeled the best PL defender). So saying VVD is so much better is actually an shallow way of thinking cause he has no competition.
He is fortunate to play when there isn't any competition. If he played during Vidic's, Ferdinand, JT, Puyol and Co he won't be rated.

Jeez when did you start watching football, last year? He's good but you're comparing him to players who were at the level vvd is currently at for hundreds and hundreds of games. Ramos for example has been one of the best cbs in the world since 2009 or 2010, van djiks been at that level for 18 months ffs 😂😂😂

    ANNOUNCEMENT
Out of respect Unión Atlético Maracaibo will not play Junior Malanda for the rest of the season, with this in mind I will allow them to purchase a replacement player for him meaning they have a squad cap of 26 until he retires on the game. RIP Malanda a big loss!

*Obviously a team is not permitted to win more than one prize per season so the prize will be given to the runner up, so everyone needs to fight till the end. Also if anyone sees any errors in my workings out, then please let me know

Brighton and Hove Albion appoint their manager!
In recent reports, it has been confirmed that Brighton and Hove Albion have officially appointed Yaztral as their new manager.
The young manager has been given a major influx on the team budget as the board feel that he's the one to take the club to great heights. The manager has been awarded £150m to build an established team.
It's no question that i've wanted this job, the club is brilliant and their fans are brilliant, I believe that we're going to get on like a house on fire!
I've got many different avenues that I can take this club, the ways that i've planned will take time but I believe that once we reach the heights expected then there will be no club in the world who will be able to stop us from achieving glory!
I've been drafting my shortlist for a while now, hoping that I can find the necessary players that I need for this team, both experienced and old.
The scouting system at this club will be great, we will get young guys in and introduce them to the team slowly as to not hinder their potential future to the club, the squad will be rotated around a bit as that's what i'm a fan of.
It's going to be a challenge creating a side with 25 players, but with out generous influx of funds, I can't see this being a problem. We just need to buy players for the right price and not overspend on them. I study the transfer market and know who will be best in what position for this club.

I totally agree with what everyone has been saying and I really appreciate everyones feedback so with everything into consideration we will have:
    £150m Budget
    Squad Cap of 25
You can keep a player once he goes over the age of 21 but you cannot buy a player over the age of 21 (as stated, you want to find gems) don't forget there is no limit of age when buying from another manager (which is what i want to encourage because i have never seen a world where managers buy form each other)
Is there anything else i have missed?

    [MOVE]DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONS!!![/MOVE]

It has been a long hard season that went right down to the wire!
Matthew Sampson steered AFC Wimbledon to victory against Southend United.
AFC Wimbledon outclassed Southend United and beat them 2 - 1 in their Division 2 fixture.
Nicholson scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Akinfenwa was also on the scoresheet for his side.
The celebrations after the game could only be described as outrageous.
In a statement Sampson said "It has been a phenomenal season for us, the young lads we brought in to the group gelled so well with our current squad, i am so proud of them all. A big thanks must go out to Matt Tubbs our striker on loan, i would love to sign him permanently but do to the rules i am not aloud to do that, next season we will have to kick on without him but i have every faith that this team can beat the drop next year and cement a dominant position in Division 1"
A reporter asked Sampson why he has been so quiet in the news until today, "I'm a man of superstition, i believed if i continued to work hard with the team without the distraction of the media and coming out to say how well we are doing that there was a chance it could all be thrown away, especially with it coming down to the final day, but we have done it, we have won and now i can finally speak to you guys and again say how proud i am of my team"
