  1. Any ideas when the Belgian league will be reviewed next?

  3. Re: Official Aston Villa Thread ! * no spoilers * Tell me more about Lichaj. Seems like a solid signing for us, and i'm sure he'd want to really impress and push for a place in Team USA for next years world cup (not sure how high his chances of making the squad are, even if he has a terrific season for us). Is he solely a right-back, or can he accomodate in other areas? I say this, because Lichaj's capture coincides with the signing of another right-back for us in Gonzalo Jara from WBA (sorry lads). Jara had a great loan stint with us last season, and became a firm fans-favourite with darting runs on the flank and a maturity in defence. Forest do lack in the centre of defence, so wondered if Licaj could be considered there, or at LB? He had a good stint with Leeds a couple years back in the Championship, and hopefully the Prem experience plays a factor for us this season.
  4. Re: THE PROTÉGÉ - The Battle for the Big Break I seem to be having the worst form i've ever had with this team this season. In no GW i'm apart of have i been so poor with a team. Especially with how promising i was doing with them when i took over them in the back end of last season. Surely, just surely, things can only get better
  5. Re: .:10000 bc:. 25 GAME UNBEATEN RECORD ENDED!! CELTIC'S unbeaten league record has finally come to an end after going 25 league games without defeat. A 2-0 home defeat, suffered at the hands of JUVENTUS, in which was a tight affair with CELTIC wasting many chances by dominating in shots, but the accuracy in JUVENTUS man Laquinta means the Italians scored 2 goals from their only shots on target. CELTIC manager RayNFFC was slightly disapointed, but stated ''all good things eventually come to an end.'' ''Hopefully our boys pick up their fighting spirit, and battle hard to the end, to reclaim our Division 1 title.'' (dammit)
  6. Re: .:10000 bc:. David Villa (94) £180,000 + 88 rated player + 84 rated player.
  7. Re: Club Finances - new view and charts.... There is a positive from this for me. It's made me realise that (especially with the recent changes with loans/wage structure to 92+ rated players), every single one of my teams (inluding the lower division teams with low wages) are losing money every week. The only way i can get a + in income is selling my players to keep up wage payments for a few weeks. What started off as a fun game in my spare time, has now turned into a chore unfortunately, and i just don't have the time for it anymore. That's just my personal stance, nothing against any member that still enjoys the game, or to the SM owners that are from their point of view, making the game more enjoyable and better. That's cool and all, just not for me thanks.
  8. Re: Liga BBVA Ratings 2012/2013 Ruben Garcia of Levante. 83 rated 19 year old. Can he get 85/86 at the end of season? 19 starts this year (1600+ minutes)
  9. Re: .:10000 bc:. Exactly. Expecting nothing less than a thrashing.
  10. Re: .:10000 bc:. Celtic on suicide tactics tonight in a new bid to regain the Division 1 title against the might of Borussia Dortmund. Unfortunately my first team isn't fit enough for the first game of the new season due to the Charity Shield defeat to Man City, so my second string will have to find some heart and balls to dig deep for a positive result.
  11. Re: FA Cup Absolutely awesome!!! Crying shame if they are to be relegated.
  12. Re: Badstuber deal Keep your 2. Both should get a rise of at least +1 in the near future.
  13. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... MASCHERANO? or PEPE?
  14. Re: .:10000 bc:. Well done mate. My boys got caught up in the occasion too much and were like deer's caught in headlights at times. On to the new season we go.
  15. Re: Northern European ICON (The ICON Games) I wish i had a win. A very forgetful season for France.
  16. Re: The Official Npower Championship Thread Well done Leicester. Probably deserved the victory over us. I think i left excrement all over my seat at the end of the game - need a new seat for my next season ticket. At least Billy Davies will have the summer to sort out a proper squad. Defence needs a complete makeover, a winger, and an out an out goal-scorer. The amount of chances our midfield provides, it's heartbreaking not to see us convert our chances. On to the next season, Championship - most exciting league bar none.
  17. Re: .:10000 bc:. CELTIC: DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS!!! A tough 3 way battle between Celtic, Juventus and Shaktar throughout the season for the Division 1 title ensured an exciting finish. Celtic thrashed B. Munich 6-2 to lift the title in front of their homecrowd. The team will celebrate and party hard after their hardwork through the season, but have been warned to look after their livers as unfortunately, time is not on their side. ''Pah, age is just a number'', says Giggs (looking ahead to his 40th birthday). The team will regroup and are looking ahead to the Champions Shield with Manchester City.
  18. Re: FROM RAGS TO RICHES - A Rise To Prominence @ Duncan I think your mis-understanding the input of Scottish teams. This is a custom setup, so jkerrs can select any team he wants to participate in the set-up. The original idea was to select a complete English club set-up, but to make the teams more even, he suggested adding Scottish teams with similar value/attendances to the English teams. The set-up will include both English and Scottish managed teams, with the higher divisions consisting of the highest valued English teams (i think).
  19. Re: .:10000 bc:. FC Basel 1 - 2 CELTIC Celtic are on the verge of claiming the Division 1 title after defeating FC Basel 2-1 in their encounter. A second half Quagliarella brace in 2 minutes (48,50) was enough to cancel out Cani's opener (11) for the hosts. Celtic dominated possesion with 64% to FC Basel's 36%, and was more clinical in front of goal with 7 shots on target from 8. With second place Juventus losing to third place Shaktar Donetsk, momentum has shifted Celtic's way for the Division 1 title. It is now up to the Hoops, who host Bayern Munich at home in their final game of the season, with a 3 point lead and a 7 goal difference advantage over both Juventus and Shaktar, to land the trophy in front of their home fans.
  20. Re: FROM RAGS TO RICHES - A Rise To Prominence I don't see a big problem with it. I'd like all managed teams to be as similar as possible with no big advantages/disadvantages, and clearly the English set-up has a vast difference in squag ratings/values within the same league. As long as the other 3/4 divisions are made up with the strongest possible teams to make it challenging, i'm all for it.
  21. Re: FROM RAGS TO RICHES - A Rise To Prominence Chesterfield valued at 16.4m, averaging nearly 7k per home game. Braintree's whole squad valued at 220K, averaging just under 1.5k per home game. Guess which team will be wanted by the masses lol.
  22. Re: FROM RAGS TO RICHES - A Rise To Prominence I'm in. Couple queries. Team Selection - You say you are going to choose the worst clubs in the English set-up (numbers depending on the league sizes). Is this based on the least valued clubs or just the lowest ranked teams in the division? I say this because there could be a slight disadvantage in the value of the squads, giving a significant edge to certain teams aquiring a target. I'd like to see as much equality in a set-up such as this, so the lowest valued teams should be as fair as possible. Stadium sizes - Not too sure on the sizes of the grounds in the lowest divisions, but again it could give some teams an advantage if they have have attendences that could triple another teams based on size. I imagine many stadiums in the lowest division being around 1-4000 but a possiblilty of a team having between 5-8000 over a team with far less could show in the long run. Thoughts? I could of course, be spouting complete nonsence.
  23. Re: The Official Npower Championship Thread Well done Cardiff. Commiserations to Bristol City. Looks like the manager of the month curse has struck us at the worst possible time. Still only 3 points off 4th place, got a feeling it's gonna be a decider on the last play-off spot in the last game of the season between Forest-Leicester.
  24. Re: .:10000 bc:. Quick query regarding my next opponents Santos. I remember they bought to youngsters under 21 in Isco and Wanyama, but i don't recall the outcome for their punishment. Thus far, they have played both players in games this season. Could someone clarify please? Cheers.
  25. Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Anybody tried this yet? Just predict the results for the remaining games of the season, and it'll update the league based on your predictions. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor/default.stm With my predictions i have Arsenal finishing 3rd as they have a reasonable run-in, but it doesn't show a prediction for the Chelsea/Spurs game, in which should seal 4th place as i only have a point between them without that game included. I've got Reading, QPR and Wigan going down based on my predictions. Give it go.
