  1. Re: Some Talents Charles Renken He is a 14 year old Zambian forward. He is arguably the hottest prospect of Zambian football. Although his birthplace and origin is Zambia he is on his way to play for the U.S. football team. The teenage sensation is dubbed the new Freddy Adu. He moved from Zambia to Illinois in 2003 and his talent earned him a place at St.Louis’ elite youth soccer club Scott Gallagher S.C. In the past three years, the Zambian born teenage sensation has represented the U.S at Under-14 and 15 levels. The left footed striker can also operate as a midfielder. He won the Golden Boot at the Under-15 2006 Manchester United Premier Cup U.S Finals while helping Scott Gallagher to a fifth place finish. Charles also trained at TSV 1860 Munich’s facility for two weeks in August 2006. He has a combination of composure and creativity which earned him a place into the U.S Under-17 Nike friendlies in Florida in earlyy December 2007 and the young Zambian prodigy was given mna of the match performances in the U.S 2-0 double wins over Brazil and Russia. A fan had said "He can see spaces that others can’t see and he has the ability to penetrate these areas with or without the ball." There is talk stating that he will have an assured place in the U.S. WC 2014 squad. He is still eligible to play for Zambia but the football association of Zambia will need to convice him. He is not on the DB yet. He hasn't been mentioned before...so i thought i would give him a mention on this thread. Remember the name folks. I've put it in red. I think this kid is special. Really keep a very very close eye on him. Could be on the database soon. Was shocked that he hasnt been mentioned before. One of my best finds. :D .
  2. Re: Some Talents Have to reactivate this thread again.lol:p . Found some more great talents.
  3. Re: Some Talents Sry Rishabh..completely overlooked this thread. Yea...gr8 find mate. He is a talent. Was a member of the Dutch u17 team. 995 minutes for VVV Venlo. 13 starts 8 sub appearances. 81/82 seems fair for now. samir el gaaouiri is rated 83 and has played less than ofrany. He needs to move out of VVV Venlo for him to rise any higher than that. If he stays in VVV Venlo its gna be a big waste of talent. Perhaps some big club can buy him and grrom the youngster? right now it would be difficult to tell if he will rise above 82(if he gets it).
  4. Re: Christian Trasch Should be added soon. Good informative post:)

  8. Re: Talents priced under 1million. Lucas Scaglia He is a 20 yr old Argentine midfielder playing for Newell's Old Boys. He has made a total of 2 appearances for them this season so far(1 start and 1 sub appearance). He has played a total of 108 minutes for his club. He also made 2 appearances for them last season. He might make more appearances for them as the season is not over yet. He is currently on the DB rated 75, valued at 400k. Would be a good addition to anyones youth squad. He might get more and more appearances for them as he grows older. .

  14. Re: Guardado He has to move out of Deportivo La Coruna. He needs to go to a bigger club and perform there. He has reached as high as he will get in Depor...if he continues to play there...he might stay the same or even drop. He was the standout player in Depor(i heard) and reached a 91.

  19. Re: Tudors Dream League Match Reports And Transfer Thread. Two wins in succession for the new Lyon manager The manager, who was disappointed after the draw against Bremen, is a happy man now that his side has won two games in a row. Both matches were won 3-1 as the manager looks to keep his unbeaten run going. He takes on Manchester United on the 24th and will look to take advantage of their poor form. Valencia1-3Lyon The managers second game in charge saw his side travel to the Mestella to take on high fliers Valencia. It was a full house at the Mestella and Lyon managed to upset the Sapnish gaints with a 3-1 victory. Elano's moment of brilliance produced the first goal of the match as he scored from a spectacular long range effort. 3 minutes later David Villa equalised for Valencia at the 23rd minute. Both teams went into half time disappointed with the half time score at 1-1. Little did the 55000 fans know that this game was far from over. The second half started brightly with, the other Man City signing, Martin Petrov restoring Lyons lead with a fantastic overhead kick at the hour mark. Karim Benzema gave them a two goal advantage six minuted later with a superb header. The manager had taken Kanoute off and put Benzema in at the hour mark and Benzema got his goal after being on the field for just 7 minutes. The score remained 3-1 till the full time whistle and it sparked wild celebartion in the crowd as the Lyon fans prepare for a new era under the new manager. It was Lyons first win after 6 games. Blumer Elano got MoM for his superb performance but the performance of the other former City man didn't go unnoticed. Lyon3-1Lokomotiv Moskva The Russian side made their way to France to take on Lyon coming back from a great win. The manager had said that anything less than 3 points would be a big disappointment. It was Blumer Elano who stole the show again with another spectacular performance which saw him get his second MoM award in succession. Elano opened the scoring in the 26th minute. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov scored an equaliser for lokomitiv just 5 minutes later. Elano got his second just before half time to restore Lyons lead with a great solo effort. Lyon kept pushing for another goal in the second half and it finally came in the 87th minute after Kader Keita cleverly lobs the keeper. Benzema also had a great game after coming on in the second half. Final score 3-1. Elano has been key for Lyon in the last two games.
  20. Re: Relegation Warriors -Match Report and Transfers Thread Charton dazzle in the second half to take all 3 points to the valley The relatively young Charlton side travelled to Spain to face a more experienced Levante. The teams were evenly matched with both maangers desperate for 3 points after losing their first games. Charlton emerged the happier of the two sides after a stunning second half performance. The dutchman Mustafa Riga opened the scoring for Levante after just 20minutes heading a ball coming in from the left. Chartons response was almost immediate with Andy Gray scoring just 3 minutes later after surprising the keeper by striking the ball early. It looked like the match was heading to half time at 1-1 but Levante wasnt finished just yet, in the 42nd minute Riga scored again to restore Levante's lead. Once again Charlton having a lapse in concentration just before the half time whistle. Chalrton manager's pep talk seemed to have worked when Matt Holland urled the ball into the back of the net from 25yards, it took Charlton just 4 minutes to get the equaliser. Leante bombarded the Charlton goal looking for the winner but Nicky Weaver was doing well to keep them at bay. Levante kept hunting for the winner but Federico Fazio, playing sweeper, and Wes Brown, playing Right Back, were rock solid at the back. The game was heading for a draw but Charlton got a well deserved goal at 86 minutes after playing some good football on the counter attack. Andy Gray got his second after latching onto a through ball by Matt Holland. Charlton managed to hold on to be eventual winners of a hard-fought game. "I am delighted to get my first win at Charlton, it will win me some points with the fans". "The boys showed great maturity in the second half to get us the three points" said the delighted manager. The manager credited the performances of Wes Brown, Federico Fazio, Franco Di Santo, Matt Holland and Jerome Thomas who he said was crucial in the victory. Matt Holland finished the game with a goal and a crucial assist and Brown got a well deserved MoM award. Special Performances Matt Holland was pivotal in the victory, getting a goal and an assist. Brown was rock solid at the back Fazio didn't fail to impress after being given the responsibility to play sweeper.
