  2. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Shall i swap my Sandro Alex Silva for Escudero Raul Garcia? I know Raul Garcia was struggling to get games and he was warming the bench for sometime but he has started the last 5 games or so...(New manager?) I don't know whether it is a good swap:o Any help?
  3. Re: Gold Championship 53/Match Reports/Transfers. Mon'bach extend lead to 7 points! 0-3 Borussia Monchengladbach made the trip to the Weserstadion to take on mighty Werder Bremen for the 3rd time this season. Past meetings have seen the Die Folen beat the giants 1-0 and 4-1. Bremen were fielding a full strength team and Sheva wasn't taking any chances either as he put his full team out as well. New signing, Eljero Elia, started alongside Chilean, Daud Gazale. Daud Gazale put the away team in front after he saw his spectacular long range effort end up in the back of the net. The Chilean netting for the 4th time this season in as many appearances. The half time score ended at 1-0. Eljero Elia then doubled Mon'bach's advantage after he smacked a loose ball into the back of the net from range. Again the Mon'bach players showing their ability to create something from nothing. The Dutchman was ecstatic as he managed to score a cracker on debut. Teen sensation, Marko Marin, then rounded off a great performance with a goal 3 minutes before time that sealed a convincing victory for the Die Folen. Candidates for MoM were Marko Marin and Jose Corona and the Mexican goalie managed to pick up his 6th MoM award in another good game in goals. Elia delighted as he managed to score on debut
  4. Re: Gold Championship 27 Match Report Thread Atletico scrape through. Not the most pleasant ways to start off the season for any team when they have to travel to the Santiago Bernabeu to play mighty Real Madrid. For the mouthwatering Madrid Derby, the stadium was packed and only 12 people short of a full house. Raul Garcia was left on the bench and Muntari took his role at CM. Diego Capel was also left on the bench. Real Madrid started the stronger side as Wesley Sneijder hit the bar as early as the 5th minute. The play was concentrated at the middle of the park with both sides struggling to make their way into the offensive half and the Real Madrid defence managed to keep Aguero and Amauri quiet for the first half. Coupet was forced to make some good saves towards the end of the second half. The half ended with Atletico Madrid not getting a single shot on target. The home side clearly being the dominant team. Atletico did get the breakthrough early in the second half and they were rewarded for keeping possession. Good build up play led to David Silva setting Sergio Aguero up for a simple finish. It required some brave defending from Raul Albiol and some good saves from Gregory Coupet to keep Real Madrid at bay and the game got a bit scruffy towards the end. A fight broke off after Wesley Sneijder took out David Silva. He was booked for the tackle but Maniche,Aguero and Amauri got themselves involved unnecessarily which resulted in Maniche getting sent off and the latter two being booked. The game ended with the away side sneaking a victory in a very scruffy game. Scenes from a scruffy Madrid Derby
  5. Re: Signature Design Feedback Excellent work Allan. It looks very good.
  6. Re: Signature Design Feedback Hahahaha lol. This guy never learns:rolleyes:
  7. Re: Gold Championship 53/Match Reports/Transfers. Dutch sensation arrives at Borussia-Park Delight for the fans as Sheva pulled off the signing of one of the most in-demand players. Eljero Elia signed for a whopping fee of 10 million with striking duo of Rob Friend and Marius Pena going the other way. The striker who signed with Red Bull Salzburg last year never really settled in Austria and wanted to establish himself in a bigger league. Naturally when Red Bull Salzburg made the player available, he received offers from all over Europe. Lyon was probably the biggest club that came knocking on his door. Unfortunately for Mon'Bach, the Dutchman's signature cost the club their top goal scorer in Rob Friend but Sheva has placed tremendous faith in the 22 year old. Sheva went on to say that Friend and Pena have done well for the club but i did what he thought what is best for the future of this club. Some say that the manager overpaid for the forward, but Sheva believes that it was a small price to pay for a future star who will develop well in M├Ânchengladbach.
  8. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Alas! there is hope for us all:D Nah kidding mate. Well done:) You better not win another:p --------------------------------------------------------------------- GC 44: My Man City progress to the SMFA Shield Final to play Le Mans. 9. Re: Zampa's Graphics Hideout Zampa, I love you:D Just one little thing matey. Its Fiorentina GC 22 not Fiorentina GC 26. Hope its not too much of a bother to fix:o Valencia was GC 26:o
  10. Re: Carlos Eduardo And Demba Ba If you told Ken via PM that you will give him Ba,Salihovic and Carlos Eduardo for his Olic, then you are expected to stick to your word. I'm guessing the second deal (After Ba and Carlos Eduardo for Olic deal) was that you will sell Ken Sali for cash. I'm sure Ken can confirm this by showing us the PM. If what Ken says is true, then you have violated the code of conduct and this violation is suppose to get your rep docked... In the Marin issue, Ken is referring to cross GC dealing which is also illegal. Last line of your post wasn't very mature
  11. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Lmao Only an hour more to go at max hesse

  13. Re: Gold Championship 22 Match Report / Transfers Thread Gilardino hat trick eases Viola to another win With Juventus and Internazionale on their heels, Sheva said that it was crucial not to drop any points against weaker teams. Fiorentina hosted struggling Cagliari. New loan signing Noboa made his debut for Fiorentina. Injuries to key players at CM like Felipe Melo and Ricardo Montolivo has forced Sheva to look to make the loan signing. The Ecuadorian impressed on debut as he setup up Gilardino for the first and also set Gilardino up for his third goal. Gilardino got the Viola off to good start as early as the 6th minute. However Cagliari responded with an equaliser just 6 minutes later. Sheva was furious at the touchline after some poor communication at the back from Cata Diaz and Francois Clerc. Mutu restored their lead at the stroke of half time much to the relief of the home fans and the manager. 2-1 at the break was obviously not good enough for the manager. Whatever the manager said at half time must have worked as Mutu scored his second 6 minutes past the hour mark. Then Gilardino scored two more in the space of 4 minutes to make the final score 5-1. A convincing performance in the second half ensured that the Viola maintain their point lead above Juventus. Deadly duo deliver once again
  14. Re: NASRI or BEMZEMA? Best player in Arsenal if you exclude RVP means that he is the second best player in Arsenal. He didn't say he was the best player:confused: As for the bit in bold, I fail to see the relevance:confused: All the Original Gooner said was that it is stupid to compare the two players by goals scored. Which is true. The question Smil3r asked was if he should trade Nasri for Benzema. We are making our decision on how we think the two will fair in ratings in the future... Have a think before posting lol...
  15. Re: NASRI or BEMZEMA? Nasri has not met my expectations since moving to Arsenal. Not saying hes being playing bad but he did reach 92 paying for Marseille. And thoroughly deserved it too. The guy was brilliant in France. Not lived upto expectation since moving to Arsenal IMO. When i heard that Fabregas picked up a pretty bad injury, I knew it was going to be bad for Arsenal because that was their creativity base just gone out the window:p. However, i predicted Nasri would step up the the plate and really deliver and i thought he would play well and get Arsenal that top 4 finish. Arsenal struggled to get goals after Fab's injury and the reason being the lack of creativity in midfield (Only 1 goal in their last 4 premier league games?). They often look to some inspiration from Robin Van Persie. Wouldn't say that Nasri has played well since moving to Arsenal. He has been average for me. Good in some games but doesn't really get into others. As for the Benze or Nasri debate? I would go for Benzema because of what Burs said and the fact that i really don't see Nasri rising if he continues to play the way he does. Both very very talented players though... Remember this is my opinion, I don't want any Arsenal fans on my back:p
  16. Re: Zampa's Graphics Hideout Wowie, some of your work is awesome:) Hertha Berlin GC 20 Fiorentina GC 22 Juventus GC 25 Valencia GC 26 Werder Bremen GC 43 Manchester City GC 44 Borussia Monchengladbach GC 53 Sorry Zampa. I would have spread the requests around but i really love your style:o No hurry by the way. Look forward to seeing them. Thanks a lot:)
  17. Re: Gold Championship 53/Match Reports/Transfers. Monchengladbach maintain stunning home form. Monchengladbach remain unbeaten at home and made it nine wins from 11 home games yesterday against VFB Stuttgart. Sheva surprised many when he decided to field a weaker squad. Brazilian Duo Fabricio and Willians were given their debuts in Left Back and Centre Midfield respectively. Walter Gargano and Pablo Amo made way. Patrick Paauwe was not named in the lineup either and debutant Marc Wilson replaced the Dutch veteran in the DM role. Chilean, Daud Gazale, and Romanian, Marius Pena formed the strike partnership. Gazale gave Mon'bach the perfect start when he managed to take advantage of a mix up at the back. Debutant Fabricio was warned early on after lunging in and taking out his man. In the 20th minute, the other debutant, Willians almost sent the home crowd wild but he saw his vicious strike rattle the crossbar. Mon'bach continued to dominate and 8 minutes later, Barnetta managed to hit the post after a great move. Fabricio got into his stride just after the half hour mark as the full back made a great run and almost went all the way only to see his crisp strike go agonisingly wide. At the stroke of half time Gazale managed to get his second to put Mon'back 2-0 up as he once again managed to take advantage of a miss communication at the back. Two gifts for the Chilean forward. As the players walked off the field, Sheva gave his Brazilian duo pats on the back. We might see great things from the pair. Stutggart was looking a much better team after the break and Hitzlesperger forced Corona into a brilliant save. Marin recieved a booking after a reckless tackle in the 50th minute. Pablo Barrientos was provided with a gift but he saw his shot fly over the bar. He couldn't believe he missed an open goal. Changes were made at the hour mark as Sheva used all his subs. Rojas, Barnetta and Pena were replaced by Pablo Amo, Baumjohann and Asamoah. The latter two also making their debuts. Baumjohann made an immediate impact on the game as he set up Marc Wilson to make it 3-0 to the league leaders. Corona made some fine saves during the last half hour but there was nothing he could do about Juliano Belletti's strike. Full time whistle was blown and the home fans went home happy again. Final score 3-1. 3 in 3 games for Daud Gazale®. Marc Wilson marks his debut with a goal.
