  5. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Pie Sports News Bradbury Backs Becks' Loyalty After hearing the rumours that England international David Beckham may soon be linking up with his National team manager James Burrow at Preston North End, Coventry City mastermind Lee Bradbury, who recently won an award for increasing the average distance between a woman's ankles by 200%, immediately had something to say. "I appreciate Mr. Burrow's alleged interest in David. As an Englishman, I think it's wonderful for the manager of the national team to put the welfare of his pla
  6. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread It gets better for you, as Everton beat Sporting 2-1.
  7. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread Doesn't sound too good for United at the moment, judging by my Sky Sports app for my iPhone (subtle product placement for the win! ). It seems as though they're almost complacent.
  8. Re: Play Off for the 4th CL Spot? I'm still on the fence with this idea. Sure, it gives teams like Villa, Spurs etc the chance to get what they crave, but then, it gives them less to play for in the league. You only have to try and get to 7th spot. Makes the EPL somewhat less exciting in the run-in, in that aspect. Also, look at what happened to Ipswich. One season, they qualify for Europe, the next season, they implode and get relegated, never to return. A team could easily run that risk, and be good enough for the league, but not good enough for Europe, and their league form next season su
  9. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Went to sign Carl Baker, in the knowledge he'll rise since joining Cov in real life, only to find that Izod the Sod beat me to him!

  12. I kid you not. Former Manchester United, Norwich, Celtic, and especially Coventry City legend Dion Dublin has invented the 'dube'. The dube is a percussion instrument, a wooden cube (hence the name), with a sound similar to bongos, but with what seems to be more audible range. With 4 different sizes proposed, and a degree of colour customisation, the dube could be more than just a gimmick in the music industry.
  13. Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 Well done sir, it's quite fun to level up again. Best thing I did was play S&D right after prestige. First kill gets you promoted.
  14. Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 Hide-and-seek. The person who is on, Mike Myers, can use only knives and a shotgun, to kill people when he spots them.
  15. Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 I fixed that link for you, you don't need to hyperlink a URL, by the way. It was a funny vid, caught me off guard at first.
  16. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Just looked at the table. I'm not bottom any more! WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE!
  17. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread *Sigh* Another night of matches, another win for me. Typical.
  18. Re: Football Manager 2010 Lee Sawyer? But we only had him loan, and last season at that! How could we have sold him?!?! ::EDIT:: Ah right, it's 2012. But yeah, Christian Nade says it all about the AI for Cov managers. I'll show off my squad later when I hop on FM.
  19. Re: Football Manager 2010 Mind doing a couple of screenshots of that Cov team?

  21. Hey guys. Adam Woodyatt (Eastenders' Ian Beale) has organised a huge charity event at Coventry's very own Ricoh Arena for the victims of the Haiti earthquake a few weeks ago. The fun day, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, February 28th, will feature over 40 soap stars from Eastenders, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, and more to be confirmed (Holby City, Doctors etc.), as well as a funfair and live bands from the region. Tickets are supposedly somewhere in the £10 region. If you have easy access to the Ricoh, just go to the ticket office and buy one. Alternatively, here are so
