  1. Re: col lufc v leamingtonsteve PELLETIERI MAKES INSTANT IMPACT season off and running Villa did it the hard way but came from behind to beat Sunderland in front of the home fans for the first time this new season. Simone Perrotta levelled the game for Villa at 35minutes, but all eyes were on debutant Augustin Pelletieri and he didn't disappoint with a cracking header in the second half that gave Villa the points. Perrotta grabbed his 11th Villa career goal to set Villa on there way before new boy Pelletieri showed what he could do. Villa park was host again for the visit from Bolton Wanderers, and fans were again left not completely satisfied as Villa took a lead through Robin Van Persie but could only hold the lead for eight minutes. Four points picked up in as many days has pushed Villa upto 11th at this early stage of the season. RVP scores his 26th career goal Rafael Figueroa suffered a major setback as the 89rated right back pulled his hamstring and will now miss nine to ten weeks of the season. A massive blow for LS who also has reserve Boris Rieloff sidelined. Apart from them the squad is fit for the trip to Fulham on wednesday.
  2. Super Scandinavians (gc5) MOUNTAIN TO HIGH FOR FC maximum points picked up but no reward FC will have to settle for a fifth placed finish this season after not being able to catch the sides above, although a win over Lyn Oslo gave hope, results have not gone Kobenhavn's way and a win over HJK confirmed 5th place. Lavezzi and Pavone, the lethal argentinians took there total to 25 this season Col's Goteborg on the other hand have everything in there own hands, sitting in second they can secure the runners up spot with a win on wednesday night as the season comes to an end. The curtain comes down for FC at home to champions Hammarby with both sides likely to be much changed. Kobenhavns only ineligible player will be Michael Gravgaard who is missing through suspension. Both sides going into the game have not been beaten in the last six matches.
  3. Re: Gold Championship 5 official match thread Sparky Can lend you TAVANO F/AM 88 and CASTILLO LB/LM 88. put offers in if needed.
  4. Re: Offical Aston Villa Thread ! * no spoilers * Villa fans rejoice MON has landed the Millner, what do we think?? I heard he was playing well so he could move away from St James Park but he was good for us during his loan spell. I reckon he will be great. Any thoughts? Also news that we face Litex Lovech of Bulgaria in the 1st round, now forgive me for being dumb but i thought we would have the group stages now so when does that begin!
  5. The Darlington Challenge (G20/G21) TROUBLE AT MILLERS FOR DARLINGTON Nolan red sees bad start continue It's a slow start to the season for Darlington who find themselves without a point after two games. Defeat tonight against Rotherham means it's back to the drawing board and a look at bringing in some more players. Having bought in Holmar Eyjolfsson(west ham), Mike Pollit(wigan), Mark Wilson(portsmouth), Michael Woods(chelsea) and Eddie Nolan(blackburn), two more players are hoping to sign tomorrow to bolster the starting eleven as we look for our first point on saturday away to Lincoln.
  6. Premier Powers (gc7) VILLA MAKE POSITIVE MOVE Argie pens two year deal After the opening day defeat, Villa fans were picked back up with the news that LS had made a positive move in the transfer market to snap up Sociadad midfielder Agustin Pelletieri. The 90rated Argentine was delighted to sign for one of Englands top clubs as they aim to go better than 4th place this campaign. Signing for £24.3million Villa beat interest from Celtic and Pelletieri is scheduled to make his debut in tomorrows clash with Sunderland. Steve stated that he was a fan of Pelletieri for some time and is keen to bring some goalscoring talent to the midfield. With 17goals and 16assists in 78games Agustin has plenty to offer. Steve has also dropped hints that this may not be the only signing as he is hoping to tie up a defender shortly.
  7. Re: Favorite MJ Song? Thriller without a doubt, remember seeing the video for the first time as a little boy and it scared the hell into me. Great video, great song.
  8. Premier Powers (gc7) VILLA DEFEATED AT ANFIELD opening day jitters for lions After a quiet pre season in which Villa brought no new players fans were beginning to wonder whether that may of cost LS's side on the opening day of the season. Liverpool's star studded side claimed victory by two goals to one with Villa's reply coming from Sergio Pellissier. Villa's opening home game is against Sunderland where we will hope to get off the mark. The fixtures for the cups have been released and Villa meet midland rivals West Brom in the cup 1st round whilst we are awarded a bye in the shield. The more interesting SMFA Champs league has put us in groupC where we must meet Manchester United, Jack Olivers Sevilla and a very tempting tie against Spartak Moskva who Villa beat on the way to winning the SMFA shield in season1. To make it more interesting they are managed by one of Villas best known supporters Mr Adamski.
  9. Super Scandinavians (gc5) HOPES SLIM FOR KOBENHAVN LS still hopefull of strong finish Season4 of the Scandinavian league is coming to a close and with three games to go there is still a battle raging for runners up. With Hammarby running away with the title it's out of Lyn Oslo, IFK Goteborg, Elfsborg and a slim chance for my FC. They take on Lyn in our next game and results pending will determine whether a chance of runners up still exists. Having not finished lower than 3rd this may come down to a dissapointing season but some silverware has been achieved via the cup. Star striker Ezequeil Lavezzi is reportedly fit and the top scorer is determined to grab one more goal to give him his highest scoring total since joining in season2.

  11. Re: The meaning behind your Username. Tried to come up with some funky fun reason for mine but nothing came to mind LEAMINGTON = my hometown and favourite footy side STEVE = my name GENIUS
  12. Re: Setup of the Year 2008 - Qualifying Group 1 GC4 is struggling here but gets my vote as i have just won the league with PSV after many seasons of coming close. A great challenging league with Welshy and Adamski and one day my bro RobbieM if he ever gets his game together.
  13. Re: G.C. Top teams Dont see that idea making alot of difference. With 6' date='500+ gold members the chances of getting a top side are still very slim. The majority of those 6,500+ members that are in GC's probably dont have the same side anyways i know i dont. It all comes down to luck and being on at the right time, however now SM are randomising the time the GC's are made it makes for a more likelihood that the people with the top sides being varied.[/size']
  14. Re: Should I keep Alan Hutton and Darren Bent? Keep Hutton he is going to be a riser this season. As for Bent perhaps i am wrong but for me he is a flash in the pan. He had one good season for a poor Charlton side before his big move to Spurs. Never really got a chance what with Jol leaving and Ramos taking over but then he has had a few pre season games and suddenly started scoring against poorer sides. For me that doesnt warrant a rise and certainly not a England call up. Look at Voronin for Liverpool scored a few in pre season whilst Torres was rested but against poorer sides so you wont see him rising.
  15. Re: The Coca Cola Championship - Official Scores/Results thread LOL come on man every Birmingham game must be a bore. On a serious note i hope all the promotion slots are filled by midlands sides and i think Brummy may edge it with super Kevin Philips on board. The best league in England is going to be another close call and so many sides have the quality to come up.
  16. Re: Offical Aston Villa Thread ! * no spoilers * Very excited, Martin O'Neill starting to show his hand and about time too. Never expected to get Shorey thought he would go to a 'bigger' club. Young is a good signing also and badly needed for our defence. Still need some back up players though.
  17. Re: Forumer Of The Year 2008 - (Qualifying) - Group 1 The rule i'm hoping is too be kicked out of the competition. Too many moaning immature forumers on here complaining that i have too many votes and as i wasnt interested in being in it anyway this was the easiest way to get expelled.
  18. Re: Forumer Of The Year 2008 - (Qualifying) - Group 1 To be fair to me though, it seems a couple of comments on here unjust. I did intially say when the seeds were sorted(because some may recall i was seeded) that i didnt feel i should be taking part as my contribution this year hasnt been great. I was then put into a qualifying group but was still unsure why. This year i have posted 126 times, probably more than most also in this qualifying phase so it's not as if i havent been here. If i go through i apologize as being 30years old i dont need to be part of a popularity contest. It seems alot of people take this a bit too seriously but then they are all alot younger than me, must be maturity . So i appeal to all not too vote for me and let someone more deserving through, i really dont need a forumer of the year title to know i am a top bloke . p.s this will be my 127th post.
  19. Re: Why SM reversed the deal without any reason? There will be a reason to why they have stopped the deal, but you havent listed it here so we can't help properly. However due to the fact that the unmanaged clubs chairman has stopped the deal maybe he is one of there best players and you probably bidded just over the chaimans value. The [?] at the end will tell you all you need to know, and to say SM ignored your ticket is clearly wrong as if they closed it they must have seen it. Assuming they receive countless tickets like these every day, they wont read them as that is what the chairman explained page is for. However list the transfer on here so we may be able to tell you where you went wrong.

    Music Game

Re: Music Game Skunk anansiE Good idea.
  21. Re: Wow Check This Out! Thats cool, didnt really look like anything but still wierd how it happens.
  22. Re: Unfortunate turn of events And i heard you were dealt a lifetime ban for bearing your meat and two veg in the SM chatroom . Nice to have one of the legends back.
  23. Nowadays there are more of these and i would like to see it brought into SM. Have sent them a suggestion ticket so vote for it if you see it up there. When the season ends things can be a little bit boring waiting the week and a bit for the new season to start. What i have suggested to SM is that a member should be allowed to create a four team tournment with games played in a group format meaning three games(monday, wednesday and saturday) . This would also allow the members taking part to have more opportunity to mix and match there team ready for the new season and play teams they normally wouldn't play in the league campaign.
  24. Re: Overview page. Dont normally have a bad word to say about SM but it is very poor the way they have changed the overview page, its almost as if having that information for us too play the game is a hindrance to what they really want too put on the screen which is just to fill it with adverts. Poor showing SM shame shame
  25. Re: Brad Guzan *5 Star Buy* Villa tried to get himin January but it fell through, so he must be a talent for MON to continue to go after him. Villa still have Stuart Taylor who is an 83 so i would also recommend snapping him up because it will between him and Guzan for the number1 jersey. As for a future rating i would say that either keeper could go to 89 as Sorensen and Carson were both that last season in the Villa side.
