  1. Re: Julian Draxler - new Schalke star He's got the potential to be a good player, he's only 17 and played alright last week. He's worth getting, and if that manager has a massive pit of money, £1.6m is nothing for a player who could be worth more than that is less than a year. Lets be honest, if Dortmund are interested in a young player, he must be decent
  2. Re: Stephen Ireland I am a Villa fan so I have seen him play. He is starting to find himself a little bit, but still can't fully force himself into the starting line-up. I am still showing faith in him because I know how good he is, and him on his game is exactly what Villa need. At the moment I can't see him going up, but hopefully he is just bedding in and can recapture his 'superman' form.
  3. Re: SoccerManager.com is brutal at doing the ratings How dare anyone say Bale doesn't deserve higher than 90, he isn't just the best player in the premierleague, but the world. He is like Messi, Ronaldo, Zidane, Ronaldinho, and Maradona all mixed together to make the ultimate player that no one will ever be better than. Or he is a player on a bit of form, that hasn't actually been that great other than in a few matches. I can't decide which of these statements I'd go with. Obviously, the first statement would be more likely... In opposite world. People should calm down about Gareth Bale, and realise that he is just flavour of the month at the moment. Anyone remember that world class player called David Bentley? I think he retired a couple of seasons ago, just does the spurs subs a favour by warming their benches up for them. Get real Bale-anatics and wake up and realise he is a decent player, but 90 is more than fair.
  4. Re: Correia Adriano More likely to stay because of the club, and he does occasionally play
  5. Re: Hummels or Subotic Hummels is the better of the 2, but Subotic is more linked to a big move for some reason. Neither are bad signings though
  6. Re: SM Twitter page (info regarding rating schedules) It is Bundesliga after Ligue 1 because if you go on the player database changes page, it has the tabs at the top ready.
  7. Re: Fabio Coentrao to 90!! Bale should only go to 89 with Coentrao at 90. I'm glad they've given him a +3 because it isn't very often someone jumps from 87 to 90 in one change. Hopefully its a statement that they aren't going to be too conservative in the upcoming changes.
  8. Re: Cavani or Llorente Llorente is 95% certain to go to Real Madrid. Mourinho has said he wants to sign him, and Florentino Perez has said ok. He has a 36 million euros release fee, and Real Madrid are also the most likely to pay that. He is also a better alround player in my opinion, although Cavani is decent as well. Out of the 2 I would pick Llorente everyday.
  9. Re: Marcelo (Real Madrid left back) I wouldn't say Higuain is shocking at finishing at all. He isn't the best, but you can't argue with 10 goals in 17 games this season, and 29 in 39 last season. As for Marcelo, he should already be at least 91, so he will definitely go up. Him, Khedira, and Di Maria are some of the most sure risers for the next round. Adriano hasn't played enough for a rise. He is 3rd choice left back this season. I'm disapointed about him because I bought him for a few of my teams.
  10. Re: rooney to 94? Personally I think there are 91 players better than him. He is massively overrated. He won't go below 95 though because there are too many people in football who seem to think he is much better than he is.
  11. Re: Huntelaar He won't rise, but it means he might have avoided a drop
  12. Re: SM Twitter page (info regarding rating schedules) They have also started posting theit twitter posts on facebook as well lol
  13. Re: Pires to Villa His wages won't be much at all, and I reckon he'll join the coaching team at the end of the season. Pires was one of my favourite players when I was young, so I'm happy about it. I'm not expected much from him on the pitch, but its still a better signing than Hleb
  14. Re: Villa Youngsters Ciaran Clark has pulled out of the Ireland National Squad due to his calf injury. Bannan on the other hand is expexted to start for Scotland in their friendly tonight.
  15. Re: !!!THE MONEYMAKERS THREAD!!!(Rating Predictions) I am a Villa fan, and a Dortmund supporter (There's a difference) Albrighton has been playing better than Gotze, mainly because Gotze has been showing his inexperience a lot more than Albrighton has. In the future though, watching both, I would say Gotze will be the better player. You also have to take into account that Albrighton is 2 1/2 half years older than gotze so he is that bit more mature anyway.
  16. Re: Hulk or Llorente? Llorente for me. Only a matter of team before a big club snaps him up
  17. Re: Toni Kroos Help!! I wouldn't sell him, especially in a GC. He is playing exceptionally this season, and is in for a rise. He is only 20, and is another one of the great German kids. Do Not Sell Him!
  18. Re: Hummels- Rise stay or drop? I think the poll results really do give you the answer
  19. Re: downing for 90!!! I'd say he has a very slim chance of 90. I think Collins should get it first though. Downing really should have been called up to the England squad. 5 goals in 14 games is a good record for a winger, and he is looking so much better this season, and he is confident right now.
  20. Re: Villa Youngsters Post Match Update Aston Villa 2 - 2 Man. United A. Young 72 (P) Albrighton 76 Villa handed a first team debut to Jonathan Hogg, as Ciaran Clark added his name to the injury list with a calf problem. He played ok, parts of the game seemed to bypass him a bit. He was putting in tackles and making interceptions, but was occassionally left chasing, which you would expect against Man U to be fair. He was partnered in the centre by Barry Bannan, who once again stepped up to the occassion and put in a good performance. Bannan was given the matchday sponsors man of the match, and his highlight of the game was a terrific through ball to Downing, whose cross was then importantly blocked by Ferdinand, as it would've presented Agbonlahor with an easy tap in. Albrighton started and scored in a fantastic performance from him. He was tackling players, and cutting out passes, as well as doing his normal terrorising of the left back. The official man of the match, and my choice as well. Albrighton was replaced not long after the Man U equaliser for Eric Lichaj, who played at right mid, and could have made an impact, had fellow substitute Delfouneso not wasted the chance, messing up a simple pass down the line for Lichaj to put a cross in, in the 90th minute. Hogg, who started for his league debut, and was replaced near the end by Chris Herd for his league debut too. Like Lichaj against Blackpool, he didn't have enough time to really impact anything. Delfouneso was the most experienced outfield player on the bench, highlighting Villa's injury problems. Eric Lichaj, Shane Lowry, Chris Herd, Daniel Johnson, Isiah Osbourne, and Nathan Delfouneso were the outfield players alongside Guzan on the bench. My Match Ratings: Albrighton 8.5 Bannan 7 Hogg 6.5 Delfouneso 4.5 Lichaj and Herd - Didn't play long enough to warrant a rating If anyone wants to see the injury lists of Premier league teams - here is a good link http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php
  21. Re: Villa Youngsters Bannan has been called up for the Scotland National team, and Clark has been called up for the Ireland National team. Clark is actually English and captained England at youth level, but has opted to play his senior football for Ireland.
  22. Re: Villa Youngsters Post Match Update Aston Villa 3 - 2 Blackpool Downing 28 Delfouneso 60 Collins 89 Bannan and Clark both started in the centre of the midfield. Blackpool played 3 in the middle, so neither got much time on the ball. Both players though looked reasonably comfortable and played well. Clark was composed on the ball and rarely gave it away, and also got stuck into challenges. Bannan did give the ball away quite a bit, and did keep trying to pull of a difficult ball when there was probably a more simple one available. Albrighton started as normal, and did what he has done all season, got past the full back on most occassions and got the ball in the box. Delfouneso also got another start, and rounded it off with 2 goals. For some strange reason though the ref decided to disallow the first one, apparently for a push Moments later though, Ashley Young picked him out, and the ball was nessling in the corner of the net. His first half performance was a bit drap, a few nice touches but all together didn't look that threatening. Second half was much better though as he chased down the ball and pressurised Blackpool. Got the goal as well before being subbed off for Agbonlahor's return. In the final minutes, Eric Lichaj was subbed on for Bannan for his league debut. He didn't have too much to do, but he did win a header and make one pass, and did also make the clearance that meant Blackpool didn't have time to have another chance. Hogg, Lowry, and Johnson were also on the bench, but didn't play My Ratings : Albrighton 7 Bannan 6 Clark 7 Delfouneso 7 Lichaj - Didn't play long enough, had a 100% heading and passing rate though with 1 of each
