  1. Re: Reality Check 2

Having reportedly activated his £18million release clause, Ajax today announced the capture of Cameroon international, ALEX SONG

The former Arsenal & Barcelona player handed in a transfer request following reported difficulties settling into life in Turkey

Gala are now said to be on the look out for a CB and are prepared to let Englishman Glen Johnson go as part of any deal

  2. Re: Reality Check 2

    Squad cap is 40.

I think the problem lies with Gala signing there own players back but if you sell these on then you will recoup the money that has been lost as technically they shouldnt be there.

    Cool - I'll do that.

Just to clear it up - my opening budget should be 20mil, but it's actually 4.2.

So, I will sell a few players (such as ELMANDER) till my budget is back up to 20 mil. these player sales will not be added on top of my budget, but will be the original 20mil I should have had in the rules.

And of course SONG can go for 18mil!

By the way, my squad is currently at 42! I'll remedy as soon as external bids come in!

  3. Re: Reality Check 2

You get £18m+ for Alex Song so that's where the difference comes into play' date=' the earlier you sell him the earlier you get your cash to spend.[/quote']

Sure - but should I get 20mil start plus the 18 from SONG?

And could you tell me what what my squad cap is?

BTW massively excited about getting into this set up :D

  4. Re: Reality Check 2

This will be down to the clubs when unmanaged buying back there own players.

Aslong as you stay within budget and squad cap you will be fine.

Ok - but as I was meant to start with 20mil budget (assuming I'm accepeted of course :o) I'm gonna be at a bit of a disadvantage as my opening balance will be about 4million quid! Still not moaning before I've even joined, just wondered if there is anyway to remedy this? Obviously I can sell players, but it's meant to be 20mil plus players sales....

By the way - what's my squad cap? Didn't see it mentioned?

    Thanks mate

  5. Re: Reality Check 2

Those rules look awesome! I'm tempted to take either LEVERKUSEN or GALATASARAY... Just a quick question re budget - all of the available teams have budgets of around 4/5mil... but in the rules they are allowed bigger budgets.... ?

EIDT - Someones applied for/taken LEVERKUSEN... So I've applied for GALA

  6. Re: Reality Check 2

Of course we have Leverkusen' date='Milan and Galatasary.

Leverkusen are in the best shape I'd say with new rules out today.

If you apply for them I'll get Alex to accept.[/quote']

Thanks man - can I wait and check out the new rules before deciding on a team?

    RIO FERDINAND, 91, CB, 35. £9MIL

    PHIL JAGIELKA, 90, CB/RB, 31. £8.7MIL

So basically JAGS + £300K for FERDINAND. Happy with that

Full Dutch International and AJAX regular RICARDO VAN RHIJN, 87, CB/RB, 22. £8.2MIL

Spanish under-21 International and hot prospect at Valencia, JUAN BERNAT, 87 LB/LM/LAM, 20. A bargain at £5.4MIL

Also leaving Old Trafford - FABIO & REECE BROWN

  8. Re: European Championship 5000 Discussion Thread

220px-Manchester_United_FC_crest.svg.png After an amazing run of 148 games in charge of FC SCHALKE English manager Dougie House has returned home, taking over the hot seat at Old Trafford.

Despite never achieving promotion, SCHALKE came close - losing twice in the play offs - and House is seen as a long term option, with United having seen too many managers come and go in recent seasons. The squad at United needs a major overhaul, and House is seen as the right man for this job, having transformed the squad at SCHALKE, securing the services of the likes of DE ROSSI, CAVANI, MODRIC, NAVAS and others in his time - all on a very tight budget

The first task at the Red Devils is to overhaul the defence - and a deal has quickly been reached that will see RIO FERDINAND leave Old Trafford and head to BENFICA for £9million. The 91 rated CB leaves a big hole in the United defence and suitable replacements are being sought - with a number of targets being scouted, and offers believed to have been made....

ANDERSON will be joining Ferdinand in Portugal, as House sends him on loan - the young Brazilian is believed to have one more chance to save his United career, and impressing at BENFICA will do him no harm

In addition to FERDINAND, veteran LB PATRICE EVRA will also be allowed to leave for cash. The Frenchman has been unsettled in recent times and it has been agreed that it is time for him to move on

And in a move that has shocked fans House has made star men VAN PERSIE & RIBERY available for part exchange

Make a bid or PM for these players

MARKO MARIN & FABIO are also available for CASH...If anyone's interested....

Club captain and footballing genius, Deco, announced his retirement at the end of last season. Deco was one of the club's best performers - as he inspired the side to a second place finish and promotion, trailing the amazing squad at Derby on goal difference alone

89 rated Spaniard Ruben Castro is on the brink of a 10 million pound move to Sheffield Wednesday. Castro is Oxford's top rated player and has been the mainstay of their attack, but the management have stressed the importance of building for the future, and at 32 there was a general feeling that it was time for him to find pastures new. 10 mil isn't so much in this game world, but to a club of Oxford's size it will help to ensure continued success and stability.

20 year old striker Connor Wickam has put pen to paper on a 4 year deal at the Kassam, following his 5 million pound move from Rochdale.

Wickam was picked for greatness very early in his career but has failed to deliver under the pressure. It is hoped that a drop to division 3 will help him to grow and mature - and the 20 year old English man is definitely the sort of player that Oxford want to build their future around

Oxford were inspired to an opening day victory over Hull City, with 2 goals from Badelj being the pick of a 4-1 thrashing at the Kassam for the toothless tigers....

Thanks to Man U for the loans of ELKESON & LIVERMORE. Still have space for a loan-defender...if anyone's feeling generous ;)

  10. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread

Derby County sealed the Division 4 top spot with a trashing 5-0 victory over Blackpool!! My first silverware in EC106. Took me more than 4 years to achieve that! LOL

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored a double. Holtby' date=' El Arabi and Wakaso got into the scoresheet as well. It was a nerve-wracking last week as we didn't earn any point in the previous 2 games. B)[/quote']

Congrats - I was disapointed to miss out on the title on goal difference but well done anyway mate

  12. Re: Gold Championship 100 Match Reports | Transfers

Sorry boys but this is the end of the road for me.

Thanks to all the 'long termers' for a great run.

Your posts were pretty much the reason I was desperate to join Germany 100.

Under a previous guise I managed Wolfsburg and your posts and league updates were always amazing. Recently rejoined as Leverkusen, but unfortunately this may now just become yet another dead Gold championship

  13. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread

Closing the gap with Division 4 current leaders Oxford United after beating them 5-1. El Arabi gabbed a brace with Keisuke Honda' date=' Miguel Torres and Diego Capel got themselves in the scoresheet. Ruben Castro got the consolation goal for the host.[/quote']

Well done mate - though looking at your squad I'm not surprised you hammered me! Still hope to push you close till the end of the season though
