  1. Hi, quick question. If a player has the position of CM/AM, will he play in the AM role with the same amount of skill as the CM role? I think that the AM used to count as a second position and was as such weaker, but now I'm not too sure. Thanks for any help
  2. Re: Rate My Team Thread Very good team, good and youthful. I think you'll need another LB though, for cover, or if you have spare cash then maybe get a 91 or 92 one, whatevers available. But you have cover everywhere else, so good team

  4. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... The last few posts by both of you have done nothing except create a needless argument. So you've both been spamming by arguing with each other. So stop, now.
  5. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I think Rakitic will increase to 90 in the next change. He will probably continue rising as many (including myself), rate him highly. There is always a strong chance that he moves to a bigger club next season, and if he plays well there (not saying he will move, he just might), his rating will increase rapidly. Even if he doesn't move, I think he will continue rising. A LM is harder to come by, but 12 mil is quite a lot and Rakitic is a great player. It depends on how much you need a backup.
  6. Re: "Simple"... Pato or Bojan? I'd probably say Bojan. I feel he was more deserving of a 90 rating in the last changes. Pato is obviously great, but he faces stiffer competition from Ronaldinho, Shevchenko, Ingazghi (spelling?) and Kaka for places up front. Bojan only has to worry about Henry and Eto'o, especially with Messi often playing on the wing. The Milan attack is stronger this season and Pato might get less games, so I'd go for Bojan.
  7. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... I'd say no. Alonso will probably play quite a lot in the Liverpool side and could rise to 94 in the next changes. 95 is far too much right now though (maybe if he has a great season). Henry will probably drop to 94 soon, and maybe 93 after that. He has a lot of competition at Barcelona and isn't really performing that well. And a midfielder is harder to find than a striker anyway, so I'd keep Alonso.
  8. Re: What's your worst Trait ? Shaking an insane amount whenever I have to give a speech. It's embarassing and irritating.
  9. Re: What's your worst Trait ? A trait is a distinguishing feature about themselves, like they can jump 10m high or are fluent in every language. Or have two heads. I feel useless in this thread just like the best trait thread, as I have nothing that makes me different. I feel left out

Re: Oasis I've never seen a band live, but would love to see Oasis live. Shame they can't be bothered to do one in Manchester.
  11. Re: What One Should I Accept?? I'd accept either, but neither of them will go through.

    Oasis

Just wondering whether anyone apart from me still listens to them anymore. I've been listening to them for something like 10 years and I probably enjoy listening to their songs now more than I used to. Does anyone else like them, or is it just me?
  13. Re: Top 10 Players - List yours! 1. Kaka 2. Cristiano Ronaldo 3. Messi 4. Gerrard 5. Van Nistelrooy 6. Xavi 7. Sergio Ramos 8. Terry 9. Totti 10. Casillas Other contenders: Buffon, Nesta, Iniesta, Ibrahimovic, Villa, Torres, Sneijder and Cech. Opinions of the top 10 change so rapidly though, this is just right now without much thinking about it
  14. Re: Rate My Team Thread Which team is it? Inter Milan? You have some good strong players and quite a bit of depth, but you could probably do with another RB in case of a Cordoba injury and 1 or 2 more wingers. But overall you seem to have most positions covered
  15. Re: Making it harder for managers If that was my fault, then ignore my post. I was just suggesting random things that I was thinking of
  16. Re: what are these players ratings likely to do Give people more time to reply, it's been less than 2 hours These aren't certain, just thoughts that might be wrong. Pepe - Probably stay at 92. Benzema - Might rise to 94. Mascherano - People say he might rise to 95. I don't think he will, and he should stay at 94. Torres - Might well rise to 96. Babel - Will hopefully rise to 90, maybe 91 if he starts a bit more. Adebayor - May well rise to 93, although I don't think he should.
  17. Re: Making it harder for managers I like this idea, and it has some good examples used in it. I haven't read the last few posts so I apologise if this one has been mentioned earlier, but something simple like: "Your new player, Paul Scholes, has not adapted well to his recent tranfer from Manchester United to Manchester City. His morale has dropped and you could expect a weakened performance in matches from him." One thing that has to be done if these sorts of things are brought in is that SM balance it perfectly. I can't think of any examples right now, but in the past when a new idea has been brought in there has been the tendency for too much/too little of something (eg. we don't want a jailed player every match or a fight between two players everytime someone has been brought in. A few more ideas: "Lionel Messi wishes to be the new penalty taker at the club, instead of the current Kaka. Do you accept his wishes?" If you accept, Messi will have a morale increase, Kaka will have a morale decrease (and possibly Kaka may hate Messi). If you decline, the opposite will happen. "The SM Newspaper leads the days sports news with a rumour that your player, Deco, has secretly admitted that he hates you as manager. When you query the player about this, he is forced to admit he made these remarks. What do you wish to do?" a) Nothing (Deco morale increase but one or two players slight decrease, maybe the captain is most affected). Fine Deco 1 turns worth of wages (Deco morale decrease but a bit of money is saved.) c) Suspension (Deco can't play for 3 matches voluntarily. His morale drops lots but others may gain a bit). "Cristiano Ronaldo is requesting a short, 2 match holiday with his new wife. He will not be paid whilst on holiday. Do you accept?" Yes means his morale improves, he gains most of his condition back and you save some money. No means his morale drops. "Nike is offering you £1,000,000 for your team to appear in its latest advert. Do you accept?" Yes and you get £1m but their condition drops. "After hearing of your interest in him, Iker Casillas has announced that he is looking to join your team, and will even accept a pay cut to join you." Occasionally, a message like that means that if you sign the player you only have to offer him say 60% of his normal wages in his first contract. Some controversial ideas, some rubbish ideas. But I think these kind of things could add a lot to the game.
  18. Re: Rate My Team Thread Looks like a good team with pretty good depth. I reckon you should get a cover LM and a strong CM. And maybe a DM for when the loan ends, if you need that position. But good overall
  19. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Unless you're planning for the very-long term, I'd say go for Deco. He may well reach 94, Kalou will probably be 91 or 92. Although of course, after a year or two, Kalou might be slightly better, but I'd go for Deco right now.
