  2. Re: English Championship 29528 Lost 2-0 to Swansea opening day. Looking at the stats and commentary, good old SM:rolleyes: However, my team is now almost complete. Just need 1 centre back instead of Hangeland. Alves Bender Sokratis Hangeland Lulic Strootman Matic Menez Pastore Guardado Llorente
  3. Re: English Championship 29528 Diego Alves, Papastathopoulos Sokratis, Lars Bender, Kevin Strootman, Javier Pastore and Fernando Llorente join Fulham. Few more bids are in right now waiting to be accepted.
  4. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread First game in charge and we beat Southend 2-1, Cesar and Fernandes with the goals. Brings us up to 9th and 4 points off the playoffs.
  5. Re: English Championship 29528 Taken Fulham, wholesale changes going on.
  6. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Took over Wigan last night, good to be here . Going to assess the team then probably put some people up for sale.
  7. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! Drew with Leeds 1-1 which I don't think is a bad result considering the team I had to put out. I signed Montolivo, Gomis, Lovren, Sokratis and Nainggolan to go into my team and I'll have a RB joining tomorrow. If anyone could loan me a couple of wingers and a defensive midfielder I would be very grateful .
  8. Re: Ec 30,000! Yup I'd be interested.
  9. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread NEW MAN AT THE CITY GROUND A new reign has begun at Nottingham Forest as ex-Hereford and Yeovil manager Sam Lakinski takes over. The club are currently languishing second bottom of Division 2 and the immediate aim is for the manager to take them out of the relegation zone and into mid-table. The manager has inherited a fairly strong team, though with some gaps, and he's said to be looking forward to managing such an illustrious side. First up for Forest under the new manager is a feisty local debry against local rivals Notts County and it's expected that a new and distinctive style of play will immediately be on show at the City Ground. A match report will follow this evening.
  10. Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available! New Reign At Barnsley Manager Sam Lakinski has been retired for the last year but decided to come out of retirement to reignite his managerial career - he believes Barnsley are the right team to do just that. Though the Tykes are currently languishing second bottom of Division 2 after 11 games, there is still plenty of the season left to play and, for the manager, the play-offs are still within reach. Financially the club is well off and as such it seems as though a complete overhaul of the team is already under way to stave off the threat of relegation. First to face the new manager at the Oakwell are big boys Leeds and it'll be interesting to see the impact the new man has on the team. A match report will follow later.
  11. Re: The Random Thread HI RYAN. How're things these days?
  12. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Not sure if anyone remembers me, been a while since I was around. Looking to get back into SM, any teams currently inactive?
  13. Re: The Random Thread Been a while since I've been here, might rejoin. What're the good setups these days?
  14. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Not been successful with any of my loans, can anyone loan me an 88+ CM or Forward? Would be very grateful. Also looking to sign a new forward and winger 89+. Gyan and Pienaar can both leave towards a deal, as can Hegeler, Gokhan Tore, Falque Iago and De Federico.
  15. Re: English Championship 7345 Discussion Thread I'm here as well.
  16. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Trasch is coming to Barnsley . Joining for £3m, Cahill + Grenier. Probably paid a bit over the odds for him but I'm absolutely desperate for midfielders.
  17. Re: English Championship 7046: Four Regions Tournament I was thinking that but Stuart's arguments before are true, you can set your team to have more of one or the other and when it's a big team versus a small team, the big team will more than likely have more than both.
  18. Re: English Championship 7046: Four Regions Tournament Aye I remember that, would depend on the numbers. Though I'm not as lazy If it was a draw the result was decided on corners before, though this time I'm thinking the team with the highest average rating should go through (Bit complicated I guess but seems fairer).
  19. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Cheers for response guys. Made a thread for it. http://forum.soccermanager.com/showthread.php?t=112494
  20. THE EC 7046 FOUR REGIONS CUP A while back in EC 7345 Stuart made this tournament and with this setup being one of the more active ones on SM, I thought this might be successful here as well. Basically, I'm pretty much going to steal the same format (Sorry for that) and hope it works here. We split the 80 clubs into the four different regions; North, East, South and West and then I'll draw randomly the ties that go on. There'll be no distinction between divisions. Two teams will go through from each region into a semi-final, and then the winners will play out the final. I'm not sure how many managers are non-forumers so I've added a poll. If I get enough people being positive then I'll start it. Thoughts?
  21. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Just wondering how many people would be interested in a friendly tournament if I set one up next season? Something like the Four regions in 7345 a while back. Think there's only like 8 out of the 80 clubs that haven't been active in the last couple days, so the setup is fairly active.
  22. Re: English Championship 7345 Discussion Thread Pompey draw 3-3 with Middlesbrough, seemed like a bloody good game. Ayew, Milner and Suarez with my goals, 2 points from safety.
  23. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Drew with Brighton 2-2, pretty good result considering their team. Marvin Martin got both our goals and MoM, unbeaten in four now.
