Zenit hanging in there despite tough times..

Zenit were able to put off-field problems to waste overnight as they were able to pick up a thrilling 3-3 draw with AS Roma in front of almost 83,000 people at the Stadio Olimpico in Italy overnight. The russian side have been ravaged by injuries and overnight they picked up a further 2 injuries, the worst of all, influential captain, Anatoliy Tymoschuk, injured for 8 weeks, yes, thats right.. 8 weeks, with a broken hand. Javier Saviola was also a big name casualty after he suffered a head injury early on after a horrifyingly high tackle from diego godin. Elano was the matchsaver in the end for Roma after the Brazilian scored all 3 goals for the italian giants, subsequently being given the match ball. Zenit will be feeling very hard done by, because they had snatched the lead thanks to a Radamel Falcao strike just 8 minutes from time. They were left heartbroken, battered and bruised just 4 minutes later though, when Elano struck to complete his hattrick.

    AS Roma 3 Zenit 3

I feel very hard done by, We played our hearts out today and it still wasnt enough. I came face to face today with one of the most respected managers in the game, and We really should have taken all three points. Im disappointed because we are going to have to sell Pogrebnyak, which im not pleased with. We are averaging a 700k loss each game including the games at home. we lost about 800k in the match with Roma, and with the injuries piling up aswell, i really dont know what is happening. Were in a rott at the moment, however having not lost in 4 matches is just about the only positive thing for us at the moment.

Next up for Zenit is the tricky home tie with league leader and league owner Naths Chelsea, looking to put in a more respectable showing than the one that they displayed in the first game of the season, a shocking 6-1 thumping at the bridge.

United manager Razz in quit threat?!

Manchester United manager Razz has confronted United chairman Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon, with the likelihood that the English turned aussie managers time at Old Trafford could well be up. Razz has been able to do some really good things during his time, but it is said to be for personal reasons that he may be forced to quit the club and league. Razz, at the start of last season, also threatened to quit, but stayed on for the season and guided his English side to top spot of division 2 and therefore promotion. He has guided his side to second place so far this term amassing 14 points from the opening 7 matches. But it is an unfortunate time for the manager, with real life problems at the moment, finding it hard to get on and do tactics and that lot.. Hes struggled to find time to do what he has been doing and this is one of the reasons hes barely been in the chatroom of recent. " I have not even logged into my LR team in 7 days, coming in to find that the team has been doing well without me has been a good plus, remembering I dont want to ruin this club by it not really having a manager, so that has been playing on my mind. Im sure there would be a lot of managers who would love this job and would be able to do some extra things with it, and as always, the club comes before any one person, so its really weighting on my mind at the moment."

Tomorrow night would be a fitting final game for the kent-born manager, who hosts his P.A.R.K Ji bang! teammate Ken in what could be a vital clash. It is not confirmed whetehr Razz will pass on his duties to another manager just yet, but theres certainly cause for concern and the United faithful are at a loss to explain what the future holds.

    :o:rolleyes:

Zenit Manager on the brink of sacking??

Zenit st petersburg manager Razz has been all over the newspaper recently.. His side with just one point to show from the opening 5 games of the season.

Zenit have been thumped in 3 of the 5 matches, conceding a whopping 22 goals and scoring only 5. manager Razz has been baffled at how badly his side has been playing and has also been very frustrated as 3 of his top players are injured or suspended which isnt helping his cause at all.

He said: what do u expect me to do? with a side like this.. the side is never gaining a profit and in 3 matches we've dropped 2.4 million because of revenue ... were even dropping money in home games for goodness sake.. Injuries to 2 of our top and most important players.. tymoschuk the captain suspended.. I cant work like this.!

These latest remarks from the russian outfits coach are sure to cause a stirr.. but what sort of stirr? a battle to keep the young up and coming tactician.. or a wave of goodbye letters?

    Manchester United Held in Spain

Villarreal hosted Manchester United in front of a packed 25,000 seated El Madrigal overnight. The team news was in and both sides had important players out. United had there problems with no Vidic or Gomez, whereas the spanish side had to do without Rossi and Angel Lopez.

Both sides started the game at a frantic pace and both teams having early shots on goal. It was Manchester United, however, who managed to take the lead in the 22nd minute, as defender Per Mertesacker marked his 1st goal for the club with a simply outstanding first time hit from the edge of the area. United had a determined and mean appearance about them tonight and they were clearly dominating the 1st half with Alberto Gilardino going close twice before the break. The second half started and United came out very shaky, with Gamberini looking very untidy at the back and he was at fault for the equaliser, as he allowed Dani Guiza to stroll past him and header unmarked past a furious and exposed Edwin Van Der Sar. Both teams pushed for a winner but ultimately, neither side were able to get the goal.

I was pleased with the way we played, I think our first half was outstanding but we were abit unlucky with alberto hitting the bar and having a shot cleared off the line, but I think we controlled the game, but were unable to get that decisive 2nd goal. Better luck next time eh?

    In Other News:

Manchester United have wrapped up the signings of two more players, further strengthening the side. 89 rated 25 year old PSG striker Guillaume Hoarau has signed for the club on a deal which is believed to be around 10.85 million pounds, and talented Werder Bremen Midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has signed for the club on a two year deal for about 13 million pounds.

I am delighted to have signed these two players. They will add some real competition for places and Mesut will be a regular for us, I am very surprised both of these players havent been snapped up by anyone else and im just pleased that I was able to see these fellas on the List because they will definately add us some sensational quality. Im really happy.

United come out trumps in Team Tussle.

Manchester United kept there very impressive start to the season in tact overnight as they defeated P.A.R.K Ji Bang! teammate Hugo's Tottenham Hotspur 2-0. United held onto 2nd spot and on level terms with Sevilla with a scintillating display that tore through Spurs, and it was the former Fiorentina duo of Adrian Mutu, 16', and Alberto Gilardino, 65', that did the damage. Manchester United dominated from the start and unsurprisingly took a well deserved 1-0 lead thanks to a stunning leap and header from Mutu, firing in off the far post and leaving Shay Given stranded. Spurs were able to create some decent chances and almost drew level on the stroke of halftime when Adriano inexplicably missed an open goal tap in from inside the 6 yard area. Tottenham were made to pay for that shocking miss when Gilardino struck midway through the 2nd half, with the italian striker blasting an unstoppable long range drive into the top right hand corner of the net.

We played really well tonight. I appreciate the job done by the boys. A few of our players had difficult nights but it was very good to see the rest of the side make up for that. I thought VDS, Rooney, Per and Ribas all did very well tonight. Our attacking potency was very good. We are creating alot of chances, I believe we had about 25 shots on goal, so im disappointed in the boys for only winning 2-0! haha, I think we will start scoring more goals soon if we keep this up. Sevilla are scoring for fun at the moment so we had better keep up with them. I feel upset that we are the only team that is getting points in our group. Bayern are bottom in division 2, Spurs are bottom in Div1 and valencia are 4th bottom in Div1. I think the rest of the group has to get going because there really letting us down at the moment.

Real Madrid travel to Manchetser for the second time in three matches as Manchester United host them in what should be a thrilling first round of the La Resistance Cup. Both sides have started the league in fine fashion, with manchester United undefeated so far, with Madrids only loss so far this season, a 3-1 loss to there opposition tomorrow night, Manchester United.

Both sides are expected to ring the changes and rest some of there key personnel for this affair, with one eye on the Premier League just 2 days later. Real Madrid will have pride on the line in this match, and a vengeful eye simply because they wouldnt want to lose twice in 3 matches, let alone to the same team. They will be looking for revenge and a better outing than the last time they arrived on Old Trafford.

Real Madrid simply have not had a good record at Old Trafford. The only other time these two met in Manchester before this season was in season 1. When United came up trumps again - 2-1. Many will say though that this will be there best chance to pick up a win as United will no doubt be playing there second string outfit.

Manchester United Continue Solid Start in Thrilling Win

Manchester United have battled back in a see-sawing affair at Old Trafford overnight. The hosts were given a stern testing by Arsenal, but the Red devils were good enough to take the three points and be on equal first place on goal difference behind Sevilla.

Arsenal got off to a good start and it was no surprise when Alou Diarras strike manage to squeeze underneath Van Der Sar in the 9th minute. This was the spark the hosts needed as only 2 minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo seized on an error in the makeshift Arsenal backline, to slot home the equaliser. In the 14th minute United had a stunning lead when Star Man Wayne Rooney got in on the act by thunderbolting a low hard drive past stekelenburg. 2 goals in 3 minutes had United on the prowl. Paul scholes doubled Uniteds lead with an inspirational passing move, the veteran englishman took the ball from the halfway line and dribbled past a number of Arsenal players before dispatching beautifully passed the exposed Arsenal 'Keeper. Arsenal were not about to let United roll over them and after a sustained period of pressure, Emmanuel Adebayor struck to halve the deficit on 39 minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo extended the gap between the two teams by scoring a fine strike in the 63rd minute and although Roque Santa Cruz was able to snatch a late goal, Arsenal could not find an equaliser.

Im ecstatic at the final scoreline. We were very good tonight and i praise all the players. They did magnificently well. They all deserve the rest there about to get as we have cup duty next game so we will continue our policy of resting some of our key players. I think we need to sharpen up at the back, we've conceded 8 goals inthe first 3 matches, and thats not good enough. We only conceded 20 goals in the whole of last season so im unimpressed that weve already conceded almost half that amount in only the first 3 matches. With a defender coming in, however, we should be okay. I was disappointed with Mario's sending off. He didnt need to lay that foul. We will miss him now and it may cost us in the next couple of games but overall, it was a solid outing. Congrats to the arsenal guys, they never seemed to give up. They have good spirit and I thnik they can bounce back from this.

Manchester United host bitter rivals Real Madrid in the La Resistance cup tomorrow night for only the 2nd time in 3 matches. Real Madrid will be looking for revenge no doubt, to the side in which they were defeated 3-1 only last thursday. Both teams are expected to rest there key players and therefore there is an element of surprise in the starting X1's and its difficult to make a prediction on the result because of that.

    Manchester United Vs Arsenal

Yes, thats right, Arsenal make the relatively short trip to Manchester tonight, to face the team directly below them in the table. This top of the table clash is sure to be an absolute gem of a match, and both managers, Manchester Uniteds Razz and Arsenals llewellyn jones have differing views of the outcome.

Razz said: I think we can seriously go in and win this tonight, Arsenal have shown good early season form, but they have yet to reaslly come up against a good top 4 side. Were coming off the back of a marvellous 3-1 win at the Champions of last season, so they better be prepared. We will be no pushovers and I fully expect my players to come out and win this game. It wont be easy, but the fans will be behind us which is good.
llewellyn stated: That man utd boss is a fool. He thinks he can come in here and say what he wants. We all know whose gonna end up winning that game, and it will be us. Razz needs to F*** off and learn some respect otherwise my players will beat it into him!
Razz hit back by saying: what the heck, is this guy a maniac or something? does this llewellyn noob think hes gonna beat some respect into me? He forgot Manchester United is owned by the WWE so.. Kane.. Umaga.. GET HIM! * Kane runs out of nowhere and Chokeslams Llewellyn through the Conference table and Umaga comes in and jumps ontop of Jones*. Learn a lesson not to start something you cant finish next time! :D

One things for dam sure.. its that there will be only one outcome tonight, and one of the managers, maybe even both, will be elft to ponder what could of been.

  9. Re: Formula 1

    I would agree

Kovalainen had a great race last weekend. His qualifyings havent been at all good this season.. i dont think hes reach Q3 at all yet this season (correct me if im wrong) :o.

McClarewn have no hopoe of the constructors this season. Teams like Toyota, and especially red Bull and Brawn are looking very very good.

    Predictions for Bahrain:

    1st: Vettel

    2nd: Glock

    3rd: Hamilton

  10. Re: Formula 1

The only thing with kovalainen about last season was the fact that he barely helped hamilton at all. McClaren needed him to be up in the top 3/4 but he constantly qualified in 5tth or 6th with both ferraris near hamilton and hamilton didnt have any support.

Its the same this year - with the introduction of brawn hamilton needs the support but kovalainen is yet again off the pace with the rest - admittedly so is hamilton but hamilton has been there or there abouts in the points most races but kovalainen took 2 races to even get past lap one. shows it right there

  11. Re: Formula 1

hamiltons 5th place start i think is really good. I still keep wondering why Kovalainen still seems to be struggling cuz obviously theyve strengthened that McClaren. Disappointing to see massa and raikkonen in the top 10. would of loved to see them ferrarris not make Q3 again :D

United Launch Scathing Attacks on Duo.

Manchester United manager Razz has launched a scathing attack on both Fiorentina manager Kylan Hood and Milans Stefan hague. Razz belives that the duo are trying to undermine Razz by trying to distract his club. Stefan has stated that He is the new Chairman of the Manchester United Football Club, yet it has already been lodged to the Market Exchange List. The Ministry of La Resistance aswell as the LRFA have handed documents to Man Utd Manager razz stating that, indeed, Vincent kennedy McMahon has in fact taken over and that Stefan is making up jibberish.

"Well what can I say, Stefans a fool. Simple as that. He cant take the fact that I was promoted last season and he wasnt, and therefore is trying to distract my side from playing football. Its not my fault he didnt win in the last 4 games of the season, If I were him, I'd be concentrating on getting promoted this season rather than trying to make up BS about other teams. And as for that Fiore twitt Kylan, He cant stop starting with us can he? here I was thinking the kanga fiasco was over and everything was fine, and he goes and does this, That scum needs to take a College course for respect, and ill get some of my new WWE colleagues to beat it out of him.. Umaga, Kane and The Undertaker.. Watch out Fiorentina! Its quite absurd because we have guards here and the only two people we would allow into Old Trafford from a different team is Atletico Madrid duo Marcus Stewart and manager George let alone have any other git in the league come in in for chairman talks.

    Its a load of garbage."

United seem to have made it VERY clear that Stefan is NOT the chairman and he should F off. :D

    United Confirm Mcmahon Takeover Completion!

In front of a packed Press Conference Outside Old Trafford today, Manchester United manager Razz finally unveiled the new Chairman of the club, and no surprises, it was WWE Chairman, Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Recent speculation had seen Stefan Hague, manager of Milan, state he had full control of the club, but Razz went on to quell that rumour, saying that Stefan barely has 10p let alone money to buy a whole football club.

The WWE chairman promises to be an interactive and purposeful chairman at United and has pledged to put millions into the club financially. " Ive always had a good relationship with the Manager of United, as he has frequently been at WWE events and we have shared lunch together on many occasions. He was also one of the people that won my Million Dollar award lat last year during my Mcmahons Million Dollar Mania series.

    United Soar against Bitter Rivals

Manchester United entertained rivals Real Madrid at Old Trafford overnight, drawing a massive 72,212 fans for this massive affair. And, the fans were not disappointed as they were treated to a fascinating and thrilling encounter between the 2 champions of last season.

The First half was action packed, but, somehow, either team couldnt break the stubborn resistance of both defences and there goalkeepers. The best opportunity of the first half saw Adrian Mutu's effort cleared off the line by a lunging Real defender.

We did not have to wait long into the Second Period for the opening goal of the match, as after 56 minutes, Cristiano Ronaldo seized on a defensive error to round Iker Casillas and slot home with ease. 10 minutes later, Manchester United doubled there lead after yet again, poor Real defending after Iker Casillas inexplicably fumbled an easy Ryan Giggs effort straight into the path of Paul Scholes to tap in. However, just 4 minutes later and Real madrid were back in the hunt when Raul Bundled the ball home from close range. The win was then sealed when Cristiano Ronaldo skilled his way past 2 players to score his second goal of the night and United's third.

    Match Statistics:

Total Shots: United 32 Madrid 25

Shots On Target: United 12 Madrid 15

    Possession: United 49% Madrid 51%

    Corners: United 3 Madrid 8

Yellow cards: United 3 Madrid 1

    No Red Cards.

Manager razz had this to say on the emphatic win:

I am so pleased with the way we played tonight, it was a big match and we played very well. Real Madrid pushed us really hard but I do believe our fans got us through tonight. It was a packed house tonight and we cant thank you fans enough for the way you cheered for us when we were getting tired. Ronaldo deserved that Man of the Match and it will be disappointing to see him go but no player is bigger than a team and therefore sometimes these things happen. Our first win of the season and im ecstatic. The only negative we had out of this match is that Nemanja's barren injury spell continues after he picked up a shin injury during the game, he;ll be out for about 3 weeks. Vidic was injured for most of last season and I knew we would struggle if he got injured again and thats why i bought in players like amorebieta, diakhite and mertesacker. I feel were better equipped this season to deal with injuries.

Next up for Manchester United - is the relatively short trip to league leaders Arsenal in what will already be a Top of the Table Clash as Arsenal are first, having won both of there games and conceded no goals, against United who are 2nd, having conceded 5 goals. You can already see a big difference there.:o

News of Potential Chairmans at United.

Manchester United manager Razz has finally indicated as to a few of the people who are trying to buy the club. This is fascinating news on the part of United fans alike as there will now be alot more money at Razz' disposal during the Transfer Windows. Apparently, there has been a major bust-up between Manager Razz and Chairman, Glazier.. and this has promptly seen the Chairman leave his post at United. We have now been given offical confirmation that Robert Glazier has infact quit the club to a foreign based businessman, yet to be identified.

    Possible Suitors:

250px-Vincemcmahon.jpg Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon: - The WWE Chairman and self proclaimed Millionaire - is apparently the favourite to secure the position after he offered manager Razz a stunning opportunity to be allowed full pronged access to any WWE Diva that he wants at any time during the next 3 years. :D:rolleyes:

ecclestone.jpg Bernie Ecclestone - The F1 supremo - Is also up near Mr Mcmahon in the pecking order as he too, has offered some of the pit lane chicks of Formula One - to manager Razz for whenever he wants some time for pleasure. :)

These 2 arent the only ones showing an interest, but, for now, seem the frontrunners in the race for Manchester United Ownership!

Both Bernie Ecclestone and Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon are expected to be in Manchester tonight as United host bitter rivals Real Madrid in what should be an exceptional match.

Recent Backroom Staff Turmoil Continues at Sorry United..

Manchester United seem to be in a lot more trouble than what has been allegadly provided to the media. It now seems as if the Chairman of the club, the glaziers, are looking to sell the club to a foreign investor. This news comes after various changes to Razz's staff over the past week or so, and it has been stated that the Glaziers where not happy with manager Razz's continuation of signing people onto his staff.

Its important that I have the right amount of Staff members. If we had no staff, there would be noone behind the scenes and noone to train the players. I thought we were abit thin in that department last season because Carlos Queiroz of course left us, and a few of his mates followed him to Portugal so I didnt want the same thing to happen this season.

Manchester United seem to be in an outrageous area in terms of debt owing to financial suitors, aswell as the impending Wage Bills for the senior, youth team players and staff members. It seems there edging closer and closer to ADMINISTRATION! , However, with the glaziers willing to sell the club, there will surely be many suitors to a club with such a rich and vastly experienced past. It remains to be seen as to who the potential front-runners are to take-over at United, but one things for sure, the changes at United are far from finished.

    United seal 2 Divas.

Manchester United have signed a further 2 females to there backroom staff. The news comes off of the back of the recent acquisitions of Tottis Wife and Cashleys Wife. Manager razz announced the two signings at a press conference only 20 minutes ago.

"We have signed 2 very beautiful, but professional young ladies that are willing to help muscle up our players. These 2 woman have experience with fighting and are very strong and we hope to gain some strength from using them in our training setups and drills."

Shocking Image of Real Madrid manager Mark Wallis!

Real Madrid manager Mark Wallis has been scrutinised heavily overnight as reports suggest that the Madrid boss is an active participant in Vincent Kennedy McMahon Kiss My bottom Club!.

It is not known who sent this image to the Saint Louis, Missouri police station, but whoever it was, may have gotten Mark Wallis into a tad bit of trouble here. After the recent Kangaroo Fiasco, this is something that the LRFA and The Ministry of La Resistance could do without. They both, have launched a thorough investigation into the matter and are expected to notify the public of there findings within the course of a few days.

This is also something Real Madrid manager Mark Wallis could do without, haven got his troops together for the trip to Old Trafford to meet good old rivals manchester United tonight, this is certainly not the sort of preparation he needed going into such a key game.

Zenit Aiming To avoid one thing: Relegation

Zenit St Petersburg are no doubt the favourites for the wooden spoon (bottom spot) come seasons end, and the fact that the only real signings theyve made have been wilshere, falcao and gignac, support this. All of the teams around them have been given more funds to be able to sign more players, and although Zenit have made up for thast with some astute loans, they still are very much underdogs.

However, Manager Razz has indicated that he will be very pleased at the end of the season, if his side can finish outside the relegation zone. "I think that if we work our socks off and get down and dirty, we can play some very good attacking football. Its the consistency and the results that will get us somewhere. I had to strengthen the side and I have done so, not remarkably, but the area i needed strengthening in i strengthened so im pleased with that aspect. If we can finish outisde the relegation zone, which to many seems impossible, It will have been a sensation year. But, lets not get boiled over with what may happen at the end of the season, now, we look forward to the opening game of the season, a tricky trip to Stamford Bridge to meet Naths Chelsea outfit."

It remains to be seen whether Zenit have the capacity to be able to bring any new fresh faces into the side, but one thing is for sure, manager Razz has his work cut out for him. He seems to have a good amount of confidence however, so there could be a glimmer of hope in Russia-Land.
