  1. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread I cant wait for my Blackburn side to go up against man city tonight I think it will be a very interesting game. We are currently in the best form we've been in- setting a new record for unbeaten games and winning 4 of our last 5. I rested my key players on Sunday, sacrificing what would've almost certainly been 3 points but I had to settle for a draw so I hope it was worth it!
  2. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread 3 wins in a row in the league for my Blackburn side and only 1 defeat in our last 6, we are finally starting to show what we can do- it looks like I was right not to worry because we are now fast approaching mid-table with just under half the season gone As long as we can retain our division 2 status I will see that as a success and hopefully our incredibly young squad will have matured more by then so we will be able to challenge for promotion in the seasons to come however I won't rule out a late push for the play offs this season!
  3. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Another narrow (and very frustrating!) defeat, this time at the hands of derby. 5 of the 6 times we have lost this season we have been on the wrong end of games that have been decided by just one goal between the toe sides, including 4 3-2's- three of which I have come out of on the wrong side  it is very frustrating and possibly slightly worrying as we find ourselves drop back into the relegation zone but strangely enough I still find myself complete calm even though after another 2 games we will be 1\4 of the way through the season  I genuinely don't know where I'm getting this confidence from but I hope we can turn it around soon, I remember in the pre season preview I was predicted to finish 6th!!
  4. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Yet another loss for Blackburn, its still not looking too good however, in reality, I would've won 1-0 instead of a 2-1 loss because goodwillie ( the player to put two past us) is loaned out to Blackpool by us so he shouldnt have been playing really I'm surprising myself because I still don't find myself overly worried about the possible threat of relegation despite us sitting second bottom. I still believe the results will come soon enough and hopefully we can properly kick off our season with a result against promotion chasing Middlesbrough

  6. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread I'll take that result, well done to Forest Green rovers for putting 3 goals past me, they certainley put up a fight, and after they took the lead in the 3rd minute I knew it wouldn't be that easy! Our defensive line seems to be a bit of an issue for the future though, in our last 3 games we have conceded 9 goals, 3 per game! That is certainly something that needs sorting, but in the meantime, we host Doncaster in the next round, hopefully we can pull off a win and get a place in the last 32.
  7. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread I really don't get that, how some team seemingly randomly get drawn bye's. Funny how Arsenal and Co. have to play in round 1 whereas yourself and probably a few other small clubs don't!
  8. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Blackburn rovers travel to little old forest green rovers tonight in the first round of the FA cup. The division 5 club will not be taken lightly as Blackburn desperately need a convincing win to turn their so far disappointing season around. Several changes are expected to be made and it is rumoured sergi Samper and benzia are the only two players to be left in the starting line up from the narrow 3-2 defeat to Bolton.
  9. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Blackburn drop into the relegation zone now  after another loss, this time at the hands of Bolton wanderers, a team we beat in pre season  5 points from 7 games really isn't good enough for us, although to be fair both of are last two games were against two of the stronger teams in the division. At this moment in time I'm not particularly worried about the threat of relegation to the third tier just yet, as I have confidence we can start picking up the points as the season progresses. Cup game tonight is against forest green rovers, and nothing short of a win is expected. A very winnable game against a vulnerable Blackpool side next in the league, as two of their best players are out with injuries ranging from 3-5 weeks
  10. Re: -:GC419 - This Is ENGLAND:- Swansea a to bide their time in the transfer market, as it will only be a matter of time before managers begin to quit their clubs. hopefully by then will have off loaded the players I don't require and will have the cash to bring in the players I desperately need :-)
  11. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Blackburn rovers have officialy finished their transfer business, involving any major siginings. I'm very pleased with my squad, managed to off load every player within the few weeks the game world has been open which is already more than I hoped for, and as well as that I find my self with a very young squad (not one player over 21!) which will only improve. my wage bill is also pretty low, at only £329,000 which seems ok for a championship club, which wont harm the money I get in from gate receipts The only thing I would like to improve on is my squad depth in the striking department, with only one out-and-out striker rated above 80, Benzia is having to fill in, and if one of them gets injured then that could cost me... but depth will come with time, if needs be I can use some of my 3.4 million I have left and invest that in a forward
  12. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Blackburn rovers kick off their season against a currently unmanaged Sheffield Wednesday side. Team news Mat Ryan is expected to start in goal for Blackburn, however 20 year old CB, Denswil may not be starting today as he is still recovering from a minor sickness bug. Moving into the midfield, 16 year old Tielemans will be starting in CDM, and will be playing along sode former Barcelona prospect, Sergio Samper. Jordan Ferri, who was expected to start ahead of Samper will be on the bench due to tiredness after just arriving at Blackburn a matter of hours ago. The same will apply for winger, Sampeiro Jairo as he arrived with Ferri, this means 18 year old winger, Darin Rotariu will keep his place on the left of midfield after impressing in the friendly last night, bagging a hatrick in Blackburn 4-0 win over Lincoln. Jurgen Locadia is expected to lead the line, playing as a lone CF. Expected starting line up: Mat Ryan 82 Jonny Castro 84 niklas sale 82 Michael Keane 83 Alex grimaldo 82 Yuri Tielemans 82 sergi Samper 82 Durin Rotariu 80 Juan iturbe 86 benzia 85 Jorgen Locadia 86
  13. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Blackburn rovers: season preview The story so far: From day one of Matthew Horn's time at Blackburn, he has made some massive changes to the team. Bringing in a total of 18 new arrivals with a further 3 expected. Horn has gone for a very interesting philosophy, with every single one of his new signings are under 21, the majority still being in their teens. This has had mixed opinions from the fans, as some believe planning for the future of the club is a priority as that is a hurdle a lot of teams stumble over. However, not all agree with this new approach. A select few believe Blackburn will have no experience and know how now that their former big players have left. Those fans want to see players who have been there and done it, and players that can lead a team. "When was the last time you saw a teenager named captain of a prem of championship side?" asks one lifelong fan, Joe Bloggs, who went on to say, "this club is supposed to be a team in contention for promotion, and never has there been what is now a team of youths get promoted to the top league in their country within the big European leagues. We need leaders, players who can bring on the younger lads. Who is there to improve them?" many fans are asking the same questions but manager Matthew Horn has beaten them off the criticism and told the fans to "be patient". " I can understand why there may be some who disagree with me. That is fine, in an ideal world, Blackburn would be a premiership club, with world class players in the ranks and playing in Europe. But we aren't. The players that were at this club when I arrived have shown in the last 3 or so seasons that they themselves will not be the ones to lead us to promotion. Ever since this club got relegated, they have replied with mid-table finishes every season since that. Some fans may be happy with that, but I am not. I say its a time for a new era at Blackburn, and I can promise to the club and the fans that these players WILL get us up. Maybe not this season, maybe not the next. But from now on, things can only get better." Transfers - Tielemans 82 - Ryan 82 - Bagnack 80 - Sule 82 - Denswil 82 - Grimaldo 82 - Castro 84 - Samper 82 - Iturbe 86 - Jairo 86 - Benzia 85 - Locadia 86 - Brandt 77 - Ferri 85 - Rotariu 80 - Nahuel 80 - Neilton 80 Expected finish: 14th- good young squad but currently lacks the superior ratings to challenge for the play offs Key players Locadia- this lad is expected to grab the goals for Blackburn as he becomes their highest rated forward. Ryan- needs to keep the goals conceded to a minimum as defence may be where Blackburn falter. The young goalkeeper is expected to have a busy season. Iturbe- expected to become Blackburn play maker, he will need to lead the attacks going forward and provide loan forward locadia with the chances he'll need to get his target of 15+ goals this season. Expected line up: GK- m. Ryan 82 LB- a. Grimaldo 82 CB- n. Sue 82 CB- s. Denswil 84 RB- j. Castro 84 CDM- y. Tielemans 82 CDM- j. Ferro 85 RAM- Jairo 86 CAM- j. Iturbe 86 LAM- y. Benzia 85 ST- j. Locadia 86
  14. Re: Riferimento: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread you really are messing with the rest of us aren't yo mate, haha! your second team is still soopp much better than all of dog 2,3 and 4's first teams not to mention most division 1 sides first teams! You've done a good job there mate, even if you were rolling in cash and had more than enough resources. When in the position you started in, it sometimes turns out that when a team such as man city enters the early transfer frenzy, they come out of the other end with an incredibly unbalanced squad, normally with too many attackers.
  15. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Denswil and Neilson are the latest arrivals at Ewood park. Everybody that we have signed so far has been aged 21 or under! Most of our remaining transfer budget will be spent on 50,000 dummies needed to keep all our kids happy at this rate!

  20. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread BRIGHTON NEWS Brighton picked up another great win yesterday with a 2-1 victory over Nottingham forest. Erding gave brighton a fantastic start, scoring after 2 minutes. The game remained tight but neither side succeeded in finishing their chances. The sides went in at half time with the score 1-0 to Brighton. The second half started as the first ended, with the game very tight, however in the 78th minute, Erding struck again to make it 2-0 to the home side. From then on, Brighton appeared to dominate the game until the 89th minute, when Nottingham forest countered brilliantly, with Lass scoring 1 minute from time. this victory means Brighton are only 2 points from safety now, and with 13 games to go, thinks are beginning to brighten up.
  21. I can only buy one or two of these players from an unmanaged team: - Piazon - Marquinhos - De Sciglio - W. Carvalho - Paulinho - J. Rodriguez - Praet - Halilovic I am thinking I could narrow this down to four players because these guys would best suit my team. Marquinhos, W. Carvalho, Praet and Halilovic So I will only be able to buy one of the expensive ones and one of the cheaper ones. so, who should I get out of: William Carvalho / Marquinhos and then Praet / Halilovic?
  22. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Brighton pick up their first win under new manager, Matthew Horn, beating fellow relegation rivals milwall 3-1. This result means we are level on points with milwall, and only 4 points from safety.
  23. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread YORK CITY Vs SWANSEA This game was believed to be very important for York, as Swansea were a team struggling in recent games and at the wrong end of the table. If York were to win this, it would've almost certainly confirmed they were back on track and very unlikely to go down. The game kicked off with the York fans in high spirits, down to their recent back to back wins and another victory was expected here. The game stayed very quiet for the first 25 minutes with neiehter teams creating much, however a wonderful strike from Swansea defender, Romairo gave the Swans he lead. The rest of the half was dominated by York, but Swansea keeper, Manone was putting on a fantastic display, keeping the York at bay. the score was 1-0 to Swansea at half time. York started the second half knowing they needed to strike first to give themselves any real chance, however it was Swansea to score again after just 2 minutes with another long range effort, but this time from Souza. 2-0 Swansea and York were getting desperate. they were throwing everything they had at Swansea but manone remained as solid as ever, pulling off some incredible saves. Swansea then hit on the counter, and in the 83rd minute, a delicate chip from forward, Izaguirre made it 3-0. An embarrassing defeat from York which they will look to bounce back from with immediate effect. York Coty manager matthew Horn was unavailable for comment after the game as it was believed he drove off with the team bus, leaving the reat of the squad to walk home... this result leaves us 5 points off relegation now so we are still quite a way off but another couple of losses could really cost us.... 16 stoke 37 points 17 Blackburn 37 points 18 York 36 points 19 Leicester 33 points 20 Walsall 33 points --------------------------- 21 Bury 31 points 22 Swansea 31 points 23 Aldershot 24 points 24 Portsmouth 24 points
