  2. Re: Manager and Scout Reports No you aren't. These reports are there as an optional extra. What part of this are you not understanding?
  3. Re: SPL risers Tony Watt deserves a rise to around 83-84 right now, he's a tremendous young striker, who at just 18, has everything. Strength, pace, power, poise, and is a great finisher. I expect though, he'll only get a rise to the late 70s at best, which would be a travesty, but no more than you come to expect from the English bias on here
  4. Re: New player positions! What I have noticed though, is on the reports screen where it details rating and position changes, it still shows the position in the old format. Not a huge issue, but I guess one that's been overlooked. In fairness, I've only saw that on the first team I looked at, so the change may have happened before the positional changes.
  5. Re: New player positions! :D @ some of the hysterics on here. You'd think they'd made the player names invisible, so you had to guess who goes where. If these change of markers are making it too hard for you (I can't stop laughing at this), then perhaps go back to Halo or COD or something. HOW ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT AN 'AMĀ©' MEANS SM???? CANCELLING GOLD MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE OF THIS COMPLICATION!! I mean, seriously. Get a grip.
  6. Re: New player positions! Seriously, how is it 'hard'? The moaning people do at every cosmetic change in the game is unreal.
  7. Re: Loans from Unmanaged clubs Away and play something else then. Seriously. I think this is a great addition, and honest managers will use it the way it's meant to be. People who aren't so honest will always find ways of getting round everything. I recently took over a Chelsea team where Benayoun was recently purchased by the previous manager. He's not in my plans, and I'll be selling him as soon as his ban runs out. An unmanaged club loaned him this morning. Helps them, helps me.
  8. Re: New way to deal with concerns I do like this feature, and I think honest managers will use it effectively and wisely. Yeah, you have the other type of manager as well, but no matter what SM brings in, these people will find ways round it to cheat for their own gain. There's always going to be player hogging, but if you're a good manager, you can build a successful team with all 89/90 rated players. They should, however, have introduced this at the same time as the new concern system went in place. A lot of managers will have lost many good players in that interim period. Potential
  9. Re: Statistical Appearances I like the way that sub appearances are now separate from starting appearances, makes it more realistic as most real life stats are presented that way. However, it's a MAJOR negative that the stats view on the tactics screen now only shows league games instead of all games played. I'd like to see this part of it rectified.
  10. Re: What happened to the 0-0 draw I haven't noticed any differences to be honest. Had one or two 0-0 draws tonight in fact.
  11. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) Machine, the main point you seem to be missing is that players at the top level regularly play Sat-Wed-Sat, particularly in weeks when the Champions League is in play. Due to the fitness levels of the players in this game, this isn't possible meaning that squad rotation is an absolute necessity. The older concerns worked perfectly in tandem with this. It allowed you to keep a comfortable squad size of around 25 players, and while one or two players would invariably develop a concern or two, this was manageable. It sim

  13. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) Couple more examples. Since developing a level 1 concern just a couple of months ago in my Milan team, Alexandre Pato has played 14 out of the last 18 games, and scored 14 goals. He's now a level 4 concerned, and ready to leave. I'm going to lose my 2nd top scorer despite him being in the form of his life. In my PSV game, I also have a number of concerns, but I thought I'd have a scout about some other teams to see if it's just me. The Norwich team have a 1st team squad of 30 players, and 16 of them are concerned, inclu

  15. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) It was bad enough that he went to level 1 in the first place just after the injury, but what I don't understand is he's played every game since, and now he's level 2. He'll obviously drop these concerns in time, but my concern is if he gets another injury, as this clearly isn't taken into account.
  16. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) Ha, in my PSV team, 93 rated Rio Ferdinand jumped up to a level 2 concern this weekend, despite the fact he's been an ever present in the team, apart from the 12 games he missed through a recent bad injury. The game's a bogey folks.
  17. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) I would say that under the old system, I'd probably still have around five players with concerns, and I accept that. I have a 90-rated CB who's not managed a game at all in the first 30-odd that he could have played in, and in that situation, it's fully understandable that he'd have concerns (Hummels and Subotic are just too good tho!). In fact, he'll probably be moving on soon. This is where the concerns system works well. And it did work well, I thought it was an excellent addition to the game before. The latest changes
  18. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) After this latest round of concerns this week, my 23-man Dortmund squad now has TWELVE players with concerns. 23 players in a squad isn't exactly player-hogging, and you need a squad around that size to be competitive in all competitions. I try and rotate wherever possible whilst still trying to keep as strong a side as possible on the pitch. It's becoming impossible. In fact, one of the players who has developed a concern has only done so because I've been playing someone else in his position recently...who had concerns!
  19. Re: The Official Scottish Football Thread ( so 'The Rangers' fans can still join in) Personally, I thought Motherwell played very well against clearly a superior side. For a period in the 2nd half, they were the better side, but the European savvy of the Greeks told in the end. Of course, they could implode in the 2nd leg, but they'll do enough to get through comfortably, sadly.
  20. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) On the Buffon/Courtois scenario, which pages ago I mentioned was in my team, if I was to buy an relatively cheap 89-rated keeper, and never play him, would Courtois's concerns go down as he would then be the third choice keeper, and therefore not expected to play? By the time he was back at no concerns, I'd just sell the 89 keeper, and repeat this process until such times as Courtois was ready to be number 1. Sounds like a really silly way to go about it if this is the only way round it. I'd see the point if Courtois was
  21. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) I'm noticing these concerns don't seem to be consistent among all teams. As an example, in my Sampdoria team, back up keeper Courtois (88 rated) is now on a level 2 concern despite being behind 94 rated Buffon in the squad. There's no way I'm dropping a 94 rated keeper so an 88 rated one gets a few games. Therefore I'm going to be forced to sell a promising young keeper who would take over from Buffon eventually anyway. In my mate's Norwich squad in the same set up, he's got Ter-Stegen (87) as his back up goalkeeper who
  22. Re: Player Concerns (please read the Online Help if looking for help) 91 rated Thomas Vermaelen, an ever present in my Celtic team till he got a bad injury which kept him out the team for about 12 turns. When he recovered from injury his fitness was still only around 70%, so was left out for a maximum of 3 turns, now has a level 1 concern. That can't be right.
  23. Re: Increase on loaning out more players I think it's you who didn't read his post.
  24. Re: Jordi Alba Rating ? No he isn't. Here to help.
