    Re: Statistical Appearances
I like the way that sub appearances are now separate from starting appearances, makes it more realistic as most real life stats are presented that way.
However, it's a MAJOR negative that the stats view on the tactics screen now only shows league games instead of all games played. I'd like to see this part of it rectified.

I find this viewpoint bizarre to be honest. The new commentary is much more exciting than the old one. The look and feel of it has also improved immeasurably. For this to be 'gutting ' and for it to make you want to quit the game altogether is utterly baffling. There is now more suspense in the build up to a goal, surely that makes it more exciting than just one line telling you a goal has been scored? I rarely used the old score centre, but I'm using this one a lot now. Feels like a proper management sim at gametime.

Re: What games affect player condition?
Not entirely true. In some leagues within Gold Setups, "European" ties DO affect player fitness. I think (although it may just be coincidence) it happens in league with just one domestic cup competition.
But I agree with the OP, it's hugely annoying that piece of information has been removed. Change for negative effect. Poor.

It's quite straightforward. Click on 'Help', then click on the 'Support' tab on the window which opens. There's a list of FAQs there, and if your query is none of the listed ones, there's a link at the bottom to report your own query.

I've played this game for over 5 years, and I have never once ignored a transfer offer, no matter how silly it is.
But then again, this is because I have manners...

You truly are a pathetic individual. May I remind you that it is currently the WEEKEND...i.e. a time when the developers aren't likely to be working and/or responding to suggestions and improvement? You just cannot under any circumstances expect widespread changes instantly.
And besides, one of the greatest issues that has been raised following the full introduction of Beta was that of the new messaging system. As more and more people complained about it, SM recognised this and resolved the issue promptly - and they have already been on here saying that they shall look to further altar/improve it soon. I am certain that one of the next things they will be looking into will be to change the colour scheme of the site, offering the option to have the default green look as you could before because many have lobbied for this.
SM didn't force you to quit your teams. If you are too impatient to allow them to respond to your queries and complaints, then more fool you.

    Re: New User Interface [beta]
Sorry' date=' I barely understand any of that.
By the way, I've had nothing to do with any 'westgate' thing. I'd love to be involved with testing going forward, as I think I've been playing long enough to have some decent input, but I've no idea how to progress with that.
Anyway, as I have been since circa 2005, I'm loving the game. I enjoy it far more than FM, for example, and the recent changes have been excellent.
And do you know what? Unlike 90% of the moaners, I'll list what's great about the new interface
    a. The homepage is great. Lots of info, and since the message system has been fixed, it's even better.
    b. Tactics - The single biggest improvement. The way I can see various different stats, the way I can clear the whole squad at once (useful for cup games), the way I can choose how to pick my team without moving between options - fantastic.
    c. The Colour scheme - This has been criticised, but I really like how each club have their own colours in game. I like how when you bring up a player profile, it's in the colour of the team he plays for. Another great improvement.
    d. The overall ease of use. So many options are so much quicker to access. For example, I can get into the advanced search with one click. I can get into tactics with two, but I can still bypass my squad screen first, and there's a multitude of options on the squad screen itself that add a great deal of depth to the game.
The new interface is great. And hey, c'mere, see if you spend the time at the start to learn where everything works, and where everything is, then you'll find it's so much better than the previous interface. It's not perfect, but it's getting there.

Of all the ridiculous comments about the new interface, this is my favourite one.
    I mean, ?? :D:D
Also, for the chap who moaned that he couldn't find out if it's a domestic or international game coming up without clicking into more screens, well, if you hover your mouse over where it says 'Today', it tells you what game is being played that day.
As John said, everything's there that was there before, and a whole lot more. It's been a terrific step forward.

    Re: New User Interface [beta]
I'm utterly staggered at some of the comments over the last few pages, and I have one line to sum it up for the majority of them.
"I don't like the new user interface because I've made absolutely no effort to learn where anything is, or how anything works"
Weeks later, we're STILL having people moaning about not being able to drag and drop on the tactics screen, despite the fact you can, and you always have been able to.
We're STILL having people moan about not being able to delete all the messages at once, despite the fact you can, and you always have been able to.
We're STILL having people moan that you can't see the players stats or the players finances screen, despite the fact you can, and...well, you know the rest.
The new interface is fine. Nearly everything that was there before is still there (the real club lists is about the only thing I've found to be missing), and there's a whole lot of cool new stuff as well. The stats view on the tactics screen is great, as are the other helpful views, and it's good they've brought back the info 'pop up' on that screen too. I find the tactics screen far more enjoyable than the old interface, with many more options of how to pick your teams.
As far as I can tell, nothing takes longer to do than before, it just seems to be a case of people not bothering to learn where to look for stuff. That's hardly the fault of SM.
The one and only criticism I have of the new interface, as has been mentioned numerous times, is the messages system, which is definitely a step backwards from the old interface. But I'm sure that'll be sorted in time.
I'd give it a healthy 9/10. Well done guys.

Either or, I would say, both should rise to 90/91 over the next six months. Debuchy is slightly younger, and his team have just won Ligue 1, so he may get a better rise sooner, but really it's six and half a dozen. Both great full backs who I have in a number of my teams.

    Re: Gold Championship 1 News
Just taken over as manager of Aberdeen in the Scottish League.
First match was tonight, away to Dundee in the Cup. Left out most of my first teamers to save them for Wednesday's league game, and was delighted to see I'd still managed a convincing 5-0 win.
As far as transfers go, only two players have arrived so far. Young midfielder Jamie Ness arrives from free agency, and ex-Dundee Utd striker David Goodwillie is snapped up from Rennes. Moves to sign Alan Hutton and Barry Ferguson have both fallen through with neither the Marseille or Chelsea managers willing to budge.
    Well on the way then...
