The Blades are sharp ahead of the new season
Elton's young team are fired up ahead of the tomorrow's first game of the season, the transformation of the once-premiership team has breathed new life into their promotion hopes after failing to bounce back up last season. With the acquisitions of high-quality youngsters such as Willems & Reyes and strikers such as Gignac & Martinez who have something to prove the Blades have high hopes of a high finish in the league. The manager is ruling out auto promotion though, even with the optimism:

Gignac left Marseille after a promising start to the season, where he mades 4 starts and scored 3 goals, is he back to his old self?

only if many injuries will happen again
Montolivo, Nocerino, Ambrosini (quickly tired though), Emanuelson, Constant and Flamini all will play ahead of him (though we talk about 3 positions here, Traoré can play all 3). Muntari is also preferred over him, but is out for like 6 months. Strasser also is injured, for like several weeks, or 2 months maybe, whatever it was. Unsure if Strasser would be preferred over Traoré, but I hope so. Someone mentioned Valoti, also could get minutes, but obviously not in front of the defense just like many others neither (unlike Traoré). Don't expect a lot of Traoré. He could play though when Montolivo and Ambrosini can't/are rested, especially with Muntari and Strasser already injured.

    Promotions and Relegations decider

Teams getting promoted to the Premier league from the Championship

1st-Charlton Athletic going up as Champions with 1 game to go-Charlton have been the powerhouse of the Championship this year and will be battling for there lifes next season in a more tougher division. Can they survive ? It's all about tactics and luck my friend.Belhanda was one of their stand out performers throughout the season.
2nd-Three teams can still get that last Automatic promotion. With Burnley,Wigan and Sunderland all fighting for it.Which one has what it takes to take second ? who will crumble under the pressure ? which one will have to do it all over again next year ?.
Playoffs- With Burnley,Sunderland,Wigan all fighting for second. Two of them will end up in the playoffs for sure.Carlisle will join them with only one place up for grabs.Who will get it ? It's between Swansea,West Ham,West Brom and Bury but very unlikely for Bury.I feel Its between West Brom and Swansea. But West Brom have to play table toppers Charlton so it wont be easy.
Teams getting Relegated from Premier league to the Championship

®20th- QPR.Not a very good way to have your first season in the premier league end with Relegation.Could you blame the team ? The manager tactics ? or the fact it was a hard division to survive,Personally i feel it was there poor start to the season.Yes they won their first game but after that they didn't win for 17 league games and 12 of them were losts so that is the reason to getting relagated.
®19th-Bolton Wanderers- I blame inconsistency for them. One week they win the next they lose or draw. They only recorded one back to back wins in the league and that is their problem really.I do feel for their manager as he only joined halfway and to save them was a impossible job.Meaning Bolton W are going to be playing Championship football for the first time in 7046 History.
18th- With one place left up for grabs and only 2 teams fighting to avoid it.Chelsea and Norwich are ones who arent trying to survive.Whatever team goes down it would be a shock to division 1.Chelsea prob one of the best teams in the division rating wise could be playing division 2 football which doesn't seem right. But Aaron has had alot of troubles with them this season and its quite a shame for it too happen to him as he is a good manager. On the other Hand.Rob's Norwich are a little team who have came from out of the blue to surprise division 1.Many tipped them for relegation,it could still happen but they are giving a good fight,so credit to you Rob you have built a great team.

Teams getting promoted to the N power Championship from League 1

1st- Yeovil Town © - Going to the N power Championship currently being champions in League 1 is always a good way to go up.But the Championship is so much harder. Also voted one of the hardest divisions to get out of.But if history is on their side then they should get promoted easily.Remember Josh's Norwich ? He run away with the division with an average side. But this Yeovil side is not average, they already have 3 90's who over 30's so that should give them experience.I say they will finish in the playoffs.
2nd- Portsmouth - (P) - This division must of been a walk in the park for Yeovil and Portsmouth seeing as Yeovil are 7 points above Portsmouth and Portsmouth have a 9 points advantage of 3rd place Derby.Do Portsmouth have what it takes to battle in division 2 ? I believe they do and the players you should watch out for are Kagawa and KPB and their Top goal scorer Gomis who scored 20 goals and 12 assists with 10 man of the matches. Can he get that form in a tougher division and score 20 goals there ? I think he will get 22 next season and i see Portsmouth around the play offs.
Play offs - League 1 play offs is full of competition this year. With Derby already claiming a ticket to the semi finals. But the teams from 4th to 10th are still with a chance to get the last 3 spaces with Millwall;Crystal Palace;Exeter City;Peterbrough United;Hull City;Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday.
Which three teams out of the 7 will get the last 3 spaces ?.This is surely is going to be a breath taking end to the season.

Teams getting Relegated to League 1 from Championship

®-20th- Cardiff City - First team to get relegated from the Championship with 1 game to go.Cardiff were relegated last night due to a 5-4 lost to playoff chasers West Brom. After a poor season they are finally going down to league 1 where they will face a challenge where they should get promoted but football isn't that easy is it ? .
19th and 18th - 7 teams are fighting to avoid these places. But two of them,Blackpool and Blackburn are 3 points away from 18th with GD of -5 and -10 they should be safe as 18th has 42 points and -20,but football is a crazy sport so anything can happen. But the teams who are still in it are Coventry;Plymouth Argyle;Watford; Birmingham City and Preston North end.The odds are favorite for Coventry to go down where they have a total of 40 points and are 3 points from safety but can there GD act as a extra point ?.The games too watch are automatic chasers Wigan vs Relegation threaten Coventry and Blackburn Vs Plymouth Argyle you can also add Bury Vs Watford as Bury need to win to have a chance at Playoffs and Watford need a win to assure survival.
Teams getting promoted to N power League 1 from N power League 2
1st- Southampton - © They have ran away with this league showing no mercy to the other teams.Southampton are 23 points away from second. They have broken a 7046 history record.Recording 87 points. They may extend this on Wednesday. But the previous holders were Brighton who had 86 points.Well done Rick. But Dag and redbridge hold the most goals scored in division 4 with a total of 112 goals.
2nd- 3 Teams can still get Second with Shrewsbury Town,Brighton and Hove Albion and Northampton Town still fighting.Northampton could of gone second if they didn't suffer a 3-2 lost to 19th place Brentford.
Northampton will face bottom of the league Colchester United,
Shrewsbury Town face 19th place Brentford and Brighton and Hove Albion face AFC Bournemouth. Will be a good end to season for 1 team and the other 2 will face a play off spot.
Play offs- 4 teams fighting for 2 places.Southend United,Burton Albion,Gillingham and Tranmere will fight on the last day for the remaining 2 places.Tranmere have the hardest Job to do as they would need to win atleast 8-0 to get their GD up to the other 3 teams GD.They face Bristol Rovers.Where Burton Albion face Gillingham so i dont think Tranmere can get promoted really as they would need Southend to lose to Chesterfield like 6-0 and Hope Burton and Gillingham to draw.I feel Gillingham and Southend will get play offs. But hope Tranmere can offer something for a action packed last day.
Teams getting Relegated to League 2 from League 1

®-20th- Barnsley take the bate of finishing bottom of division 3.If they had won like 4 of there last 5 games they could of had a chance to survive but it's too late now and League 2 will be tough to get out of now they should start preparing for life in League 2 by cutting down their wage bill as revenue is quite bad.
®-19th- Stockport County - Mr Hammer couldn't save Stockport as they were relegated last night due to a 2-2 draw vs Wallsall.Beckham 14 goals and 9 assists weren't enough to keep them up and they will be playing division 4 football yet again just after they got promoted last season. They also have Arshavin now who should do well in Division 4.So i expect them to get promoted again.
18th- Last spot left to be decided in league 1 and the teams who are involved are Reading,Notts County and Oldham Athletic. It looks almost certain that Oldham are down due to being 3 points away from Reading and Notts County and their poor GD doesn't help them one bit and life doesn't get easier for them as they play champions Yeovil. Will Yeovil let them win ? lets hope not and lets hope they give them a good game.Notts County got promoted last season with Darlo and he has had a tough season to try and keep them up but he has probably just done enough now as they prepare for league 1 again next season.Reading will play already relegated side Stockport where Stockport could bring Reading down with them if Oldham win like 6-0.Crazy stuff has happen as Chelsea did Beat Man utd 5-0 last night to keep their division 1 status alive till the last game.Notts County play Crystal Palace who are chasing playoffs so it wont be an easy game for Darlo's team but a point for him and Reading will keep them up and send Oldham down to League 2.

    DIVISION 1 PREVIEWS

    SMH's Views may offend.
    SMH's Previews -Turn 13:
    Division 1
Manchester United 2- 1 Sheffield United
Title favourites Man United are a banker here although Sheffield are flying high after recent results so they might think different about this.
    Everton 2- 0 Manchester City
There have only been two recent meetings between the sides with a win a piece both going to the home side,I see no reason for that changing although I doubt it will be as emphatic as the 5-1 wiin Everton gave City last time around.
    Fulham 1- 3 Bolton Wanderers
Fulham don't seem to like playing Bolton as could be seen by the 6-0 thrashing they recieved last tme out playing them.Bolton have won 3 of the 4 games between the sides with a 14-2 scoreline in there favour so are an easy pick for the 3 points here.
Newcastle United 2- 0 Norwich City
High flying Newcastle are playng above expectations so should have no fears playing Norwich for the first time in the set up, easy 3 points in the bag for the Toon Army as they hunt down leaders Man U.
    Chelsea 2- 0 Huddersfield Town
Chelsea are a side in need of some new ideas as they are struggling big style, but even without the injured pair of Young & Silva they will be confident of taking the 3 points from Huddersfield who are yet to score a goal against them in the 2 previous meetings[1-0& 3-0 wins for Chelsea].Huddersfield are missing Pepe & Schelotto for this game, Huddersfield will be hoping that the new management style implicated by new boss will help them grind out a result here.
Tottenham Hotspur 2- 1 Queens Park Rangers
Spurs season has yet to get started really and even at this early stage a defeat here to bottom club QPR would have the players and management start thinking about what life is like in division 2. This is the first meeting between the sides.
    Middlesbrough 3 - 0 LIVERPOOL
Liverpool have registered just 1 win from 4 against Boro but that win was at the end of last season under new management [assistant got the win], Liverpool are struggling in league and with a lt of NMF players it is hard to see them getting any kind of result against Jooles Boro who are tracking that top 4 spot.Hazard misses the game.
    Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 0 Leeds United
Wolves sit in 4th place and will be loking forward to this game as they are yet to taste defeat in 4 games against Leeds [3 wins & a draw].Leeds are pottering in mid table and I doubt they will be able to match up against Wolves and there tactically minded manager in this game.
Milton Keynes Dons 0- 2 Bristol City
2 wins apeice for the sides in 4 games played head to head but Bristol have won the last 2 games so the tide is definitely turning there way.Mk Dons are sitting in 3rd from bottom place and will need to get the finger out soon or they will become detached from the rest.Away win .
    Arsenal 1-3 Nottingham Forest
Forest are cruising in 3rd place and are acting like they have never been
away.Arsenal are yet to find consistency under new management and will have there work cut out here trying to get something from the wily old Forest manager.

I expect that Vik will bottle this and get thrashed but I have a feeling that my run will come to an end against the worst possible opponent
    Blades 1-3 Man City
    Manchester United vs. Bolton Wanderers
Bolton are in poor form and are the minnows here as they travel to a United that are no strangers to pole position in this division, Bolton need a miracle to come out with a draw let alone a win.
    Man Utd 4-0 Bolton
    Everton vs. Norwich City
Everton have the better form, team and home advantage but I think that Norwich will ****** a late draw. It's Berbatov's time to shine
    Everton 1-1 Norwich
    Fulham vs. Huddersfield Town
    Huddersfield will annihilate Fulham
    Fulham 1-99 Huddersfield
Newcastle United vs. Queens Park Rangers
Newcastle have made a great start to the season, QPR haven't. QPR should therefore win, because this is SM after all
    Newcastle 2-3 QPR
    Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Both of these teams are in poor form but I think this is the match that Chelsea will finally win.
    Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool
    Tottenham Hotspur vs. Leeds United
Both of these teams are having a similar start to the season, one which they will hope ends here with a win, but Spurs' quality will prevail on their own turf.
    Spurs 3-1 Leeds
    Middlesbrough vs. Bristol City
This will be an interesting one to call, Bristol are over-achieving and going strong and Boro are trying desperately to catch up with the leaders if they want to stand any chance to regain their title. I can see this being a draw.
    Boro 2-2 Bristol City
    Wolves vs. Arsenal
Wolves are also having a great season so far while Arsenal's manager is still coming to terms with having a squad of superstars at his helm. I think Arsenal need to prove themselves and fast if they are to ever achieve anything in this setup.
    Wolves 2-1 Arsenal
Milton Keynes Dons vs. Nottingham Forest
MK Dons are having a second season syndrome after doing to well after promotion last season and now languishing down in 18th and in poor form. Nottingham Forest are now back in Division 1 and yet again find themselves in a great position after promotion, I expect them to dispose of MK Dons here.

    Division 1
    Turn 7 Previews

What with 4 teams sharing the same number of points at the top, with no team unbeaten, and with shock results coming up week after week, division 1’s season 5 is already shaping up to be a cracker! You’d be a brave man to put your money on who the top dogs will be this time around. Still, it’s early days yet. Give it a week or two and things will settle down to a more familiar pattern. Nevertheless, it’s great stuff, unless you’re a poor previewer trying to make head or tail of it that is…

    EkFlnhCOV18
Week 7 so here’s Shed Seven and
“Getting Better” (‘cos it really is!)
    Bolton vs. Norwich
    14th vs. 17th

A real relegation 6 pointer here with the mercurial Bolton hosting struggling Norwich. All eyes will be on the big man Berba who has spectacularly failed to deliver since his cut-price move from Manchester at the beginning of the season and is already showing signs of depression that spending too much time out in Norfolk has been known to bring. For all the huff and puff that Norwich will bring it’s hard to seeing them getting much out of this one, especially with the likes of Valdes between the sticks for Bolton and Robben pulling the strings upfront. Comfortable home win and things to go from bad to worse for poor old Berba.

    Prediction: Bolton 3 - 1 Norwich

Norfolk in chance for Norwich boss Rob Walshe? (above)

    Man City vs. Huddersfield
    2nd vs. 8th

Nosebleed time for City boss Predator who in atypical fashion has somehow hit the dizzy heights of 2nd. Still, he’s got the wee man now and seems to know how to use him. Expect City to shine in the early part of this season but then drop away faster than a Dudeskin when injuries, cup games and suspensions highlight how they’ve overstretched by putting all their eggs in one basket. In fairness Huddersfield too are having a solid start to the season and should be delighted to be up in 8th. After a shaky first couple of games they’re now unbeaten in 4 but will be tested to the max here. Expect them to try and shut up shop and keep things tight in damage limitation mode. They’ll either do that and squeak a backs to the wall draw or get thumped, most likely the latter...

    Prediction: Man City 4 - 0 Huddersfield
    Sheff Utd. vs. QPR
    16th vs. 18th

It’s been somewhat of a realty check for newcomers QPR after their opening season win. Still, United too only have 1 win to their name, though that came away at Anfield, much to the delight of Sheffield boss Elton. Still, QPR demonstrated their resilience by winning a fine promotion last season and should be written off at their peril. Expect a bruiser of an encounter here, not one for the purist, with the spoils shared.

    Prediction: Sheff Utd. 2 - 2 QPR
    Man Utd. vs. Liverpool
    5th vs. 10th

In real life you’d expect a belter of a match here but with former greats United clearly on the decline and the people’s title favorites Liverpool flapping aimlessly with their boss seemingly AWOL again these two once-great clubs appear to be only a shadow of their former selves. The match-up sees the tactically inept one trick pony come up against the thinking man’s tactician, and it’s really how Liverpool choose to counter the predictability of United that will decide this game. Expect a tight game with Liverpool to bounce back from recent disappointments to just edge this one.

    Prediction: Man-ure 1 - 2 Loserpool
    Everton vs. Leeds
    6th vs. 9th

There’s been goals galore for Everton fans so far this season, with the league’s second top-scorers also struggling to plug a leaky defence. With injuries and suspensions to first-teamers Walcott and Baines cracks may be starting to appear though in what’s otherwise been an excellent start for the Toffees. Leeds lie just behind them in the league though, hanging off their coat-tails 1 point adrift. On paper Leeds are a solid side and coupled with the tactical acumen of manager Inferno can easily give Everton a run for their money. Delve deeper though and it’s shocking to see how little depth there is in that Leeds squad and they could really struggle later in the season. Not today though, and with every point counting expect Leeds to steal a shock away win.

    Prediction: Everton 1 - 3 Leeds

    Division 1 Previews and Predictions

    Season 5 - Turn 6
    Nottingham Forest vs. Norwich City
Forest's rollercoaster history in 7046 has been more unpredictable than Charlie Sheen, with 2 promotions, 1 relegation and finishing in the top 4 of Division 1 in their second season. Their squad isn't as ageing as it used to be and they still are a one-man team like usual (). Their start to the season has been decent and here they come up against Rob's new team Norwich who would be performing quite a miracle if they don't go down, they'll look to Berbatov and N'Zogbia to produce magic moments and get them results. I will probably get this prediction wrong but I'll go for a draw.
    Forest 1-1 Norwich
    Huddersfield Town vs. Bolton Wanderers
In this fixture, Huddersfield have the weaker team and less Division 1 experience than Bolton who have talented players such as Robben and Valdes. The Trotters will have their work cut out here though with Huddersfield having home advantage as well as being unbeaten in 4 matches, winning 3 of those. I can still see this ending up as a Bolton win.
    Huddersfield 1-3 Bolton
Queens Park Rangers vs. Manchester City
QPR enjoyed a successful campaign getting promoted last season and so far they haven't made the best of starts with naturally having one of the weaker teams in the division. City on the other hand have gone beyond the baby steps most of their players were capable of in a torrid previous season and they now find themselves in 3rd place. Predator better hope his symmetrical tactics don't backfire on him or David Luiz decides he wants to outshine Messi Other than that, City should win this game unless QPR do something special.
    QPR 0-2 City
    Liverpool vs. Sheffield United
Liverpool are a squad full of stars, somewhat of a parallel universe to their real-life counterparts Their form matches the talent with them picking up a decent 9 points out of 15 so far. As for my team, we are doomed.
    Pool 3-0 Sheffield
    Leeds United vs. Manchester United
The Whites are having a good season so far with them being the only unbeaten team in these 5 games, that could all change though with United as ever managing to pick up results they way they normally do. This is a tricky one to predict, Torres will have to be on his best ... ahem ... form to get past Reina. I can see this ending in frustrating draw for both teams.
    Leeds 1-1 United
    Bristol City vs. Everton
Here we have one manager that have made a staggering amount of transfers, and one that prays someone will want any of his players other than Gotze Bristol have astonishingly propelled into 1st spot above teams that would've pulverised their decrepit squad a season back, but now they are far stronger and have hit the ground running so far. Everton aren't doing that bad either with them lying in 6th spot so far, an improvement on last year, I'll have this down as a Bristol City win, his old team will come back to haunt him
    Bristol City 2-1 Everton
    Arsenal vs. Fulham
This match has the potential to be even more exciting than a marathon of Countdown Both teams are in good form so far like most of the teams around them. The referee will have his work cut out tonight though with Busquets, Dani Alves and Pedro keen to retain the spotlight amid Andy Carroll taking an invisible arrow to the knee. I can see both of these teams aspirations to win the league resulting in an anti-climatic stalemate. However Fulham do have Koscielny so they should in theory automatically win
    Arsenal 2-2 Fulham
Milton Keynes Dons vs. Newcastle United
The Dons have made a poor start to the season with only 1 point so far accumulated, Di Natale and Cisse have obviously lost their shooting boots. Toon on the other hand are enjoying a good start and will look to getting as many points on the board while they are still in touching distance of 1st. I think this will end as an MK Dons win, that will kick start their season.
    MK Dons 2-1 Toon
    Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Chelsea
Wolves are having a great season so far and look set to capitalise on Chelsea's poor start to the season with their good form and home advantage favouring them. You can see why Chelsea are struggling, so many big names that would prefer to run the club themselves rather than manager I think that Wolves will make the most of Chelsea's form and sneak a win.
    Wolves 1-0 Chelsea
    Middlesbrough vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Both these teams have made dreadful starts in contrast to last season's success. Boro have also only managed 2 goals so far, Casillas has really lost his way, where will the goals come from now? RVP and Ibra haven't lived up to their godly statuses with only 2 goals between them. Both teams will look to catch up with the teams above them and not fall behind at this early stage. I can see this being won by the team who knows didly-squat about tactics.
    Boro 0-1 Spurs
