  2. Re: John Stones Already drawn interest from premiership clubs, Chelsea reportedly chasing him at £2M. Played tremendously up to now, still makes odd mistakes but will defo be in premiership before he's 21.
  3. Re: Jacob Butterfield - 10k Butterfield now started all four of Barnsley's league and cup games scoring one goal. Luke Potter who is rated 69 has now played 180 minutes in league and cup for Barnsley.
  4. Re: Jacob Butterfield - 10k I won't make an habit of updating every time he plays but 90 minutes and a goal (his first ever goal) today in barnsleys 2-2 draw at sheff wed.
  5. Jacob Butterfield Age. 19 Squad number. 19 Appearances. 9 Position. CM This is a post coming from a Barnsley ST holder. After watching this guy in the latter of last season and four of our pre-season games, he is definatly going to be pushing for a regular place this coming season. His performance in our 1-1 draw with a £129m rated Manchester city in the final of our friendlies (*note he was awarded MOM) was outstanding and has earned himself a place in the starting line vs Sheff Wed tomorrow. Barnsley are currently without an attacking midfielder and we have turned our attention away from buying one because of this guys pre-season form. This is the season you need to snap him up, or at least shortlist him because i feel he may have a rise on the way as Barnsley's first teamers average around 81. At 10k, hes a risk worth taking. I would also expect Rueban Noble-Lazarus to feature in more games this term as he too has played well in all pre-season games he's played. With the introduction of the 7 subs rule, he will no doubt feature on the bench for the best part of the season. Other Barnsley risers Daniel Bogdanovic - will reach 81 next changes, a name to look out for....
  6. Re: Counter tactician help Great system, guided me to three straight wins against Luton, Swindon and Darlington in GC1. (i promise il leave you alone now:)) Also guided be to a win and a draw in one of my other setups, stopping anther winless run!!! I couldnt buy any consistency before!!
  7. Re: Giuseppe Bellusci 72- Future 90? (must buy) Made the step upto Serie A a couple of weeks ago by signing for Catania. A good early run in the team will earn an increase to 85/86 this time around. Article from goal.com on 25th June "The youngster, who has earned comparisons to Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro, has impressed in Italy’s Second Division and had attracted interest from the likes of Juventus and Napoli. But Catania have seemingly beaten their more illustrious rivals to the punch and Bellusci signed a contract with the Etnei last night. An official announcement from the Elefanti is expected shortly. Bellusci should move to the Stadio Massimino in a €1.8 million co-ownership deal plus the services of either Vito Falconieri or Mirko Antenucci"
  8. Re: Marcus Berg Hamburg have completed the signing of Marcus Berg from Groningen, with the Swedish striker signing a five-year contract. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_5438838,00.html
  9. Re: Bundesliga Analysis & Predictions 2008/2009 Is Schweinsteiger's 92 best rating he'l be in germany?
  10. Has anyone ever had success and decent avr match ratings with a fwd/wing playing on the right or left of a 4 man midfield? This is a question about fwd/wing and not wing/fwd. Cheers
  11. Re: Giuseppe Bellusci 72- Future 90? (must buy) Id see what happens over the summer mate. LATEST 25/05/09 Central defender Giuseppe Bellusci is one of the brightest prospects in Italian football and his impressive performances with Serie B side Ascoli this season have earned him attention from a number of top Serie A clubs, including Roma, the club where he would ideally like to be playing next season. Juventus were linked with a move for the 19-year-old during the January transfer window and press reports suggest that the Old Lady are set to secure his services for a fee of €2.5 million. But Roma, Milan and Lazio are also monitoring the situation and Bellusci seems to have set his sights on a move to the Eternal City. “I am pleased that important clubs with glorious pasts such as Juve, Milan and Lazio are interested in me,” he told Tuttomercatoweb. “I will meet with my agents and [Ascoli president Roberto] Benigni at the end of the season, but I have already made my choice. If an opportunity arises, I would run to Rome. “I don’t want to slight the other offers, but Roma are a step above the rest because of the club and their fans.” Vince Masiello, Goal.com source http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/05/25/1284985/ascoli-defender-giuseppe-bellusci-wants-roma-move
