  1. Re: "A particular Club Wanted" Thread

I recently took over the Landy League that was locked and I opened it up. The seventh season just finished and there are 2 dozen teams with 200+ Mil that are available with good players (Inter, Man U, Lazio, Dortmund, PSG, Celtic, Sao Paulo, Spurs) and Barcelona will be available in a few days. Could use a few good managers to liven things up

    Thanks for reading

  3. Re: Jack Mcbean: future of US soccer

Future of US soccer, I have heard that too many times

Adu, Altidore, Shea, Jerome, Edwards, Johnson, Salgado' Gil and lets not forget Tristan Bowen who was LA Galaxy's youngest signing who didn't get alot of playing time before beng shipped off

PS... McBean currently isn't in any of US youth pools (see Jerome and Edwards)

  4. Re: Brek Shea : The Next American Superstar

Let's see if Shea can keep his spot on the USA squad next summer when the WCQ start up. Don't read too much into Shea's training stint with Arsenal Klinsman has arranged about a dozen of these in europe for MLS players in the USA pool. Most of you know that the MLS off season is quite lengthy and Shea's season ended the end of October with the next USA camp in January

That being said Shea is talented and I do have him on some of my teams

Dermo is right Shea is probably not going anywhere in the near future

  5. Re: Sheanon Williams - Big Riser

Nice find but i think 83/82 is a bit optimistic if you take into consideration that Philadelphia has an average rating about 81-82' date=' their top player is rated 85 and SM is very cautios these days.[/quote']

In case you didn't know Philadephia was an expansion team last season and they did not do well. a rise to 82 is not out of the question but I predict 81 if the ratings are done soon

  6. Re: John Rooney - Brother of Wayne

I was at the draft as RBNY took 70 fans down to Baltimore to watch the proceedings. Rooney is not going to CB I don't know what Berg is smoking. MLS roster expended to 30 from 24 so unless there is an injury Rooney will make the final roster as Backe rates him. I thought Rooney performed well at the combine as I watched all of the games as well. Backe said he is looking for an international CB as he wasn't able to get one of his targets at the draft. If he doesn't get one Rafa Marquez would probably move to CB. If that was to happen Lindpere and Tchani would be the perferred CM pairing though Norwegian International Jan Gunnar Solli might have something to say about that. Rooney talked to us briefly and he's pretty excited to get started and he thanked us for the warm reception which he wasn't expecting

  7. Re: MLS Ratings 2010 - by Totti417

I have probably added 55 ratings points so far. I have picked up most of the risers over the summer 12-15 players. Both predicted correctly that Henry and Marquez would drop under 90 which appears to be the league cap (fair number, now I can pick them up). Looking forward to Thursday's MLS draft so we can do this again in 6 months.

  8. Re: The Best Talent of 10k

    USA - MLS

    Kyle Nakazawa - Philadelphia Union - 70-76/77

    Tristen Bowen - LA Galaxy - 70-77/76

    Sean Johnson - Chicago Fire - 70-77

Juan Agudelo - New York Red Bulls - 70-75

Tony Tchani - New York Red Bulls - 72-79/80

    Eric Alexander - FC Dallas - 72-78/77

    Michael Stephens - LA Galaxy - 73-80

    Blair Gavin - Chivas USA - 73-79

    Andy Najar - D.C. United - 73-80/79

    Danny Mwanga - Philadelphia Union - 73-79/80

    Spain - La Liga

    Joao Victor - Mallorca - 70-80

[Not all 10k risers' date= but all very cheap and all should get good rises. Please bare in mind these are my first attempts at predictions, but they look about right to me.[/quote]

I think Nakazawa is too high more like 75

Johnson might be lower due to injury but otherwise 77 is fair

    Tchani - I'm thinking 78

Stephens tailed off in the end so maybe 78/79

Victor - good job one that one as he went to 82

  9. Re: Respuesta: MLS Ratings 2010 - by Totti417

Since this is an MLS thread' date=' I'd like to keep it strictly MLS. Also, I'm not sure if there any good buys for players in the D2 Pro League.[/quote']

Well Vancover and Portland played in the second divison this year and Ryan Pore was the league MVP and golden boot winner. Eddie Johnson was also among the leading scorers as well playing for Austin Aztex
