  1. Not played this game for a long time, just wandering if you get any notices still about when a GC is going to be made? Or has been made.... any info is appreciated.
  2. Re: Tottenham Hotspur - Domestic Dominance. Spurs score twice to sink HSV. Friday 4th July, 2014. Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 HSV Walker '50 Cavani '85 (penalty) Walker celebrates the opening goal in Spurs' Europa League clash. Two goals from Kyle Walker and Edinson Cavani in the second half were enough to send HSV back to Germany with 0 points in their vital Group B clash at the Lane. The win puts Griffin's Spurs at the summit of the group, after just one game. VFB Stuttgart and Russian outfit Spartak Moskva are the other two teams that make up Group B and two goals from Dmitri Kombarov secured a 2-1 win for Spartak. As things stand, this is how Group B looks; 1. Tottenham Hotspur 3 2. Spartak Moskva 3 ---------------------- 3. VFB Stuttgart 0 4. HSV 0
  3. Re: Tottenham Hotspur - Domestic Dominance. Tottenham quick off the mark. Tuesday 1st July, 2014. Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 West Bromwich Albion Erik Lamela '3 Nacer Chadli '50 Christian Eriksen '55 Christian Eriksen bags his first goal of the season and secures all 3 points. Dan Griffin's return has been bouncing all around England this week and everyone was expecting an easy win for him when his side took on West Brom last Saturday. With none of the new signings available to take place in the squad, he had to select a squad of 18 left over from the AVB era. It was a nervy first 30 minutes for the new boss as the scoreline was sat on 1-1, with The Baggies equalising through Argentine Claudio Yacob on 21 minutes, and they were pushing for a lead. Half Time score 1-1 with the Birmingham outfit looking most likely to score. Start of the second half and it looked like Griffin really pelted into his side and got them roaring, as they scored 2 inside the first 10 minutes of the restart through Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen. The assists came through Roberto Soldado, Eriksen and Vlad Chiriches. Full time at the Lane and Spurs ran out 3-1 winners, a comfortable result in the end. The win leaves them lying in 3rd place, heres what the Spurs boss had to say; 'It's a great start for me, i'm disappointed we didn't keep a clean sheet but you cant have it all! First win under our belts is great and we look to go get a win against Villa on Wednesday night.' Lloris, Walker, Chiriches, Vertonghen, Capoue, Sandro, Paulinho, Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli, Soldado.
  4. Return to management for Griffin. Monday 30th June, 2014. A sensational return to management for English boss Dan Griffin has seen him sign a 2 year contract with North London club Tottenham Hotspur. The deal was thought to be agreed and wrapped up last friday, but has just been announced today along with 6 new signings for Griffin. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been wanting a manager with alot of experience in the English leagues since the Harry Redknapp days, and since the sacking of Andre villas Boas, it was always inevitable that Griffin was going to return to the game. With the season now underway, Griffin is looking to absoloutely dominate England and bring back all three available domestic trophies and look to qualify for next years UEFA Champions league.

  10. Re: Official Red Devils Thread If he has a release clause of what United have offered, how have they been able to reject the bid if he's agreed personal terms with United? Surely they can't have a say in the transfer if they've matched the clause?? Regardless of how many days it is until it rises to €40m odd...

  15. Re: Tottenham Hotspur Euro 3532 Tottenham's good form falls Tottenham stars Bale (left) and veteran Brad Freidel (right) look on in despair. Tottenham 1-1 Zenit Defoe 69 Lyon 2-0 Tottenham "I am dissappointed with the way we have performed in our latest matches, especially after such a strong start, beating Liverpool & Chelsea, and then getting a draw at the Bernabeu in a friendly. I've spoken with the lads, and results like these are not going to happen again, i've made that clear. We have two important games coming up tonight an tomorrow, my main focus is the cup game away to Man City, my assistant Richard Shaw will take control tonight, we will then look to get our league campaign back up and running Wednesday night against Villarreal at The Lane."

  18. Billy Daniels Rating: Not on D/B Minutes Played: 175 Expected rating when added: 70 Full name: Billy Jordan Daniels Date of birth: 3 July 1994 (18 years old) Place of birth: Bristol Squad number: 27 Born in Bristol, Billy Daniels signed for Coventry City on professional terms in May 2012 after impressing in the Academy. The youngster played a pivotal part in Gregor Rioch's side clinching second spot in the FA Academy Premier League and was handed a squad number by first team boss Andy Thorn in the final weeks of the 2011/12 season. In October 2011, his efforts were recognised nationally when he won the Football League Education Apprentice of the Month. His professional debut for Coventry came on 14 August 2011, in a 1–0 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge in the Football League Cup. He then went on to play 85 minutes in Coventry's opening League One fixture of the 2012/13 season away at Yeovil Town, where the game ended 1-1. Daniels went off with a suspected fractured metatarsal. The reports were wrong, and the scan showed it was just a heavy bruising. Recently, Kevin Kilbane has come out publicy saying Daniels has impressed him in pre-season training. Daniels was announced on the bench recently for Coventry's League One encounter with Sheffield United, he did not get on the pitch.
  19. Griffin gets dream job! Dan Griffin has put pen to paper on a 5 year deal with the Sky Blues. Reports coming out of the Ricoh Arena this morning is that English born and bred manager Dan Griffin has joined the Sky Blues. Since their recent relegation from the Championship, the whole setup has undergone a major re-structuring, and recent casualty is Andy Thorn, former manager. I have supported the Sky Blues ever since I was a kid, it really is a dream come true to take the hotseat at the Ricoh Arena. My aim is to blood the youngsters into the side, and make a very strong charge back into the Championship. Tonight's fixture against Lincoln City will consist of all players under the age of 21. No first teamers will play part of this fixture. It is believed Griffin has around £15 million to spend in the transfer market. Griffin has wasted no time in putting Sammy Clingan on the transfer list. Loan signings Callum Ball and Reece Brown are both expected to start for the Sky Blues tonight, with hot prospects Adam Barton and John Fleck both set to start aswell. Chris Hussey has been deemed fit to play.
