  13. Re: Philippe Coutinho from goal.com The 16-year-old, better known simply as 'Coutinho', signs on at the San Siro for a fee said to be in the region of €10m. The attacking midfielder is one of the most-discussed youngsters in Brazilian footballing circles, and despite having made just a handful of first team appearances he was previously tracked by Real Madrid. Club president Roberto Dinamita told Radio Bandeirantes today, however, that the Spanish side's interest was moot after Inter paid 10 million Brazilian reals for Coutinho's services. However as part of the deal the youngster will re

  18. Re: Manchester United Talents. Magnus Wolff Eikrem DOB: 08 Aug 1990 A midfielder with good vision, Magnus is the latest addition to United's Academy family. Magnus joins United on 8 August when he celebrates his 16th birthday. He comes with a good reputation after being spotted at Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s soccer school in Norway. He is a very skilful player that can play anywhere across the midfield, though he is predominantly a central midfield player. He posesses bundles of ability and the United coaching staff are hopeful his skills can flourish in England after he turned down Norwegi
  19. Re: Manchester United Talents. Rico Gomes: I cant find anything about him. All I know is that he is in the Portugal U-15's. Queiroz coached his dad to victory in the World Youth Cup
  20. Re: Manchester United Talents. Davide Petrucci: Alread mentoined on the forum but I will put him in this section Again, from what I've been told, Petrucci is a playmaker who will link play in an support striker role. On that basis, I imagine with Macheda and Petrucci of them being 16, they could make a good partnership for our Academy/Reserve sides and maybe even for the Italy U17s side. However, Petrucci does have a very good goal scoring record and to be honest...there is far more excitement/fuss over him than there was Macheda back in Italy because he is thought to be someone who is very
  21. Re: Manchester United Talents. Danny Welbeck: DOB: 26 November 1990 Danny Welbeck is a highly talented, skilful player who can play out wide or up front. He has been likened by Sir Alex Ferguson to former Arsenal forward Nwankwo Kanu for his manner of play. “He’s got a smooth and languid style,” says Paul McGuinness, his coach at Under-18 level. “But don’t let that fool you, it sometimes disguises the fact that he is a really hard worker. “Danny is a very talented and skilful player with good all-round technique. He’s strong, quick, good defensively as well as going forward, and he’s a
  22. Re: Manchester United Talents. Evandro Brandao: DOB: 07 May 1991 Portuguese striker Evandro Brandao was on Walsall’s books before joining for United. He signed Academy scholarship forms in July 2007 as he moved into the Reds’ Under-18s squad. A powerful striker, U18s coach Paul McGuinness describes Evandro as an “out-and-out forward with plenty of pace”. “Evandro came to us late from Walsall, which is obviously a different environment from Manchester United, but we hope he’ll develop rapidly,” added McGuinness. “He’s essentially in his first full year with us, so once he settles, I’m su
  23. Re: Northern Ireland Milk Cup 2008!! Watch out for Crumlin United in the U-15's. 3 of my mates play for them. They won the Fai cup the last 4 years in a row. Good Luck to Shamrock Rovers. I play for the under 13's. The team just got promoted to the top division in Dublin. Just realised someone who lives around the corner from me is playing for Cherry Orchard U-17's
  24. Re: Manchester United Talents. Daniel Alund: Swede Daniel Ålund has been training with our u15s and u18s. He's 15 and apparently a pacy, tricky left winger. The Sports Director at current club Brommapojkarna - Tommy Söderstöm - used to do some scouting for United and recommended Daniel to United as long as 4 years ago. Söderström describes Ålund as a great talent and a humble lad. United want him back as soon as possible and seem keen on signing him
  25. Re: Manchester United Talents. Joshua King: According to Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten, UNITED have signed 15 year old (born 1992) Joshua King from Norwegina PL side Vaalerenga. I must admit that I don't know much about this player, but I think he is a striker and wingplayer. He's playing for Norway U15, and for his club at Junior level(U19). In his debut for the U19, he had 1 goal and 1 assist, pretty good considering him playing players up to 4 years older. He's highly regarded as one of the most talented players at his age in norway. He is a technical very gifted player, and has a good
