  1. Aubameyang at Arsenal would be a great signing IMO, adds to our already rapid front line, fairly prolific and with loads of upside.....for the price being quoted of 28.7m? Sign him up.....

Excellent signing in Cech, it's been years knowing that should the opposition breach the defensive line, we have an absolute man mountain of a GK.....

  2. City sniffing around for Jack.........this should be a simple rejection......the days of players exchanging London for the Eastlands are in the past....we need to keep our players and send a strong message that we don't sell our best players anymore, we buy them....

  3. So Axel Witsel and Khedira headed Juve's way, makes Juve's midfield options just that little bit more cluttered....does that make Vidal and Pogba's departures more likely? Also, Wilshere's been charged by the FA......he wasn't charged last year when he did the exact same thing....why now? Simply ridiculous....double standards

  4. I don't get it? Wilshire's behavior during the parade is in no way acceptable' date=' second year in a row that he has encouraged irrelevant chants about Tottenham. And this is now allowed, is that a good imagine to show? He has thousands of admirers/fans that want to be exactly like him and yet he continues to model himself in that mould of perhaps an Arsenal "player". He probably won't get punished, which is a shame.[/quote']

Just a little harmless banter.........nothing serious...

  5. Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Wilshere's actually looked really good on the right' date=' much better than Ramsey who once again voiced the fact that he wants to plays centrally. Still don't understand why Wenger doesn't want to use a natural right winger though.

Trying to not get my hopes up about Vidal at the moment. It's not that long ago that he came out and spoke about how he was happy with Juventus and you can see why, and with the only British news sources being the Metro and Express, it's hard to look past anything other than 'click-bait'. The only promising news was, as mentioned below, the guy that broke the Alexis deal first also believes he will join us but let's wait and see. Can't see any new news reaching the surface until after the Copa América.

Another HUGE statement of intent if we pull this off early in the window. The teams around us are going to spend big. We need to match them as best we can.[/quote']

This increasingly likely Juve deal with Sami Khedira makes this Vidal deal that bit more believable.....just that wee bit.....we can all dream can't we?

  6. Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Really? I thought most Arsenal fans would be happy with that to be honest?

Cech for 10m is a no brainer.....he'd immediately galvanize our defence performance wise and psyche-wise....with our defense knowing the last line of defence is a goalkeeping legend..... Not some Polish maverick.....

  7. Re: Official Premier League Discussion Thread

I know he's got a decent managerial record and is doing well at Aston Villa' date=' but quite frankly I don't care, Sherwood's delusional.

"I don't know if there's a better striker in Europe right now. He's the best,"

"Benteke is going nowhere in the summer, no one can afford him,"

How can he honestly justify either of those comments. It's absurd and to be honest completely unneccesary. Can he not just get on with keeping Villa up with the knowledge that doing so doesn't make his players the best on the planet.[/quote']

Hahahaha, that is delusional....John Carver claiming to be the best league? I don't know what term would be apt for such a claim.....

  8. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread

Europa cup - no big clubs really takes it serious

Europe - England were great but dipped recently' date=' plus Blatter & Platni hates English

Where is Messi's heading? I would have thought a United fan would remember Messi scoring a header - 1 header *clap* *clap*

He has also scored long shots. hmm, sure about that

Ronaldo teamwork? Why does he get mad when his team mates score instead of him? He might be looking to break Raul record, he was frustrated he couldn't score during the game

Ball Skills? Dribbling the way Messi does is a skill and there is no one better at doing it. - I meant step overs, passing with ur shoulder etc

What has branding got to do with anything? Messi is one of the top Adidas athletes by the way but yet you choose to ignore that. Also finally his looks? Hahahahaha you really wish you were Ronaldo's lover. - Last part, he sponsored by Adidas the same sponsor of the balon D'Or, how weird also you cant open a shop of Messi clothes/pants so Football has to market him a different way by hype

What has his injury got to do with anything? Messi has done it all his career - Messi never had a serious knee injury and was 2 years out of the game - u got to have loads of talent to come back from that

    find ur comments a joke[/quote']

Your arguments are severely lacking in the depth department....I mean, 'Platini hates the English', that's just weak.....so by that logic he can influence who wins the Champs Lge or by that matter, perfornances on the pitch...are you suggesting there's match fixing? 'Messi's never had a serious injury'- is that his fault that he is relatively durable? Frustrated you say?- Football shall always remain a team sport....says a lot if you're disappointed not to have gotten the goal....even when your team's winning....I'm still yet to see what owning a store or clothing line has to do with footballing ability...Even Quaresma can do stepovers...is that what you're basing it on?

  9. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread

got to laugh at ur comments

Ronaldo had a SERIOUS knee injury and was out of the game for 2 years but still could do it when he returned

Pele and Best thing lol' date=' less athletic and didn't look after themselves as well as players do today. 60s and 70s were different, as less techno, money, fitness etc. Best was the 1st superstar of football, without him who known wat football would of been like

Ronaldinho did crazy skill on the ball, not just dribble, dribble, dribble. Can still remember his crazy goal vs chelsea or England

Ronaldo lol, Ronaldo is the complete player, he does has teamwork, he cant just get ball n keep - where's Messi headering, Jumping, taking the long range shot, Flair, Ball Skill, Messi is just hyped up as he cant win on looks or name branding

English has more top teams than Spain, During Ronaldo time at United the England were great in Europe[/quote']

Frankly, your arguments come off childish, not well thought out and contradictory at best....you claim or imply that The BPL is the benchmark of greatness yet you quote players who never graced the league....of whom we'd never doubt their greatness....We are privileged to see 2 players who would quite frankly be the best of their generation if they were born a generation apart...but when it comes down to it...opinions, facts, stats etc....most of them lean towards Messi....

Funny you say England has more top teams yet Spanish teams have dominated both premier European Club competitions in the past couple of years...

  11. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread

Your precious Ronaldinho told the entire Barca squad at the time that Messi would eventually be the best after his 1st training session with the senior team and he was laughed off....as told by Giovanni van Bronckhorst....'I've played with great players, Henry, Bergkamp and Ronaldinho himself, and never had I come to such a conclusion so quickly'

  12. Re: Official Arsenal Thread

I know this may sound crazy but if united don't sign falcao. I think Arsenal should get him honestly this guy is top class player proven. he had a poor season at united but l think he will fit in our system nicely. what do you guys think?

Wouldn't touch him with a 10 ft barge pole.....a woeful waste of money. 40m to trigger his sale? NO THANKS!!!
