  1. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread vague question that is useless to ask at the moment because Portugal was reviewed like a month ago or so.. No. Unless Sporting makes magic in the Europa League and this guy scores a lot of goals. But this is so improbable that it's even hard to imagine it. Just a reminder: Sporting just dropped to 5th in league.
  2. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread I'm going to blend in to this discussion (supposedly ended in the last post) because what matters right now is Emerson's present, and i've seen every match he's played this season. And to answer the original question. He is really purely average. He can run, he can solidly resist 90 minutes, he is a good defender, retrieves a good amount of balls, and offensively is improving, yet all he can do is run closer to the line to make an average cross. He is 88 right now, will only rise if Benfica does a great season, and this
  3. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread probably will rise to 82/83. MIGHT return to Benfica at the end of the season.
  4. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Look' date=' to be honest, i'm not so sure about Gaitan. He is too unstable for a 90 yet. Still, across next season he should be at a much better level of consistency. Rodrigo is a tall, fit striker who has a great running dribble, so much more in the style of Ronaldo than Messi (short touch dribble), and displays during the matches a "thirst" for goals that keeps him working very hard to score a goal. He is effective when it comes to shooting, not a hitman though. He fits perfectly in Benfica's team-play football.
  5. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Cazorla?? i wish he was in Benfica..
  6. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Both have 0% chances of reaching 90. Because both aren't starters in Porto. They might start every now and then' date=' but Porto's lineup right now seems to have Fernando, Moutinho and James in the midfield, with Belluschi being the 1st substitute. Alvaro has a slight chance for a rise to 91. Still, he will probably be transferred in the summer to a big club, where I expect him to be a starter. A good purchase for the future, to my mind. Kleber.. He isn't the starter anymore for a while, also I assume Porto will b
  7. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Carrillo will reach 86/87 by the end of the season. Ewerton will reach 85, might reach 86.
  8. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread To settle the Kleber situation: RIGHT NOW, Kleber is NOT a starter in Porto. He has been out of many matches, not even on the bench sometimes. He should start playing more again though. Hulk has been playing as a CF and Porto will probably purchase a CF in the winter market. Kleber's rating will STAY, given the current situation. Nolito is looking at a rise to 88 in the next changes IMO, even though he is NOT in the ideal XI of Benfica's coach. Still, he has scored 7 goals in the league and this counts a lot for SM.
  9. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread keep him if you are playing for the long term.. Paços de Ferreira is currently last in the league. If they are relegated, i'm certain he will be purchased by a better side. still, he's no super talent. hmm i'm sure DerbyPower can give you some better suggestions, still i suggest the following: - André Carrillo from Sporting, currently 83, interesting talent with increasing game time. Should be 86 by the end of the season and more in the future. - André Martins from Sporting, also with increasing game time, supposedl

  11. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Although this is the best time for any Porto player to perform very well and grab a starting XI spot, Rodriguez won't. The coach will give him few minutes, he will probably start the League Cup matches and that's it. His future isn't bright at all. It's very likely for him to move away in July (or even January) either back to Uruguay or to a middle-low-class european club. In SM, he's a player to get rid of.
  12. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread I admit it was rather passive-aggressive to rate Belluschi as average. I don't mean that. Some months ago' date=' I would say that he was the one player from FCP i would like to have in SLB. Let's put it in SM ratings. If Aimar is a 91 (which he should be), Belluschi is an 89,5 Agree fully (even with the idiot part..) Emerson is a normal player. Just normal. VERY effective. He's no Coentrão' date=' but if he doesn't compromise i rather have him there then an adapted CB.. (hmm where have I heard that before? )

  14. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread IMO Guarin is a strong midfielder with some interesting details and a good long-distance shot. Still' date=' I find the guy is mentally handicapped because he thinks he can score free kicks because he shoots well (wide statement... 1 out of 10 hit the goal) for the distance.. Let's look back. Katsouranis- DM/CB. Yebda - CM/DM/RM. Binya- DM. L.Robert- i don't even remember this guy. NONE are AM. You just picked the worse midfielders we've had in the past times (except Katso, he was good).
  15. Re: PORTUGAL – 1st and 2nd Division extensive thread - Discussion Thread Lol. We haven't been playing well, that's true, but Porto is far from that as well. Our football is based on team play and a step-by-step construction of dangerous opportunities. You rely on Hulk's ability, set pieces and long-distance shots.
