  1. Re: CalcioItalia's Italian Ratings Amazed that Inter got £40m plus a world-class striker in Eto'o and Hleb on loan. I think they definitely got the better end of the deal but we will see. Shouldn't have let Maxwell go for so little, but I'm sure Santon can step up to the plate. Palacios is a good signing for Genoa, they needed a replacement for Milito. Like Spam said, they need a new Motta now. Been hearing a lot about Pastore from Huracan (previously), if he's as good as everyone says he is then Palermo could have a good few seasons with him.
  2. Re: Official Real Madrid Thread What's the point in Real Madrid having a youth team anymore when they can just buy already developed superstars? Then again, the same can be said for a lot of clubs (Chelsea, Man Utd, etc.)
  3. Re: Official Red Devils thread United still need a striker who can score 20+ goals a season... And please nobody mention Owen in that category.
  4. Re: Official Real Madrid Thread Can't blame all your problems on Faubert, I'm afraid.
  5. Re: Official Red Devils thread Try: "Work ethic."
  6. Re: Official Red Devils thread Gone to Juventus apparently. Would've loved to see the guy in the Prem. Shame.
  7. Re: Official Red Devils thread He's Keane-esque, something Man Utd have been lacking since he went to Celtic. And if Arsenal can get him then United definitely could. Just imagine how it could have been next season: Ribery the new Ronaldo, Valencia on the other wing, Carrick the provider, Felipe Melo the box-to-box machine, with Rooney in his central position, scoring and assisting with Benzema. Same defence and you've got one hell of a team there. If only...
  8. Re: Official Red Devils thread Man Utd should hijack Arsenal's Felipe Melo bid.
  9. Re: BIG RISERS (MONEY MAKERS) The best!! Have you made three identical threads? Just with different titles?
  10. Re: Official Red Devils thread I hope for your sake that Obertan developes an end-product like they managed to do with Ronaldo - Turn that showpony into a Derby winner (so to speak). That's if they get him, which I'm not entirely convinced because I seem to remember him saying he wanted to go to Spain or Italy.
  11. Re: Argentinian Analysis That's really harsh on Huracan. The goalie was taken out, and yet play continued? In England if you even try to challenge the keeper for a header at a corner, 9 out of 10 times the keeper wins a free kick. That's one extreme to the other.
  12. Re: Official Real Madrid Thread Di Stefano is arguably the greatest player of all time, something I'm sure Raul hasn't and never will be related to. He was everywhere on the pitch and could do everything brilliantly, not to mention he led Madrid to five successive European Cups. Every Madrid fan (and to be honest most football fans) know that Di Stefano is the King of Real Madrid. Raul only comes close because he's Spanish and has been there for so long, but in terms of ability and impact on the club - he doesn't come close to Alfredo. Just a shame he never played in a World Cup. I think if he did the arguments for 'Greatest Player Ever' would more often include him with Maradona and Pele.
  13. Re: Official Real Madrid Thread Di Stefano (the TRUE King of Real Madrid) was far, far superior to Raul, so Raul honestly doesn't deserve this God-like status of his at Madrid.
  14. Re: Zhirkov flies in for medical at Chelsea Awesome signing, he's going to terrorize right backs and right wingers this year.
  15. Re: Best Squad Ever Produced Just... how??
  16. Re: Official Real Madrid Thread He was still voted Spain's best player of the 20th century.
  17. Re: Official Real Madrid Thread I still have no doubt that Barcelona will beat them this season and win the league again. Then the money won't really be worth it, and Madrid and Perez will realise it's pays (no pun intended) to have a Plan B: Youth policy - Something Madrid lack but Barcelona know the importantance of.
