  1. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Jumping the gun there mate. Liverpool have changed their policies in the 2010's decade, and aim to purchase young hungry talents and give them opportunites. The only 2 25-30 yr olds i'd consider if(/when:D) I was Liverpool gaffa, it'd be Andrea Rannochia or Garay. There's no other decent top quality CB out there between 25-30, to join the calibre of giants Liverpool.
  2. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Maybe so, but i could guarentee my bottom dollar, that Indi and Martinez would succeed easily at Liverpool. Liverpool don't want any CB's over 24/25, unless it's a Thiago Silva tbh. Liverpool have enough 'experience' with Johnson, Reina and Leiva at the back. They need pace, someone young, who has the potential to be better then Mats Hummels and Thiago Silva. I would cry if Liverpool ever purchased Wollscheid i.e. the modern day Hyypia. Imagine Hyypia selling Wollscheid on the cheap for 5m to Liverpool!! I would be very pleased!! Bundesliga, Eredivisee and Ligue 1 are all much more physicial league's then the Barclays Prem mate. The Barclays Prem has become a sissy league in the past 3 years. It virtually a non-contact sport these days with divers like Young, Bale, Nani, Wilshere etc. All the best CBs on the planet play in Bundesliga,Eredivisee, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1. You get the odd Bob of a defender who's great in the Barclays prem, thats about it really. The quality in defenders has deteriorated in the BPL over the past 4 years since Liverpools downfall. Not anymore with their upheavel now!!
  3. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Indi, Martinez, Wollscheid, Victor Ruiz, Garay, Papa, Matip, Van Dijk, Van Der Hoorn, Isimat Mirin, Ginter, De Vrij, Amat, Zouma, Marquinhos, Eric Dier, Yaya Banana etc etc. JMH is just being pro-Barclays Prem and being highly inconsiderate of the VERY TOP CB's in Europe's elite.
  4. Re: Official Liverpool Thread ^^ That right there' date=' is why Liverpool hasn't won won a league title in 21 years LOL :D 1 - Mate, Liverpool might as well just sell all their best players if the management ever considered bringing in Lescott to replace Agger or Skrtel. I've never lived in a time where Liverpool purchase rejects from their rivals, and hopefully never will. 2 - Unproven? You really have never seen Inigo or Indi play LOL. Feyenoord 3rd and Soceidad 4th, mainly because of these 2 martialing their back lines. If you don't take any risks in life, you don't reap the rewards - and that in football is successes in relentless trophies including the league title which has eluded Liverpool for 21 years now. 3 - I don't see any Utd fan complaining that Zaha is unproven in the EPL. They get on with it, and stick with young guns and win relentless league titles. Liverpool would be going backwards if they signed a player as crappy as Lescott. P.S. Indi can play CB, LB CDM, Inigo Martinez can also fill into RB as well as his usual CB position!! 4 birds with 2 stones.
  5. Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread No chance. Borussia Dortmund are more structured and equipped enough to attack Bayern next season then Real and Valencia against Barcelona, as are Schalke with one man attack Draxler - the Bale of Schalke. Bayern i believe and agree will however cruize to the title if they purchase Bale, Rooney and potentially Neymar on top of Gotze and Kirchoff tbh. Guardiola + Metzelder could be quite a coaching partnership, but they'l have to be damn good to beat Kloppo next season, as I can see BvB attacking the league title instead of the UCL next season, if they win the champions league this saturday.
  6. Re: Official Spanish La Liga Discussion Thread Wow' date=' that pretty much limits the options to Barcelona..... and well.... Barcelona LOL:D Dam lol. Neymar at BvB or Bayern would be more interesting. I don't really understand anyone wanting to join La Liga but for money. I dont get the buzz of winning 34 out of 38 games as a formality and cruizing a title by 10-20 points. Barcelona have La Liga wrapped up by every December if Messi and Iniesta are on song, and the rest of the team performs adequately.
  7. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Mate, i said Better + Experienced. If i said just 'experienced' than i'd look like an idiot, but i didn't, and Lescott isn't good enough to join Liverpool. He's too old, slow, and no the quality Livrpool want. With Liverpool 400m in debt, the last thing they want is to panic in the TM, and purchase old has-beens who have very few years left in them. At least with the 5 CB's i mentioned, you'd be getting at least 10-12 years of good continuity.
  8. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Both of whom are better then Agger mate. You ever seen them play or just guessing?
  9. Re: Official Liverpool Thread 1 - Inigo Martinez + Martins Indi >> Alterweireld + Okore. Have you actually seen Martinez or Indi play before? I guarentee you someone like Borrusia Dortmund or Napoli will snap them up soon, Liverpool should look for some smash and grab deals. 2 - Luke Shaw >> Digne. Liverpool prefer to sign British players over French, and in this case it would be understandable. Shaw is much better then Digne, he's younger, in a better league and more devloped at 17. 3 - Why do Liverpool need Camacho when we have Henderson and Shelvey still devloping?? Liverpool don't need anymore CDM!!! They need CAM's and CF's!! 4 - Lamela + Doumbia + Hughes >> Eriksen + Mertens. Why should Liverpool try to raid Eredivisee ( Unless they are Martins Indi or De Vrij), when they can raid teams like CSKA Moskva and Roma on the cheap?? 5 - Koval > Ryan. Not to mention Koval is a first teamer, good UCL experience and upcoming to potentially replace Reina, as Liverpool missed to golden glove to get Ter Stegen and lost out to Barcelona/Schalke. 6 - Most of Liverpools youth won't cut the first team, the whole academy needs to improve a touch. Out of every 15 youth academy player Lpool produces, realistically only 2 or 3 cut the grade to the first XI. At least with my team' date=' Liverpool might have some ambitions. Liverpool need to follow Utd's policy of purchasing upcoming U22's, who actually have skill and talent. Coutinho's been one of the first great buys by Rodgy, it's time to get Lamela, Doumbia, Ross Barkley, Will Hughes on top of that etc. I never said Skrtel was rubbish, just that he's lost his way. I'm pretty sure a good salesman like Daniel Levy could shift Skrtel for 18-22m very easily. Liverpool usually have pathetic negotiators and scouts, so i'l tend to agree, i'm too over optimistic on that deal. Either way, the millions and millions of Liverpool fans want to see Inigo Martinez, Martins Indi, Ross Barkley and Will Hughes in a Liverpool shirt next season. BR should make it happen.
  10. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13
  11. Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Nice. I think you could be right on this one. Although Robben comes close, and Alaba and Alba are not far behind. Add Baines to that list too.
  12. Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion thread All of that doesn't really matter in a one off final. Last seasons DFB Pokal final should be the trend to look at - BvB have domineered FcB head-head for the past 3 years straight. Also Badstubers re-injured his torn-ligament which cannot be good. He's arguably FcB's best CB, and if Van Buyten or Boateng plays, their in for a slaughtering from the ReusDowski partnership.
